MARY: Once again, I'm at the bottom.

I keep being at the bottom.

All the votes were for Mary,

which means we're going to vote again.

First vote: Justin.

One vote left.

Sai.

Oh, my God.

We are officially deadlocked.

The only person who has a voice

in tonight's Tribal is Cedrek.

I'll make my decision with a stipulation.

That you and you can cut it.

Justin, you are the third person

voted out of Survivor 48.

The tribe has spoken.

CEDREK: When it started raining, it was like,

"All right, so we have officially had

the full Survivor experience."

We have the rain, the cold.

We're freezing.

CEDREK: We're struggling.

We got poured on in the rain, in the cold,

all last night.

[thunder rumbling]

And at Tribal,

I had to decide between my two closest allies in this game,

in front of them.

So, moving forward in this game with Mary and Sai

puts me in a tricky situation.

But I am glass half full at the core.

I am still positive that there

is a way to the end of this game

with me being there at the end.

SAI: Did Justin

really not have the idol?

I don't think he had it.

- Okay. - And we spent a lot of time

- looking for it together. - Mm-hmm.

The only reason I ask is because

I feel like having a little bit of security in our pocket.

Yeah.

- But we'll have to tell Mary where we went. - I was gonna say,

leave her a note, but there's no way to really do that.

SAI: Sticks.

We could put "idol search" in sticks.

- How many sticks you got? - Plenty.

Looks like an "M."

Moving forward with Cedrek is tricky,

because Cedrek saved my life,

but he also put my life on the line.

I'm enjoying this.

"Mary, on idol hunt."

It's almost like, "Why am I grateful that you got me

out of something that you put me into?"

And now I just have to proceed with caution.

Anything?

SAI: Me, neither. Not yet.

[chuckles]

Aw.

If anyone should be looking for an immunity idol,

it should be me.

But if I stick with them

and just see if we

can try to work together,

that is, perhaps, not a death sentence.

- Mary. - MARY: Yeah.

SAI: I left you a note at camp.

MARY: Aw. Thank you.

And so I think that

I really do want to work with Sai,

if only because I don't want to work against her.

It's too hard to work against her.

I'm actually really proud of us getting it together.

MARY: Me too.

- I'm not joking with you right now. - Miracles can happen.

I'm not. I know. No.

I can tell when you're looking at me

- with game eyes and with real-life eyes. - Yeah. Yeah.

MARY: I can always tell when she has her game eyes on.

Because it's just, like,

lasers boring into me.

But her real-life people eyes

are quite soft and trusting.

- It's not like Cedrek is your dad, but, like... - I know.

But in some ways, he was a father figure.

And in that moment, when he wrote down your name...

SAI: It was, like, weird.

I told him. I was like, "That really, really hurt."

That hurt. Yeah. Like, that was us going from game to real life.

And it surprised me that, like, you were there to comfort me,

- 'cause you didn't have to do that. - Yeah.

Like, I really felt really, really close to you after that.

Mary and I were realizing that, like,

if we just band together,

maybe we can do something here

instead of using all of our energy to butt heads.

We're fine in real life.

No matter how hard we play,

- I'm always gonna see you as a real person. - Okay. Thank you.

MARY: Both of us, truly,

we're like, "Screw it. What do we have to lose?"

I'm down to say now.

SAI: Mary and I were just chasing each other.

And now the tables have turned,

as they always do, minute by minute, in Survivor,

because, up until this point,

me and Mary--

we had been worried about what the boys are gonna do.

But now Cedrek has to worry about

what the girls are gonna do.

Civa and Lagi, getting your first look

at the once again new Vula tribe.

Justin voted out

at the last Tribal Council.

Vula now down to three.

Talk about a contrast

on day eight.

Two groups walk in, celebrating,

having the best party of their life,

and then Sai, Cedrek and Mary--

very different vibe.

Where are we, Cedrek?

Well, we've struggled a lot.

And after a long,

emotional Tribal Council last night,

uh, it was tough.

You know, let me just tell you, with each vote,

it gets harder and harder.

The connections you're building

are one day gonna be tested.

And we've faced that now three times in a row.

All right, so if you just did the headline

of this season, you could say the headline

is two tribes have dominated--

Civa and Lagi-- and one tribe has struggled-- Vula.

But that would just be the headline,

because if you read the whole article,

you're reminded that every day on Survivor

you're faced with so many situations.

And they all have one thing in common.

Thomas, what is it that you have to do on Survivor,

every moment of every day?

