I'm in that house.

And I'm on a team with two people who really

don't want me there. Johnny and Laurel have

thrown challenges in the past to get rid of me.

Why wouldn't they do it again?

But on the other hand,

I've got an entire house full of people

that I feel really comfortable with.

We'll see where that gets me.

My era, Era Four

did have a very big loss

with Nurys and with Paulie.

I have to stay strong. I have to keep fighting

for Nurys, for my family.

It's gonna be the toughest battle probably yet.

Horacio is probably the best guy on Era Four.

Obviously, I know that he is feeling really sad.

So I'm hoping that he has his head in the game because

we need to be fully aligned and fully centered as a unit.

Crossing the line with Aviv is probably

one of the most memorable Challenge moments.

I know for a fact I could trust her 100%.

For me to win this Challenge, the money will be nice,

but to solidify my name in the conversation

as the-- one of the all-time greats.

To be up there with the CTs, the Johnnys,

the Jordans would be that much more better.

The game has changed, I've obviously changed.

So I'm a little bit, like, nervous about that.

For me to come back

after 18 years,

there's a sense of having

to prove that I could do it again

at 40 with two kids.

To be honest, as much as I want to say

that this time I'm playing it

for my kids, I'm actually playing it more for me.

You know, day to day as a mom,

I think you're really giving so much of who you are

to everyone else.

And having the opportunity to come back on The Challenge

is helping me sort of find myself again.

to your second challenge here in beautiful Vietnam on this season

Battle of the Eras.

Well, you survived the Eras Invitational,

and many of you got your first taste

of the Arena.

Moving forward,

you need to work as a team.

The dream team is here.

The team with the most experience ever.

I didn't do that hot

in the individual competition

that we just had,

but now we're gonna be working as a team.

This is... awesome.

The team

that I don't want to win

is Era Two.

Bananas and me, we haven't liked each other

for years, and right now

they are fighting with each other,

which is perfect for my game.

Now, before we get started,

I need each era

to select one man and one woman

to represent your team.

Right now.

Should we go with the last winners?

I'll rep.

I mean, Tony did win the elim, so I like that.

We have no idea what "representative" means.

Being from Era One,

it gives you all of the experience.

And knowing that there were representatives,

eh, the likelihood of them going in if you lose

is pretty likely.

My team

doesn't really love me,

so I'm not volunteering

for.

Don't give me another reason to go in.

All right, so, who's gonna be representing for Era One?

It's gonna be Derek for the guys.

I don't really know Tony that well,

but Tony's really strong.

I just seen him take out Leroy.

And I have so much confidence in my era, so...

I think this is gonna go pretty smoothly.

And Era Four.

It's gonna be me, TJ, Kaycee,

-and, um, our guy Kyland over here. -And me.

Okay, now that we got that out of the way,

let's get this party started. I'd like

to welcome everybody to Gladieater.

- Yeah! - Here's how it's gonna work.

First things first, you're gonna race over

to those badass dragon boats.

You are gonna row that boat

all the way around the entire island.

Once you get back, you will then race over

to this gorgeous dinner

that I have prepared for you.

You will then have to eat

a complete plate of Vietnamese delicacy.

And, man,

this menu is a different level.

We have snake and rat medley.

-Not again. -I can't. -That's gonna be disgusting.

Pig brains with blood-caked vinaigrette.

Oh, that's good protein.

Coconut worms.

Duck embryo, otherwise known

- as balut. - Vomity vomit.

Boiled cow eyes.

I'm a vegan.

You know what, we have something

for you as well.

Tofu.

Tori's favorite!

Durian smells like

a dead body

in a shake.

So many gross things.

Disgusting.

It is the most disgusting

display of food I've ever seen in my life.

With me being team representative,

bet the house.

Once the feasts are complete,

there are 40 shields.

Those shields represent each season

of The Challenge. You must place

every shield in perfect order.

First team to get it done will win today's challenge

and be the only team safe from elimination.

The good thing is that we have a really dynamic team.

We have Jordan and Devin and Tony

helping us figure out who's gonna be sitting where

on the boat.

We're pulling the W today, guys.

I really feel it, man.

This is gonna be about communicating,

working together,

finding our rhythm,

-and hopefully... -Staying calm.

...we can stay calm.

