straight towards me.

That scared the crap outta me.

And what creature
is lurking inside this cupboard?

This is something straight out
of a horror movie.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

...to believe.

Did you know
the ancient religion of Voodoo

is still practiced
in Louisiana,

where its followers

believe that connections
with spirits

can be achieved
through rituals,

which sometimes
involve possession.

But is there such a thing

as a Voodoo curse?

According to a man
in Colorado,

there is.

Because his life
got turned upside down

after visiting a Voodoo shop

in New Orleans.

No way! No way!

And it's been
haunting him

ever since.

Aurora, Colorado.

A man that goes
by the name JB

took a trip to New Orleans
in 2014.

It was there
he entered a Voodoo shop,

and was about to have
a reading done,

when things took a turn

for the truly bizarre.

My name's JB
and these are my videos.

The moment I walked in there,

and saw the lady was doin' it,

it was just like
a weird uncomfortable feeling,

and it was shared mutually.

And I kindly excused myself.

And as I started walking out,

um, it was like she came up
to say something and touched my back.

And she didn't say anything.

She just turned around
and walked away.

So, I left and pretty much
immediately following that,

that's when
all hell broke loose.

That chilling
meeting set off a series of events

that's led JB
to believe he's been cursed.

Everything started
fallin' apart

like legal troubles, divorce,
custody battles.

And then to add
on top of that,

it was like
I was seeing things.

I was hearing things
that I never did before.

And you know, I just...
I brushed it off.

But after years
of too many unexplained incidents,

he can no longer
just brush it off.

So, he decides to document it
on camera.

Case in point.

One night, JB hears the shower
turn on his bathroom.

Oh, what the?

So, he goes
to check it out.

Now, watch,

as the shower curtain...

...begins to pull back.

And the door...

...closes.

It scared the hell out of me.

And set the tone
for what was to come really.

And what's to come
is so much worse.

One night,

his dog seems to be
bothered by something in the basement.

What's the matter, buddy?

When JB goes
downstairs to investigate,

he hears giggling,

and comes face to face
with something terrifying.

Oh...

What the?

Watch again

as a shadow figure
stands by the far wall.

I really don't know
how to explain that.

Um, it's one thing
to hear something.

Um, it's incredibly troubling
at that point.

There is a longstanding
tradition in folklore

of ghosts that are trying
to lure people to bad ends

by mimicking
the sound of crying, or of children's' laughter

I don't.

Anything that gets someone

to go somewhere where they are
one, vulnerable,

and two, where they
wouldn't normally go.

That's not a good sign,

when something is trying
to get you to go to those spaces.

And unfortunately for JB,

that shadow figure...

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

...appears more
than once.

I give the guy credit
for sticking it out as long as he did,

because, uh, this entity
seems to be toying with him.

But perhaps
the most disturbing event

takes place one night
when JB is watching TV,

and here's what
sounds like silverware,

- falling on the floor in the kitchen.

I had heard a noise.

It's not uncommon
to see things out of place.

So, I picked 'em up,
threw them in the sink.

Damn it. That's a bit odd.

I walked back to the couch
thinking, "All right, yeah, whatever,"

and then when I sat down,

oh, hell, no.

Did you catch that?

Watch

as a dark figure

moves behind JB

in the reflection on the TV.

It was right behind me,

and it wasn't there before.

And I jumped over the couch

to try to, like,
see if somebody was screwing with me

and there was genuinely
no one there.

This is something straight out
of a horror movie.

Just in watching this clip,
I felt something's gotta be done.

But what
and does this haunting have anything to do

with his trip to New Orleans?

Voodoo is not
to be messed with.

This is definitely a system
of religious practice and belief

that you wanna take seriously.

This is
something that I think needs some professional help,

whether it's employing
a priest to come and bless the home,

or to bring other people
to help clear this.

I think this is something
that he should not be trying to tackle on his own.

JB agrees.

There is no way in hell
I am ever gonna sit down

and try to communicate
with this thing.

