getting out of here alive."

Is this fireball

this bizarre connection,

and you can see
this thing go boom-boom.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

to believe.

Dolls.

Pharaohs
were buried with them.

They've been used
to cast spells.

And today,

kids everywhere play
with them.

So, with centuries
of humans creating, handling,

and transferring
their energies into dolls...

is it any wonder
they are among

the most haunted objects
ever reported?

who stumbled across a doll
that isn't just haunted...

...it's demonic.

It's 2:00 in the morning.

Eduardo Escalante
and his friend, Osvaldo,

are investigating
a public cemetery,

one of the oldest
in their state.

Eduardo Escalante,

and I am the one
who recorded this video.

Specifically,
activity surrounding a large doll...

...which local lore says

stands guard over the grave
of a young girl.

And it doesn't take long

for strange things to start
happening around that doll.

as the door to the tomb where the doll is...

opens.

Eduardo takes
the opportunity

to try to communicate
with the doll.

And as Eduardo
is about to discover,

his fear is well-founded.

as the plastic head
of the child-sized doll

turns to Eduardo
and seems to grin.

When that doll,
that inanimate object

turned its head as if to look
at the person that is there,

visiting and filming it,

it is a real horror show.

I was so freaked out
by this clip, I hated it.

I mean, I was really trying
to logic my way

out of this one
being as creepy as it was,

and I ended up, I think,
having a very similar reaction

to the people filming it,

which was, "Oh, my God,
get me out of here."

It's not the legs that
you see in the doll moving,

it's the whole upper body.

The shoulders,
the neck, and the head.

I grew up
not really liking dolls.

They've always
creeped me out.

I would play with them
during the daytime,

but then I'd have
to shove them away

in my closet at night
because I just didn't like

the way they looked
in the dark.

Neither does Eduardo.

But as terrified as he is,

he returns to the tomb
one more time

to get some more footage

when suddenly...

And with that,

his investigation ends
for the night.

So, how is this happening,

and why, with this doll?

Dolls are miniature
representations of us.

When children
or even adults handle them,

we are imbuing them
with some of our own psychic residue,

which they are able
to absorb.

Dolls have been used
in ritual and magic for ages now.

If you go to any voodoo altar,

sometimes there'll be
a beautiful voodoo doll.

That doll is supposed
to represent wealth and health,

and all the good luck.

But on the same side,
we have dolls that

you can attribute pain
and anger towards,

and bad luck and illness,

and those dolls can attribute
that type of energy

to whoever's holding it
as well.

Eduardo feels
pretty certain

he knows exactly what kind
of energy this doll holds,

and he is heeding
the warning.

it's pretty much business

maybe I'll find something.

Four dollars apiece, I think,
is a very reasonable price.

Until he gets to the used multimedia section

and something
extraordinary happens.

just by looking, right?

I don't have to scan every
single one of these things.

As Jesse flips a disc over,

what looks like
the smiling face of a woman

appears beside his own
in the reflection.

Moments later,
Jesse turns around...

and we see that there is
no one standing behind him.

What just happened?

My name is Jesse Durfee,

and I filmed the ghost
in the CD case behind me.

Going in there felt like
any other Goodwill.

You're surrounded by a bunch
of things donated by people.

And when I'm in the aisle
and I'm looking around,

I'm filming in front of me,
I'm filming behind me,

I'm flipping through things.

I pull out one
of the CDs and I take a look,

and when I see it,
I see nothing.

I didn't know
until I had actually uploaded the video

and I get a comment
telling me,

"Hey, in your video,
there's a lady behind you,"

and that's when
I really got freaked out.

I had zero sense,
zero feeling that she was

even there next to me,
which kind of makes it

a little creepier.

He pulls out one case,
we look at the front,

he flips it to the back,

and we see,
for just a moment,

his reflection,
and very clearly,

someone else too.

Standing beside him,
looking almost

like she's posing
for the camera,

smiling over his shoulder,
looking directly into the lens.

And yet,
there's no one with him.

So, this really feels to me

like a ghost caught
in the wild.

The best part
about this is that this figure is smiling.

We sometimes
only think about the ghosts

that are connected
to doom and gloom, and to mishap,

but there are plenty
of ghost stories

involving happy ghosts,
and maybe this is one of them.