It's always important

to win, but today, especially, just because this is

our first time having to nominate ourselves as leaders,

and it's way too early for this team to be smaller.

-So, we definitely have to have this win today. -Yeah.

We're confident in Darrell and Jodi leading the team today.

And we have the Viking himself

leading the charge on that rowboat.

I think we're gonna be all right.

We're the only ones here who actually know the order

of the first half of The Challenge.

Because some of us were actually in it.

-We were in it! -Because we are actually there.

The battle starts.

This is the first challenge to go against other eras.

We have to absolutely dominate.

Let the games begin.

We are playing Gladieater.

Each one of our eras has to get in one of those

really long dragon boats, and we're gonna have to row

our cute little boat around the island.

Once we get the boat back, we can get up there

to our eating stations, where each one of us

has to eat one absolutely terrifying plate.

Finally, we need to complete

a perfectly aligned puzzle,

which is all 40 seasons' shields in order.

This is the first challenge

where we'll be competing as eras.

So, we need to win today to gain

power and respect in this game.

My biggest motivation right now is that

I'm away from my family,

and I'm feeling really solid

about our era.

Era One has been around the block,

and I didn't train to come here to lose.

I trained to come here to win.

Yeah. I'm left.

I volunteered to be a representative

because I have faith in my era and I have faith in myself.

We came to play.

We're very strong, and this is an opportunity

for us to prove we're gonna be pretty hard to beat.

-Right? -Right!

It kind of freaks me out being a captain because,

if we don't win this,

I'm probably going to be

the one that's going into an elimination.

Era Two's gonna have to all come together

and get this win.

Era Three is in the lead, and we're in the lead in a big way.

This game is built on timely wins,

and it is always good to win the first one.

So, if we can get this win today,

and we can appropriately leverage

our power as an era,

it's gonna have a ripple effect throughout the rest of the game.

My job is to steady this boat

and make sure that we get on the same page with our rowing.

I will lead them to victory.

To be a good team,

you have to trust your team.

these other teams are pulling away.

This is a chance for us to know how we work as an era,

who the real leaders are,

who listens up, and who adapts.

I know how to row a boat.

I do it all the time back home in Alaska.

And I'm like, okay, I think it's time for me and Michele

to take over this boat.

And we are catching up to Era Two.

Era Three are absolutely crushing it,

but I need to set the tone right now with eating

because we don't know what it means for the captains yet.

And so, as Averey and Tony have nominated themselves,

we have to keep our team safe.

We cannot put our fate in somebody else's hands.

I'm just grabbing the first thing I can get my hands on.

And in the past, when you're the leader and you lose,

you go into elimination.

I'm concerned.

to go against Darrell and Jodi.

This is exactly the reason

why I did not volunteer for this position.

But Aviv is a very powerful woman,

and she's willing to take on

whatever comes her way.

And Derek's competitiveness is extremely strong.

Out of all the people that are here,

I probably know Averey and Tony the least,

so I have no idea where their thoughts are

about who to send in against us. We just have

no idea what's gonna be happening

in the Arena, so, this is

This is the season to take big swings.

What do people do in this game?

They save their friends.

You can do it, too, and save Derek.

I don't know Tony and Averey. I don't know how they play,

but I have the best relationships

with people in Era Three.

I want to be able to work with Era Three.

So, your girl knows

how to squirm out of things, how to talk to people,

how to paint a picture

and make it make sense strategically.

So that's what I'm gonna do.

The bigger picture is,

they would want us more

-as an ally than not. -As an ally? Yeah.

If you do Kyland and Kaycee a solid,

they probably have a higher chance of winning,

and then maybe they do something for us in the future.

My motives going into the Chamber--

I want the most security I can get, so,

Era Four,

if you can make me a promise

that you're gonna look out for me down the road,

I will throw in Derek and Aviv.

That could really pay off

for our game moving forward.

I don't want votes to be the thing

that makes our team go down...

...because of interpersonal relationships

on different teams. That's just gonna happen naturally.

This absolutely changed

the dynamic of the game.

I have too many friends

that I've made over the course of the years.

We're going to do our best to work together,

but at the same time, we recognize

that we are spread across multiple eras,

and this game is going to get complicated, so,

fingers crossed.

This is something I can't be in.

They are a very strong team.

This one just sucks because it's me

who is making you in a position that I know

that makes you uncomfortable, but

I just hope it all works itself out.

