We were just wondering,
like, "Did we all see that? Is this really happening?"

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

...to believe.

When somebody dies,

many believe
their spirit is absorbed by their surroundings...

causing those surroundings
to then become haunted.

Which means that,
for any building

that has seen
its fair share of life and death,

like, for example,

an abandoned nursing home,

the chances
of a visible haunt...

are extremely high.

Two paranormal investigators
in Illinois

recently tested this theory.

And ended up
with plenty of evidence...

that it's true.

July 2023,
in Sumner, Illinois.

Paranormal investigators,
Ryan Zacherl and Dave Geer,

are on their way
to an abandoned building

with a creepy reputation.

Tonight, we are
going to be spending the night

at Pine Lawn Manor,
a nursing home.

This looks like it's
something straight out of a horror movie.

I'm Ryan Zacherl,
and this is my video.

So, Pine Lawn Manor
in Illinois is a location

that we had wanted to do
for a number of months.

We heard these crazy stories
about apparitions,

and paranormal activity,
and shadow figures.

A lot of the people
that we knew that had been there

said it was one
of the most terrifying places that they had ever been.

As soon as we
walked through the doors,

you could feel this oppressive
and depressive energy

that kind of hung throughout
the halls of that place.

Energy that
yields activity for the duo almost immediately.

So, we got a walk-through
of Pine Lawn Manor

by a fellow paranormal
investigator named Lennon.

Do you want to
walk us around a little bit? - Absolutely.

I remember,
towards the beginning of that walk-through,

before we even made it
to the corner of the hallway

to make the turn
to go to the rest of the facility,

he was standing
in that corner, talking to us.

And as
Lennon recounts a previous experience he had,

something remarkable happens.

And I heard, well,
very distinctly, about three footsteps.

Did you catch it?

Watch again in slow-motion...

as a strange object
flies by in the space

between the back
of Lennon's head...

and the doorway behind him.

Some sort of ball of shadow.

Some black mass flew
so quickly behind his head

that it was
almost unnoticeable.

But slowing it down
frame by frame,

you can see it
very clearly on the camera.

And it definitely
wasn't a bird or a bat

because we're very
hyper aware of what's going on around us.

Since we've been
investigating for so long,

we would have seen
some sort of bat or bird

flying down
the hallway behind him.

Even
more remarkable,

another camera
recording Lennon from the side

picks up nothing.

The other camera
would have seen

this flying object
going behind the man.

But there's nothing there,
and, to me, that's very unexplainable.

It's very strange.

Was it energy?
Was it some sort of spirit?

Was it some sort
of manifestation?

I have no idea. But it was
definitely very strange.

But since the team
doesn't notice the strange anomaly in the moment,

they commence
with their usual investigation technique.

What we're
going to do now is actually chain and lock the building...

so nobody definitely can
get in where we're going. That's right.

We started out
our night there

by setting up the cameras,
our paranormal equipment,

audio recorders
throughout the building,

and leaving just to see
what it would capture

when there was no one there,
no one inside the building.

And sure enough,

in a patient's room
with some dolls,

where Lennon
told Ryan and Dave

that he had been previously
scratched on the back,

watch very closely.

Watch again.

In the completely empty room,

a light seems to pass
above the bed

while a shadow
passes below it.

Whatever is moving
in front of that camera,

going across that bed,

that shadow is actually
reflecting the infrared light from the camera

back into the lens,
causing a lens flare.

So, there's something there
in front of the camera

that is moving
to reflect that light back in.

This video really has
two parts to it.

There's not only
a light above,

but you have the shadow
that's on the bed.

It looks almost like
it's a three-dimensional sort of an object.

It cruises by at
the same speed as the light.

So, I really
don't know on this.

Still, to this day,
I can't explain what caused that shadow,

why it was there.

There's no
natural explanation for it.

But for the team,
the most direct connection

to the spirits
inside the building

comes later.

While doing an EVP session,

in a room where people claim
to have seen the spirit of a former nurse...

named Ed.

Listen very closely.

Ed,
take a picture with me.

Laughing.

Listen again.

Right after they asked
if Ed would like to be in the picture,

they pick up
the disembodied sound

of laughter.

Take a picture with me.

Laughing.

That right there is
what you look for

when you capture
something unexplainable,

because you hear
the laughing on the microphone,

and then, a different piece
of equipment says, "Laughing."

It's just...
it's just chilling.

Take a picture with me.

When you hear
that disembodied laughter,

you can clearly tell
that it is laughing,

and that it is not anybody
who is living, present,

making that sound.

Going with that,
that is so important is,

the Spirit Box
literally says, "Laughing"

just seconds after
the disembodied laughter.

