It just didn't
feel right.

It didn't feel normal to me.

A ghost reaches out

and touches
an investigator in Wales.

When I first saw
this hand stroking my face,

I was like, "Oh my God,
I gotta watch it again.

I gotta watch it again."

A shadow
figure strikes fear... -

...in a college student
in Pennsylvania.

Oh my God!

I just remember
feeling the color

just draining from my face.

And even
more paranormal footage

you have to see to believe.

Theaters
are notoriously haunted.

The Pasadena Playhouse in
California is no exception.

It was established in 1917
by Gilmor Brown

and was the only theater
in California

to have survived
the Depression.

Needless to say,
many souls have passed

through this building,

and it's now believed
to be haunted by Gilmor

and any number
of other spirits

who have decided
to make the Playhouse

their final resting place.

Like this one, hanging
out in the stage window.

Pasadena, California.

Bailey Burcham
is the caretaker

of The Pasadena Playhouse
and often works at night.

Alone.

When he was hired
in January, 2020,

Bailey was warned
that he might encounter

some unexplained things
inside the theater.

And sure enough,
it's not long

before he starts hearing
disembodied singing.

Whistling.

And clapping.

And feels as though
he's not alone.

So, he decides to try to
capture some of the activity

on camera to share
with others on social media.

August 13, 2020.

Bailey hears some music
coming from the main stage,

so he goes to check it out.

All right, guys,
I work at this old theater

and I've been hearing
a noise.

There's not supposed
to be anybody here,

so I'm just double-checking,

but I wanted to film it
just in case.

My name is Bailey
and these are my videos.

I go into the main stage
and the music

isn't playing anymore.
And as I was walking through,

I heard in... It's actually
called a "Juliet window."

You'd put an actress up there
to maybe do a monologue

or a song or something.

And when I looked up there, it
looked like a curtain moved.

And you can't really see it in
the video, that happening,

but I'm sort of like,
"Oh, what's going on?

Let me get a better look."

What the?

What is that?

Did you see it?
Watch again.

As a face can be seen looking
out from the window.

I look up
and all I saw was the face.

And I think I used
an expletive and just ran.

This figure in the balcony
is incredibly striking

because even though
it is shrouded by shadow,

there's definition to it
and it looks tangible,

as if an audience member
is just up there

waiting for the curtain to
rise and the show to begin.

Another night,
Bailey goes to check on

the theater after a fire
alarm is triggered.

Hi, guys.
So, I'm here late at night

checking in on this place.

Got here.
There wasn't anybody here,

but I just heard the piano
in the small space,

so I think there might be
somebody there.

I went in
and a door was open.

And I was like,
"That's not good."

So, I started kind
of searching the space.

Someone in here? Hello?

The theater's piano
just played on its own.

Who is it?

And the ghost light
shuts off on its own.

And then I hear
the piano in the dark.

That was another time where
I was like, "I don't care.

That's scary.
I don't like it."

We know that spirits
are drawn to things

that can be manipulated
and are likely to get noticed.

A piano is really perfect

because what does
a piano have?

88 keys.

And those keys don't take
too much effort to press down

and there's a lot
of reward there

because it's gonna make
a really noticeable noise,

especially in a wide-open
and empty theater.

But perhaps
the creepiest capture

happens when Bailey
is doing a virtual tour

of the theater for
his viewers on social media.

Hey, so I'm here
in the empty theater.

It's backstage. Can't see it
very well, but...

Holy!

Did you see that?

Watch again.

As a shadowed figure
seems to peek out

from around the corner.

I get chills
when I think about it

because it makes me
start thinking like,

"Oh, I'm being watched."

My immediate thought
was that perhaps

this is the ghost
of a performer

that's taking a look
around the curtain

to see how the crowd
looks tonight.

Could be.

But what about all
the other occurrences?

Is it just one?
Or could there be many?

I think the space
is inhabited by the spirits

of people who loved and lived
in theater in this place.

I've always felt like
I'm sort of being watched in,

like, a good way,
like they're taking care

of me or something.

It just so happens
that sometimes

they take human form
and that gets scary.

And despite being
frequently freaked out,

Bailey wouldn't have it
any other way.

I just love
that I get to be the person

taking care
of this sacred space,

because it is a sacred space
for a lot of us artists.

And probably for the spirits,
if they are there, right?

So I feel responsibility
for this place.

I feel a deep love
for this space

and anything inhabiting it.

A drive through Death Valley
turns terrifying.

Dude, what is this?
What am I witnessing here?

Death Valley.

This vast, dry desert is
the hottest place on Earth.