So,
could this smiling image

really be a ghost?

Perhaps the fact
that it was caught

on a reflective surface
gives us a clue.

Reflections show us
things that our eyes

are not always
capable of seeing.

And so, we see that
in any reflective object.

Something intentional,
like a mirror,

or something unintentional,

like the reflective
surface of a CD case.

And this sort of
inverse world

that reflective
surfaces show us

might include things
that we can't see with the naked eye.

I think
the reason why reflections are so often seen

when it comes to apparitions

is because
it's easier to manifest

in a two-dimensional space

than a three
or four-dimensional space.

Because they're not fully
physical beings anymore,

they can only manifest
in something

that is not
as vibrationally dense,

so they come
in a two-dimensional form.

Kinda makes you think
that all the reflections

we encounter on a daily basis

are, each of those,
essentially a portal

into somewhere else.

Possibly.

But if we're looking
into another dimension,

whose face are we seeing?

I don't know
who she is.

A lot of people
like to think that,

when somebody
donates something,

if it was in a house
where somebody died

or somebody passed,
that they are now

kind of linked
with that item.

Was she,
at one time, the owner of this product

that this person
is holding in his hands?

Perhaps that's
the image that she saw

when she owned
this product originally.

Maybe.

But whoever
this mysterious woman is,

Jesse's just grateful
that his viewers

brought her to his attention.

She obviously liked me.
She was smiling pretty big.

I'm not afraid of her,

and I would like
to meet her again.

And as far
as catching more apparitions in the future...

I think I'm just going
to keep going as usual

and hope that,
if it happens again,

somebody else with a keen eye

will point it out
in one of my videos,

and then I'll go back there

and see
if I can find it again.

One investigator in England
thinks he may have discovered one

in a long-abandoned house.

And when you see it,

you may believe
it's real too.

Accrington, England.

Urban explorer
Daniel Duffy...

...arrives
at an abandoned farmhouse

with a history
of paranormal activity.

I am Daniel
and I am the person who filmed the video.

I'd heard stories
the place was really haunted.

Apparently,
a child went missing a couple of years back

and no one's ever
seen him since.

Tonight,
Daniel is here

to see if those stories
are true...

and is caught off-guard
right as he walks in.

At one point, there was
wet footprints going into the property...

which I found
a bit mysterious

and they were very fresh
like someone had walked inside the building.

Daniel is
a little freaked out

but ventures forth,
determined to see this through.

Eventually
making his way

to the most frightening part
of the house, the attic.

If I was going
to capture anything,

you know, it was going
to be in the attic.

And as it turns out,

Daniel's instincts
are spot-on.

Watch closely.

What was that?

Watch again as, first,

a hand with impossibly
long fingers rises up,

followed by a small face
with black eyes.

Daniel's camera light
goes off and,

when it comes back on...

it's gone.

When I seen the face and both the fingers coming

through the attic space,
I thought,

"I'm not getting out
of here alive."

I didn't know what to expect
when I watched this video,

but then, when you see that,

you're like,
"What could that possibly be?

That is not of this Earth."

It literally
looks like something out of a nightmare.

It's way too big,
way too pale,

way too gangly to be a person.

Honestly, I mean,
if I were there...

...and this thing
were coming at me,

I'd be lucky if I had
the presence of mind

to open a window before
I tried to go through it.

But there are
no windows in this attic.

In fact,
there's only one way out.

Right where Daniel spotted
whatever that thing was.

I had to get out of there.

I thought,
"Now is my time to run."

As Daniel
makes his way back through the house,

his one goal...

get out of here alive.

Finally,
he reaches the back of the farmhouse

and, in his mind,
a possible way out.

I thought, "This is my exit.
I need to get out of here."

And just before
I got to go out the exit,

I turned to my right
and there was a window.

And with that,
Daniel's investigation

is decisively ended
for the night.

I just ran, ran for my life.

I think it wanted to eat me.

I think it was some
sort of a cannibal.

So,
what exactly is this thing?

Daniel thinks he knows.

The story of the Shy Guy,
you know,

it comes
from somewhere in the USA.

And, you know,
there's a lot of stuff all over social media.

He's supposed
to eat children,

he's supposed to come
from underneath a child's bed.

