After travelling far and wide across the country for homestays,

all our couples are back in Sydney

ahead of the seventh dinner party of the experiment.

CARINA: Today's dinner party.

Having returned from their homestay in Melbourne,

Rhi and Jeff are going into tonight's dinner party

with high hopes for the future.

Mine and Jeff's homestay went really well.

It was actually better than I expected.

Going into homestays, I was worried that the experiment

was the glue keeping us together, considering we did date before

and obviously it didn't work out, but homestays really did, I guess,

clear up those worries for me

because I feel like we were just instantly extremely comfortable

and it just felt natural, which was great.

During their homestay, Jeff felt so at home with Rhi

that he decided to take a significant step forward

in their relationship.

it just made me realise how serious this relationship really is.

Coming back from homestays,

I think we're in a good place, if not a better place,

than we were before we left.

I enjoyed seeing what Awhina's life is like,

considering the states that we live in,

At last week's commitment ceremony, the lack of intimacy

in Beth and Teejay's marriage was in the spotlight.

that sexual intimacy and, like, physical intimacy

hasn't progressed for you two?

I genuinely believe it's an emotional connection thing,

and I really want to feel like our souls are intertwining...

..before moving back into the intimate side of things.

We went on a date and then that night we were intimate again,

which was awesome.

Like, I've obviously had real concerns

but I've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt

and try to see the good in him and try and look for the good.

Now I realise that supporting him as my husband

OK, so, it started off really well.

Like, we went to Manly first and we actually had a lovely time.

We went on a date. Ryan bought me flowers.

Um, and then we drove to Campbelltown.

So, we sit down with our friends

and, basically, we're just having a normal conversation.

And then, all of a sudden,

his friend brings up the letter-writing task...

..and just starts digging into me.

So, Ryan had relayed stuff like,

Jacqui said I can't provide for her family and stuff like this,"

which I didn't do.

"I'm concerned that you financially contribute less than I will.

"It's 'cause I'm not convinced that you have enough financial skills".

I didn't say that. And so...

I heard it but anyway.

It just got more heated. They just started yelling.

Like, I'm not even kidding when it was, like,

nothing short of just verbal attacks.

I got scolded, as well.

What sort of stuff were they saying?

Things like, "Ryan is stitched up being with you.

"You think you're better than him."

Yelling that...? They're yelling that?

Yelling it at me.

JEFF: What about the letter comment?

What's remarkable here is, traditionally,

when someone walks into a cocktail party on their own,

they have the support of the group.

This time around, Jacqui doesn't have that.

Well, it seems to be quite clear

that the group don't really trust Jacqui.

I'm not validating what Ryan or his friends said in any way,

but, that letter you wrote him,

God, it was...

It would have been hard to hear for anyone.

But, also, I feel like we don't hear his side too much.

RYAN: I think she's going to be playing the victim card

Literally, homestays week was the tipping point

and it's fallen the wrong way.

and judgemental of all aspects of my life.

This week could have been so much better

if Jacqui had a bit more self-awareness,

a bit more consideration

and took some accountability for her behaviour.