And got its name
after prospectors died

trying to cross it
during the gold rush of 1848.

But besides
its brutal history,

high temps and harsh terrain,

could there be something else
to fear in Death Valley?

That seemed to be
the case when two friends

driving through
it spotted something

they likely
weren't supposed to see.

Dude, what is this?
What am I witnessing here?

April, 2020.

Death Valley, California.

Steven Shinn
and his friend Joey McCormack

are driving from Las Vegas
to Los Angeles.

They decide to pull over
on the side of the road

to stretch their legs
and take in the scenery.

Then, as the sun is setting,

something in the sky
catches their attention.

It's a large, bright light

hovering just above
a mountain,

and they're stunned.

We're in Death Valley
right now, okay?

The sun just went down.
And we saw this light...

I'm speechless right now.

My name is Steven
and this is my video.

There it is.
It's right there.

It's right there.
There it is. It's on camera.

I looked over.
I saw this light

and I said, "What is that?"

And that's when it
starts pulling apart.

And I was like, "This
is not normal. This is crazy."

This light keeps
going up and down.

It keeps splitting
into multiple lights.

It was one big light.

One very bright light
and it split.

And then when that split,
the bottom split.

It split into like two,
then it split into like four.

Dude, what is this?
What is this, dude?

The other one
just disappeared. What am I witnessing here?

It just didn't feel right.
It didn't feel normal to me.

Even more odd

is what happens
15 minutes later.

They lined up
perfectly in a row.

And then a red light came
from all the way over

to the left side of our screen

and went across
all the white ones,

which was really weird 'cause
that one came out of nowhere,

that wasn't even part
of the original lights.

Dude, can you guys see this?

Steven and
Joey drive up the road

a bit farther.

And then, something happens
off-camera that is terrifying.

You couldn't
see it in the video,

but from the naked eye,
you could see this light

was coming at us
across the desert.

We were just like,
"Let's get out of here."

But Steven and
Joey don't get off that easy.

Because, whatever it is,
appears to be following them.

I don't know if I disrupted
something or...

but it started coming towards
us, the original light,

and it was really scary
actually at the time.

Dude, this is not normal.

Whatever this is,
it's not normal.

I wanted to leave,
but I couldn't look away,

like, I wanted to get it
on camera.

It's right there,
still coming towards us.

That one's over there.
One's there. But what's that?

That's the question.
What is that?

Yes, exactly.
What is that?

At first it seems
like we're looking

at a singular light,

but then multiple other
objects break off from that,

and then later maneuver
around one another.

There is certainly some sort
of intelligence at play here

and this is not a naturally
occurring phenomenon.

They're sort
of changing color

and changing alignment.

And then, at one point,
they actually get

into a completely
straight line

that's horizontal
to the landscape.

This seems to be
a coordinated effort

as if there's some sort
of intelligence behind them.

Dude,
this is not normal.

Whatever it is, seems to be
something not of this earth.

If these UFOS are,
in fact, not of this earth,

what are they doing?

It's almost as if
they might be searching

for something.

They seem to be covering
a lot of ground

and it almost seems like,
whatever these things are,

they noticed the guys filming
and kinda headed that way.

It's right there.
Still coming towards us.

If this is alien
activity, you know,

who's to say what
they could be doing?

They might be doing
something as simple

as exactly what Steven
and his friend are doing,

watching them, and trying
to learn from them,

and making a video of them,
and going to their friends,

"Look how cool these
crazy things we caught."

Whatever
these objects are up to,

Steven and Joey don't stick
around long enough

to get an answer.

I can't really
blame them, because,

I mean, when you consider
what the possibilities are,

the best case scenario
is maybe they've stumbled upon

this military experiment
that's going on

and they're gonna
get arrested.

The worst case scenario
is this is an extraterrestrial

that's gonna beam them up
and probe them.

Whatever
they stumbled upon that night

in Death Valley
remains a mystery.

But Steven is hoping
to one day find out.

It definitely may
be more of a believer

than what I was before.

I mean, I've always
seen videos of UFOs,

I always said they might be
real, they might be fake.

I never experienced it.

I definitely think there's
something there, though.

We saw it. I mean...

You can believe what you want.

You can think it's not real.
I think it was a UFO.

Whatever this is,
it's not normal.

Finding
a short-term rental

is a great way
to buy some time

when you have to find
a new place to live

on very short notice.

But be careful, because even
though you may have found

what seems like the perfect
temporary living situation,

there could be some who
might not like it so much.

Specifically, the ghosts
who haunt the home.

That's what seemed to happen
to a college student

in Pennsylvania.

