Four years ago, when I came
to Orange Park High

I knew that I would
be standing here today

as your valedictorian.

Well, I took one look at you,
my senior class

and thought I'm going to win.

And from that thought
came my four years

of getting the best grades,
winning every math competition

and out-debating
not only each of you

but also my teachers.

Good effort, Mr. Francis.

After all winning is what drives

this great economy forward.

And pushes onward and upward

our scientists and inventors

and our brain surgeons,
like my father

who is where he is today,
despite growing up

in a slum in India.

a winner, you don't only have
to be on the football team

to take pride in winning.