Uh, the last thing on my mind
is trying to talk to it

in fear of if it answered,

I'd probably die
of a heart attack, to be honest with you.

In the meantime,
JB is finding ways to deal with it.

But realizes it's not
something he'll ever

be comfortable with.

It can be a surprise,
what you can get used to in life.

But when you're seeing things
that you see in movies,

makes me regret
going down this road.

Coming up,
a mysterious ghost appears through a window.

ones who have passed away

were able to come back
and visit in spectral form,

Would seeing them one more
time bring you comfort?

Especially if they pop in

who captured something
so surreal,

you may think twice about
wanting an unexpected visitor

As an eerie, glowing figure,

glides slowly past the window
in the background.

To give
a better perspective,

Beto films his house from
the outside during the day.

To show exactly where
the apparition appeared

on the balcony above.

I think we can all relate
to having an uninvited guest at a birthday party.

But this?
This is next level.

I was blown
away by this capture.

The fact that he runs outside
and we see that there's no one around

and this being
just disappears.

You're really left with only
one answer to what this could be

and to me it's a ghost.

I wrote one word in my notes
when watching this clip.

And that word is "real".

This is real.

This was just
so unintentional,

so solid.

I mean even if that figure
that walks past the kitchen,

were a person at that party,
they would have seen him.

The minute they came
around that corner.

It was quick but it was clear

and it looked like
an apparition of a person

passing through that space,
clear as day.

I love clips like this,

because they're not
active investigation.

This is just a tiny slice
of life that happened

to infringe upon paranormal
realms and we get to see it.

This video isn't about
capturing evidence,

it's about, "Okay,
we're having a party, we're having a good time.

Who the hell is that?"

That's a question
Beto has been trying to answer

ever since.

And in fact,
over the years,

Beto and his family
have sensed his grandfather's presence.

It is intriguing
Beto's grandfather did live at this house.

That would suggest that
he had a deep, personal connection to the location.

So it would make sense
to me that

perhaps he wants to stick
around in some form.

Maybe even check in
on his grandson.

For me it seems more
like a place memory or a residual type of haunting.

His grandfather moved about
that house for who knows how many years.

Uh, that energy could
be imprinted at that location.

And maybe the energy
of the birthday party

triggered that energy
to be released

and they perceived
his grandfather.

Regardless
of who it was,

Even though
it's been a decade since he captured that

ghostly figure
on that balcony.

the terrifying possibility

Which is what might
have happened to one man in Milwaukee

who failed to heed
the warning signs.

When Phil Koch and his wife
first moved in to the townhouse 32 years ago,

they knew it would be
the ideal place to raise a family.

But their new home
was right next to a dilapidated farmhouse

built in the 1800's.

Which gave them the creeps.

My name is Phil
and these are my videos.

There was somebody
living there

but it's been abandoned
for a good 15 plus years.

Since it was abandoned
for a long period of time,

I went up a few times
here and there just to check and make sure

nobody was up there
who shouldn't have been.

He finds nothing.

But he's still suspicious.

So one night in 2011,

he brings a camera to the barn
and leaves it running

to see if he can catch
anyone in the act.

I'm gonna let this run
for about an hour.

And, uh,

see if anything happens.

I was concerned that
kids were getting in there at night.

It was basically more of
a defensive measure I was taking.

About
an hour later,

Phil returns to the barn
to retrieve his camera.

Coming to get you.

When I came back home,
I walked back down the driveway,

I gave the video camera
to my daughter and said,

"Here watch this,
see if anything happens on this tape."

Now she was like 13,
she was like, Oh, okay!"

And she comes running
down the stairs yelling,

"Mom! Dad! Come look!
Quick!"

So Phil watches
the footage

and at around
the 35 minute mark

sees this.

We looked at it and I said,

"Well." I said, "Okay."

"That could have just shifted.
Maybe an animal did it."

But moments later...

Watch again.

As the chair seems
to be pulled down forcefully

by something below it.