When her dream sublet,
quickly...

Daisy.
Honey, what's down there?

...turned into a nightmare.

Oh my God!

It's March, 2020.

In California, Pennsylvania.

College student
Kimberly Rhoades

has to find an off-campus
apartment to live in quickly.

So, when one
of her professors

says that she can rent
her place while she looks,

it's an offer she and
her dog Daisy can't refuse.

Come on.

But as soon as she moves in,

something feels off.

My name is Kimberly Rhoades

and I live in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.

I did feel something
immediately whenever I moved in.

It was just a very heavy,
weird kind of vibe.

Not a pleasant one.

She was able
to ignore the weird vibe

at first,

but then, strange,
unexplained activity

begins to happen.

I would hear footsteps
on the steps all the time.

All the time.

We did take into account
that it was an old house.

It could be settling,
you know,

but this was,
like, different.

I felt uneasy all the time.

I felt like I was constantly
looking over my shoulder.

One night before bed,

Kimberly hears some noises
coming from downstairs.

So, she grabs her phone and
goes to find out what it is.

Daisy is also
down there right now

and there's no way she can
make that knocking sound.

Oh my Gosh. Okay. Okay.

Daisy.
Honey, what's down there?

Oh my God. I don't see it.

Oh my God!

Did you catch that?

Watch again
as a menacing, dark figure

stands at the bottom of
the stairs, then steps away.

Oh my God.

It took me a second
for my eyes to adjust,

and then once I did,
and then I saw it move, I was just like...

I just remember feeling
the color just draining

from my face. I was just like,

"I did not
just experience that."

What I saw
at the bottom of the stairs

was so very obviously
a torso and legs.

And at first, I couldn't
really make it out

until it moved out of frame.

I'm in the living room
right now.

I'm in the living room

Daisy, stop.
It's okay. It's okay.

I actually think
it's even creepier

that she captured
the shadow very casually

walking around her house.

To me, it almost feels
like a display of power.

It's saying, "Look,
I don't care whether or not

you're looking at me, filming
me, whatever you're doing.

This is my home and I'm
just going about my day."

Whatever you are,
you need to leave now. Now!

But whatever it is,

doesn't obey
Kimberly's command.

Because
just a short while later...

I was making
macaroni and cheese,

and so I got this block cheese
out and I started cutting it.

I turned around
for one second, okay?

To go to the sink. I turned
back around and it's gone.

The cheese vanished.
Literally.

And Daisy didn't take it.

I didn't do it, didn't drop
it, I would've heard it.

It's an eight ounce
brick of cheese,

I would've heard it
drop, okay?

Apports and asports.

These are when things
appear and disappear

allegedly through
spirit interaction.

Now, when something is
an asport, it is taken away.

And it's either materialized

or dematerialized
from one point to another.

Sometimes these things
reportedly never reappear.

But this time,
it does reappear.

A week later.

I'm doing dishes
and putting stuff away.

I open a drawer
and it's right there.

What do I see sitting
right on top?

This open,
molded block of cheese.

I'd looked in that same drawer

and I'd been in that drawer
from the time

that that had happened
and it wasn't there.

It's just, like, now this
energy is messing with her.

It's playing with her.

It's trying to frustrate her.

And I mean, it's kind of like

a bully-big-brother-type
energy.

I must admit,
this might be the first time

I've heard of a haunting
involving cheese.

Whatever this cheddar
stealing ghost is up to,

he's pretty sharp.

Kimberly
has no idea who

or what the entity was.

Or why it seemed
to be messing with her

during her stay and
neither does her professor.

I told her some things
that are happening,

and she was just like,
"Oh, okay."

She's like, "That's weird."
And I was like, "Yeah."

She and Daisy
ended up finding a place

of their own soon after
the cheese incident.

And as terrifying as it was...

...she's grateful
for the experience.

It was very just surreal.

And what's weird is
I strangely miss that place.

And I'm very thankful
to my professor

for letting me stay there
for the time being.

It was definitely
an experience

that I will forever
take with me

and I will never forget and
I will probably tell my kids.

captures images

of the Loch Ness monster.

Usually,
when you see footage

of a cryptid in the wild,

it is short, shaky and
a little hard to make out,

which is
of course understandable.

Most of these videos
are captured by people

who are taken by surprise,

and overwhelmed with fear
and adrenaline.

So, wouldn't it be great if
someone set up a fixed camera

in a certain hotspot
that shot 24/7

and streamed
around the world,

so that anyone, anywhere,

could take a look and make
that once-in-a-lifetime

sighting from the comfort
of their own home?

