[The killer bride]

[Episode 20]

Look at this.

The evidence is irrefutable.

[Criminal Si Yueyao, He Yunxing's wife, is actually a spy of Daqiu.]

If you want to live,

be a good girl and sign it.

Master Mao, you're really eager, aren't you?

You've even prepared the document for me to frame He Yunxing.

You know what?

Since I came in here,

I've never planned on leaving alive.

I didn't realize

you were such a tough girl.

Come on.

Let's see

how long you can stay tough.

By the way,

what was that technique of He Yunxing's called again?

Ah, yes.

The Soul-Capturing Needle,

right?

Well,

I learned a trick from the old folks in the harem too.

Today,

I'll try it out on you.

Uh-oh.

I didn't get it right.

This one hit the right spot.

Will you sign it or not?

Stop!

Your Highness. Mr. Gu.

This is not a place you should come to.

Pack your things.

It's time for you to return to the capital.

Master Mao. I'm afraid what you're doing

smacks of framing a court official, doesn't it?

I'm here on imperial orders to investigate.

But it seems to me that you're seeking personal revenge, Master Mao!

My grandpa, His Majesty, sent you here to conduct a fair investigation,

yet you're trying to force a confession here.

I didn't expect Your Highness and Mr. Gu

to be friendly with this spy of Daqiu.

If His Majesty were to find out,

I'm afraid...

What are you talking about, Master Mao?

Her Highness and I are only here

to ask Sui Feng

how he has been using us until now.

Alright.

Your Highness and Mr. Gu,

please proceed with your questioning then.

Move aside!

Yueyao.

Is Yunxing

okay?

Master Mao wouldn't let him in.

He knew Master Mao would give you a hard time,

so he asked us to come and check on you.

Changning.

Mr. Gu.

I want to ask you

for a favor.

[Penalty Prison]

How is Yueyao?

She's alright. She's doing fine inside.

Don't worry.

Has something happened to Yueyao?

Yueyao asked you not to force your way in.

Let's think of another way.

We'll make sure you see her tonight.

That's more like it.

Don't you think?

Oh, Mr. Gu.

Mr. Gu.

You've brought us wine again.

This is fine wine.

Drink up, brothers!

Oh, it smells so good.

Let's try it.

This wine is really good.

Even better than the wine we had at lunch.

You're right.

Oh, this wine...

This is strong stuff.

I'm so dizzy.

Ooh, wow, this wine really packs a punch.

I can't take it anymore, either.

This...

Go.

Go.

♫A lifetime is just a few hundred months♫

Yueyao.

♫We glance at each other, unaware♫

Come with me.

Yunxing.

♫With a gentle brush of flower and snow♫

I told you

Okay.

♫Every step becomes a vow♫

Okay.

♫I love you forever in this life♫

♫We won't see each other again in the next life♫

Father is in the east,

♫If we never start, how do we know if it's not in the stars?♫

so let's bow to the east.

♫For you, I'm willing♫

Okay.

♫Do you know♫

I heard

that your parents have passed away.

We're getting married today.

From now on,

I will love and cherish you.

I heard that your birth parents have passed away.

I'm an orphan myself, too.

♫A lifetime is just a few hundred months♫

From today on,

♫Yet, by fortune, I met you♫

we will be husband and wife.

We'll depend on each other,

Let's not talk about unhappy things.