The Shy Guy is the embodiment
of fear and abuse

and, like, mental distress.

When you have enough
of that happening over a period of time,

it snowballs into
these grotesque figures

that become non-human haunts.

Non-human haunts
just waiting for a victim.

And though Daniel got out relatively unscathed...

...he knows
just how lucky he was.

What I experienced that night
was absolutely terrifying.

I think if it was
someone different

who went into
the farmhouse that night,

I think it would've been
a different story.

I don't think
they would've got out alive.

Every December 31st,

cities around the globe
ring in the new year

with dazzling displays
of celebratory fireworks.

But recently, some revelers
have also reported

seeing a completely different
type of light show...

one that rings far
more ominous than joyous.

And until we know exactly
what the reasons are for these visits,

New Year's Eve
might be a lot more...

stressful in years to come.

Hell no,
that's not a balloon.

New Year's Eve 2020.

Dusseldorf, Germany.

It's just past midnight.

A resident records fireworks
from his balcony

when he suddenly spots
something unusual in the sky.

There are three
lights forming a triangle in the distance,

with another one
hovering nearby.

And everyone is baffled.

My first instinct is to say
it's obviously fireworks.

It's a sort
of long-burning light show

hanging in the air.

Until a really clear
triangle formation emerges

and then holds.

That's not fireworks.
That's not...

I mean, we know
what fireworks look like.

This is something else.

Whatever it is,
it does fit within

a commonly reported shape
of UFO sightings.

And if this is,
in fact, a UFO

from another world,

perhaps it makes sense
that it would choose

this particular night
on Earth for a fly-by.

If aliens do have
the technology to travel to our Earth,

maybe during
a fireworks presentation

it's easier for these things
to maneuver around

without being noticed
that much.

On the very
same night in Bogota, Colombia,

the New Year's fireworks
have yet to begin.

But something else hovers
in the sky above.

Watch as an ominous, geometrically-shaped object

darker than the night sky
floats in midair.

Could this too
be a UFO in disguise?

Most nighttime UFOs
are lit up in some way,

what we would classify
as nocturnal lights.

So, this heavy,
dense, dark, opaque object

just hanging motionless
in the sky is, in some ways,

far more unnerving

than the normal
nighttime UFOs that we see.

Could it be
some kind of portal?

Is this weird shape going to,
like, open up into, like,

a stargate
and, all of a sudden,

drop in something
from another dimension?

Or suck someone up
from our dimension?

You know, like,
that's what I think

is about to happen
right now in Colombia.

If so, then it might also be happening

in St. Petersburg, Florida.

a quiet New Year's Eve
in their backyard

when they suddenly see this.

We noticed this beautiful,
bright ball of light

that completely shot

All of a sudden,
the object leveled off

and started coming

know that it's not normal.

it doesn't belong there.

The way it moves,
the way it shines, its color, its speed.

Everything about it clearly
communicates this is a UFO.

Then,
something incredible happens.

For just a brief moment,

I felt
this bizarre connection,

and you can see

And I was just,
like, blown away

and panicked
the moment that happened.

at an abandoned factory.

and I am the one who shot these videos.

I got interested
in paranormal videos

because it's
fascinating to me

that dead people
can communicate with us.

Which is exactly
why Tobias chose this place.

Rumor has it the factory
has a dark history

and is haunted.

There was a machine

that welded
some parts together

and it exploded

and, at least what I know of,

one worker that operated
the machine died,

so they had to close it.

Tonight, Tobias
is hoping to make contact

with whatever entities
might be present.

And sure enough, just minutes
after entering the factory...

as the cabinet doors

swing open on their own...

...causing Tobias
to panic and run for cover.

Tobias' first investigation
is delivering

at almost every turn.

as he enters another room.

Did you see it?

as a hunched, shadowy figure

seems to walk on
the other side of the window.

The first time
that I saw the figure

was actually in my video,
which I uploaded to YouTube

and some viewers noticed it
and pointed it out.

We see this strange
shadow figure in the window

right when he approaches
this particular room,

which I thought
was really stunning.

That was real scary
because I really didn't know

something was following me.

Minutes later,

whatever
might be following him

kicks it up a notch.

The chair
moving across the floor

is enough to end Tobias'
investigation for the night.

