Mr. Jiang, here.

Report.

Mr. Jiang, an old Taoist wants to see you.

Do you need to bother me for this?

Just send him away.

Useless.

Didn't you listen?

He asked me to mention Zhao Qingqing,

and then you will meet him.

(Baili's Mansion)

(Su Nanyan, I can join forces with you.)

Miss Su, Mr. Baili wants to see you.

Baili.

Why don't you speak?

In the day, you call me Baili,

while at night,

why do you call me Mr. Baili?

King of Nanyuan has bestowed us the marriage,

so of course you are my Baili.

As for the night,

I am being shy.

Really?

Of course.

Now that we are married,

I shall certainly treat you well.

But you told me

that your marriage to me

was only to protect me, the hostage from Dongque,

and not out of affection.

You said this just yesterday,

and now have you forgotten?

H-How could I have?

I mean,

I must protect you well.

You are now in mortal danger.

There's no time to talk about affection.

Am I right?

Think it over.

I'm now assassins' target.

surrounded by dangers.

Well...

No assassins during the day, right?

They don't have the guts

to come here in broad daylight

and assassinate me.

Besides, my wife is the top master.

They should not dare to come.

Of course.

Even if they dare to come,

I'll spare none.

What's wrong?

It's okay.

Didn't you say to protect me?

As a grown man,

you should protect me.

You!

Mr. Baili.

She did a pretty good job

grabbing you back there.

Does it count as knowing martial arts?

Su Nanyan.

Where did you learn your martial arts from?

I've seen you make moves.

But the techniques you used seem to be of two different styles.

Well...

Speaking of it,

I have a long story to tell.

I started learning from a Shaolin elder at three,

mastered the Nine Yin Scriptures at five,

and comprehended the Great Compassion Mantra at eight.

At twelve, a Bodhisattva came to me in a dream.

Upon waking, I had attained an indestructible body.

My martial arts techniques are unfathomable.

You know nothing.

You won't tell.

What?

Don't trust me?

No.

You saw how that strongman lost

to me.

I had already seen through his moves at that time.

I did my moves to confuse him

at the start.

In war there is no deceit too great.

All for that final move.

Mr. Baili.

Are you okay?

You're injured.

Si, Mr. Baili is injured again.

Mr. Baili.

You're bleeding.

Mr. Jiang.

We haven't met before.

What do you want with me?

If you do not know me,

why would you agree to meet me?

I have worked for years,

and I am especially sensitive to scents.

The fragrance of southern locust on you is quite unique.

I wonder if you still remember

you didn't wear a mask

when you asked me how to cure Su Nanyan's illness

the first time.

Previously,

Baili Jingxing from Dongque

and the daughter of General Su Mu

once came to me for a talk,

yet I said nothing.

Feel free to speak your mind.

Five hundred taels.

You will remain a masked man.

Making a bargain?

Mr. Jiang.

You killed Zhao Qingqing just for...

One thousand taels.

Leave Nanyuan Nation forever.

(Baili's Mansion)

Did Zhao Qingqing

go to Jiang Beimo for revenge?

Caiwei.

Caiwei.

Tell me, who sent you?

Tell me.

You'll never know.

Mr. Baili.

Mr. Baili.

Mr. Baili.

Where's Mr. Baili? He was just here.

I'm right here.

Miss Su.

Don't, this is Mr. Baili.

Come on, Mr. Baili.

Mr. Baili, I've come late.

Not late, Miss Su.

Just in time.

You can already move now?

What's going on?

Did an assassin injure you?

Miss Su.

You did it during the day.

I...

Zhao Qingqing

knows that I have to protect the hostage.

Why come he is injured?

Doesn't she want to join forces with me?

Go patrol again.

Yes.

Yan.

Father.

You're injured?

Not serious.

Father, weren't you outside the city?

I heard there were assassins at the Baili's Mansion.

I'm worried,

so I hurried over.

Yan.

What's with your hand?

Father, let's talk inside.

You...

Yan, you...

Father.

I have caused you a lot of trouble before.

Rest assured.

From now on, I will definitely protect Mr. Baili well,

not to fail His Majesty and you.

Yan.

It's good that you understand.

Have you found out the identity

of the assassins?

Not yet.

But I think

that this is related to Jiang Beimo.

Jiang Beimo?

What benefits does he have

in doing this?

Yan.

Anything weird to Baili today?

Father.

I have a question.

What is it?

How was my illness cured?
