There's a building in Iowa
that's considered to be

one of the Midwest's
most haunted locations.

Edinburgh Manor.

It began in 1850

as a poor farm
for destitute families.

In 1910,
it was demolished and rebuilt to serve psychiatric patients,

the disabled and the elderly

before being closed for good
about a century later.

But in 2012,
new owners opened it back up

for paranormal
investigations and tours,

because many believe
the Manor is bustling

with spiritual activity.

Recently,
three friends went there to see if this was true.

And they left
with the opinion

that it most certainly is.

February 2022.

Scotch Grove, Iowa.

Paranormal enthusiasts
Justin Soto, Michael Mazorski and Nick Fielder

are being
shown around Edinburgh Manor by a tour guide named Kat,

before they begin
an overnight investigation.

So I would like you guys
to all walk into there. I don't go in that room.

My name is Justin Soto,
and this is my video.

We've also had a report
that, uh, someone has seen the oven door move.

It felt very heavy
in that building.

The minute you walk in it,
you feel it.

And this, this doorway
between here to there is a very hot spot

for just having
energy and activity and things happening.

And as they
continue through the bowels of the building,

where a malevolent spirit
called the Joker is said to reside,

that heavy feeling
only grows.

The basement
at the Edinburgh is insane.

It is insane.
That's all I can describe it as.

And that insane feeling

prompts Justin
to poke around one area.

While Kat conducts
a quickie EVP session with a spirit box

so Mike and Nick
can try to make contact

with whatever
might be present.

for Kat to leave Mike, Nick and Justin alone

to conduct
their investigation.

Little girl's room
is over here.

Which they begin
in a room on an upper level,

where a child's ghost
named Susie is said to have been seen and felt.

We're gonna leave a REM pod
In Susie's room.

They also place toys down as trigger objects

and leave a camera running
to capture any activity,

while they continue
to move around the Manor.

Let's see
what happens.

And just 12 minutes after they leave the room...

Watch the right side
of the screen very closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again
as a black shadow, possibly Susie,

emerges on the right-hand
side of the screen,

then retreats.

Something Justin
and his friends don't see

until they review
the footage later.

It kind of popped in,
and then it kind of popped out

like it knew
the camera was there.

I know at the time
there was nobody in that building.

It's pretty exciting
because it doesn't happen all the time.

Whatever this is,

you can make it out
pretty distinctly.

It looks like
some sort of light anomaly

that's bordering
on a shadow

that might even be
stepping into frame.

It's quite peculiar.

With any kind
of shadow situation like that,

it's really the movement,

the appearing
and then the disappearing,

that makes it click as,
"Okay. We've just caught something now."

We've... we've seen
something happen.

There's activity
taking place here.

Meanwhile,
the three have just arrived at another area of the Manor

that's said
to be highly active.

And after hitting
record on the camera,

they then leave the building
to take a break.

And 25 minutes later,

while they're still outside,

watch very closely.

It almost looked like
something, like, just out of thin air.

You just saw like a--
Like a dark shadow just, kind of, pop in.

And then
it kind of faded out.

That was actually
really exciting, to catch that.

Two distinct
shadows in a relatively short amount of time.

It's clear the building...

is active.

It's commonly believed
in the paranormal that dark history

will leave a stain of sorts
that echo through time.

That in the present
we can pick up

either on our devices
or we can feel it,

or that manifests
as paranormal activity.

And after spending 12 hours at Edinburgh Manor,

Justin and his friends
are convinced they have proof of that theory

and end their investigation.

I believe there is definitely
spirits in that building.

Some nice,
some not so nice.

Probably more not so nice.

is picking up
his two daughters, Jazzy and Kyla,

from their babysitter's house
one night

when, as they are about
to get in the car,

a silent light
streaks by in the sky.

Marc immediately
grabs his phone and starts recording.

Whatever that thing is,
it was just coming across the sky.

I mean, cruising,
and it just stopped.

It's not moving.

I don't know.
It was...

Did you guys see
when it was moving?

Do you see it...
You see it now?

It's a silent,
red and green flashing Tic-Tac shaped UFO.

