wolf-like-looking thing

we encountered
the strangest thing yet.

down a remote road

this strange-looking figure.

And we've heard skinwalkers
sometimes present themselves
as hitchhikers.

But moments later,

when we got back
to the spot we'd seen it,

different types of phenomenon
that's occurring.

And one of those is the
unidentified aerial phenomenon

in the area.

And we've been able to,
what we believe,

is calling them in

by using certain type
of technology.

So you're telling me
that you have, uh,

kind of like a secret recipe

to bringing in phenomena that
you can't explain in the sky?

I would hope that
that's what it ends up being.

Last year, we ended up
seeing an event occurring

in the sky by the mesa,

which is just
north of where we're at.

And all this UAP activity
was starting to occur.

What we ended up doing was

we were using
certain type of technology.

Uh, we used
a high-powered laser.

And we also used
a signal generator

at specific frequency.

Which the UAP seemed
to be more attracted to.

-And we were also monitoring

incoming frequencies.

And it appeared that,
when they were in the area,

those frequencies
were much stronger.

So we're transmitting

and then
we're suddenly receiving...

And those frequencies,

of two things.

who or what is creating

his theories?

In the end, I actually
kind of like his theory

of trying to
communicate with aliens,

to show our intelligence

by using the same frequency,

but just in different
bandwidths, essentially.

So, one is RF
and one is audio,

both at 1,600 Hz,

to tell these aliens that,

"Hey, this is
the same number."

And math
is relatively universal,

and maybe they will say,

"Oh, this person's trying
to talk to us right now.

Let's talk back."

some sort of
an intelligent signal

so that they're like...

across the 7,000 square-mile
Uinta Basin to the mesa

where James recorded
a strange UAP interaction.

Mesas, which are common
in the area,

are flat-topped
elevated land masses

with steep sides
that have been shaped

over thousands of years
through erosion.

The high elevation
atop this mesa

should serve as
an excellent site

for us to
conduct our experiment

and closely monitor the skies.

to monitor any activity

As far back as the 1980s,

organizations like NASA
and the SETI Institute

have pioneered research
aimed at detecting patterns
in radio waves

that may indicate
they are intentional signals

from intelligent beings.

Based on
this previous research

and recent attempts
by James Keenan,

we're attempting
our own experiment.

First, we're sending
a specific wavelength

of laser light into the sky

while playing a tone
from our speakers

with a matching frequency.

Our hope is that any
intelligent beings out there

can interpret these
corresponding numbers

and respond back
in a different spectrum

in the form of radio waves.

[Jessica] So,
what are we utilizing here

with his, uh, theory?

So, the laser that we have
is 532 nanometers...

-Mmm-hmm.
-...so I'm wondering
if we play 532 Hz.

So even if
they can't quite recognize
that we're intelligent,

maybe they'll say, "Hey,
they like this 532 number.

Let's, uh, send it back."

And if they send it back...

-Uh-huh?
-...we have this.

This is a RF receiver.

-Mmm-hmm.
-And it will ping us

and show us
different little peaks here.

And there's a certain code
that tells you
a certain number.

And so 532 is C8.

An RF receiver measures
radio frequencies,

a form of radiation emitted
by many electronic devices,

everything from cell phones
to satellites.

Our hope is that any UAPs
out there

will have the same technology

to send frequencies
in the spectrum

which we can then measure
on this device.

So the goal then is
to send out the 532 number,

both audibly
and through wavelength...

-Correct.
-...and then, hopefully,

if there's something
out there, it will get that.

And in order to say,
"We see you,"

they send back a 532 signal
onto the receiver.

Yeah. Do you know how
I came up with this idea?

Um, I've been watching
a lot of Star Trekrecently.

And they use
something like this

to communicate with
a hyper-intelligent species.

And it's borrowing a little
bit of James' logic here

of just sending out something
that is uniform into the air.

looks very complicated,

questioning what else
is out there.

a diamond rhombus-like shape.

"Suddenly it disappeared."

And it is signed
"a true story."