To me, that was
pretty incredible.

Laughing.

Incredible enough
that, soon after,

Ryan and Dave
conclude their evening.

Well, that is going
to have to be the end of our investigation

here at Pine Lawn Manor.

And for Ryan,
considering the flying object,

the shadow,

and the laughing...

unexplainable nights

I have ever had
inside a haunted building.

I really do think
that Pine Lawn Manor

is probably one of the most
haunted places

that I have ever been.

who moved into
an apartment that had some paranormal activity,

some trigger objects...

Ever since moving
into their apartment three years ago,

partners, Bobby Inch
and Chrissy Seabrease,

have been inundated
with paranormal activity...

...like mysterious footsteps,

doors... closing on their own,

and, most often, issues with
one particular cabinet

that are so extreme

Bobby and Chrissy
have tied it closed.

So, I'm sitting here,
watching a movie,

and my cabinet yanked,

like, you can still see it
moving a little bit.

Like the thing I have it
tied shut with, and usually, it's tighter than that.

See? Look. I told you.

- And I'm Chrissy.

And this is our video.

I'm a really
hardcore antique collector,

and I've had some dolls
handed down to me from people who've passed away.

I was passed down
a bunch of antique dolls,

you know, the porcelain dolls.

And he just
happened to love them.

He loved them.
So, we kept collecting them.

We would go to antiques shops,
all sorts of different places, and buy these things.

And they
would place these dolls

along with other collectibles
in the cabinet.

And shortly after,
it started acting up.

Hello?

Is there a reason

And on this day, once the cabinet doors are open,

things become
extremely bizarre.

All right. I'm about
to close the door.

I'm pretty sure that doll
just looked up at me.

seconds later...

That one right there.

But I could have been wrong.

After a while,
the head went right back down,

and, like, looked right at me.

So, I was kind of
done at that point because I verified that.

Yeah, I did see you move.

It's a rush.
It really is a rush when it's happening.

All right. I'm about
to close the door.

I'm pretty sure that doll
just looked up at me.

When I see a doll head
move like that seemingly on its own,

that's when I gently
close the cabinet

and pull
the paranormal equivalent

of just fading backwards
into the hedges.

There was some shift,
or at least a feeling,

culminating, I think for me,
when that redheaded doll moved.

The first time,
it could have been gravity.

The second time...

Mm-mm. I don't think so.

The energy
is in that cabinet.

Well, it's all over
the apartment.

But it does...
It manipulates different items in our house.

And it may be
assisted by Bobby's own particular energy.

Is there a reason why you
wanted me to open the door?

I've always
loved the paranormal.

I kind of deal with spirits
my whole life.

So, I'm kind of, I guess,
considered a channeler.

So, they've always
surrounded themselves around me.

Everywhere I moved,
I've always dealt with it.

Dealt with it,
and, it seems,

amplified it.

Just look
inside his cabinet.

He has ghost books,
a metal spike thingy, several dolls and clowns,

and an Egyptian statue
of the god of the dead,

and a spirit board.

So, the real question is,
how is this doll not haunted?

It looks like it's nodding
in agreement to the questions that he's asking.

There is
a lot of energy contained in that cabinet.

One day, it's going
to probably unleash and come forward,

and he's going
to have a lot of chaos in his home.

Dude, that
was so scary, man.

A possibility...

that very much
unsettles Chrissy.

I'm afraid. I'm afraid. I hate it. I hate it.

He loves it.
He loves every bit of it.

I'd move in
a heartbeat. I would.

But if
Bobby is the magnet,

there may be little
they can do.

Depending on his intention,
that's going to clue in what happens next.

really believe what I was seeing

because I saw the shadow move.

And then, I almost waited
for everybody else's reaction.

hard to identify.

It really just
looked like a blur

that just came across
the entire sky, and then, disappeared.

Whatever
this flying object is, it seems to be invisible,

other than the fact
that it's casting a shadow on that cloud.

Because we don't see it
in the clear blue sky

before it enters the cloud,

and after it passes,
we don't see it exit into the sky again.

A lot of people
on the Internet are working on the theory

that this is the shadow
of a plane that's passing high above the clouds.

The challenge to this
is that you don't see or hear a plane

on either side of the clouds
as it passes through them.

So, is it possible that,
maybe it's so high up,

and that the angle
of where they're filming in that direction

doesn't pick up the plane?

I'm not sure.

But
Will has his own answer to that theory.

I'm prior military.

My father was
in the Air Force.

I was part of our
airborne division in the Army.

So, I'm very
familiar with planes.

Because of the major
international airport being as close as it is,

there's rules about
where you can fly, the speed you can fly,

the altitudes you can fly.