And Marc and his daughters

are floored
by the sight of it.

What in the heck is that? - It's an alien ship.

- And I'm Kyla.

It came from...
By our local hospital.

There's nothing allowed
to fly over there.

And it came down
across this ridgeline and just stopped.

Whatever it is,
it's just sitting there.

It didn't have
a blinking taillight,

it didn't make any noise.
It wasn't a helicopter.

We've been here
for almost two minutes now, and it has not moved.

I don't know,
but that's crazy.

It's, like, strobing around.

You could see the lights
illuminating the shape as they came around.

And as they came around,
you could see that it was really big.

I mean, really big.

It was probably,
like, you know,

- 50 yards
longer, bigger. - Yeah.

Yeah, it was...
It was a big object.

To be in the sky
sitting perfectly still like that,

not making any noise.

That's not normal.
That's not.

- We should--
- Well, it looks like it's going away now.

Going down,
it's going down.

We were recording
for over three minutes,

and then
it literally dropped

straight out of the sky,
into the woods,

and this white light
chased it all the way down to the woods.

I even pulled up Google Maps.
There's no roads up there.

It's just a a mountain.
Nothing but rocks.

So what exactly
did Marc, Jazzy and Kyla just witness?

You know, with this video,
what's really interesting to me is

you don't hear any sound.

It's not moving.

We see red
and green lights.

And these are different
from these FAA lights

that you will have
on a typical aircraft.

It looked mostly like
what would classically be called nocturnal lights,

but they were stacked
directly on top of each other.

So it was almost like
a vertical Tic-Tac shape,

but clearly made up
of two distinct lights,

alternating between
red and green,

and eventually they move on.

It's almost as though
something was moving through the sky, stopped,

and was watching
this family watch it.

And maybe
that's not as crazy as it sounds.

Oftentimes,
when people are experiencing

or have a UFO sighting
or something paranormal,

they seem to almost be ready
to have that experience.

And I do believe
that it comes to a point

where these
higher intelligences recognize

when certain
individuals are open

or able
and willing to experiencing these type of events.

And this could be
one of these moments where

"Are you ready to capture
something like UFO footage?

Then here you go."

If that's the case,

Marc and his girls believe
someone they know

may have pushed the UFO
in their direction.

I lost their mom a week
before Christmas 2022,

and we used to lay out
on blankets in the summertime and try to catch something.

Try to see if we could
see a UFO, catch it.

- Like, we made...
- Sending it.

...homemade alien goop
because we, we love the show

and we always wanted to try
to get a capture for the show.

So of course. What is...

What did you say
whenever you've seen it?

Oh, I said that it's strange
how this happened after...

Like, right after Mom died.

She said,
"Mommy probably sent it

so we could capture it
and send it in."

I think that grief

has a very interesting way
of playing on the paranormal.

When you find yourself
going through it,

just like any other
traumatic experience,

um, you could, uh,
experience something that is otherworldly

or what
we would call paranormal.

I've never seen
anything, like, that crazy,

and I just don't know.

Mom is everywhere.

These kids
are her whole world.

And, uh, every night now,
since this happened,

every time we walk outside,

the kids' eyes
are glued to the sky.

It's not moving.

Here's hoping
there are many more of these visits

to come.

Spirits in an
abandoned hospital

go on the attack.

Opened in the 1950s,

the now abandoned Guadalupana
Children's Hospital

seems to have a history
much like the plot line of a horror film.

The medical center
was abruptly shut down in the early 2000s

under mysterious
circumstances.

Though it's rumored
that one of the pediatricians

did not have
a legitimate license

and experimented
on children.

And while there is
no direct evidence that this happened,

if true, it could account
for the significant paranormal activity

people have been reporting.

And when three men went there
to see for themselves,

they found it

from wall...

...to wall.

December 2021,
Guadalajara, Mexico.

Paranormal investigators Kevin Barranco and Fabio Adalko

and a cameraperson
have come to the Guadalupana Children's Hospital,

hoping to find evidence
of spiritual activity.

And they
begin their investigation in the surgery room,

as Fabio tries
to reach out to any spirits that might be present.