Well, thanks to one man
in Scotland, they can,

and it just so happens

to be in one
of the most cryptid hotspots

in the world.

Loch Ness.

Highlands of Scotland.

Computer programmer
and Loch Ness researcher,

Mikko Takala,

has had a fascination
with the mythical monster

known as Nessie ever since
he was a small child.

And that fascination paid off

when he finally managed
to spot the cryptid in 2003.

I'm Mikko Takala and
I'm from Loch Ness, Scotland.

I saw this thing
out in the water.

I'm completely on my own
and I just stood watching it

for about 15 minutes, slowly
swimming against the current.

And I've never forgotten it.

It was really
the most spectacular thing,

and that completely
confirmed for me

that there's something
out there

that people
haven't explained yet.

But years before
he saw it with his own eyes,

Mikko was already doing
everything in his power

to enable others to try
to catch a glimpse of Nessie.

In 1994,
he set up one of the world's

very first webcams
on his friend's property

with a panoramic view
of Loch Ness,

which has been running
continuously

for nearly 30 years.

Enthusiasts
from around the globe

can keep a keen eye out
for any signs

of the prehistoric beast
lurking on the live feed.

And suffice it to say,

there have been some
compelling sightings,

especially recently.

March 17, 2021.

Kalynn Wangle from Oregon

spots something
on Mikko's webcam.

Watch as a large, dark shape

breaks the surface
of the water.

Then, slowly makes
its way away from shore.

Within two minutes it
disappears behind the tree

and is gone.

I think it's fairly clear that

it's not just an upturned
boat or something.

It seems to have
a couple of distinctive

characteristics about it.

It doesn't look like
anything that we could say,

"That is a deer
or that is a seal."

It's definitely something
that we can't quite explain.

The fact that it
moves the way that it does,

it definitely suggests
that there is a large mass

underneath
the surface of the water.

If it's not
the Loch Ness monster,

I don't know what it is
because I can't imagine

that there is any aquatic
life in that loch

big enough to disturb the
lake the way this thing is.

It kinda fades out
and it makes its way

behind a tree.

And that's where
it gets interesting,

you don't see it come out
from behind that tree.

It's almost as if it surfaced
below and simply swam away.

I know we love it
when we get amazing shots

of a potential Loch Ness
monster with a long,

serpentine neck
rising up out of the water.

But there's something
to be said

for the quiet mundanity
of just a dark shape

moving under the surface
of the water.

It doesn't need to be big,
over-the-top evidence

for it to be really,
really compelling.

Another recent appearance

was spotted by
Eoin O'Faodhagain from Donegal, Ireland,

on January, 22nd, 2021,

and seems to suggest something
even more mind-blowing.

Watch closely
as two large dark objects

about a hundred feet apart
from each other

seem to be splashing around.

Then, the right object
submerges beneath the water,

and the one on the left
almost playfully

does the same.

This incredible activity
continues back and forth

for three minutes.

Could it be
that there are two?

If there are two creatures,

all sorts of possibilities
spring to mind.

Are they a breeding couple

or is it some other part
of a family?

And if there are two,
then certainly

why not three, four, five?

There's no reason for it
to be limited to two.

So it's quite exciting.

This really does
lead to the question of

are we talking about one,
long-lived lake monster

or are we talking
about a population

of water-based cryptids

that people have been
photographing

generations of over time?

Well, with reports
of 30,000 enthusiasts

tracking the site each month,

there's bound to be
even more evidence to come

that's difficult
to explain away.

I think people
want to believe

that there is something that
we don't fully understand.

And then I think
it's this whole notion

of a kind of mystery,
an unsolved mystery

of how ever much
science there is, of how clever people are,

there's still something
that is unexplained

and perhaps always will be,

although not for want of
trying, I can assure you.

haunted by a dark apparition.

There are many
who believe

that when we die
our spirits simply transition

to the afterlife.

But knowing how
to cross over isn't a given,

especially for those
who die unexpectedly.

Those souls can sometimes be
trapped between two worlds,

refusing to accept
their own demise.

Sometimes even sending
terrifying signals

to their
Earth-bound loved ones.

A man in Mexico might have
caught proof of this

after a close relative's
untimely death.

In San Diego, California.

Roberto Morales has just
received some terrible news.

His older brother, Javier,
who lived in Tijuana, Mexico,

had just taken his own life.

Roberto and his family are
understandably devastated.

My name is Roberto Morales
and this is my video.

About two months
after Javier is laid to rest,

Roberto is visiting
his family in Mexico

when something
truly bizarre happens.