Every day, you have to wake up

and be ready to go.

You can't be complacent,

and you have to be ready for any curveball that comes your way.

Like a switch.

- Knew it. - PROBST: We are

switching tribes.

- [squeals] - [laughing]

EVA: I don't like change.

I don't deal with change well.

And this big change about to happen

is making me very on edge.

Joe is the only person that I told

about having autism and how to help me

and what to do.

- We got this. - Okay, guys.

We knew it.

EVA: And the thought of leaving Joe

and thinking about

not having him by my side--

it makes me scared.

PROBST: We are switching tribes.

[Sai squeals]

BIANCA: Aah! We knew it!

Okay. I love all of y'all, but...

Ha-ha!

Everybody drop 'em.

PROBST: Bianca, what does this switch mean to you,

given that Lagi's been on a big winning streak?

I'm emotional.

I love my tribe.

Like, we have had so much fun winning

and crushing the challenges,

but also so much fun bonding.

And no one wants to lose the numbers.

Um, uh, it's-it's the reality.

Sai, it's the opposite for the three of you.

You've been in turmoil.

Is this a little bit of, "Maybe

this is what we need to get some momentum"?

This is exactly what we need to get some momentum.

It gives breath to our game.

I'm hoping we can hit the middle

in whatever tribes we get split up into,

and they start eating each other alive

and we get to watch it for a second,

because we've been eating each other alive.

We got rained on last night.

We were in the dumps this morning.

And this literally just gave me the drive to kick butt

and just be here another day.

At Lagi,

I know where the idol is.

And I know it's not active.

I know that I have a secret advantage

that no one else has. I know

that Bianca has lost her vote.

I know where all the puzzle pieces are.

I know how to play that game.

Now you're taking all of that, throwing it into the ocean,

and saying, "Begin again."

I just did that eight days ago.

I don't want to do it again. That was really hard

and scary. And now...

[sighs] it's time to begin again.

PROBST: Thomas gets what's left.

THOMAS: Cheers.

A lot of switching just happened.

the new Civa is Chrissy and Mitch--

you stay together.

You're joined by Cedrek and Sai

and Bianca.

So, Bianca, what do you make of this new tribe?

Because now you are alone.

BIANCA: I think it could all be a very good thing.

I'm right in the middle.

They might both be fighting for me and my vote.

Uh, but you never know.

It could also mean a very bad thing.

All right, so the new Vula tribe

is Joe, Shauhin and Thomas from Lagi,

Kyle and Kamilla from Civa.

Kamilla, what do you make of this new group?

My initial reaction when I saw these guys, I'm like, "Wow."

Not only do we have, like, physical strength,

but I'm pretty sure we got some brains here, too.

So I'm very confident in this tribe.

And I'm happy with this draw.

All right. Let's go over to Lagi,

where we have David,

Eva, Charity,

Star and Mary.

David and Charity move together.

Star and Eva stay together.

And, Mary, you are now on a tribe

where you are the only person from your tribe.

And I'm okay with that.

It's opportunity for me.

I also would like to apologize on behalf of Vula

for the condition of the camp you guys will be going to.

[laughs]

This tribe switch

totally feels like a new life for me.

My new tribe is two Lagi

and two Civa and me.

I kind of feel like I hit the lotto,

because I was hitting the opposite of the lotto

on Vula. And I was like,

"It's time for my luck to change."

EVA: Yo, we have a hanging tree.

We got two hammocks.

We got a shelter with a tarp.

The first thing I noticed is that it's all girls

and one man.

This is a complete flip

from anything in my life.

I play on an all-men's hockey team.

I don't have friends who are girls.

Also,

Joe and I have been super close

since the beginning of this game.

And going at it alone is scary and new.

My name's David. I work as a stunt performer.

So...

CHARITY: We were like...

- EVA: Stunt double. - CHARITY: I knew it!

EVA: However, David and I hit it off

right off the bat.

No!

Like SX-R?

EVA: And we totally connected immediately on Jet Skis,

of all things-- something we're both super into.

Dude, I was stressed just because I was like,

"I'm gonna be away from Joe and Shauhin."

And, like, I was like, "Those are-those are my people."

And so I'm glad I found another person that I can be like,

-"Hey, you're gonna be one of my people." - Oh, yeah. I got you.

- I got you. - This is gonna be great.

So that's huge, but I was

not happy to see Star in my tribe,

who I do not have a good relationship with at all.

But it does give me something

to offer up the rest of the tribe as a way

to connect with them. So, the second

that Star walked away...

