It's no secret
that the energy created by sudden, traumatic acts

can echo and reverberate
within a space for years,

resulting in all kinds
of paranormal activity.

And there are few acts
more traumatic than taking one's own life.

amidst unclear

and mysterious circumstances.

One investigator experienced
this phenomenon firsthand when he explored

an abandoned home
in North Carolina that's said to have a very dark past.

Urban ghost hunters
Chris Lamia and Joe Cirigliano are exploring

an abandoned house
where they heard that a man died by suicide

when he shot himself.

We're at the "shotgun house."

Um, there was a guy that lived
here that apparently had a, uh, he was brought up

on some charges
and was gonna be sentenced and there were some mishaps

that happened
here at the home.

Wow, this place is wild.

From the get-go, we were like,
I probably shouldn't be here right now.

It's a bad feeling
all the way through.

I'm so nervous now.

And that
bad feeling only gets worse

when they find
a disturbing note.

"It had
to be..."

Oh, I wouldn't touch it.

"...this way."

At first, when you see
something like that, you don't really...

I didn't really pay
much attention to it.

But the more you think
about it, the more it sinks in.

Dude, that is insane.

Just a real,
real creepy feeling.

Even creepier
is what happens next.

What was that?

That sounded like
a gunshot, dude.

Did something happen
to somebody with a shotgun here?

As what sounds like
the pop of a gunshot can be heard.

man, that was some kind of pop.

So crazy to hear these phantom
sounds or noises.

And specifically, what sounded
like a shotgun blast.

Being part of this narrative
of how he took his life.

Then that could be
this residual, uh, audio that we're hearing.

Chris and Joe
are freaked out,

but continue on and find
even more disturbing things,

like empty shotgun
shell boxes...

what appear to be shotgun blast holes

in the side of the house.

At this point,
the bad vibes are starting to overwhelm them,

so they decide to leave.

It's just a weird place.

But a couple nights
later, Chris, having sensed

a presence in the house,
and too curious to let it go, ventures back there.

a powerful freaking crazy feeling in here.

The large cabinet
that was just against the wall

has somehow fallen on its own.

Phew! That scared
the hell out of me.

For spirits to interact
with our physical world, it takes a lot of energy.

The fact that this is
a pretty heavy cabinet

that is very clearly moving,

means that whatever was there
is really powerful.

just seconds later...

...Chris hears
something outside

and goes to check it out.

I thought I heard
another person.

That's why I go outside to see
if there's anybody there.

I thought I heard
people wrestling.

He finds no one.

But when he peeks back into
the room where the cabinet is...

This is that room.

Where we just were.

I was outside and I'm looking
through the window.

Did it again!

And I watched
the thing fall again.

because I want you to see that it's not that easy

I don't know if whatever
is in that house is trying to scare Chris, but

it is absolutely trying
to get his attention.

And it's
not over yet.

There's screaming outside.

Where is that?

They're screaming in here.

Chris runs over
to a shed beside the house.

These screams
are bloodcurdling.

They're clearly emanating
from someone in pain.

Sounds like
a little girl.

Oh, my God!

Now, my question is,
are they residual and perhaps an echo locked in time?

Or are they indicative
of something intelligent in origin?

And, if so, what is it trying
to convey?

Chris finds
no one in the shed.

That really creeped me out.

I'd much rather have something
fly across the room and hit me in the head

than hear
a little child scream.

He decides
enough is enough and calls it quits for the night.

I'm not gonna go back.
I'm not going back in the house right now.

The shotgun house is one
of the creepier houses I've ever been to.

The residual effects of that
are long-lasting to me.

And I will never, ever go back
to that house just due to the fact

that it's pure evil.

there's also a darker side.

that sells the supernatural to the highest bidder.

From demonic dolls

to jewelry with bad juju.

The disclaimers are there,
but not everyone heeds the warning.

Case in point.

A man in Wisconsin who learned
his lesson the hard way.

This thing

Ore Burgett is scanning
a popular auction site for a gaming collectible,

when he stumbles across
something that peaks his interest.

It's a listing
for a haunted ring

with an ominous disclaimer.

Do not buy

unless you believe in ghosts.

Intrigued, he places
the opening bid.

My name is Ore
and these are my videos.

It said something about, um,
the ring had a spirit attached to it.

And I'm like obviously
it's a lie, but, sure, I'll play along.

