Sugar-coated haws.

(The South Street)

- Sugar-coated haws. - Careful.

(Talent)

Get out of the way. Don't look.

Stop looking. Out of the way.

How could you even laugh?

Make way.

Stop looking.

Haven't seen a black eye before?

How about I give you one?

Gao Luoyi,

why are you crying?

Leave me alone.

Why can't you hold your horses?

Look at me.

I'm used to that.

To get the Princess,

you've really taken great pains.

Sadly, you can never defeat Shiyu!

No wonder Shiyu doesn't like you.

Don't be so harsh.

What really matters?

Persistence. See?

You must not give up.

Whether he likes me has nothing to do with you!

You're annoying.

Let's stick to our plan.

- I will. - Your Grace.

How dare you punch me?

Oh, this man has a black eye.

Who are you talking about?

Who has a black eye?

Who do you mean?

So what?

You can't mock His Highness.

I gave you the most money.

Xu...

You gave me the money, so what?

(Talent)

Continue?

You must not mock His Highness.

Hey, you...

(Talent)

Here is the command of His Majesty.

"The Lord of the South Gao Yuan has done his duty for national peace.

I should reward him.

He seldom stays with Princess Luoyi

and Princess Luoyi is at the age of marriage.

For the sake that the Gao Family remain loyal and grateful,

the Lord of the South will stay in town

and won't leave before Princess Luoyi gets married."

Respect this.

(Royal Decree)

They appear to be satisfying me.

But actually,

they're restraining me with Luoyi's marriage.

Interesting.

(Mild Weather and Bright Scenery)

Shiyu, are you sure

the Lord of the South will not

threaten you to marry his sister?

I gave him something he wanted more.

So, he can't threaten me anymore.

That's good.

Yueling,

the wedding date is fixed.

Don't recruit a husband anymore.

I... I didn't know you had solved this problem.

I just thought,

"If I recruit a husband,

you won't be forced anymore."

His Majesty and you wouldn't be stuck in a dilemma, either.

But anyway,

I don't want you to marry Princess Luoyi.

In my life, I will marry

no one but you.

Yueling,

will you only listen to me and trust me?

Chen Susu indeed helped you.

But she also persuaded you to leave me.

She was a spy for the Lord of the South and me.

But when he and I have a problem,

she'll only take on his side.

I know I'm wrong.

From this day on,

I'll listen to and trust no one but you.

But from now on,

don't keep anything from me.

I won't. I was in the wrong, too.

I should have told you about it.

It won't happen again.

That's more like it.

I was quite nervous.

After all, my girl

would nearly be stolen.

How would that happen?

Gentleman,

we're closing.

Well, gentleman,

enjoy yourself.

(Su Nian,)

(where have you gone?)

(I realized just now)

(that I didn't know you at all.)

Luoyi, let me explain.

Your Grace, don't do this.

Something must have gone wrong.

Leave! Both of you!

You both lied to me.

You promised that I would marry Shiyu.

In the end,

he would marry the Princess of Dongyu!

Your Grace.

Your Grace.

Luoyi.

Luoyi!

Your Grace.

Your Grace!

Luoyi.

Luoyi,

Zhou Shiyu doesn't love you.

Forcing him will not work.

But you told His Majesty

Shiyu would marry me.

Why does it not count?

Whatever I want,

you always get it for me.

Then why can I not marry Zhou Shiyu?

Luoyi,

I'm not leaving this time.

I'll stay in town with you.

What's the point?

To get me a husband?

Then you'll leave

without a return date.

Then I wish I would never get married.

Su Nian, what happened to you?

Xingyi? How did you know this place?

Someone told me.

Come on.

(Su Nian is in Liu's abandoned house on the east side of town.)

So,

Lingxi told you about it.

Su Nian.

Let me get you down.

Have some water.

Su Nian,

I've looked for you since I was back from Dongyu.

Unexpectedly, you live in such a house

all alone.

Are you sick?

Why are you so weak?

You know what I am, don't you?

I tried to kill you.

How dare you come to me again?

Because you've never hurt me.

Instead, you saved me.

So what?

Don't you fear I'll change my mind,

turn against you,

and kill you now?

No.

Because you could have done that.

But you've never hurt me.

So, you're just like me.

What do you mean?

We both care about each other.

I don't.

Don't flatter yourself.

You just leave.

Otherwise,

I'll kill you as Master ordered.

I'm not leaving.

Kill me if you like.

You...

Su Nian.

Su Nian, what is wrong?

The poison.

It's attacking.

Poison? What poison?

What do I do? Is there an antidote?

What can I do?

How can I help you?

I'm so cold.

Su Nian, don't worry.

I'll go get the antidote.

I will save you.