CHARITY: You're willing to put her name down if we lose?

- A hundred percent. 150%. - CHARITY: Just, and, look...

look, that would guarantee all of us staying safe.

We all had been planning so hard to get rid of her

- if it ever had to get to that thing. - Really?

EVA: All of us.

I told them everything-- that she

is who we want to get rid of

and she has a Beware Advantage.

We know she found it, because Joe saw her with it

and then she wouldn't show it to him.

And she's been trying to decode it. So it's, like, a scroll,

but she can't figure it out.

I'm telling you. I'm serving you this. Please, please take it.

Welcome to Civa, guys.

Wow.

[excited chatter]

For y'all that's got wet clothes,

we got a clothesline up there.

BIANCA: Wait, this looks amazing.

What type of fruit do you guys have on this island?

Okay. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

We have a huge surprise for you guys.

[Bianca gasps]

- Oh, my God! - What? Oh!

So, on my new tribe, I have Sai and Cedrek from Vula.

I love it here.

You and Mitch are my new favorite people.

CHRISSY: I have Bianca from Lagi.

- We're about to eat a feast. - CHRISSY: Yeah.

And then I have me and Mitch from Civa.

- Wait, what? - Cassava. - CHRISSY: Tastes like potatoes.

- It tastes very... - Cassava.

No, I'm literally gonna cry.

CHRISSY: It was a mixed emotion for me,

because I was not working with Mitch.

We were together seven days,

and not once did Mitch talk to me about gameplay.

But now we want to stay Civa strong.

We're not gonna get picked off by these other people.

We have to work together.

And, you know, we're gonna do what we have to do.

Pretty nice, Cedrek? This is...

Coming to this

new Civa beach,

I couldn't be more elated.

They have a nice shelter.

They have all this space.

Like, when they were showing me around, I wanted to ask them,

"So where's the spa?

"Where do you go when you want to work out?

Where's the tennis court?"

Let me see the rest of this resort.

CHRISSY: That's our cutting board.

- Are you joking? - MITCH: But...

CHRISSY: Oh, yeah. Yeah.

- BIANCA: Like... - Like, uh, actually has a kitchen.

They have not just food--

a selection of food.

And I was so excited to have fire.

Massive upgrade, camp-wise.

- CHRISSY: Just cover it with a little bit on top. - BIANCA: All right.

Yay.

MITCH: We can start cooking.

SAI: But coming off the heels of a Tribal Council

where Cedrek had blatantly lied to me

and I felt like I couldn't trust him,

I just wanted to get away from Cedrek.

And I think because I had that one little request

to get away from Cedrek,

I got stuck with Cedrek.

Hi, tribe.

I know. Look it. We're thriving already.

BIANCA: I'm just reminding myself,

"Keep your smile on.

Act confident."

When inside, I'm panicking.

None of my original tribe members

are on my new Civa tribe.

And to make things a million times worse,

this girl doesn't have a vote.

I lost my vote on the journey.

I'm not telling anyone because I don't want that exposed.

So strategy now

is that I work them all

very, very well and try

to figure out the crack.

So we should probably talk.

Oh.

Okay.

Sai tells me,

"Why don't you get a vibe check on Cedrek?"

Oh, my God. There's a crack.

CHRISSY: There we go.

BIANCA: I have to keep my options open right now.

MITCH: Come and get some.

BIANCA: Are you kidding me?

- It tastes like potato. - CHRISSY: I know.

BIANCA: So whatever makes more sense

for me to keep

my butt on these rocks,

that's what I'm gonna do.

JOE: This new Vula--

we stack up physically

and mentally, so we are

a force to be reckoned with.

Yeah.

JOE: But then I see the state of camp.

SHAUHIN: Oh, wow.

Oh, God.

- That has to be a joke. - SHAUHIN: Oh...

- KAMILLA: That's shelter. That's our home. - [laughing]

- That's our bed. - KYLE: Yeah. We got some work,

I guess.

Stop it.

SHAUHIN: Oh, man.

THOMAS: No.

This is really bad, y'all.

That's real talk.

All right, y'all, let's go-let's go see it.

JOE: Vula's been struggling. They don't have a tarp.

They don't have flint.

They don't have any food left over.

They have nothing. You know, it's as if

you got dressed up in the morning.

You were gonna go to a great house party.

I had my pants pegged,

my Bo Jackson cross-trainer, my pager.

I was ready to dance, and then you show up to the house

and, like, the DJ's out, Mom and Dad came home.