I know how witness testimonies
can change over time,

and I wanted to remember

exactly what happened
that night.

So I went home,
wrote it all down

and, I mean, like I said,

it is a true story.

And do you think it was
a true UFO?

I saw, by definition,
an unidentified flying object.

I don't know what it was.

responding to us.

I have to try to be skeptical
of a single datapoint

and say maybe
it happens to be

that something
in all of our electronics

or the RV

happens to give off 532 Hz.

particular frequency...

out of how many frequencies
are there?

Out of thousands
of potential frequencies
this could receive.

Out of all
these potential frequencies

that we could have used...

that the one that we're
actually getting a response on

is maybe because

hours of sending out signals,

we didn't have any sightings
of UAPs

to accompany the RF activity.

It's uncertain if
the frequency we received

was actually a message
or just a strange coincidence.

But if we are going
to prove the existence
of extraterrestrials,

we'll need something
more concrete.

So I reached out
to one of Josh's contacts

named Ryan Burns.

Ryan claims that the skies
above his ranch

have been inundated
with unexplained objects,

and the air itself
seems electrically charged.

-Ryan? Jessica.
-Yeah. Hi.

-Good to meet you, Jessica.
-And I'm Phil.

[Jessica] So I've gotta admit,
I've heard a lot about you

and this ranch.

So, but you get constant hits

and things showing up
in the sky, huh?

It's pretty common.

Um, there's a lot seen by
people here for generations.

And especially in this area
in particular,

there's a lot of activity,

both on the ground
and in the sky.

There was a black budget
military program

investigating a lot of
the UAPs

and the things
that people were seeing.

They were out here
testing a lot of
high-level technologies,

high-energy technologies,

non-lethal weaponry.

But what they ran into

is this bidirectional mimicry,
is what they called it.

And that is the phenomenon
would basically mimic
whatever they were doing

and sometimes
to the tenth degree,

even giving them
more of a spectacle
than they were causing.

It really confused
everybody involved.

[Josh] According to reports
in 2019,

a group of air force personnel

are conducting
a training exercise

in the Uinta Basin

when they observe
an unidentified object

flying nearby.

Upon inspection,

the object begins
to impossibly mimic

the movements of their planes,

simultaneously following
and evading the military group
with ease,

something impossible
for any known aircraft.

This alleged UFO phenomenon

of so-called
bidirectional mimicry...

-Oh, my God!

...could be related to what my
team experienced last night...

[Phil] Exactly 532 Hz.

...with the echoing of
their frequencies.

So the government
was doing top-secret tests

of brand-new,
modern military equipment

that we probably, if we saw,
wouldn't understand.

But then
they started seeing things

that they didn't understand
in the sky. Is that right?

Exactly. Yeah.

So I guess one of the main
reasons that we came out here

is because we've heard
that there's a lot
of recent incidences

that have been happening.

Can you walk us through
some of them?

We used to have
an RV back there.

It got vaporized by
a daytime lightning bolt.

It was just vaporized,

which was strange
because they're insulated

and usually not hit
by lightning.

Well, I put a container
in the same spot

to see if the lightning
is really what it was.

People had wild theories of
direct energy weapons

and other things,

so I put a big steel box
back there

to see if it ever got
hit by lightning.

It hasn't yet.

And the thing that did happen,
though, is the box popped up,

or was airlifted,

and it moved from east to west
to north to south

and about 30 feet
out of the way.

Wait. Sorry.
Walk us through that again.

-[laughs] It's crazy. Yeah.

did it slide?

No. There was not even a blade
of grass, no tire tracks,

no dirt moved at all.

It's almost as if
something just picked it up

moved it and placed it
in another location.

One strange thing about it
is it was magnetized.

The entire container, you
could take metal of any sort

and it would just stick
to the container.

Something I wanna show you
is there does seem

to be magnetism there,

enough to hold
an old tent post.

-And those levels have since
been coming down.

There's just trace levels now.

But it was
completely magnetized.

And we'll have like rolling--
I wouldn't call 'em blackouts,

but electromagnetic pulses

where the power will
just go out.

