a collapsed lung.

is trapped between the lung

and the chest wall.

Too much and it'll lead
to a cardiovascular collapse,

and that's it.

A pneumothorax may kill him
but an emergency thoracotomy

performed in the middle
of the jungle with no equipment

and no anesthetic
definitely will.