Ore ends up
winning the ring for $20 and three days later,

he receives it in the mail.

I felt stupid
for buying something for $20,

but then I'm, like...
I justified it by saying, well, at least now,

I have something that,
you know, kind of is like a gag gift or something,

and it turned out to be
a really bad mistake.

Bought a haunted ring, uh,
about three weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it's real

because I had to block off
the closet door because, in the last week,

uh, the doorknob has decided
to shake on its own.

The closet door is
right behind where I sleep and, basically,

whenever I turned off
the lights, when I was about to go to sleep,

I would hear it start jiggling
and that really freaked me out.

May have been
a mistake to with the paranormal.

This is
sort of a classic case of buyer beware.

If you are purchasing
an object and they are telling you that it's haunted,

believe them.

There's, in fact,
a traditional belief that money

for goods have to
exchange hands

in order
for the spiritual burden

of a haunted object
to be transferred with the object itself.

One evening,
Ore hears strange noises coming from his basement.

So, he goes to check it out
and sees this.

I heard
some noise down here.

Not the washing machine,
but some, like, weirdthumping.

And thisthing
was rocking back and forth when I came down here.

You don't know terror
until that happens.

I definitely get
that mental image

of something
making itself at home

at his home.

And it seems to be connected
to that haunted ring.

That whatever is causing
that rocking chair to move is actually sitting in it.

Terrified,
Ore decides to get rid of the ring.

But there's a hitch.

I made the connection
that the ring was causing my haunting

and I went to grab it off
my computer desk.

It was no longer there.

The ring just disappeared.

But even though
the ring is nowhere to be found,

the activity continues.

Like on this night,
as Ore is making a video for social media.

Watch closely.

I'm going to go and, uh...

Did you catch that?

Watch the bottom right
of your screen as a shadowy figure

seems to stand
directly behind Ore.

I'm going to go and, uh...

I thought
that shadow figure was really creepy.

He doesn't seem
to notice it at all.

Uh, and that's always,
like, really unsettling.

Just knowing that there was
something behind you, but you had no idea

that it was there.

And in fact,
Ore doesn't see the figure until someone points it out

to him after he posts
his video.

I look back in that video
and I felt like I was on edge of tears.

I didn't like that whatsoever.

At his breaking point, he calls a service

and has his house
ritually cleansed.

And luckily for Ore,
so far, it seems to have worked.

I ended up making a terrible,
terrible mistake

that I still
regret to this day.

I personally would've
been okay with never experiencing it.

a mistake towith the paranormal.

with spirits

There's
a social club in England that's said to be brimming

with paranormal activity.

It's called

Englefield Hall.

Originally opened in 1880
as a coffee tavern,

it went on
to be used as a shelter

during the Second World War.

And then classrooms
in the years that followed.

Today, it's a social club

where employees have reported
seeing shadow figures

and hearing footsteps

and voices.

Recently, two investigators
went there, hoping to capture some of that activity.

And they came back
with way more than they bargained for.

have just arrived at Englefield Hall

after business hours.

They have the place
to themselves

and start by setting up gear

throughout the building,
which includes static cameras, motion detectors,

and infrared beams.

The noise is
from the stage area, I think.

It was really strange
because when we first started to set up,

there was the old knocking.

And then as the evening
so progressed, um, we were hearing

footsteps running at us.

I've done this for a long time
and, um, it did take me back because it was the loudest

I've heard footsteps running.

Whoa.

One of the scariest things

you can have happen to you
on an investigation

is something you can't see
run directly at you.

It's also a way
that certain energies like to intimidate

other people.

When they don't
want you prying into their personal history.

At one point,
the knocking returns.

But this time, it seems to be
more intentional.

Can you do that even louder?

I mean, that is
a specific request and response.

Can you do that even louder?

And that really starts
to make it seem like, okay, there's not

just something here,

there's something here
that's responding and therefore, quite possibly,

there's something here
that's thinking.

Maybe thinking
of a more direct way of reaching out to them.

Or more specifically, to Jeff.

I feel something
pulling on my t-shirt.

It felt like a hand
brushing down my back really gently.

And you can see the t-shirt
moving on my back.

completely still.

You can see what looks
like a hand clenching the material.

There's nothing more unnerving
to have this feeling

of being touched
and you can't see

what is doing it.