But whatever's here, eventually,

opts to communicate
in a much bigger way.

A large surgery light swivels on its own.

I'm Kevin Barranco, and this is my video.

That specific moment was really shocking.

We were all left shocked.

We couldn't move.

And not moving
is a good thing

because of
what happens next.

Watch again...

as a drawer
inexplicably flies out at the investigators.

Whatever
this thing is, it's angry.

It's angry at something.

Maybe it's angry because
it cannot leave this place for one reason or another.

Something wanted to present itself to us, to be seen.

And without a doubt,
I felt it.

As an investigator, you're always looking for

the motivation
behind activity.

And to me, it's almost
screaming out, you know?

"Hey, bad things happened.

Bad things happened to me

because of
all of that malpractice,

all of that wrongful
things that took place within that facility."

Though freaked out, the team decides to split up

to capture
as much activity as possible.

So Fabio remains
in the surgery room,

while Kevin
and the cameraperson head off on their own.

With Kevin, eventually,
ending up in the chapel by himself.

I was frightened, but not enough to run away.

I wanted to see more.

I wanted to feel more

to the point
where I kneeled down and started praying.

Watch to the right of Kevin closely.

Watch again.

As Kevin prays,
a figure creeps into the chapel,

and a guttural moan
can be heard.

Which Kevin
does his best to ignore.

It's sort of translucent.

It kind of emerges
from behind him

and, and moves off
to the side,

as if it's observing him
without his knowledge.

And then we hear
that strange noise, that awful noise.

It's almost as if
as he is trying to pray

and summon up
the forces of good,

there's something else
that is very displeased by that.

Meanwhile,
Fabio is picking up some similar sounds...

back near
the surgery room.

The moaning noises.
I mean, suffering patients,

the sick, the disabled, folks
unable to escape the situation

where they're, perhaps,
being experimented on or treated badly.

Somehow,
those vocalizations

set the tone in a really,
not just frightening,

but almost, like,
desolate sort of way.

And that,
and what happens next,

is enough to push Fabio
over the edge.

Kevin immediately heads back towards Fabio.

Finally,
after nearly four hours of sheer terror,

the two men
find their cameraperson

and decide to call
the investigation.

We felt it was not good to continue any longer

as something
could physically hurt us.

Luckily, all three
managed to get out of there safe and sound.

But from all the evidence
they gathered,

it seems that, sadly,

some patients...

...weren't able
to do the same.

It has become
the place that, to me, at least,

is the most paranormal place
I've been to in the city of Guadalajara.

what creature is lurking

in this Canadian lake?

Legend has it
that deep in the waters of Canada's Okanagan Lake,

lurks a large
serpentine creature

with the head of a dragon

known as...

the Ogopogo,

with sightings
dating back centuries,

some of which include
claims of pulling passing horses into the water,

sinking boats,

and, according to
First Nation legend,

requiring a live sacrifice
of small animals

to ensure a safe trip
for anyone crossing the lake.

And while
some startling evidence of the beast

has been recorded
in the past...

...it's nothing
compared to what three people recently captured

from their small sailboat
in the middle of the day.

October 15th, 2022.

British Columbia, Canada.

Dale Hanchar
and Colleen Hanson

are sailing with a friend
on Okanagan Lake

when Dale spots
something peculiar in the water up ahead.

Intrigued, they steer
the boat closer.

And when
they're about ten feet away,

Colleen grabs her phone,
and captures this.

It appears to be a large,
serpent-like head

with copper, scaly skin,

a snout, two eyes, and horns

peeking out of the water.

And the boaters
are stunned.

My name is Colleen,
and this is my photo.

My name is Dale,
and I was driving the boat.

When I took
the picture of it,

I was thinking to myself,
"That's definitely not a log."

I just thought it looked like
something I've never seen before in my whole life.

I've seen
all kinds of stuff in the water.

You know, seaweed,
logs, everything.

I've had this particular boat
for, getting on, 27 years,

and, no, I've never seen
anything like this.

It didn't move at all
the whole time we observed it.

We were all just speechless.

You kind of look at it
and you go,

"What the hell is that?"