I feel like there is a lot of people here

Derek and I have been friends

for over a decade at this point.

We are friends. We're friends outside of this game,

and I can speak for my partner.

If our roles were reversed, and me and her were sitting there,

this wouldn't even be a question.

I wouldn't even have to deliberate with you guys.

of all people, know how to play this game.

Two strong teams sit before us.

You send us against Darrell and Jodi, and they do win,

what's that doing for the game?

You guys have a strong team, straight up.

The reality is, you guys will not win every single time.

thinking for longevity.

What could you say to your group

to keep us out of elimination?

Our group is 100% wanting to take big shots.

No, I know, but we also have numbers on our side, too.

I hate having to beg for staying in, but

it's way too early in the game for me to be in.

And on Era Three, I have Jonna, I have Nia, and I have Averey.

Like, we go way back.

This is where we build relationships.

Kaycee has a very strong track record

of following her word and not just protecting her friends,

but protecting the people

who work with her.

Tony-- he was

just voted in

by his own era to go into elimination.

He clearly has limited connections in this house.

Right now is an opportunity for him to gain a favor with both

myself and Kaycee.

Both of us feel incredibly confident that

whether or not we go into elimination, at some point,

we are going to find ourselves in those same two winner chairs.

Tony needs to ask himself

whether or not he wants us to be friends,

or to owe him a vendetta.

Y'all want to plead your case on maybe who y'all would

want to see down there, if y'all have a preference?

If I had to do it, I would rather go against

Aviv and Derek.

moving forward, to me, that makes the most sense.

This is the first time

from the get-go and has to honor that.

When I say go, you will race as fast as you can

to uncover the directions.

Then you're gonna race back

and you're gonna grab one of those heavy tiles

and start building yourself a walkway

towards your clue board.

You're gonna place two tiles

in each frame.

You can only place one tile at a time.

You got to fill each frame before moving to the next.

But if you make a mistake, well,

you're gonna have to remove the tiles one at a time.

First one to build their sidewalk all the way,

no mistakes, and hit that finish line

will win tonight's elimination and stay in the game.

The losing team's targets, they're coming

straight into the elimination.

The winning team's targets go to the Chamber.

This new element of winning an elimination

and getting to select targets from each era

totally switches up the vibe.

There's really no way to stay safe.

and whoever has to go against each other,

it's going to be an absolute show.

The game has changed completely now

with whoever wins in elimination

having the ability to pick a target.

It doesn't go just winning an elimination.

Now you have to think about

winning an elimination and who do you want to throw in?

And it also means that your social game

has to be on point.

One day you could be on top, and the next day

you're down in the Arena.

I just wish I wouldn't have nominated myself as captain.

Honestly,

if I could go in a little time machine and head back,

I would have changed that.

I was the only female on our team

who knew all 40 seasons in order.

'Cause I was the only one who was prepared.

Why did I have to be the one

to sacrifice myself?

I just got terrible positioning in the game.

I was, like, as far away from everybody

as I could possibly be

and I couldn't hear anybody,

and I was so gassed that my brain just wasn't working.

But she beat me.

I'm just double upset because

my birthday is in three days.

And I was really looking forward

to celebrating that birthday here,

because I turned 23 on my Road Rules season.

And I want to turn 43 here.

So this was a really special season

for me to come and do.

I would love Era One to win.

I'd love for Derrick and Rachel to win.

I came in, I made a splash,

but, unfortunately, Tony's back on time-out.

I just wish it wasn't a puzzle that I went out on.

I would've loved it to be something physical,

but no matter what, it is what it is, no excuses.

Darrell and Era One, uh,

did a fantastic job coaching him along through the puzzle.

My guys on my side were

having a tougher time helping me figure it out.

Well, honestly, I figured

that Derrick would just nominate hisself.

Like, if it came down to it,

neither of us was gonna budge, me or Averey.

Then Derrick was like, "Look, I'm gonna go ahead and go down."

Obviously, that didn't happen.

And my entire plan completely backfired.

Even without me, Era Three has a very strong chance

of going this thing all the way to the end.

They got some stiff competition.

Era One is gonna be tough,

especially from the male standpoint.

Hey, look, I told Darrell:

on Dirty 30 I sent him home,

so he got me back on this one.

He's sending me home. I told him

I will be back and we'll run it again.
