And having the opportunity
to come back on The Challenge

is helping me
sort of find myself again.

Well, you survived
the Eras Invitational,

and many of you
got your first taste

of the Arena.

Moving forward,

you need to work as a team.

The dream team is here.

The team
with the most experience ever.

I didn't do that hot

in the individual competition

that we just had,

but now we're gonna be working
as a team.

that I don't want to win

is Era Two.

Bananas and me,
we haven't liked each other

for years, and right now

they are fighting
with each other,

which is perfect for my game.

Now, before we get started,

I need each era

to select one man and one woman

to represent your team.

Right now.

Should we go
with the last winners?

I mean, Tony did win the elim,
so I like that.

We have no idea
what "representative" means.

Being from Era One,

it gives you
all of the experience.

And knowing that there
were representatives,

eh, the likelihood of them
going in if you lose

is pretty likely.

My team

doesn't really love me,

so I'm not volunteering

for.

Don't give me
another reason to go in.

to those badass dragon boats.

around the entire island.

Once you get back,
you will then race over

to this gorgeous dinner

that I have prepared for you.

You will then have to eat

a complete plate
of Vietnamese delicacy.

And, man,

this menu is a different level.

We have snake and rat medley.

-That's gonna be disgusting.

Pig brains
with blood-caked vinaigrette.

Oh, that's good protein.

Coconut worms.

Duck embryo, otherwise known

- as balut.

I'm a vegan.

team representative,

Once the feasts are complete,

there are 40 shields.

Those shields
represent each season

of The Challenge.
You must place

every shield in perfect order.

First team to get it done
will win today's challenge

and be the only team safe
from elimination.

The good thing is that
we have a really dynamic team.

We have Jordan
and Devin and Tony

helping us figure out
who's gonna be sitting where

on the boat.

We're pulling the W today, guys.

This is gonna be
about communicating,

working together,

finding our rhythm,

-and hopefully...

It's always important

to win, but today, especially,
just because this is

our first time having to
nominate ourselves as leaders,

and it's way too early
for this team to be smaller.

We're confident in Darrell
and Jodi leading the team today.

And we have the Viking himself

leading the charge
on that rowboat.

I think we're
gonna be all right.

We're the only ones here
who actually know the order

of the first half
of The Challenge.

were actually in it.

The battle starts.

This is the first challenge
to go against other eras.

We have to absolutely dominate.

Let the games begin.

We are playing Gladieater.

Each one of our eras
has to get in one of those

really long dragon boats,
and we're gonna have to row

our cute little boat
around the island.

Once we get the boat back,
we can get up there

to our eating stations,
where each one of us

has to eat one
absolutely terrifying plate.

Finally, we need to complete

a perfectly aligned puzzle,

which is all 40 seasons'
shields in order.

This is the first challenge

where we'll be competing
as eras.

So, we need to win today to gain

power and respect in this game.

My biggest motivation
right now is that

I'm away from my family,

and I'm feeling really solid

about our era.

Era One has been
around the block,

and I didn't train
to come here to lose.

I trained to come here to win.

Yeah. I'm left.

I volunteered to be
a representative

because I have faith in my era
and I have faith in myself.

We came to play.

We're very strong,
and this is an opportunity

for us to prove we're gonna be
pretty hard to beat.

our power as an era,

throughout the rest of the game.

My job is to steady this boat

and make sure that we get on
the same page with our rowing.

I want the most security

incredibly confident that

whether or not we go
into elimination, at some point,

we are going to find ourselves
in those same two winner chairs.

I came in, I made a splash,

but, unfortunately,
Tony's back on time-out.

I just wish it wasn't a puzzle
that I went out on.

I would've loved it
to be something physical,

but no matter what,
it is what it is, no excuses.

did a fantastic job coaching him
along through the puzzle.

My guys on my side were

having a tougher time
helping me figure it out.

Well, honestly, I figured

that Derrick would just
nominate hisself.

Like, if it came down to it,

neither of us was gonna budge,
me or Averey.

Then Derrick was like, "Look,
I'm gonna go ahead and go down."

Obviously, that didn't happen.

And my entire plan
completely backfired.

Even without me, Era Three has
a very strong chance

of going this thing
all the way to the end.

They got some stiff competition.

the male standpoint.