My wife and I were
just like...

And it left me--
it left me kind of scared.

'Cause
I couldn't...

you know,
couldn't explain it.

At first I thought maybe
it was just settling

as it is on top
of these other objects.

But it looks like
it's pretty stable,

so when it wiggles,
not once but twice.

That's quite odd.

This isn't something where
like, a gust of wind

or a you know, gentle tremor's
gonna knock it down from where it was.

It took some force to get that
thing knocked down.

Freaked out,

but too curious to let it go,

Phil and his daughter returned
the next morning.

Only to make another
frightening discovery.

- Wasn't it tipped over?
- Yeah.

And now it's back up.

The chair was back
in an upright position which

would have
seemed impossible.

If one or two things move,

that alone is to me
is not enough to deem a haunting.

What makes
it possibly paranormal

is when something
unexplainable happens on top of that.

So this rocking chair
moves position

and when they go check on it,
it is right back to where it was.

So that is something that
is a lot harder to explain

than just gravity.

Now,
Phil is very eager to figure out what is going on.

So he eventually goes back
to the farmhouse,

this time alone.

I should know better
than to come back here.

I took the video camera
and I put it through the open window, through the curtains.

Anybody in here?

Hello?

Anybody at home?

Anybody--

The clock falls
right towards me.

Got very aggressive.

It could have fallen
any which way.

But it fell right towards
the direction that I was,

you know standing
on the other side of the door.

I think it was actually
telling me to leave.

Anybody--

Watching the clock fall
in this video is really eerie.

Because you can almost see
that it starts to move

before he even
notices it falling.

Anybody--

It didn't just get
knocked and fall.

it seemed like it was trying
to jockey for position

to get close to him before
gravity took over

and that was unusual.

The clock incident
thoroughly freaks Phil out

and he wants nothing to do
with whatever is in the house.

But unfortunately for him,

whatever's in the house

doesn't seem to be done
with Phil just yet.

Phil believes
it follows him home

and torments him.

Every night at two,
three in the morning.

we would hear footsteps right
outside the door.

Back and forth,
someone's pacing outside our door.

And right when
I heard it walking, I'd open up the door,

and there'd be nothing there.

And it gets
even worse.

Phil believes it physically
attacks him.

But the second time
in the shower when I got scratched in the side

and literally I watched
it welt up in front of me.

Having any sort
of paranormal activity while you are showering

means there's no rules.

It will, attack you
whenever it feels like.

My wife got mad, and
she says, "You're done."

And I said, "Okay."

Happy wife, happy life
and no more ghosts.

Luckily for Phil,
once he stops investigating

the farmhouse for good,

the mysterious scratches,
stop appearing.

And even though,
he was apparently

able to get rid of whatever
followed him home,

Phil is still haunted,
by the memories.

I always try to believe
through evidence

that paranormal is
actually real.

And over the period of,
not too many years

I found that it was real
and I kinda wish I didn't go through all that.

An investigator in Russia...

Gets locked inside

with a ghost.

An abandoned house.

Witchcraft.

Death by hanging.

Just one of these

is enough to make a location
ripe for a haunting.

But all three?

Well, that's essentially,
a guarantee.

Just ask a man in Russia,

who wound up in this
exact scenario.

And it left him running

for his life.

Summer 2020,
Pegrema, Russia.

Paranormal investigator,
Tim Morozov

has just arrived at an
abandoned village

where some of the buildings,
date back to the 18th century.

He was contacted by
two people

who heard strange noises
coming from one of the houses

and saw a dark shadow
figure in the fog.

Legend has it, that a woman
who practiced witchcraft

used to live in the house,

until she lost her life to
suicide by hanging herself.

Tim's here to spend the night
and gather some evidence.

He sets up cameras around the
house along with laser grids

to map the area,
and infrared flashlights.

Then, gets to work.

He's not
picking up much activity,

So he goes to bed, and
keeps the cameras rolling

hoping to catch something
while he's asleep.