The house party's over. Womp womp.

It looks like they started a fire.

KAMILLA: Did they take the map with them?

THOMAS: There's no map.

We literally had to wander around trying to find

the water well and tree mail.

And there's no one here to actually help us.

We really pulled the short end of the stick.

They have no camp supplies.

They've never won anything.

It literally looks like it's been a deserted camp for weeks.

It's like

the Ghost of Christmas Past haunting us, being like,

"We lose here."

It's horrible. It's a scene from a nightmare.

Whatever. I'd rather take this team

- on this beach... - Yeah. - True.

- than the other team. To be honest. - KAMILLA: Yeah. Yeah.

THOMAS: I lost my number one in Bianca, coming to Vula,

but I'd rather be in this position,

with the California Girls--

me, Joe and Shauhin--

'cause it means we are in the majority

with two Civa stragglers.

Well, we're in it together now.

KYLE: Yeah. [laughs]

I have a secret Steal a Vote advantage.

Not a single person knows that I actually have

the Steal a Vote advantage-- not even Joe and Shauhin.

So this was best-case scenario for me.

Caveat.

This is best-case scenario in worst place beach.

What's up, Kamilla?

I'm originally from Toronto.

I now live in, like, San Mateo,

- which is, like, Northern California. - Yeah.

- Bay Area. Yeah. Yeah. - Yeah. - Sweet.

I'm gonna be 31 in, like, less than a month.

- Wow. - Whoa.

- What about you? - I'm 30.

Oh, my gosh.

KYLE: On this Vula camp, old Lagi,

they have us by the numbers three-two.

But the good news is,

I have the idol, not to mention

I got my number one undercover ally, Kamilla.

And Kamilla has an extra vote.

Big Survivor fan. My whole family loves Survivor.

- THOMAS: I love that. - [Kyle chuckles]

KAMILLA: Coming into this tribe, like,

Kyle was one of my closest allies in this game.

We're both Guyanese. Like, we have so much in common.

We love video games. We're both nerds.

But we're both definitely in survival mode right now,

because it's gonna be really hard for the two of us

to get alone time out here and talk.

You know, if they see both of us walk off,

they're gonna know it's strategy.

And, like, we don't want them to know that.

I didn't do great in, like,

the physical aspects of the challenges.

And, like, only one person

came up to me to talk strategy.

And that strategy was,

"If we lose immunity, you and me are on the bottom."

And I'm like, "That's great to hear."

Oh, fun.

JOE: Can I ask you who it was?

Can you guess?

I'm guessing it was Charity.

Yeah. I...

We haven't... we haven't talked strategy.

KYLE: Kamilla makes up the lie

that she's on the bottom of old Civa,

which is music to my ears,

because it gives me and Kamilla a chance to show that

we don't know as much about one another as we do.

So I think that we could work

and do some really good damage together,

especially under the radar.

I knew I'm going home first from Civa,

if it was just, like, the regular Civa.

JOE: Why did you...

KAMILLA: Yeah.

SHAUHIN: Kamilla and Kyle don't seem tight at all.

In fact,

Kamilla said, "I'm on the bottom there.

No one talks strategy with me."

And Kyle wasn't like, "No, you're not.

What do you mean? We talk stra--"

He was like, "Well, I wouldn't say

that's entirely the case."

Which is like, "Oh, okay.

"So she is absolutely on the bottom,

and you don't like each other at all."

Mitch said that it was a s-slide puzzle.

Did he get it?

He did not get it.

- That's what I wanted to talk to you guys about. - SHAUHIN: Oh.

KAMILLA: My game plan this entire time has been

making people look worse than me

and throwing people under the bus.

And so in typical Kamilla fashion,

I have some dirt on Thomas.

So I have someone I can throw under the bus if I need to.

I talked to Star.

She said Thomas walked away.

Oh.

KAMILLA: I know for sure Thomas lied to his tribe about his journey,

because I had spoken to Star

at an immunity challenge where we both sat out on.

Yes.

How about Thomas?

He walked away.

And she had mentioned that Thomas had the option

to walk away from

the game that he had to play at the journey,

but Mitch told us

there was no opportunity to walk away.

- So I know he's lying. - SHAUHIN: That sounds like

the same puzzle Thomas described.

But he got to see it and walk away?

- SHAUHIN: But he walked away. - Hmm.

The whole purpose of me spilling the Thomas tea with them

is to bring up suspicion within

the former Lagi so that they know

they're not as strong as they think.

