They set off toxic smoke at the entrance.

We can't get through.

We have to find another way out.

How do you know?

Mr. Shi,

I have no time to explain.

Let's get out first.

The entrance is unavailable.

Do we have to go by water?

Exactly.

That's how we'll go.

All right.

Come on.

Be careful.

Careful.

Come on. Slowly.

After all the hard work,

you fail to poison us.

Disappointed, huh?

How come you're...?

This is weird.

Once again, we fail to kill you.

Even if I can't kill you,

I won't make myself your prisoner.

Take him away.

Go.

Prime Minister,

word came from Liuzhou

that Nan Xun was caught by Zhou Shiyu.

Such a loser.

Send someone to Liuzhou

and he has to find Nan Xun.

Yes.

What about the princess on the run?

She...

She has joined Zhou Shiyu.

What other plan do you have

to put Zhou Shiyu to death?

Prime Minister,

I think Zhou Shiyu

can do some witchcraft.

He can get away every time.

Well,

go get Taoist Master Chen to me.

I'll consult him

and see what witchcraft Zhou Shiyu can do.

Yes.

But

I have someone else to recommend.

Who?

Su Nian.

(Benign and Benevolent)

Every four hours,

they have a shift change.

Maybe I can try this part.

Su Nian?

What are you doing here?

Xingyi,

I heard the North Prince rebelled

and everyone here was grounded.

I'm worried about you.

So, I bribed the guards

and came to see you,

disguised as a maid.

Thank you.

You're indeed a good friend.

You come in my time of trouble.

I've brought you some food.

I guess you feel bad when locked up here.

Something delicious

may make you feel better.

All right.

Xingyi,

are you going to escape?

To be honest,

that's what I'm going to do.

My sister has gone to Liuzhou for the North Prince.

Without my protection,

she can't stay safe.

I must do something to run away.

But if you flee hurriedly like this,

you will be wanted.

Maybe I can help you go to Liuzhou.

Do you have any idea?

Xingyi, I have to go.

Let's just stick to our plan.

All right, Su Nian.

You offered to help.

I'll never forget that.

I will pay you back.

Xingyi.

Su Nian.

(The House of Romance)

Thank you for getting me out.

I'll keep it in mind.

From now on, your business is mine.

I'm going to Liuzhou for my sister.

When I'm back here,

I'll come to you.

Mr. Xingyi,

are you going there like this?

Yeah. With my martial arts and wisdom,

I will make it to Liuzhou.

But I hear you've been wanted

since you were found missing.

Before you get out of the city gate,

you may be recaptured.

Am I really important enough

to be wanted?

I should think of how to get out.

Thank you for reminding me, Su Nian.

We'll take you to Liuzhou.

You're also going there?

Madam Sang, the owner of our house,

is from Liuzhou.

Hearing her hometown is hit by disaster,

she plans to take some money

and girls like us

to Liuzhou for some help.

Yeah, Mr. Xingyi.

You just go with us.

Xingyi, turn around.

Are you sure

this will do?

Yes.

Xingyu, looks like you are exactly

the most gorgeous "woman" in our house.

Yeah, Miss Xingyi.

Let's get going.

(True Virtues)

Your Highness,

we did some investigations.

Xu Wei is a normal guard of the prefecture office.

We stalked him for a few days, but found no clues.

What did Liu Yi say?

Mr. Liu works for you.

I don't think he'd deceive us.

He affirms that Xu Wei was by his side

when the grain was lost

and can't be the bandit.

And the man the portrait of Mr. Shi,

doesn't look like the real Xu Wei.

I don't think

that man works in the prefecture office.

I'll keep investigating.

Wait.

Why did he pretend

to be someone in the prefecture office?

We can easily rule out Xu Wei.

It's not like a framing trick.

I guess he works in the prefecture office.

Since he can get the token,

he can't have a very low rank.

He pretended to be Xu Wei

just to lure us away.

He's in the prefecture office?

Then, Your Highness,

what are we going to do?

Ask Liu Yi to invite

all the officers

to the antechamber.

I'd like to meet the fake Xu Wei.

Yes, Your Highness.

I'm on it.

The robber on the portray...

I think I saw somewhere else.

What are his characteristics?

He was disguised, I think.

That day, he deliberately avoided my eyes.

Think harder.

Did he do anything strange?

Strange?

Speaking of this,

I remember something.

He did have a habit.

What is it?

- Your Highness. - Your Highness.

Your Highness,

you asked to see the main officers.

They're all here.

Recorder Yang.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Counselor Liu.

- Your Highness. - Archivist Li.

Your Highness.

- Inspector Wang. - Your Highness.

And this one.

Assistant Prefect Wei.

Mr. Shi, come up and recognize them.

Yes.

Your Highness,

the robber isn't here.