There's a lot of regulations,
and really smart people controlling that.

To see something
moving across the sky at this speed...

it would have to be
moving at a speed that is only capable

from, like, fighter jets
or something with that type of power.

We can't have those
because of the international airport flying that close.

They have to fly in a separate
airspace for the base that's by Fort Worth.

So,
if it's not an airplane,

then what is it?

The fact that,
where there's no cloud,

there's also no object.

I think that's what makes this
so interesting to me.

I'm suddenly thinking
this is some sort of cloaked ship.

This is something that
can't be seen with the naked eye,

but that is still
physically present enough to cast a shadow

when there's
something for a shadow to be cast upon.

Could it be that,
at that moment,

the lighting, the way
that everything was different,

and shifted from
our usual perception,

could we be more open
to see things in the sky?

It's almost like
perhaps seeing in a different spectrum

due to the eclipse.

Possibly.

But whatever the reason
for its appearance,

Will is just grateful...

that it happened.

Humans have
a tendency to think that we know everything,

to think that we're
at the peak of where we're going to be,

and I think
it's really nice to

have a reminder
that we're not the only things out there.

It's a huge universe,
and anything's possible.

in Yorkshire, England.

Local paranormal
investigator, Phil Sinclair, and two colleagues

are looking into
a portion of road with an allegedly bizarre past.

Here I am, on the bridge
of the Stocksbridge bypass.

This road is known
as the most haunted road within Britain.

My name is Phil Sinclair,
and I am the person that filmed this video.

The main story is that,
in the late 1980s,

when the road
was under construction,

two security guards
was looking after the construction site,

and there was hearing
children playing at night.

And they went to go
and tell them to move,

and they disappeared.

And as they was
running off in shock,

they was greeted by
a hooded figure.

What they claim
looks like a monk.

I'm looking for the monk
that has been reported to reside within this area.

They literally went
and called the police,

and went to the police station
and said,

"There's children
playing here at night,

at, like, early hours
in the morning.

Can you come and investigate?"

And as police
allegedly got the fright of their lives,

a terrifying legend
was born...

which Phil seems to get
a taste of almost immediately,

as the equipment came out,

negative responses
off the bat,

straight away, like, crazy.

...a figure
crosses behind him,

seemingly disappearing
into the darkness.

And when frozen
at just the right moment,

appears to have
eyes and a mouth,

which Phil
doesn't even know about

until he posts
the footage online.

People are
messaging me, saying,

"Have you seen that mist?
That figure behind you?"

And I'm, like,
"No. I'll have a look."

It just appears
out of nowhere. This misty figure.

You definitely could see
something running by right above his left shoulder,

and it looked like
it had something with,

like a hat on
or something of that nature.

To me, it looks
about the height of

what you would expect
a person to look like

moving back there
in that distance.

I don't know what it is,
but it is quite strange.

And while Phil
may have missed it the first time around,

less than
one minute later...

What did you see?

If you've ever kind of
looked around in a location

that you feel you know
might be permanently active,

and you catch something out
of the glimpse of your eye,

your nerves can go from zero
to 60 in an instant,

and when that adrenaline
comes out, he definitely looks like he was scared.

So, what is it
that Phil's camera,

and then, Phil himself
just caught sight of?

The fact that he
asked the question,

"Who am I talking to?"

And then, this face
or this image appears behind him,

I think this was that monk
potentially revealing itself to him

when he asked for it.

But if it is
the infamous monk,

how did Phil,
who was relatively new to investigating at the time,

manage to draw it out
so quickly?

When I first started
investigating, I was...

I had a bit of an attitude,

a bit of a...
bit of an arrogance.

Is there something evil here?

So, I'm going in,
I'm quite confident.

I'm really provoking spirits.

If you're playing around

And when you do
see something, and you get negative responses,

your attitude towards
the paranormal changes.

No matter what,
you have all of these things kind of built in our DNA.

you're communicating with the other side.

what's going to come out,

and all of that energy,

actually be a fuel source for the supernatural.

it's his current experience

that tells him what he saw

was very, very real.

I believe that
that figure is still there.

he will show himself.

who may be

La Llorona.

Within the world
of the paranormal,

there is some debate

about whether or not
cemeteries are uniformly haunted.

But for Mexico's
Panteon del Zacatal Cemetery,

there's far less ambiguity.

According to local lore,
the 150-year-old resting place...

has been a prime location
for Satanists,

witches,

and even the ghost
of late owner, Manuel Sandoval,

who is said to march
through the property on a ghostly steed.