Ain't that a trip.

Oh, my gosh. My brain is fried.

Kamilla tells us all kinds of things

that kind of mess up our trust

about the journeys.

She tells us that the journeys are not

"choose to play or not to play,"

they are "you have to play."

If that's the case, that means Thomas has been lying to me.

And that is brutal.

She was just kind of coming for you

about the whole journey thing,

saying that you had to play.

- That Mitch said... - It was a little, you know...

Oh, she was just trying to, like, say that I'm lying?

- Yeah. - Girl, you weren't there,

- and it sounds like your boy Mitch is lying to you. - Totally. Yeah.

I get it, girl. You were just trying to, like, stir stuff up.

Yes, I'm lying to my people,

but that's none of your business.

It makes me want to get her out ASAP.

I don't want to play this game with her.

I do not trust her at all.

SAI: It's so different.

BIANCA: Ours feels a lot more, like, beachy.

When I saw you, I was like, "I want to work with this guy."

Dude...

...who will gladly...

At this point,

Chrissy and I are

working together,

but, immediately,

I feel like I have

a connection with Cedrek.

So, when-when we're talking,

I mean, I-I literally grew up...

I stuttered from the time I was, like, four.

Really?

If you stutter,

you-you always potentially will stutter.

Oh, yeah.

Even now, like, there are triggers

- that I know, like, I'll have to, like... - Yeah. Like... I need the same.

But I have to, like, always, like,

go back to my, like, therapy sessions, like...

- Yes. Slow. - Say it slowly.

- Yeah. Slowly... - Did you have to play the little games?

- Yes. So many times. - And read the card?

Yeah, I'd be like,

"All right, we're gonna practice the 'M' sound."

'Cause I, like, really struggle, like, with any, like,

-"mm" or "puh" or... - Okay. Is...

is that one of your triggers?

- Mm-hmm. Yeah. - Okay.

So it's like, "Well, great. That's my name."

- [laughs] - You know? I'm, like, I can't get away from it.

He shares with me that,

growing up, he used to stutter as well.

And it's, like,

man, like, here's someone who knows

what it-it feels like to walk

in my shoes.

And, yes, Survivor

is a game for a million dollars,

but it is, like, so much more than that.

Like, I really hope

our connection as people

who s-stutters, like,

bonds us.

Growing up, I, like, never saw someone

who spoke like me, who was ever, like,

- portrayed in a positive way. - Right. Yeah.

When I see Mitch,

I see me.

And I see all the folks that he's representing

that would never dare to do this.

So I see someone that is brave.

I see someone that is open to working together.

And when I find commonalities,

it creates a platform to establish the relationship.

- Our community-- this is-this is... - Yeah. I know.

- This is key. - So big...

CEDREK: I definitely want to work with Mitch.

And I think if Sai and I play our cards right,

we can take advantage of this swap

to help our game. Because

what Sai and I have is loyalty.

- I almost went home. - What?

Last night. Yeah.

BIANCA: Wait, so was Cedrek working

with Justin...

Yeah, the boys. The boys were real tight.

- Oh... - Yeah.

Bianca's feeling me out,

and rightfully so,

but I'm feeling her out as well.

I like working with strong women,

competitive women, which,

I can tell she's here to compete.

I want you to make your own assumption.

- Yeah. - I'm just telling you my experiences.

SAI: I, truthfully, want to work with Bianca,

because she's a lone soldier and

Cedrek's already looking for his own game plan,

I can tell.

But I have my own game

because of the distrust he's created between us.

We're saying that we want to work together.

- Yeah. Absolutely. - Um, the four of us, and then...

- You know? - CEDREK: Yeah.

The only thing we have to worry about

is that Bianca went on...

- MITCH: The j-journey. The journey. - ...the journey.

Did Justin tell you what that journey was?

- He lost his vote. - CHRISSY: Okay.

So she either, A, has an extra vote

or, B, doesn't have a vote.

Okay, so even if she...

- Either way, it's not gonna hurt us. - Right.

CHRISSY: Bianca's a nice girl,

but even though

she's one person from one tribe,

it's the tribe she's from

that concerns me.

She's from the Lagi tribe,

and they're a very, very strong tribe.

And there's no doubt in my mind, that when we get back to merge,

that they are gonna get back together

and they're gonna pick people off, left and right, voting.

That Purple-- we got to break them up.

CHRISSY: Yes, they're strong.

CHRISSY: So getting rid

Even though I don't have any other guys on my tribe

and I'm surrounded by women, like,

I grew up surrounded by women.