Sure enough,
just a few minutes later,

his polaroid camera
just went off by itself.

Or did it?

He's in the house
all by himself It's abandoned

but someone had to
push that button.

And it's not an easy button to
push, so whatever did it

clearly wanted him
to know, "I'm here."

And whatever is
here, is just getting started.

A door handle
in the next room

is moving on its own.

But it gets even creepier.

Watch, as the same door

when seen from the camera
that captures the laser grid

shows a silhouette,
reaching out for the handle, as it moves.

This door handle
footage is riveting

because we are seeing
the handle physically being rattled.

And then in another shot,
what appears to be

a Spectro form or shadow
that is hunched over

and looks like they are
actually interacting with that handle.

Taken together,

this is pretty incredible.

Tim is freaked out.

Because this house has
suddenly come to life.

Watch what happens as he
walks back into the bedroom.

The door behind him,
has slammed shut

locking him in.

Panicked, he does the
only thing he can

and jumps out the window.

But despite being
terrified by the experience,

Tim's curiosity
overpowers his fear

and he goes back a week later

and tries to pick up
where he left off.

A sound from
the next room.

As he walks over
to check it out,

look closely at the
shadows on the wall.

The one that remains,
does not belong to Tim.

This investigator seems to think that he's there to

surveil whatever spirit
might be inhabiting this place

but to me it seems like,
he's the one under surveillance.

Tim doesn't see
the shadow at the time

but he does see this.

A noose by the bed.

And...

...what seems like a figure
behind the curtain.

Which turns out to be

no one.

Then, a few minutes later

a chair has tipped over.

and above it, the noose

is now swinging.

We are being told
a story there.

That to me suggests
that there is a presence here

that presence is intelligent.

That presence wants
people to know,

"Here's what happened."

Tim comes
to that same conclusion

When he wraps up
his investigation, he is convinced

that the house is haunted
by the woman who died here.

And possibly some others.

Now this woman was in fact practicing witchcraft.

She might have invited
other entities

to live within her space.

Maybe if she opened up
a portal, trapped these energies within her home

and now she haunts
the space with the energies that she brought

forth through her magic.

Whatever is
happening here,

the spirits do not
rest in peace.

a mysterious light show in the sky.

only be one thing.

It's just before midnight,

Jerel Crew and his wife have
just wrapped up an evening

of entertaining friends

When Jerel...

...gets an unexpected call.

My name is Jerel and
this is my video.

I got a phone call from my
brother telling me, hey,

my nephew, who lived down
the street from us

was seeing some things
in the sky that he could not identify.

Jerel heads to his
back porch to investigate.

And what he sees
blows his mind.

A single glowing ball,
flying across the sky.

At that point, I grabbed
my wife, we ran to the front of the house, outside

to see what was going on,

and there it was in the air.

What is it?

But now, there are two.

What is it? What is it?

What you really couldn't see
from the video was the actual color of these guys.

They were like a,
more of a orange color

as they were going
across the sky.

It was just like,
what am I seeing here?

This is unbelievable.

And it's about
to get even more so.

There's
another one, look.

What is it? What is it?

There's another
one coming

Three lights are now fully visible in the sky.

And then I started to feel
like, okay, everything that I thought is true.

I know we're not the only ones
in this vast galaxy.

I've had this
experience several times, seeing exactly

what they've seen
and it mystifies me every single time.

There is definitely
intelligence behind these things.

Babe. Babe, come look.

I grab my neighbors to look
at this thing so everyone

could see what I was
talking about.

Are they, the...
um, what you call them?

Jerel, that thing
that you fly.

No!

It was not a drone,
it was not a plane,

it was not a hot air balloon.

It was something from
another place.

Unidentified flying objects.

One, two, three of 'em.

We don't know
everything that is in our aerospace.

Most of it we can
attribute to commercial flights, military flights,

things that are just
natural, weather balloons, satellites, launches...

