All language subtitles for 3.5 Social Media Automation

Right then, if it's not already obvious from

previous videos you'll know I'm pretty big on

efficiency and running a tight ship.

If you take your foot off that marketing

gas pedal you might not see the drop

-off straight away but over time it catches

up.

I'm not saying you need to hammer social

media 24-7 but you should have a

drip feed approach and remain consistent over longer

periods of time.

And in order to do that you need

to be efficient with every element of your

business from workflow and editing which we're going

to cover in a little bit through to

admin and in this episode posting to social

media.

Again we're going to explore what and how

I use certain tools to streamline that process

and in certain cases automate it.

And like the other episodes you don't have

to use these tools there are plenty of

other great options on the market but these

are the ones I've been drawn to over

the years and that work for me.

The first thing you need is a social

media planner and especially one that allows you

to curate your feed so you can gauge

its aesthetic over time but also one that

will allow you to automatically post to your

social channels.

The one that's worked best for me is

Tailwind but there's also Plannerly, there's Later and

Buffer to name just a few.

We'll dive into Tailwind and its features shortly

but the other program you're going to need

which is vital to this system is a

text expander and for me that's a program

called Typinator and this will allow you to

build all of your client handles and recall

them from a couple of keyboard commands.

I'll show you that in a moment.

Let's get into Tailwind and take a look

around.

Okay so we are in Tailwind and there's

only really two tabs that I use in

here and this is first off the original

publisher this is the one that I use

the bulk of the time in Tailwind.

This is the one that allows me to

schedule posts, to curate my feed and to

automate all of my social media activity.

The next one I use probably every few

weeks will just be to go in and

update my smart bio which is the kind

of like expanded navigation and menu options that

are available when somebody clicks on my URL

within Instagram and I'll just use this to

update either new blog posts or new workshops

or educational stuff that is relevant to my

audience but for now we're just really going

to use the original publisher.

So let's open this up and you can

see here off to the right hand side

I have drafts that have already been put

in the system and just need scheduling but

a couple of things to note you can

drag and drop these around so you can

create your feed and see which ones work

well together which ones work you know you

know in what relationship they they go together

so I try and sort of mix it

up and vary it so I won't ever

have the kind of same shot side by

side I try and keep it varied but

if we just click on let's go and

create a new post and I'll show you

how this works.

So let's say for example this is my

2021 previews folder so we're going to get

on to workflow and editing in a little

bit so I'll explain this in the later

episodes but you can see down my left

sidebar here I've already got access to 2021

previews and let's say for example we want

to post an image from Sammy and Phil

I like this one let's post let's post

this image so this is Sammy and Phil

in Tuscany so once that's in the system

and it's loaded okay so there it is

let's let's bring that down let's post that

let's post that next okay so there it

is now this is really where the power

of a text text expander it's a mouthful

isn't text expander try saying that quickly okay

and the one I use is typinator so

these are all of my text expansion presets

that I've built so you can see I've

got a folder called weddings 2021 and if

we click on this one sp2 because I've

got sp1 which is Sophie and Pedram and

then sp2 which is Sammy and Phil you

can see that I've already put in their

hashtag their Instagram handles I've put in the

venue the dress the suit the video boy

the florist hair and MUA and then I've

also already pre-built some hashtags that I

know are going to be relevant to this

post so when I click in Tailwind and

I type in sp2 just like that there

it is that's all of the Instagram handles

and all the hashtags that I need to

use or call upon for this post so

I can just put the text in Sammy

and Phil let's try and spell his name

right Tuscany obviously if I was posting it

I'd probably type a little bit more than

just that but you get the gist so

I will build those handles and those hashtags

when I come to first post from their

wedding and once I've done it that's it

I don't have to do it again and

another great feature of Tailwind that I love

is just it suggested hashtags so you can

see here on the right hand side it's

it's obviously looking at what's in the copy

and what I've already used it's going to

generate some relevant hashtags it's always important that

you use relevant hashtags and don't just spam

target accounts so you can see here we've

got some Italian ones we've got Indie Bride

let's drop that in the you can see

it's got a color coded system like competitive

best good and niche I'd try and stay

away from the good ones there they tend

to be ones that have got huge like

huge numbers like 2 million there you see

competitive means it's super competitive so six and

a half million you're almost never going to

get seen with those hashtags but you can

see on the top one six it's a

you know a much smaller amounts of a

huge number but not as much as them

some of the other accounts okay let's drop

that in you can see there we've used

too many so we could just take a

couple of those out we can add a

location Tuscany so we'll just choose Tuscany there

we go we can share it to our

Facebook page I would just copy the text

into that and update it and then we

can schedule it and you can see now

that that is now active and scheduled and

tailwind will automatically post that for me to

Instagram so if you spent half a day

to sit down with your images you know

it's very achievable to generate a month or

two two months worth of Instagram posts just

to make sure that something goes out every

single day doesn't always work like that there

are days when I don't have that system

set up as well as it could be

but on the whole this is how I

managed to sustain just a regular appearance and

an activity on Instagram okay so another really

great feature in tailwind that that a lot

of other planners didn't have when I signed

up tailwind is the ability to edit a

posting schedule or to create a smart schedule

and tailwind is going to when you generate

the schedule it's going to it's going to

look at your account it's gonna look at

when you're you know when you're following or

users are most active on Instagram it's going

to generate these time slots and allow you

to pick when it's going to start posting

automatically for you so if you want to

just post once a day you can just

pick one of these a day I've got

it set up so there's a couple every

day if I wanted to I don't always

do that but the options there that's a

really really handy feature for making sure that

you get the most optimal reach from every

every single one of your posts right so

there you have it it's short and sweet

but a system that allows me to be

efficient and streamlined with my social media posts

it saves me time time I can put

back into my business development or into my

family see you soon