I felt right at home.

And these are people

I've been wanting to meet since the start of the game.

I just felt

sincerity from them all, I do feel kindness.

Like, I feel, like, an honest game coming from them,

which is how I've been playing from day one.

CHARITY: Yeah.

Really? I thought I was the only one.

And on top of that,

like, I'm just excited to work with them.

- David, do you have a girlfriend? - Yes.

I have a girlfriend, but she broke up with me

because, uh, money issues.

And honestly, like, that's kind of

the only reason why I'm here. I don't see a million dollars.

I see, like, a roof over our head.

Like, the first thing I'm doing is, like, asking her

for her ring size. She's perfect, so...

MARY: David literally is so selfless.

He's just

a really kind soul, he's a gentleman.

and, like, someone who I can just tell what to do

He's just not very strategic.

So, David needs someone like me

and I need someone like David, 'cause he's a great shield.

Nobody is worried about little old Charity

who's, like, mediocre at everything.

They're worried about 68-inch muscles

and gonna win immunity challenges.

Charity is just playing hard, day one.

She's been all over the place.

Like, everybody on my tribe does not trust her.

I don't think she knows it, but Charity,

I haven't trusted since day one.

She's playing this game way too hard.

And I still don't trust her out here.

to your first immunity challenge as new tribes?

Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

For today's challenge, you're gonna race to remove

very heavy sandbags to free up a large cube.

You'll then roll that cube

underneath a structure and use it

to retrieve two small sandbags.

You'll then attempt to toss those sandbags through a frame

and land them on a barrel.

If you knock the frame over, you got to start again.

Finally, you'll dig up one puzzle piece, then race

to solve a temple puzzle.

First two tribes to finish

win immunity,

you won't be voted out of this game,

you will see day ten of Survivor 48.

In addition, you're playing for reward.

unless you can get very creative.

And now we're in the situation where there's three old Lagi

and two old Civa, and we don't have the numbers.

However, Kamilla and I do have some tools in this game,

is a part of being on Survivor.

I'm sorry with the second tier of that puzzle, guys.

SHAUHIN: Today, we definitely made the wrong call.

We put Kamilla on the mat.

She should have been involved.

And, ultimately, that ended up costing us.

On the one hand, I feel terrible about that.

We have to do that uncomfortable thing

that we always see, which is, like,

let's go talk.

Yeah. How do we want to do that?

SHAUHIN: On the other hand-- I don't know--

I feel pretty good with my alliance.

Like, it's three on two.

I don't think they have anything that's, like,

gonna stymie us, so,

bingo-bango, one of them goes home.

SHAUHIN: Yeah. I mean, I'm down.

all I'm trying to do is put on my acting face,

make Lagi feel like I'm 100% with them, because

me and Kyle can't give any indication

that we're working together.

so that I know

going into Tribal tonight we can trust you

and that we can trust you going forward?

KYLE: Kamilla and I have manufactured this situation

where we are not tight at all, but that is

the biggest lie on this island.

In fact, she might be my number one in this game.

I mean, my read on Kamilla is this.

- Like, she wants to play this game hard. - Hard.

KYLE: The whole point of our game

has tried to be to stay under the radar.

- As far as information goes? - Yeah.

I mean, Kamilla...

blurted out pretty much

everything yesterday. I don't have anything concrete.

- Yeah. - Let me just tell you the truth.

Yeah.

- Yeah. - Which, unless y'all are super good actors,

- which is, like, respect, I kind of see that. - No.

SHAUHIN: Information is currency in this game.

- Yeah. - And, for us, like, you've given us

- currency in this game. - Yeah. No.

- Kyle stonewalled us. - Yeah.

The only thing I can say to you is that Kamilla is trying

to paint a big-ass target on your back with this journey.

Like, I don't see how I could play the game with her.

I see how I could play the game with you.

- This game is not about challenges. - Mm-hmm.

That's how I feel.

- We don't need another muscle. - Yeah.

I want more puzzle people the merrier.

To me, it does me no good to have a bunch of jocks

it was immediate kind of scramble.

I think the newer generation believes in this discussion.

"Before I stab you in the back,

can we share a beer?" type of thing.

But myself, Thomas and Shauhin--

we're just trying to figure out

do we vote Kyle off, Kamilla off,

pros and cons to both.

So, where are you at?

I don't have the greatest relationship with Kamilla.

So, am I willing to throw Kamilla's name tonight?

Absolutely.