After
about nine hours,

Phil and Jeff are sure
they've captured enough evidence to prove

that something is
indeed haunting Englefield Hall.

And whatever it is,
it doesn't want them around.

Is there a reason why
you've picked on Jeff tonight?

So, they leave
for the night.

But their investigation
is far from over.

At home, they review
all of the footage from the static cameras

and are stunned
by what they see.

Watch closely as a door
in another part of the building

opens and closes on its own.

And that's not all.

Watch the doorway
to your left closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again as a shadow figure
seems to

walk by the doorway
at the back of the room.

Could this be whatever was
behind all of the activity

that Phil and Jeff captured?

You can see it's black.
It is slightly transparent.

And there was no one
else in the building. We had the keys.

Everything was locked down.

So we know,
what we captured there was a shadow figure

of the spirit that was
trying to scare us out of the building.

This is really compelling.
Because it's not an especially dense or opaque shadow figure.

But it is simply undeniably
a shadow of a person

walking past a doorway.

And yet, there is no one there
to cast that shadow.

And yet, it unmistakably
walks past that doorway.

I think that there's layers
of haunts in this building.

Whoa!

And they can be
completely unaware of each other.

And can happen in completely
different, you know, scenarios and times.

Whatever
is going on,

looking forward to going back to Englefield Hall

to investigate further.

A woman is driving home

when she spots something
peculiar in the sky.

So she pulls over
and starts filming it on her phone.

It's a dark, disked
shaped object.

Zooming silently
right above the power lines.

Which the woman follows.
Until it disappears behind some trees.

In a time of so many
weird UFO shapes,

I love seeing a good old
fashion disk shaped saucer object in the sky.

It looks almost 2D.

It looks like a two
dimensional flat, black, oval, disk shaped object.

We don't see any kind
of engine. We don't hear any engine noise.

It's just gliding along.
And, uh, really no explanation for it.

Or at least,
no earthly explanation.

And this classic capture,
which we first covered in season one,

is not an isolated incident.

Two years later,
in Redding, California.

Jamie Wurch and her family
are just about home from church.

When something in the sky
catches Jamie's eye.

Where'd it go?
I lost it.

I did. I was trying
to see this thing.

It's a massive,
disk shaped object.

Hovering directly
above their house.

It will lift up and away.

So we could be seeing
the effects of its propulsion system.

kind of antigravity abilities that these crafts have.

our atmosphere, they're not flying

other solar systems.

They're travelling to

if they're alien in nature, do they want us to see them?

When something unnerving
catches their attention.

Unsure of what it is,
she pulls over,

grabs her phone
and starts recording.

What is that?

Look closely
at what appears to be a yellowish figure.

With a domed shaped head
and pointed ears.

Crouching down
at the edge of a field.

What the
is that?

Yes, exactly.

My first thought
was mountain lion.

I think most of us, our brains
go to an obvious rational explanation.

But the longer I looked,
the weirder it got.

I seen
it's ear flick.

Oh, my God.

It just looked and perked
it's ears up. What the.

And it moves in response
to noises that they make.

That, I think, is really
what puts this over the edge creepy.

Do it again.

It reminds me of
a Sphynx cat or a Cornish Rex. But not quite.

Because that crouch itself
looks, somewhat, humanoid.

I kind of agree with her.

Like it does, kind of, look
like some humanoid creature.

But then at the same time
has this, like, cougar, like, air about it.

Maybe this is some kind
of hybrid creature.

Maybe this is some sort
of elemental creature.

It's just really hard
to wrap your head around what you're seeing

because it doesn't
really fit into any of the boxes that we know

of creatures
that live on this earth.

But it's very evident that
this creature, whatever it is, is not shy.

It comes out
in broad daylight.

And what
you can't see

is that the creature
is intently focused on a group of deer.

Who, according to Stephanie,
are about 100 yards away.

And standing still
as if on high alert.

The fact that it's watching
a group of deer tells me that it is predator in nature.

I don't know what
this thing is, so I don't know what it eats.

But deer is a pretty common
meal for a lot of animals in the wild.

I would have to imagine that
if there was some sort of cryptid creature out there

of this size, then deer would
certainly be a fine meal.

But, if this is
a cryptid,

what type of cryptid
could it be?

This could potential be a Rake
which is a humanoid creature.

Looks very similar
to a regular person.

But skinnier, not wearing
any clothes.