There's a subset of things
in the sky that we just can't

easily and readily identify
and when more than one person

sees it and is baffled by it,

that makes you second guess,
okay, well, what is it?

Then, incredibly,

the first two objects,
seem to disappear

one right after the other.

Oh, my God!

It was like they were hyper...
travelling to another space

When they, once they reached
their particular part of the sky, they just

boom. It actually came
to that spot and it was like, boom.

- Where's your other one?
- Just watch.

Nothing that I know of can multiply or disappear like

what we see in this clip.

I don't know if it's multiple
lights on a larger object

and that object is turning
which is why these lights look

like they're dimming
and going out.

But they're certainly
multiple lights coming in and out of view.

Videos like this are just proving that there's more

things being seen in the sky.

Maybe this is a sign that,
uh, if there is alien life out there

maybe they are ready to make
some kind of contact with us.

Whatever was
captured on camera that night is still up for debate

but not for Jerel.

I am absolutely, one hundred
percent a believer now.

I felt like, I felt so
special that night that

I was afforded this
opportunity to see what I saw in the sky.

And I can tell you again,
over and over again that this was not from here.

It was something from
another galaxy.

A little girl climbs into a
cupboard and encounters

a ghoulish creature.

There's a
mythical creature from Hispanic folklore

whose name derives
fromduen de casa

or master of the house.

It's called, the Duende.

These elf-like creatures are
said to dwell in tight spaces

such as, inside the
walls of houses,

particularly in the
bedrooms of children.

And they're believed

to cause some very
serious mischief.

But, are they real?

Recently, a family in Mexico
might have captured proof

that they are.

October 2019,
Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.

A toddler named Maria Jose is
playing in her favorite spot

the kitchen cabinet.

She's been obsessed with it
since her family moved

into this house,
two months ago.

Maria's father, Oscar, films
her as she's in the cabinet.

As Maria's aunt, Jessica
Ramirez stands nearby.

I am Jessica Ramirez
and this is our video.

Oscar posts the
video on social media

to share with family
and friends.

Soon after, one of their
cousins, points out something disturbing.

Watch closely.

Did you catch that?

Watch again, in slow motion

as a pale, spindly hand,
quickly pops into frame

then, scurries back
into the cabinet.

Whenever you see
a child playing and somehow there is

some sort of menacing
or supernatural presence

you know, you really feel
for them because they're

so vulnerable

and in this case even more so
because the child has itself wedged into this

cabinet and it's not like
it can run away

if something is
in there with it.

It appears to have at least
two fingers and it

darts into the frame and
back out just as quickly.

It certainly isn't a
part of the girl herself.

But what is it?

It just doesn't
look like a regular human being.

It is really small and it's
just creepy to think

that there was
something right next to that little girl.

So, if it's not
a human hand,

then what is it?

And, could it explain
Maria's obsession

with wanting to play
inside that cabinet?

I think we kind of
get an idea as to why she is so obsessed

with playing around there and
it's probably because there's

a little spirit energy that
she probably thinks is an imaginary friend

but in reality is a
little spiritual friend.

My mind does not go
to ghosts here.

Instead I'm thinking, duende.

Now these are elves or
gnome like creatures

in Mexico, in Latin America
that are said to either

hang out in forests or
sometimes they dwell

within the walls of homes.

In some stories, they are
said to enchant children

and lead them back
into the forest.

But in other tales, they're
trying to be helpful.

They might even clip
the toe nails of children as they sleep.

Except, sometimes they
take off the entire toe.

Terrifying.

Worried that whatever
the hand belongs to

could have evil intentions,

the family has a priest
come by to bless the house.

And it works.

Then, after a few
months of still trying to figure out what the hand was

the family decides,
it's best to let it go.

Whatever that
strange hand actually belongs to, remains a mystery.

But the episode served to
reinforce the family's belief

in the afterlife.

What should you
do in the event you witness something paranormal?

Here's some tips to get it
all on camera.

really is other worldly.

Check your footage for
anything unusual.