But he's hooked...

...and returns
for another visit

two weeks later.

This time, to communicate

with whatever
is inside the factory.

The EVPs he captures
are chilling.

I think it's really important
to conduct EVP sessions

because that's really
the key way

to understand
the type of haunt

that's going on
within a location,

specifically this factory.

And in this case,
it shows that there is

an intelligent haunt
going on within the factory,

and that there's multiple
energies within that factory

because it's saying,
"We're all here."

So, that's
multiple spirits,

and that could be
another reason

why the activity is
so varied, you know?

That's why you have
dark shadows,

that's why you have
objects moving.

It's because
it's an accumulation

of all different types
of energies within that space.

So many energies,

Tobias returns
for yet another visit.

This time,
to explore the area

where the workers
were reportedly killed.

Watch closely.

A shadow figure
standing right behind him.

Then,
seemingly following him

up the stairs
as Tobias runs away.

No!

While up there,
I saw the figure, I just ran up.

We know
there was an explosion,

we know a bunch
of workers died.

So, to think that the voices
that are cropping up in EVPs,

the shadow figures
that we're seeing,

the poltergeist-type
activity...

...is perhaps those employees,

or a residual energy of theirs

that's in the space
from that traumatic moment,

I think that makes
a lot of sense.

Tobias thinks so too.

I think
the shadow figure

that appears
on the videos is the same,

but not the spirit
that throws things at me and shuts the door.

Because I feel like
that one is more aggressive

but the shadow figure isn't,

and I think both of those are
the workers that died there.

Whoever they are,

is determined
to find out exactly

what is going on here,

no matter
how long that takes.

I think I'll try
to talk to them more,

and I'll try to get
more answers to the questions

so I can help them
really get out of there.

We've all heard
of the Headless Horseman,

a centuries-old
mythical figure

who rides his horse
without a head.

More recently, images
of what some have dubbed

"The Night Crawler"
have surfaced,

a stick-thin figure
that is all legs,

a tiny head,
and no apparent torso.

And now,
there may be a new entry

into this category
of not-quite-complete creatures of the night.

Let's just call it

The Runaway Pants.

2021, Ecuador.

A young girl named Magaly
is filming her pet rabbit

when she captures
something inexplicable.

Did you see that?

Watch again.

As Magaly's rabbit
startles and hops away...

we see what appears to be
a torso-less pair of pants

run down the alley

and vanish into the night

as a young boy looks on,
bewildered.

What on earth?

I like that this clip
starts out on such a cute,

cuddly note of a little bunny,

and then we see
these pair of legs

that are shambling,
but in a hurry.

But where are they
running to?

It looks like
a white pair of pants

walking down
the side of the street,

and there's no body.

There's no upper torso.

There's no other way
to describe it.

It's pants. There's pants.

No person in the pants,

but pants are running
down the street.

And they cast a shadow

as though
that's all they are,

so this is one of those
things that, at first,

seems almost funny, and
the more you think about it,

gets really, really creepy.

So, what exactly
is happening here?

Could it be one
of the limbless creatures of lore?

Within paranormal circles, a pair of ghostly legs,

it's pretty unusual

but it does fit
within a larger pattern.

After all, there have been
numerous tales

of headless ghosts
or ghosts with missing limbs.

So, why not a ghost
without a torso?

Why not indeed.

One of the most
clear apparitions

I've ever seen in my life

happened when I was
about 19 years old,

and I was at home, sleeping,

I had woken up for no reason,
it was dawn outside,

and when I looked over
by the window,

I saw what looked like
the bottom half of a man.

When I sat up
to look at the bottom half

of these legs pacing back
and forth in my room,

they kind of stopped
and turned off to the side

and walked straight
through the wall.

With Susan's
own encounter in mind,

could the appearance
of this half-figure

have something to do
with the young ages

of the kids
who witnessed this?

When it comes
to paranormal activity

in which children
are involved,

there seems to be some sort
of magnetic attraction.

Whether it's the energy,
the belief systems,

or the openness
of the child's imagination,

the paranormal entities
seem to have

some attraction to it,

or have this ability
to manifest around them.

Whatever this thing is,

one thing's for certain.

It beats the pants off
anything we've seen before.