After they pass
whatever it is,

they lose sight of it
in the water.

But once home,
Dale does some research

and finds
that Colleen's picture

looks remarkably
like an Okanagan Lake legend

known as Ogopogo.

It's just
part of the culture here.

It's like
the Loch Ness monster.

It's the same sort of theory
about that.

And people talk about it
quite often.

We have a big statue
in our city park of the Ogopogo.

And you look at it
and you go,

"Why did they
put horns on it?"

'Cause there's clearly ears
and horns.

And when you look
at the picture that we took, you go,

"Well, what are those
sticking out of the water?"

Good question.

The horns
definitely sticked out to me.

I also was looking at it
almost as if those could be,

potentially, ears of some sort
that would look like horns.

But, clearly,
those popping out of the water

is something interesting
'cause it does connect

to some of these sea creatures
that people are seeing.

I saw the head
of a sea serpent, snout.

I could almost make out,
or imagine, a serpentine body.

I could clearly see,
in the water, the rest of it.

There was more to it
than just what was sticking up out of the water.

You could clearly see
that it went down

and it would have been
very large.

My camera didn't capture that,
but that was the thing that impressed me.

It almost seems
as if, whatever this thing is,

it came up to give them
a good look,

and it might just be
as interested in them as they are in it.

A buddy of mine says,
"Well, why didn't you go back

and poke it with an oar
or something?"

And I'm like, "Yeah,
sure, John.

That thing is, like,
three feet across.

And if that's just the head,
how big do you think the rest of it is?"

No, that was
not an option.

Which was probably
a wise choice

because not all Ogopogo tales
speak of a gentle creature.

Local native tribes
have long identified some water spirit,

sometimes referred to
as a water demon, in this lake.

And there are a lot of
earlier stories that don't use the name Ogopogo,

but that talk about
this creature both as sort of a benevolent protector,

and as more of like
a trickster, or even malevolent creature

that overturns boats
or drowns people.

So, perhaps,
Dale, Colleen, and their friend

are lucky
that they get out alive.

It looks like
it's kind of looking for food or something.

I mean, who knows
what an Ogopogo eats?

Does it eat grass?
Does it eat other fish?

Does it eat tourists?

Let's hope not.

But despite the potential
close call,

both Colleen and Dale
are grateful

to have gotten
at least one good shot of the creature,

and they're actually hoping
to get another glimpse someday soon.

I believe it's real, 100%.
I believe it's real.

We go on the water
all the time,

but I think it's a chance
in a lifetime opportunity

that we got to take
a picture of it.

And now, the only thing
that we probably are guilty of is we look for it now.

We want to see it again
so we can get more pictures.

in Salford, United Kingdom,

Leighton Bester
is house-sitting for his neighbor

when he notices a noise
coming from a kitchen closet.

When he finally
gets it open,

he finds something.

What's that?

A 1965
Winston Churchill coin.

Mystified,
he brings it home.

And soon after, finds himself
surrounded by activity like this.

A shaking laptop.

Whoa! I don't
think so. Move!

Furniture
moving on its own.

Whoa! guys!

And...

...general
household mayhem...

...that Leighton believes...

Whoa!
Taking the piss!

...is caused
by a spirit

that's attached to the coin.

Whoa!
That's not good.

My name is Leighton
and these are my videos.

I was like, "What the hell's
going on?"

But freaked out
as he is,

Leighton quickly
comes to the conclusion

that, though annoying...

...the spirit
seems relatively harmless.

Whoa! I don't
think so. Move!

You know, he's got
no bad intentions or anything like that.

Whoa, guys.

We could
look at this as a classic, haunting tale, if you will.

Somebody finds something
or they purchase something somewhere,

and they I bring it home,

and we have a problem.

And though Leighton
is certain the coin he took from his neighbor

is the source of that problem,

he has no idea why.

I mentioned it
to my neighbor.

She didn't even know
the coin was in the cupboard.

And, then, I brought the coin
home to mine,

activity started in mine
and completely ceased in hers.

You have to imagine
the history that these things have seen

and the hands
they've passed through.

