This battle

we cannot win.

No.

I must go back.

Father,

why?

Yan,

you cannot leave today.

Why?

Didn't you ask me to protect the hostage?

But now,

the Emperor wants him dead.

Once the hostage died,

people will suffer greatly, Father.

Now the Emperor sees clearly

that you and the hostage share a common enemy.

I'm afraid that...

He has saved my life!

I cannot be an ungrateful person.

Yan,

listen to me.

In order to save my life,

you have already killed a common girl.

And now you want to kill Baili Jingxing

and more innocent people?

How dare you!

Do you know what you're saying?

You are no longer

that great general who had the world at heart.

Guards,

take her down!

You people?

You think you can stop me?

Su Nanyan,

today

If you dare take half a step out,

you will see your father

die before you.

Baili, Miss Su

went to the General's

and has not yet returned.

Qingqing!

Let's go.

What has happened?

Si is dead.

What did you say?

Talk outside.

General.

Let's go.

Baili Jingxing,

do you know a hostage learning martial arts is a capital crime?

I have no intention of rebelling.

You've known all along.

We cannot afford the consequences of covering up for the hostage.

Today, the two of you

can't take even a step out of the General's Mansion!

General,

I don't want to hurt you.

Baili Jingxing,

if you make a move in this current situation,

it will result in a lose-lose outcome.

You should just give up.

At least I can ensure Yan's safety.

Why should I believe you?

At the Flower Festival,

why ate your word?

As a general,

I must protect the well-being of many.

You even deceived your own daughter!

As my daughter,

you should know the greater good.

I am not your daughter.

You are just a tool of the King of Nanyuan.

Even I understand this.

Why don't you?

If you can,

arrest us to claim credit.

Mr. Baili,

if the two of you leave this place,

I can't save either of you.

Don't listen to him.

I beg of you,

let her go.

General,

if I am willing to take on all of this,

can you guarantee to save her?

Do not forget

that she is my daughter.

There really is such a miraculous thing in this world?

It comes from the Floating Sea Market of the Western Regions.

Now by Baili Jingxing's side,

Zhao Qingqing who can't do martial arts has the day,

and Su Nanyan has the night.

It seems after I deal with Dongque,

I must go have a look at the western city.

Your Majesty, whatever you want,

I will try everything to get it.

Your Majesty,

a secret report from Dongque.

King of Dongque died yesterday.

They kept it secret,

waiting for Baili to return

for the throne.

This is earlier

than my estimation.

Beimo,

just as you've said,

kill the hostage during daylight.

I will send you the best assassin.

As for Su Nanyan, or Zhao Qingqing',

since they are in love,

just send them on their way together.

Anyway, once the hostage dies,

all people in the General's Mansion must be buried with him.

General,

from Lady Nanyan,

I just found a letter.

To whom?

It seems

to be a woman named Zhao Qingqing.

(I saved you.)

Zhao Qingqing?

I see.

Your Majesty,

if the two of them join forces with the General,

it will be difficult.

Su Mu holds heavy troops

and is deeply loved by the people.

Do you have any ideas?

Under the name of protecting hostage,

firstly take control of them,

isolate them from the General.

Baili Jingxing

will start his journey back to Dongque soon.

We must not give them the chance to conspire.

Then, when do we take action?

Right when Baili Jingxing sets off back to Dongque.

Once they leave Nanyuan,

we will make our move.

Zhao Qingqing can't do martial arts.

Baili Jingxing alone

cannot withstand it.

The future king of Dongque

will not die in Nanyuan State.

This is one point.

Secondly,

since you're concerned that the general's power and popularity

might affect your position,

we can send the general

to escort the hostage back to Dongque.

If the General dies in battle,

the trouble with the Su family will be resolved.

The Founding Grand General of Nanyuan

died protecting the future king of Dongque,

I presume Dongque people

won't find any fault with this.

And such a heroic deed,

isn't it precisely the reputation General Su desires?

My lady?

Hello?

Miss

My lady?

General,

His Majesty sent someone here.

Why you here?

Come with me.

Let's go.

Qingqing,

don't listen to Su Mu.

If it weren't for me,

you wouldn't be involved.

Qingqing,

Su Mu is Su Nanyan's father.

He won't hurt you.

But you can't say

he won't do anything to you!

If he reveals your martial art

to King of Nanyuan,

it will be too bad.

No, you must go.

Let's go!