And as one security guard
in a nearby mall found out,

the cemetery's
paranormal activity

is potentially so powerful...

that you may
not even need to be directly in it

to come across
its deceased residents.

Baja California, Mexico.

It's after hours
at the Galerias La Paz shopping mall,

and a security guard
records with his phone

as he reviews some
recent security camera footage with a colleague,

and sees the faint figure
of a woman in a white dress

walking the halls.

The two
security guards are confused about the video,

not just because
of the late hour,

but also because
of what happens

when the female figure
enters the range of another camera,

just as the guard
also enters the frame.

Watch closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again.

As the woman in
the white dress suddenly...

vanishes... right as
she passes the guard...

who doesn't even
seem to notice her.

This is
the type of thing that I categorize as

creepy AF, grade-A
nightmare fuel.

You show this footage
to anyone across the globe,

and they're going
to look at that and say,

"That looks like a ghost."

If she were in fact
a living person,

and the security guard
was walking in the opposite direction,

um, he would have
stepped aside or perhaps greeted her in some way.

He does not do that.

As a matter of fact,
he kind of walks right through her.

They're occupying
the same space for a moment,

which definitely makes it seem
like one of them

is perhaps
not completely substantial.

You know, maybe,
is not actually physically there.

So, if not
physically there,

then what exactly...
are we looking at?

When I see this figure,
I automatically think about La Llorona,

which is said to be the spirit
of a mother who caught

her a husband cheating on her,

and then, out of grief
and rage,

took the lives
of her young children,

and now, moves about
haunting people, threatening people,

and exacting vengeance
on all those who cross her path, especially men.

Maybe. But the fact
that the guard comes away from this unscathed...

could suggest that
this isn't La Llorona,

but perhaps,
one of the permanent residents

of the infamously haunted
Panteon del Zacatal Cemetery,

located just across
the street from the mall.

Malls are
really similar in their

intentional architecture

to places like hotels,

places like hospitals,

places like care facilities.

They are meant to house
a large number of people all at once.

And any time a building
like that is empty,

whether it's because
it's out of business hours

or because
it's been abandoned,

it almost creates
this sense of vacuum,

like the space itself
is asking

for presence to fill it.

And so, if there's
a cemetery right next door

with a bunch of,
you know, spirits

looking for something
to do for a night,

why not show up at the mall?

Why not, indeed.

But if it is just a ghostly
late night shopping trap,

let's hope for
the sake of those who work the late shift

the only thing it brings
back home with it...

is itself.

It's a tall,
shiny, metal object...

...stuck
in the ground, with seemingly...

nothing else in sight
for miles.

And Craig is baffled.

It was very shiny,
it was long, it was triangular.

It reminded me of these,
you know,

the obelisks in, like, Egypt
with the pyramids and all that.

It just had
that look about it. But with shiny metal.

If this
were some monolithic standing stone of some kind,

we might be a little more
easily accepting of it

being on the Welsh hillside.

But it's not.
It's a very modern looking,

silvery metallic substance,

and it stands about
eight feet high.

This is not something
that you just knock together in your shed,

and then go toss out
into the landscape overnight.

This is something that is
clearly carefully constructed.

And that even makes it
more mysterious.

Where did the materials
come from?

Where was this built,
if it was built locally?

I think the only way
it could have been brought up, if it was brought up,

would have been,
maybe by a helicopter.

There was no footprints.
There was no evidence that anyone had been there.

So, it was...
It was quite unusual.

An unusual
metallic shape,

suddenly appearing
in a hard-to-get locale,

with no explanation.

- Sounds familiar.
- It is just wild.

At the height
of the pandemic,

when everybody was
locked away at home,

we were having
these rash of reports of these monoliths

showing up
seemingly everywhere,

and yet,
in the middle of nowhere.

And though some were
eventually explained away,

there are others that still
have an unknown origin.

So, are we now
entering the next phase

of this monolith experience?

And if so,
what does that mean?

I've never seen this before.

Almost looks like the UFO

When I first
came across this...

And I was wondering, well,
what if it is...

something that's
been dropped off, and it's radioactive?

The way they stand,
the way they're planted in the ground,

it's not hard to imagine
them simply dropping

perfectly vertically
out of the sky,

and planting themselves
in the ground.

And then, doing what?

Watching us?
Listening to us?

Gathering information on us?
Sending signals?

Are they creating a grid
on the surface of our planet

where each monolith
connects to each other?

Considering
the fact that yet another has appeared since,

this one near Las Vegas,

we may have
the answer soon enough.

But until then,

Craig is choosing to believe
that, whatever their purpose,

the outcome
will be good for everyone.

and I always
look at the stars, and if they are here,

then I want
to be a part of history.
