from USC for theater.

After I graduate,
I do plan on moving to New York,

and the hope is that
I will book a show.

I've always wanted to make music
and make art,

but I grew up in
a little town in North Carolina,

and there wasn't a ton
of diversity.

It was very isolating.

But my parents did
a wonderful job

of making sure
that I got exposed to the arts.

And seeing people
that looked like me on a stage

made me believe that this was
something that I could do.

And now I'm here.

Getting to work
with John and Coco,

it's really progressing my art
and furthering my training

and pushing me in the direction

that I want to go in.

John: I wanted them to sing
like a modern R&B song

because Bryson does runs
like an R&B singer,

but sometimes he reminds me
of a more like,

classically trained type artist.

a little bit intimidating

just to have
people of that stature

just trying to create
the best version of me.

Having this experience
be right after school

has been really amazing.

Feel like I've been in school
for my entire life.

I mean, I was probably about 7

when I started
performing arts camp,

and I've been doing it
since then.

I remember junior year of high
school was very overwhelming,

and at one point,
I did get diagnosed

with a form of depression.

It is something
that can take a toll

and kind of reel you back
from being on stage.

And so I'm just really proud

that I was able to get to
this point.

That fear, it's there, but you
learn how to push through it.

Bryson is definitely
well trained.

You can tell
that he went to school for this

and that he really
values classics.

Bryson,

and it's just gonna be
a beautiful performance.

of my career,

when I was getting in the midst

that full circle.

For that to actually come true,