(The North Prince's Mansion)

(Pleasant and Harmonious)

- Zhou Shiyu! - Wait.

Zhou Shiyu!

Don't stop me. Emergency.

Why did you get in?

Without permission, you can't get in.

Why so many rules?

Linmu.

Yes.

Your sister is worried about you.

When you're done, go back to her.

I know.

Tell her I'm all right.

I want you to get me the Roufeng Sect's antidote.

Roufeng Sect?

It's in the Prime Minister's house, I guess.

Prime Minister's house?

The Roufeng Sect consists of assassins.

But the Prime Minister is actually behind them.

His house is always heavily guarded.

But luckily, he has been away lately.

Wait for a few days.

I'll think of a way.

All right. Just be quick.

(Pleasant and Harmonious)

Your Highness,

are these all the betrothal presents?

Are you giving out all you have?

Isn't this a bit too much?

Isn't it excessive?

They're not enough.

- Wait. I'll list more. - More?

Your Highness, don't list more.

Or you'll have nothing left.

Your Highness, it's...

Isn't it a bit too much?

Let me measure your shoulders.

Madam.

In the books, I saw many pretty wedding clothes.

What do imperial wedding clothes look like?

Rest assured, Your Highness.

The imperial family pays special attention

to wedding ceremonies and clothes.

They'll be far better

than those in the books.

Your Grace, did you recall what you read from the storybooks?

"A Beishuo girl usually makes the wedding clothes

for her beloved man."

So,

do you also want to make them?

That's not true.

Your Grace, when you don't eat or drink,

I feel really sorry.

Ping'er,

will Shiyu really marry her?

I heard

he's preparing the betrothal gifts.

Nannies were also sent for the measurement

of their wedding clothes.

Wedding clothes?

Is there really nothing I can do?

You can do...

Your Grace, maybe you can do something.

What is it?

Somebody!

Her Grace killed herself!

Somebody come!

Somebody!

Physician,

how is she?

Your Highness,

Your Grace is seriously poisoned.

It's really hard to save her.

What are you talking about?

I can only feed Her Grace

some detoxifying decoction.

If she can wake up,

she may survive.

But if she can't wake up, I'm afraid...

Physician Liu,

think it over before you reply.

If Luoyi can't wake up,

you'll end up...

Yes.

I will do my best.

I'm on the prescription now.

Your Grace,

why did you do such a silly thing?

You swallowed poison for the North Prince.

You're here in a coma

while he'll have a wedding with someone else.

Ping'er,

did Luoyi

really kill herself with poison

for the North Prince?

That's true, Your Highness.

The North Prince is so merciless.

That's why Her Grace did this.

And the Princess of Dongyu...

She gave Her Grace many hard times.

Your Highness,

please do Her Grace justice.

(Mild Weather and Bright Scenery)

Your Grace.

Your Grace.

Your Grace.

What happened? Take it easy.

Your Grace, Princess Luoyi killed herself.

What?

No, no, she didn't kill herself.

She tried to kill herself.

But she was saved.

Do you know why she did that?

I heard His Majesty issued two decrees.

One was for your wedding with His Highness.

The other was for the Lord of the South.

His Lordship was asked to stay in town

and get a husband for Princess Luoyi.

What?

How did that happen?

So, she killed herself

because she couldn't marry Shiyu as she wished?

Your Grace,

according to her servants,

that was true.

Since Princess Luoyi went back from here,

she's been angry.

Shortly after that, she swallowed poison.

Oh, no. Qianqian.

Go get me a carriage.

I'm going to see Shiyu now.

- Hurry. - All right.

Shiyu.

What happened?

Do you know what happened to the Lord of the South?

Yueling, which one do you mean?

His Majesty's decree.

And Princess Luoyi nearly killed herself.

I knew.

You did?

In this case,

why did you not stop His Majesty?

In this context,

won't the Lord of the South take the Prime Minister's side?

So, this is what you think.

Is this not what you think?

Be seated.

It doesn't matter which side

the Lord of the South takes.

What matters

is whether he's truly loyal.

Loyal?

Don't worry.

Brother has his plan.

However the political situation changes,

our wedding will be held as scheduled.

Before that,

do you have any other concerns?

No more concerns.

But up till now,

I still don't know where Xingyi is.

When we hold the wedding,

will he be back?

My men have been stalking Xingyi.

He rented a private house

for Su Nian's recovery.

She's poisoned by the Roufeng Sect.

Their best trick

is to control subordinates with poison.

The antidote is given regularly

to keep them alive.

Once someone betrays them,

he'll have no antidote.

And without it,

the poison will torture and kill him.

Xingyi loves Miss Su.

If Miss Su dies,

what will he do?