JOE: I'm truly conflicted on what to do.

So, I have to sit down

with my alliance and make a decision.

And one, two, three, go,

and then the name you want.

- Are we ready? - One, two, three.

Interesting. Okay.

- You want to vote Kyle out? - I want to vote Kyle out.

- I want to vote Kamilla out, not Kyle. - Yeah.

But that's just because she's putting my name around.

My gut is telling me to send Kamilla off to sea.

She's throwing all of this shade on my journey

and kicking that up when I had it put to bed perfectly.

Here's the deal with Kamilla.

- She is... - At the bottom of her tribe?

At the bottom of her tribe.

So I think there's a world

where we could actually pull her in as a number.

The problem with Kamilla is she's

playing the game hard.

THOMAS: The best thing possible is for the California Girls

to vote out Kamilla or Kyle.

Old-school, easy breezy.

She just sketches me out so much more than Kyle.

But I don't know what's gonna happen with idols, advantages,

all those things, so, if I want to be safe,

and I think that Kamilla and Kyle

are gonna try and stick together and put two votes on me,

do I bring my Steal a Vote into it to save my own butt?

The downside to doing that is

I haven't told my alliance members about my advantage.

If I'm gonna do it, it's gonna be

if I feel something freaky-deaky is going on at Tribal

and I have to whip it out

and save myself.

Yeah.

- It seems like they're trying to cut me, not you. - Yeah. Yeah.

So here's the thing.

Okay.

KYLE: When you think about the advantages in this game,

let's take stock.

Thomas has gone on a journey. So, in my mind,

he's either got a "no vote" or some sort of advantage.

Then you have Kamilla's extra vote.

And then you have my idol.

- Who do you want to get out? - I think we got to take Thomas out.

KAMILLA: Are you sure you want to do Thomas?

[scoffs]

KYLE: We planned to put the votes on one of the three boys.

And I think Shauhin is probably

the sneakiest player on this island.

But Thomas went on a journey

and I do not know if he has an advantage, so,

would I like Shauhin to be the one going home tonight?

Absolutely.

Is Thomas almost as sneaky as Shauhin? Definitely.

Yeah.

KYLE: On the surface, looking at this tribe,

we definitely look like the underdogs.

But we got a bag of tricks, Kamilla and I.

And I think that we've worked well together.

This is the only way that we come out on top today.

You play your idol.

But we just need to think about how to get it done.

KAMILLA: Our plan hinges on this being, like, a clean vote,

and I need to make those three feel

extremely comfortable,

and I feel like I've done an okay job of that.

SHAUHIN: How are you feeling?

Yeah. Are you spiraling?

- Feeling better. - Yeah? Good.

- You really, really should be. - Yeah.

A rite of passage.

I won't tell him. [laughs]

THOMAS: Are you gonna look through all the pockets?

What about those socky boots?

KAMILLA: Shauhin decides to go through Kyle's bag,

and I'm freaking out at this point.

I have to pretend that I'm with these guys.

But I don't want them to find

Kyle's idol, 'cause then,

if they find that idol...

...our plan is screwed.

SHAUHIN: I found nothing.

I didn't do, like, a full cavity search

of his bag, to be honest,

so it's possible he still has, like, a note

or something in there, but I don't think he has a...

like, uh, an actual idol.

I'm gonna go change.

KYLE: The fact that they were willing

to go through my bag in front of Kamilla

makes me think that they want to put the votes on me.

So, I am playing my idol for myself tonight.

Whatever. I think we're good.

Kamilla and I are fighting a different battle right now,

and we have one winning move.

They can foil it.

But I think we have a strong chance at it.

KAMILLA: This is everyone's first Tribal Council,

and once again, I have to put on my acting face,

so it's gonna be rough.

I think the three former Lagi

feel extremely confident.

I don't think they're gonna expect

what's coming tonight.

PROBST: Behind each of you

is a torch. Go ahead and grab a torch,

dip it in and get fire.

This is part of the ritual at Tribal Council because

in this game, fire represents your life,

and when you're fire's gone, so are you.

Shauhin, you're already shaking your head a little bit.

Is that just the impact of that reminder

that the stakes are so big?

Yeah. I mean, fire is your life in this game.

None of us want to see our torch go out.

I mean, obviously, like, Tribal Council's part of

Survivor history. You want to see a Tribal Council.

That's what we dream of, and at the same time, now,

it seems a little bit more like a nightmare.

