The train passes thru the darkness towards the sea of light

The boundless universe is full of dreams

Lets walk across the suspension bridge

Anyone will search for his lucks like a traveler

Move forwards until encountering the star of hope

Someday you'll meet the blue bird

''The Red Wind of Mars''

Hey, what is the next stop?

Maeter

Why not take a rest?

I want to.. but I'm too excited So..

What is the next stop?

We'll get to Mars in 6 hours

Mars

Do we have time for stopover?

The stop time will be one day

One day..

But because of the difference of revolution speed

Some planets have 1 0 hrs a day and some even 50 hrs a day

Sunrise and sunset that counts for one day

But during this period you can hang around on the planet

I really expect to go there

What if we get lose and fail to catch the train?

You'll be dead

Dead?

Can you live by yourself?.

Tetruso..

Later, you can't see the earth

Take more looks

Forget it.. it's not necessary

There's only sorrow and bad memory

We can get to the first stop, Mars in one minute

The stay will last 1 day 24.37226 hours

Galaxy Express 999 is finally landing now

Sir, forget about it

Thank you

If I miss and die you don't have to build a tomb for me

I don't need a tomb stone

I'll be satisfied enough to be blown by red wind

That win

It took 1 00 years to adjust the air pressure to the earth's

Yes

Now, it's not inconvenient for people to live on Mars

And most of the residents have a mechanical body

So they don't really need an earth-like environment

Maybe.. Human just likes to waste time

Finally

This is Taciroaches

What is it like?

It's just a small village where there are red winds

Really?

You are gonna get off now?

It's not easy to come here

But you have to come back for the train sets off

Or..

Or I will die here

Take these

Golden coins

Tetruso, you can have a big feast Definitely

Right?

Don't worry

Eh?

This is the allowance given to the passengers

Thank you

Tetruso, do you have a gun?

Here

It doesn't matter if you lose money but it matters if you lose the ticket

Okay

Taciroaches.. where is there one here?

It's just like a city of spirits

Didn't Maeter say this is a good place to live

Has Jaronemo decided to go there?

Of course I mean after he got the ticket

I think he will

Is that okay?

I believe he'll be back to pick me up

The land is so barren

I think barley is the only thing able to grow here

Residing here is ok but surviving here is not easy

Young man

Do you wanna drink something?

Finally I meet someone

Sir.. Please give me Mars Soda

Okay.. it's safer here

You are from the earth?

Yes.. I just arrived

You don't wanna live here

I' m going to the planet that provides free bodies

You are going there too

Come here. Sorry for making you wait

These are for you

Golden coins

I still have so many

Young man, take a look at this

I can only afford a right leg

So you don't feel uncomfortable?

Perhaps

I don't have time and money to renew my whole body

Sir, you can go to the planet offering free bodies

It's too late for me

Maybe you will give up halfway to the destination

Eh?

If you can give me one more coin

I can ask my granddaughter to take you to visit Taciroaches

No.. I only have one day

Haha..

It only takes 2 or 3 hours to complete the visit

That's good

Sir.. Let alone just one coin I can give you all

You can buy robotic bodies

What are you saying?

This is given by the Express

I don't mind since I didn't make it myself

Take it

No, you need to treasure money young man

Don't waste it No one will appreciate that

Someday you might need it

You have to keep it

Ok

Freemay, Freemay

Where is she? She' s so naughty

Freemay, Freemay

Where is she? The guest is waiting for you

Please get in the car

Thanks

This is such a barren city

Rich people are moving to other planets

What is that?

Tombs

Tombs

Tombs

Tombs of the immigrants who couldn't get used to the nature

They spent 1 00 years to improve the environment..

But Mars is too close to the earth so it's not that attractive

Even if it is close people still choose farther planets

So fewer and fewer people and coming here

It' s so barren everywhere

If there's any opportunity everyone wanna leave here

You wanna leave here?

Don't you carry your ticket?

You mean the ticket of the express?

Yes.. give it to me if you have it

No way

You don't have to use your guns You are not faster than me

Don't move

You..

Tetruso.. you can't lose your ticket

Hand it in

No way

Quick

Don't blame me the stronger survives

Right.. that' s this

Freemay.. thank you

Finally I can leave this nasty red planet

Jaronemo

Freemay

You have to wait for me I'll come back to pick you up

Liar.. when you go to a new world You'll forget about me completely

Stop talking nonsense

I'll be back

As long as I go to other planets I'll strive hard..

You have to see me off when I take Galaxy Express 999

Wait.. Jaronemo

Don't be stupid

No.. if you love me

You'll leave after I get the ticket too

Why are you so immature?

Both of us can't leave here

That' okay I don't wanna leave you

Freemay

Freemay

Jaronemo.. that's better

I'll be here waiting for you

In this solitary planet

Freemay, Freemay

I'm no ghost

Thanks to it

That mister is right It's better to keep the money

You still wanna..

Give me back the ticket

No way.. for Freemay I have to go to the comfortable planet

Drop the money

Do it now

That's blood It's the red human blood

Jaronemo.. why don't you pull your gun?

Hey..

Here is your ticket

Because I see you bleed

Bleed

So I found your body is not mechanical

and there's blood flowing in your body

Jaronemo

I was like this before

Before I wandered to this place

I was like this I had a real heart

Under the chest

There were hopes

I really envy your flowing blood

Jaronemo

Go now

We don't have time now Take this back

Treasure your body now

It will be too late when your body becomes mechanical

Jaronemo, Jaronemo.. Cheer up

Mechanical body.. So is hers

They can live long

Why don't you feel satisfied?

Why do they still have to wander around?

Jaronemo.. release your hands

Freemay

Galaxy Exp 999 is leaving now Passengers to Mars

Please get on the car

Tetruso

Tetruso

Finally I made it

Quick

I thought you couldn't make it

How is your trip in Taciroaches?

This mechanical leg I just bought is still strong

I'll keep my fingers crossed

Someday I'll rest here forever underneath the red sand

It's not too far now

Young man.. Is it really better to be immortal?

No one knows

I still think to die naturally is better

It's very pathetic to live a terrible life

Mechanical people had a pathetic life before

But I'll live long and live a colorful life

The sound of the blowing red winds

is the sobbing of those laying under the red sands

The red winds of Mars

are sobbing for those who can't carry out their dreams