In the case of this one,

was it used in some emotional,
significant transaction,

or perhaps used in a dark,
or even dirty deed?

Who knows what psychic residue
might be attached to it?

Whatever
the reason,

Leighton has clearly
become comfortable...

off!
Put the telly back on!

...interacting
with whatever is causing the activity.

But it's not without risk.

I've had enough!

Spirits were people, too,
and they have the same personalities.

Whoa! I don't
think so. Move!

If it's your best friend,
they might understand your cursing out,

your arguing,
the way that you speak.

But if it's
an unfamiliar spirit,

they might take it
as disrespect.

And the fact
that you can't see who you're talking to,

you don't know
how they're gonna receive it.

And the fear
of that may be why Leighton

finally decides
to give the coin back to his neighbor.

But it might be too little,
too late.

Whoa, guys!

The coin is back
where I found it in my neighbor's flat.

So, for the last three months,
it's been back in her flat.

Activity still happens
in mine.

Sometimes,
when you invite these energies into your home,

even though it's attached
to an object,

they tend to leave
an energetic stain behind.

So, it's like you don't really
get rid of all of that entity.

You might get rid
of the bulk of its energy...

...but you probably still have
lingering effects within your home.

It'll take a while
to dissipate

once the object is absolutely
out of your environment.

Bloody hell.

Until
that dissipation happens,

Leighton feels like
he can certainly manage to muddle through.

a woman declared dead
in Ecuador...

...comes back to life.

Many believe
that a soul with unfinished business

may linger
in the earthly world,

their energy remaining
stuck in the in-between,

unable to pass on
to the other side.

And while this may seem
like a terrible fate for the spirit of a loved one,

in the case of one
recently-departed woman in Ecuador,

it may have provided her
an opportunity

to come back in living form

and tie up some loose ends.

June 9th, 2023, at a funeral home in Los Rios, Ecuador,

funeral services
are being prepared for a recently deceased woman,

when some
early arriving mourners

hear a knock
from within the coffin,

open it

and, as a local
cameraperson films,

get a serious shock.

The 76-year-old woman,

who was pronounced dead
about eight hours ago,

and has been in the coffin
for five of those hours,

appears to be alive again.

This is, like, straight out of a horror movie,

except that it's real
and it actually happened.

And when they opened
the coffin,

this woman was not dead.

I think this video is an example

of a lot of people's
worst nightmare.

Actually waking up alive...

...in your own coffin.

It's called taphephobia.

the fear of being
buried alive.

And it's not without merit.

I think
it was during the Black Plague

where they had
a number of people in sort of a catatonic state,

that they were buried alive.

They would take them out later
for some reason

and find scratch marks
on the inside of the coffin.

This was such a prevalent fear

that people would be buried
with these bells

that would be
outside of their grave site

connected to a string inside

that if they wake up suddenly,
they can ring the bell

to alert any passerbys that,
"Hey, not dead yet."

Luckily
for this woman,

her casket
was still above ground.

And perhaps her return
to living status

was driven by a force
more powerful than the fear of being buried.

There
might have been a moment

where she hadn't actually
accomplished everything that she was supposed to

in this lifetime,
and she came back into her body.

The concept is,
if you aren't able to cross over,

you're stuck
in that middle realm,

and that middle realm can be
where you have hauntings and ghosts,

and where spirits
are sort of trapped

in this dimension
of time and space.

So, this woman
might have realized that she wasn't done

in this dimension of reality,
and came back into her body,

so she wasn't trapped
in that middle realm.

The woman, in her physical form,

is transported
back to the hospital...

...where she lives for another week

and, then, sadly,
passes from a stroke.

But, hopefully,
that additional time afforded both her and her loved ones

something they otherwise
might have missed.

And for the rest of us,
this incredible story serves as a reminder

that even one of life's
great certainties

is not perhaps
quite as certain as some may think.

We tend to see
life and death

as these really clear-cut
binary opposites.

But what this clip tells us
is that, just within the bounds of the human body,

death is not
the tidy turning point that we want it to be.

Check your footage
for anything unusual.

Trust that what you're seeing
really is otherworldly.