PROBST: So, Shauhin, on the surface,

there are three former Lagi--

you, Thomas, Joe--

and there are two former Civa-- Kyle and Kamilla.

Was there a discussion of, "Look, we're three tight"

or was it open?

Sometimes what's on the surface

is what is right there.

There was a discussion.

They're certainly doing their best

to try and find cracks, but

the three of us are pretty tight,

and I think we're gonna take advantage

of that opportunity if we can here.

PROBST: Kamilla, when you were talking

with everybody about Tribal,

was there any part of you making a case,

saying, "Look, maybe I offer you all something"?

KAMILLA: Yeah, that's all I could do,

because, I mean, if we look at the challenge today,

my performance was not the best.

I stepped in and I said, "I can, like,

call the puzzle for you guys,"

and that's where we failed, right?

So, I tried my best, you know.

I could not find a single crack

within these three, so my only other option

was to be, like, "Kyle," 'cause I'm not-I'm not

asking them to vote me out.

Meaning, you're going to the three and saying,

"Look, I don't want to go home, so

if you're telling me vote Kyle, I'll vote Kyle."

- Yeah, exactly. - Kyle, is that surprising?

Part of it is surprising. Kamilla and I--

we've had, like, a roller coaster

of a couple days out here, you know?

I consider Kamilla a friend.

We're both Guyanese. I don't...

A lot of people don't know what that is.

So it's... It was really interesting

to find somebody who had this niche connection to me,

and I think we bonded over that.

But at the end of the day, is it surprising

that she would fight for her life in this game?

Um, no, I'm not gonna hold that against her,

but I'm gonna do the same.

So Joe, was there any talk amongst the three of you

about how to handle this?

JOE: Yeah, Jeff, the three of us did

have to have a conversation.

You know, it's easy, from the couch,

to say, "This is what I would do right now."

It is more challenging than anyone could imagine

unless you're sitting here right now,

so we had to talk about it.

PROBST: So, Kyle, I'm gonna

go with what you're all telling me.

And if it's you tonight, nine days in--

that's a long time on Survivor,

but it's far short of 26.

Yeah, I'd be lying to you if I didn't say

that I thought I would go all the way.

To fall short would be hard, but

if I could think of one word to describe

my experience here is, I think it's been being vulnerable.

Like, in the real world,

I'm an irrationally confident person

or at least I try to make people think that I'm confident.

I walk in every room with my head up and a smile on,

because I don't like people to see me sweat.

[laughs] Then... then I came into this game

with that confidence,

and this game hit me right back in the mouth.

But being here, seeing how hard this is--

it's made me open up about things that I never would.

It's made me think about how I'm going

to treat and care for the people that I love.

I'm gonna change my outlook on...

on life a little bit, I think.

PROBST: Kamilla, same question.

If this is it,

nine days-- it's a long time of Survivor.

It's not final three.

KAMILLA: I think, like, coming into this,

I was very much, like, so hyper-focused

on, like, people underestimating me.

And I think I realized throughout all the challenges,

the person who underestimates me the most is actually myself.

[cries, sniffles]

After each challenge, I'm always like,

"Oh, my God, I did ... at this challenge."

And I'm like, "I never hear that." Isn't that crazy?

Like, I... I just, like, completely underestimate myself

the most, like, more than anyone.

And it's crazy to realize that.

I guess make connections with these people

and, like, feel like I'm really friends.

to play, I came here to have fun while playing, and, like,

my vote tonight is saying, like, "I want to play the game,

"and I want to play the game with people

Kamilla and Kyle give speeches

about what nine days have done to them.

How difficult is it tonight to write a name down?

I mean, nobody comes out here that's not a fan.

No one goes through what we go through

over the last nine days

that doesn't... want it.

And they don't get to want it anymore.

PROBST: Thomas, that phrase--

"fire represents your life,"

the snuffing of a torch-- those are the stakes

that make Survivor worth playing.

That "one mistake and you're out."

But you're also crushing somebody's dream.

You really are, and it's a common denominator,

'cause we all have the same dream.

And we have to be the people that makes that happen.

It's hard, but

we're all getting so much out of this game.

Like, I've gotten so much out of these nine days.

Friendships, insights on myself.

Like, I am overcoming fears and things

that have, like, haunted me

that almost stopped me from applying,

and I'm so glad I'm here.

So, like, this is a game that's giving so much to us.

And I know that we're about to take away something

from one of these two, but that's what I hold on to.

That if it was my torch, I've been given a gift,

and I know that these guys have, too.

PROBST: All right.