Mr. Wei,

have we met somewhere before?

I've never seen you, Your Highness.

Assistant Prefect Wei

has been working for me for three years.

He always works very hard.

For this disaster relief, he donated all his property.

Indeed a model for officials like us.

Oh, I remember.

When I arrived in Liuzhou,

I saw someone do disaster relief.

They said it was Philanthropist Wei.

I guess it's you, huh?

Yes, it's me.

It's just a small thing

that I should do.

Mr. Wei,

what is wrong with your eyes?

I have an eye disease.

The old trouble.

He blinks more frequently than common people.

Blinks?

Yes.

However greatly one disguises himself

to cover his identity,

he can hardly change his habit.

Wei Da,

you robbed the grain disguised as Xu Wei.

I've confirmed your whereabouts.

But if you confess where the grain is,

I will spare your life.

It's perceptive of your, Your Majesty.

I will confess everything.

Don't move.

Wei Da!

Your Highness!

Sadly, I did the crime

and there's no way back.

When I get out of town,

I'll release Her Highness.

Go! Get me a carriage!

Wei Da.

- Calm down. - Calm down.

We can negotiate.

Let go of Her Highness first.

Let go of her.

I'll get you out of town.

Her Highness is my amulet.

I can't let her go now.

Shiyu, don't listen to him.

Get him a carriage.

Sorry, Your Highness.

What...

Calm down.

Mr. Wei,

I'm curious about you.

Since you're the Assistant Prefect of Liuzhou

and known as Philanthropist Wei,

why did you rob the grain

and watch people die?

Mr. Wei,

if my consort is safe,

I will let you live.

A powerful prince like you

has his vulnerability now.

Your Highness, do we just let him go?

Keep tracking Wei Da.

Do not alert him.

Yes.

Let's go.

Yueling.

- Yueling. - You're injured.

It's all right.

Miss Qianqian?

Linmu, you...

Shh.

You...

You're trying to flee?

Do you know?

Leaving without permission will get you killed.

I'm really worried about Her Grace

and His Highness.

You're a mere lady.

Even if you manage to get out of here,

can you travel alone to Liuzhou

that is thousands of miles away?

No.

But I know Her Grace and His Highness

are in Liuzhou whose survival is uncertain.

I'm really, really worried.

You can never know how I feel.

I know.

I know all the feelings you have now.

In Beishuo, there's a saying,

"One dies for his soulmate."

I worry about my prince as you do.

So, I can totally understand

how you feel now.

Let's escape together.

All right.

Let's go together.

Come on.

- Miss Qianqian. - Let go of me!

Come on.

There you go.

Behave yourselves.

Let go of us!

Let us out!

Miss Qianqian, are you all right?

Anybody there?

Let go of us!

Let us out!

(County Government)

Where is your lord?

Where is he?

Get in and search!

- Yes! - Yes!

(County Government)

Freeze!

(County Government)

Sir, the grain is really here.

Move it quickly.

Let's deliver the grain to Liuzhou overnight.

Yes.

(County Government)

Let me help you.

Hang in there. I'll be gentle.

I have to clean it

before applying ointment.

You can't let it fester like this.

I...

I knew you suffered injustice in the palace.

No. I was doing great.

I failed to protect you.

I'll punish those who framed you.

Yueling,

when you're back to Dongyu in three months,

I won't be there.

You have to take good care of yourself.

The decree of annulment...

I didn't take it.

He asked to break off the engagement with me?

Yes.

He asked for this decree before he left.

Now, I'm giving it to you.

Then, you don't need to worry you'll get involved

in his crime.

I can get you another husband.

Please take it back, Your Majesty.

Shiyu,

I don't want to go.

I have a lot more things to do.

I need more time.

Our engagement...

I didn't take the decree.

You shouldn't ask for another one.

In this case,

shall we just play it by ear?

All right.

-Give us grain! - Grain!

(Liuzhou)

Don't be impulsive.

- Don't be impulsive. - Grain!

The court gave us a lot of grain.

Why isn't distributed yet?

We've heard about it.

The North Prince gave us grain,

or we would have died!

Yeah. You must explain this today.

Or we wouldn't let you go!

- That's right. - Calm down, everyone!

Why are you deceiving us?

I've heard about it.

He is slandered for rebellion.

No one will give us grain.

Don't talk nonsense!

The disaster relief grain will not arrive!

We'll die, anyway.

Why don't we kill some officials first?

- That's right! - Don't be impulsive!

Let's just talk.

Let's talk.

Don't be impulsive.

Just don't.

(Care for the People)

Be patient!

The North Prince is here!

The North Prince is here.

Grain!

Some grain is there.

- Your Highness. - Mr. Liu.

Your Highness.

You're finally back.

If you came back later,

I'm afraid I would be dead.