Batteries will be drained.

And even your phone
in your pocket,

even if it's fully charged,
it'll go to zero.

And it's just hard to explain.

What about UAPs?

We see a lot of them
up over these trees here,

Uh, there's a waterway
that goes through there.

We see a lot of them
over the ridge.

They're usually silent.

lights on 'em.

Sometimes they don't.

And you just never know
what you're gonna end up with.

and the way it was like...

that was standing there
and watching him

And they just show up
and watched him

yes, it is a bit of a fluke

that the entire thing

Yeah, and it's pulsing.

Just outside of Cedar City
is the site of Utah's first

and most infamous
UFO encounter.

On a cold night in
February, 1959,

soldier Gerry Irwin
was driving to his army base

when he saw a blazing object
flying toward the ground.

Thinking it might be
a stricken plane,

the young man
ran on foot to find it.

An hour later, police found
Irwin unconscious in the snow.

He was taken to the hospital,

and when he finally came to,

he didn't remember anything

beyond setting out
after the plane.

But police told him
there was no evidence
of a plane crash.

Irwin later reported to duty

only to have a series
of fainting spells.

After each, he woke up
shocked to learn

that it was not still
the night of his sighting.

To this day, Irwin can't
recall what happened

in those lost hours,

a moment he both
can't remember

and, disturbingly,
will also never forget.

for tracking and identifying
aerial phenomenon.

be able to narrow our search

by identifying
what's moving in the skies.

And we're on.

We can basically leave it
here all night

and as long as
the equipment doesn't freeze,

we should be able to capture
anything that flies over us.

It's a UAP, UFO.

Of all the places we've been,

I am a believer in
the Uinta Basin.

a special sky up there, too.

The Uinta Basin is said to be
the home of high-strangeness,

an alleged
nexus of skinwalkers,

UFOs and ancient energies.

My team searched for the truth
behind these tall tales.

We analyzed the call
Phil and Jess heard

on their first night searching
for skinwalkers.

[Phil] Anybody else hear that?

[Josh] And it seems to
match up with a coyote howl.

-I got something.
-Oh, my God! What is that?

After studying the footage

from the accompanying
thermal drone,

the signature detected
appears to be a creature

moving on all fours.

[Phil] These are huge tracks!

[Josh] Also perhaps
a very large coyote.

[Jessica] That was terrifying.

[Josh] But the potential
hitchhiker Phil and Jess saw

was much more troubling.

After my teams disturbing
roadside sighting...

I just saw his leg!

...we analyzed the video
in greater detail

and can see what looks like

an unusual bend
in the figure's legs.

After an exhaustive search
of the area,

no heat signatures
or footprints were identified.

I don't know how this guy
did it, disappeared.

[Josh] And with no homes
or structures
in walking distance,

it certainly
begs the question,

"Where did it go?"

According to Larry Cesspooch,

the tribal expert
we worked with...

But if they want you
to see 'em,

they let you see 'em.

And they're gone again.

[Josh]
This sudden disappearance

certainly matches
reported skinwalker behavior.

But all this supposed
skinwalker activity

wasn't the only reason
we came to Uinta.

At Ryan's ranch,
analyzing the remains
of the incinerated RV...

Perfect. I think
that might be metal.

...we discovered a mixture of
of carbon and iron oxide.

Basically, soot and rust

typically found after
a lightning strike.

But what we witnessed
in the skies

was not so easily explained.

Ooh, [bleep]!
Do you see that blue light?

[Josh] The lights caught on
our UFO DAP cam

did not match with any planes
or satellites in the area.

EMF readers, which
were running concurrently...

[Phil] It's lighting up.

...also recorded sudden spikes
of electromagnetic radiation

at the exact moment
the lights appeared,

evidence that whatever
we captured up there

likely has a very high
energy output.

We submitted these findings

to the
National UFO Reporting Center

in hopes it will aid
in unraveling
this global mystery.

So, with remarkable
evidence in the sky...

...and a truly strange
sighting on the ground,

the only thing we can say
with confidence...