Minnesota has a really
amazing collection of

pre-historic animals that have
been found there.

From saber-toothed tigers,
woolly mammoths, dinosaur bones.

So, maybe this is some
type of, like, feline. Or giant sloth.

Or a massive creature
that survived so many of these extinction events.

And has somehow
in a very small way

procreated just enough
to survive elusively.

It just looked and perked its ears up. What the.

Hoping to get
to the bottom of what they saw,

Stephanie posts
the video online.

She doesn't get
any concrete answers.

But she does find out
she isn't the only one who's encountered it.

When you have these
pieces of evidence that can be corroborated from other people

who've had similar sightings.

It just cements the fact
that we're looking at something

that is cryptid in nature.

A lot of people
report these unexplained creatures,

Bigfoot, so forth and so on.

Right in their
residential neighborhoods.

So I think that maybe these
things are kind of encroaching

on the more suburban life
than they are used to.

So, residents
of Minnesota, keep your eyes peeled and your ears perked...

It notifies them that there's
been movement in the backyard.

When Chris goes
to check on it,

what he finds is terrifying.

Mainly, watch this spot

You're gonna see
a shadow appear.

Boom.

And no one's there.

This was the first time
that something wasn't there when we got an alert.

You can see
the whole shadow. Like a person.

It's nuts.

Not only does
the inexplicable shadow pop in and out of existence...

an equally mystifying orb

that appears near it
at the exact same time.

And then you see
this little orb right here. Then you can't...

Just sits there too.

It does.
Just sits right there.

I felt like it was so strong.

It's like
they're just-- - Boom. Gone.

And the orbs
completely gone too.

Looking for some
insight, Sabrina uploads the video to social media.

And gets a huge,
and mixed, response.

There was a lot
of doubters. And there was a lot of believer, so.

We wanted to show people
that was didn't make it up. It wasn't fake.

So, Christopher was like,
"Go outside with the light on

and see if we can
see your shadow."

All right.
Walk, walk outside real quick.

No, she has no shadow.

Shut the light off.

And do it.

No shadow.
Look at that.

I mean, we tried everything.
And we can't replicate it.

This one I think
is awesome. This is really freaky.

I mean, it reminded me of,
sort of, like a David Lynch movie of something.

It's not over the top horror.
It's not scream inducing. It's just really eerie.

It's like the shadow of
a person, minus the person.

But it also appears
in this uncanny way.

It doesn't walk
into the scene.

It doesn't approach
the yard from somewhere else.

It's just not there one minute
and there the next.

Boom.

Why might this thing
seemingly pop in and pop out?

Well, we don't know the rules
of the paranormal.

And how entities
might manifest.

Maybe it's always there
and we only occasionally are able to see it.

Or maybe it's shifting in
and out of our reality.

Who really knows?

And what about
that bright orb that pops in and out for the length

of time the shadow appears?

Usually, when we start
seeing light anomalies,

or what I like to call
match strikes,

you know, when you, like,
first light a match you get that initial little burst

of friction.

And in the field,

when you see
those little bursts of friction are usually

the precursor to some
sort of manifestation.

In which, we kind of see
happening here as a shadow being.

- Boom.
- And no one's there.

Whoever it was, they just
wanted to let us know that they're here.

If it seems like
Sabrina is used to this kind of activity,

it's because she is.

She's lived in this house
for 22 years.

And a shadow figure

is just par for the course.

It's normal for me.
I've been here since I was five.

That's not the only encounter
I've ever had throughout my whole entire being here.

And there are two
very good reasons for this.

One, her house was relocated
to where it stands now.

And two, one of her neighbors
told her it's sitting on top of what once was

a cemetery.

Cemeteries
are sacred spaces.

You know, people go there
to mourn their loved ones.

They become like alters
to the dead.

And so, maybe defiling graves
can make certain spirits,

or ancestral energies really
upset which could cause certain types of haunts.

Even if there's
no cemetery involved,

just transplanting a house

could really upset
the energies from within that structure.

But, whether
the activity is because of the cemetery,

the relocation, or both,

Sabrina and Chris have
no plans of moving.

We've had mediums
come to the house.

They said that there's
three lingering spirits.

But they're not harmful.

We've cleansed it one time.

But, I mean, everything that
happens here, it's just like, they just, you know,

kind of just letting
us know they're here.