Thank you, Mr. Liu.

We've found all the grain

that was lost.

The remaining grain is on the way, too.

Mr. Liu, handle the distribution soon.

I will.

Everybody,

the grain from the court

was stolen by bandits the other day!

The North Prince took them down!

- Umm... - Now,

I promise you this.

When the remaining grain arrives,

the twenty thousand dan of grain

will be distributed to you immediately

to show how His Majesty and the court want to help you!

- Great! - Wonderful!

Long live the North Prince!

Great!

This is great.

(Hall of Politics)

In his report, Magistrate Liu Yi of Liuzhou

explained the robbery of the disaster relief grain.

The North Prince got the grain back.

I think

his mansion should be released now

to vindicate him.

Your Majesty,

I don't think Magistrate Liu

can be trusted.

What if he colludes with the North Prince

and deceive you?

Your Majesty,

as far as I see,

he can't be meritorious enough.

Besides,

the North Prince hasn't explained

about the grain thing.

Isn't it too early

to conclude now?

Prime Minister has a point.

Before the whole story is clear,

we should have doubts.

Because it concerns the North Prince's reputation.

No more discussion!

I've made up my mind.

Shiyu is meritorious for finding the grain.

His mansion should be released.

He's still working hard on disaster relief.

I won't want to disappoint him.

I wonder how Her Grace is doing

and if she has found His Highness.

Yeah.

We're grounded here

and don't know anything.

I'm so anxious.

What?

The guards are ordered to leave.

Now, you can go anywhere you want.

Really?

His Highness is innocent, huh?

Yes. His Highness is not only innocent

but also meritorious.

He'll come back with Her Highness.

Qianqian.

Yeah! Her Grace is safe!

(True Virtues)

Colluding with Magistrate Li Zhong of Wan County

Wei Da hid the grain there.

No wonder I searched throughout Liuzhou

but didn't find the grain.

But before we came,

Li Zhong had escaped.

I have my men tracking him down.

How can Wei Da and Li Zhong

be daring enough to embezzle

the disaster relief grain?

You have to arrest Li Zhong.

Have Wei Da escorted to the Capital City

for the Ministry of Punishments.

Yes, Your Highness.

How's it going with the iron mines?

I bought back the sold iron ore

and had it delivered to Liuzhou.

Everything's going fine at the moment.

Good. Well down.

Our top priority

is to rebuild Liuzhou.

Heighten security everywhere in the city

in case of more accidents.

Rest assured.

I'm on it now.

Shiyu.

Are you going out?

I'm going to the relief center.

What about you, Yueling?

Here.

I brought some money and jewels.

Why?

The grain is back.

But Liuzhou needs post-disaster reconstruction.

You need money for everything.

I also want to help.

This is all you have?

This is all I have now.

I have some in the Capital City.

But it's too far away.

I don't have enough time to get it.

Is it not enough yet?

I know you want to help.

But this is very little.

It may not help a lot.

What do we do, then?

To rebuild Liuzhou,

we need to rethink for a careful plan.

But thank you, Yueling.

For what?

I didn't help a lot.

I'll think of another way.

OK. I should go.

Yang Xu, someone wants to kill me!

Yang Xu!

Your Highness, here I am!

Take him down!

Your Highness, are you all right?

All right?

I was nearly killed! How could I be all right?

Confess! Who sent you to kill His Highness?

Yeah. Who sent you?

I'm always nice

and I have no enemy.

You get the wrong guy, huh?

My target is the South Prince!

You framed the North Prince.

When he was expelled to Liuzhou,

you wanted to steal his consort.

We'll keep fighting against you

until we die!

Take him out and interrogate him!

We'll keep fighting against you

until we die!

- North Prince? - Just wait!

North Prince wants to kill you, Your Highness.

Zhou Shiyu?

He wants to kill me?

Exactly.

You have no idea.

News has spread in the Capital City.

The Princess and the North Prince went to Liuzhou.

They are not only famous for disaster relief

but also stick together really lovingly.

They're going too far!

The princess fooled me.

And Zhou Shiyu...

I'm his second brother.

How can he try to kill me?

Your Highness, under such circumstances,

we can't just wait and do nothing.

Do you have a good idea?

We...

He who strikes first gains the advantage.

He who strikes last may not fail.

How about we go to Liuzhou now

and kill the North Prince

once for all?

Xu,

it's so good to have you.

Your Highness,

I'm always here for you. Don't worry.

(Liuzhou)

- Here. -In you go.

This outfit suits me.

But my belly...

Get off! All of you!

We interrogate anyone to get in.

Where are you from? Where are you going?

What do you do?

Where will you live?

You have to report everything.

Oh, no.

He must be here to arrest me.

Miss Xingyi, don't panic.

Everyone in the carriage, get off!

Who's skulking back there?