Shiyu,

can you do something to help her?

I sent my men to investigate secretly.

In a day or two, we'll know.

Where exactly is the antidote?

Who's in there?

Come on.

It's me. Unless you want to be caught,

stay here quietly.

Who's that?

Mr. Lin sent me here to fetch something.

You may leave.

Yes.

Come out.

Lingxi, what are you doing here?

The moment you sneaked in,

I found you.

Without my cover,

you couldn't have made it here.

This is for you.

What's this?

You want the antidote, don't you? This is it.

Lingxi, why do you help me?

Because Su Nian

once saved my life like this.

In Liuzhou,

she gave you the only antidote.

I owe too much to her.

Glad you know that.

Take good care of her.

You leave with me.

Leave your sect.

I have nowhere to go.

No one in this sect

has a home.

But you have Su Nian.

You're saving her life.

We will be your home.

All right.

Let's go together.

Lingxi really went into my study?

That's true, Mr. Lin.

Oh, no. We're detected.

Let's go separately.

Or neither of us can get away.

How will we meet?

Go give Su Nian the antidote.

After I get away,

I'll go find you.

We'll wait for you.

Lingxi,

you betrayed the Prime Minister.

How will you explain?

I have nothing to say.

Kill me if you like.

You are way out of your league!

Kill her.

Su Nian,

I got the antidote.

Come on. Take it.

Hurry.

You'll be all right.

You will be.

You will be fine.

(Su Nian,)

(you have to live a good life)

(on behalf of me.)

Su Nian, you're going to be all right.

You're going to be fine.

Xingyi.

Su Nian.

You're awake?

This is great.

You won't be tortured anymore.

This is great.

Great.

How did you get the antidote?

The North Prince told me

it was kept in the Prime Minister's house.

I sneaked in, then.

Lingxi was also there.

She gave it to me.

Lingxi?

Yes.

She gave it to you?

Yeah.

She was worried about you.

She lured away the killers,

saying she would come to us.

Glad you're fine.

Why was she so silly?

You...

Why are you crying?

Such a silly girl.

Don't cry.

Su Nian, don't cry.

It's all right, Su Nian.

- Lingxi. - I'm here. It's all right.

Everything will be fine.

Your Highness?

You're finally back.

Your Grace!

Your Grace, Prince Xingyi is back.

- Yueling, I'm back. - Xingyi.

Yueling, I brought back Su Nian.

Greetings, Your Grace.

There's no need of that, Miss Su Nian.

Qianqian.

Get a room for Miss Su Nian.

Yes.

Yueling, Su Nian and I...

You had a long trip.

Go take some rest.

Xingyi, you take Miss Su to her room.

Her Grace can't accept me, right?

I think I should leave.

Su Nian.

You think too much.

It's because I was away for too many days.

Let me settle you down, all right?

Let's go.

Yueling, are you resting?

Xingyi?

Come in.

What's up?

Why are you here so late?

Yueling,

do you not like Su Nian?

That's not true.

Then earlier today, why were you

so cold to her?

That is my attitude towards a friend.

I don't think it's inappropriate.

Yueling,

I really love Su Nian.

We'll be a family.

Xingyi,

Miss Su Nian can be

a good friend, I think.

But I can't accept her

as my family.

She used to work for the Roufeng Sect.

She assassinated us many times, too.

So many things are entangled.

It's complicated. Do you get it?

But she has never hurt us.

She even saved Shiyu and me.

Let me think about it.

You go back for some rest.

Your Highness...

Get out of the way.

- You can't get in. - Let me in.

Don't always stop me.

Show some respect, huh?

- Linmu. - Out of the way!

Get him in.

Your Highness, I'll leave you alone.

You got the antidote, didn't you?

Sorry, my brother-in-law.

Su Nian couldn't hold on for even a single day.

So, I went there to try my luck.

Luckily enough,

I found the antidote.

What did you call me?

My brother-in-law.

Good. Glad you found the antidote.

If you need any help from me,

let me know.

You're the best to me, Shiyu.

I do have two things to ask you for help.

Sit down and tell me.

The first thing.

Can you help me persuade my sister?

She kind of can't accept Su Nian.

She's cold to Su Nian sometimes.

She can't accept Su Nian?

She said friends were different from families.

She just has too many concerns

to think things over for now.

You should understand her.

You're her only family in Beishuo.

She has to worry a lot.

But rest assured.

I'll help to persuade her.

You should be patient, too.

Thank you, Shiyu.

Tell me about the second thing.

I wonder if you know

about Liu Qingshan's case.

I know a little bit.

Then can you get the file

and overturn this case?

It's been Su Nian's anxiety.

I want to help her.

She's Liu Qingshan's descendant?

All right. I get it.