And what happened was this.

Watch closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again

as a human-shaped
shadow-like figure

suddenly appears
in between the two vehicles.

This was really freaky.

We're seeing the trees,
we're seeing the trucks,

we're seeing the people,

and then there's this figure
that by all accounts

should look the same
as those things,

but it doesn't.

It's dark and shadowed
and passes by and then...

disappears.

Roberto
doesn't notice anything

out of the ordinary
at the time

until later that same day
when he watches the video.

And it gets even weirder.

When Roberto takes some
screenshots of the video,

and focuses in
on the shadow figure,

it seems to take on the
appearance of a human face.

If you look closely,
you can almost see

what appears to be eyes,
nose and a mouth,

with kind of like
a sad expression on the face.

It's extra
creepy for me to see

that type of image
multiple times

because it makes me feel
like that's how spirits

appear in photography.

Once Roberto gets
over his initial shock,

he's convinced
that this is no random

paranormal encounter.

This realization,
and an overall feeling

of bad energy,

lead the family to believe
that Javier's spirit

is not in fact at peace.

When a life
is taken too soon,

there seems to be an imprint,
and that soul, that spirit,

is almost locked in the place
where it was last.

Hoping to get
Javier to rest in peace,

the family calls
a priest to their home.

When people
decide to bring in

religious authorities
to a situation like this,

it's usually because
they feel the situation

is above
their pay grade somehow.

And whether dealing with it
takes the form of banishment,

or what we might
understand as exorcism,

or whether it takes
a gentler form of blessing

or guidance is really
dependent on the context,

and the emotions and attitudes
of the people involved.

And although
Roberto continues to grieve

the loss
of his older brother,

he's thankful that
he is finally at peace.

I think
whether you're a skeptic

or a believer,

everybody wants to feel like
there is some sort of proof

of an afterlife of spirits,

so when you have a video
as compelling as this,

it might turn some people
into believers.

will make it very clear

woman in the United Kingdom,

and after reviewing
her footage,

she discovered that
she'd accidentally

captured a terrifying
disembodied hand

stroking her face.

Natalie Benns
enters an abandoned

senior care facility

to embark
on an investigation.

Though not her first

paranormal investigation,

Natalie is relatively
new to the field.

My name is Natalie
and this is my video.

What we thought was,
with a nursing home,

because it was
elderly people,

um, mostly spending the last
days of their life there,

there was probably
going to be a high chance

that it would be haunted.

And sure enough,
just a short while

into the investigation,

Natalie spots something
that although subtle,

she feels could be evidence
of paranormal activity.

Natalie is
encouraged by the movement,

but unfortunately,

the investigation
doesn't offer up much else.

That is until she gets home.

I put the
video up on my channel.

I thought nothing of it.

And somebody else who is
a paranormal investigator

was analyzing it
and they said, "Oh my God."

They phoned me and
they sounded like...

"Natalie, Natalie."

And I said, "What?"
And he said...

So, Natalie
rewatches the moment

right before she saw
the hangers move,

when the camera is pointing
towards a glass pane

on the floor.

Watch closely.

Zoomed in and in slow motion.

Did you see it?

Watch again.

First, a ghostly face
can be seen for an instant.

Then, when Natalie's
reflection appears,

we see a hand
that doesn't belong to her

seemingly stroking her face.

That was really, really freaky

because we get a clear image
of her reflection.

She clearly does not know
what's happening.

And there's just
very obviously a large,

dark hand,
clearly not her own,

that just is attempting
to sort of stroke her face.

Is this spirit reaching out
to this person in affection?

Is it reaching out to her

to do something more
nefarious to her?

Is it trying to grab her?

We don't know, but what
we can all agree upon

is that there's something
in this picture.

There's something
there with her.

There's something
there, all right.

And Natalie has her own
thoughts about its intentions.

It's almost like a caress.
It doesn't seem vicious.

Although, if you really look,
it looks like a hand

that kind of morphs
into a claw.

It doesn't
look like a human hand.

That's what's so creepy
about it.

Any time
someone you don't know

strokes your cheek,

that's really weird
and uncomfortable,

so even if this entity
had good intentions,

it's still just really
weird and creepy.

Definitely creepy.

Whatever this thing was, and
as disturbing as it seemed,

Natalie was thrilled
to have gotten it on camera.

And it only solidifies
her commitment

to doing more investigations
in the future.

It did have
an effect on me.

It made me even more
excited to discover

what else I can find
and catch on camera.

It's kind of like
a challenge now.

Can I beat that footage?

Trust that what you're seeing really is otherworldly.
