A man spots this

from his airplane
window seat.

It looks strange.
It looks beetle-shaped.

It looks like it's just
hovering there.

- What creature...
- Hey.

...is trapped
in this barn in Russia?

The sounds that are
coming from this barn

are unlike anything
I personally heard before.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

...to believe.

Life as a psychic medium

can be challenging,

because for many of them,

seeing dead people
is a regular occurrence,

especially if you decide
to spend your time

in certain
dead-friendly places,

like say a centuries old
graveyard.

Consider the story of one
medium in England

who livestreamed her visit
to a medieval graveyard

and caught the attention
of not just one,

but two curious ghosts.

June 2020,

in Wilmslow Cheshire, England,

Deborah Davies is
livestreaming her walk

through the graveyard
of a local church,

hoping to capture
any paranormal experience

that she might have
on camera

for her online followers.

Hi. My name is Deborah Davies,
and I filmed these videos.

The church where I was
actually filming

goes back to the 12th century

and it's known for being
quite haunted locally.

That, and the fact that Deborah is a psychic medium

means that she fully expects
to see some ghost today.

As a medium, I actually see
people who've gone

on a daily basis,

so seeing a ghost
isn't really unusual for me.

I'm a bit of a ghost magnet,

for some strange reason,
I just am.

On the one hand,
a medium is someone

with an exceptional level
of receptivity,

an ability to see
or to be the vessel

through which
something manifests.

But there's also a sense

that mediums are the people

to whom these presences
are also drawn.

So, it's not
simply an ability

to see what others
can't see.

It's an ability
to be seen as well,

to get the attention

of whatever it is
that might be out there.

And sure enough,

as Deborah is livestreaming
among the graves,

she and her camera

catch something peculiar
moving around.

Watch again, zoomed in,

as a figure runs behind
a few gravestones

in the distance.

As I walked around the church
and turned a corner,

something caught my eye,
and it was very small,

it was white,

and it kind of looked
as though this was

a little toddler running along
through the grave.

Without a doubt,
this looks like

a small humanlike form
that is ducking quickly

behind these gravestones.

You might miss it initially,

but once you see it,

you can't take
your eyes off it.

It looks to me
that we're seeing

almost this white glow
all the way through,

but you can see distinct
features of a head,

and a torso, a face,

almost as if it's wearing
some kind of a white gown

or a white shirt.

It immediately struck me

that this was
a very small child,

somebody that wasn't older
than two years old,

had to have been a toddler,

just because
of how tall it stood

against the gravestones.

I couldn't see
the detail of it

at the time.

It could have been a bird
crawling in at that moment,

but my followers, of course,
are absolutely just,

you know, they're there,
they're on it,

they're watching, and they
recognized straightaway

that this looked
like a child.

So, when I came home,
I reviewed it,

you know, went back
to the livestream

and had another look,
and yeah, wow,

you can see the legs actually
moving with this baby.

Two days after capturing

the childlike apparition,

Deborah returns
to the graveyard.

This is where she was seen

coming from around
over there, I think,

and she came through.

By then, obviously,
I realized

that I've accidentally caught
this baby, this toddler,

running through the graves,

and I wanted to see if there
was anything else there

that I could capture
or maybe catch the baby again.

And only minutes
into the investigation,

as Deborah speaks
to camera...

Let's turn this around.

Did you catch that?

Watch to the left
of Deborah's head,

as a figure moves
just off camera

in the distance.

One of the livestreams
that I was doing

just got cut short
for no reason whatsoever.

I then restarted
my livestream

and I stood there
shaking my head

with my followers,
like, why did that happen?

And again, they all
started saying,

"Debby, there's something
in the background.

It's an old man,
and he's moving."

And I missed it.
I haven't seen it.

I was too busy looking
at the comments.

But when I went back
and looked, there he was.

He was moving
right behind me.

It looks like
an old man to me.

It looks like he's wearing
some kind of jacket

and a lighter shirt.

And, uh, it even
looks like it turns

and looks at her
for a moment

as it's walking past.

I think
the old man goes back

to maybe in the 17th century,

really, or mid-17th century

looking at the way
he's dressed.

Could that long
history be one reason

why this particular
graveyard is so active?

It's really fascinating to think about one location

containing the dead
from several centuries.

Perhaps, all of those
energies combined

create layers of a potential
paranormal situation.

I think graveyards
could be haunted

whether they're 200-years-old
or, you know, fairly recent.

Maybe these people,
uh, you know,

just have never
got to the other side.

They've never seen
the light.

Or perhaps the setting,

whether an old reportedly
haunted graveyard

or the local grocery store,
doesn't even matter

when you're a psychic medium.

I can pretty much
go into any graveyards,

any cemetery,
or a hotel, or wherever,

and you can guarantee
there will be something

that happens or is seen
on camera.

People who are mediums

or have any type
of psychic abilities,

they're sort of like
a beacon for spirits.

Spirits can tell
if you are a person

who has a sixth sense.

And so, it's not necessarily
because she's in a graveyard

that these spirits occurred.

I think that spirits

probably just followed her
no matter what.

Which might sound
daunting for some,

but not for Deborah.

No, not at all.

I love it.
I absolutely love it.

It's my world.
It's my life.

I don't know any difference.

following several reports
of strange activity,

including some that involved
a spirit of a young girl,

paranormal investigators
Bex and Sean Reynolds,

and a few colleagues
have been invited

to the New Mills Art Theatre.

I'm Bex.

And I'm Sean.

And we filmed this video.

I just wanna speak
into this device.

We went to New Mills
Art Theatre,

because the owner
was quite worried

that some of the reports
backstage

when people were staying
there and performing,

they were being terrified

with some of the activity
that was happening.

There was shadowing people,

people who are actually
witnessing apparitions there as well.

Well, he was getting
so many reports

from the people that worked
there in the theatre

that he thought,
"I've got to do something."

Oh, I got goosebumps.

I rarely get goosebumps.

But as soon as we arrived,

we could feel there was
something weird in the air.

There was an energy
that we couldn't explain.

And whatever
that energy is,

seems to lead them

toward the back
dressing rooms.

As we went to the back,
there was some staircase

leading upstairs into
some of the dressing rooms,

where we heard some noise

coming up from the left-hand
dressing room

at the top of the stairs.

They followed the noise

all the way up
to the dressing room

and it is here
that they feel

they have the best chance
to make contact

with whatever is in
the theatre.

with the dolly.

Bex opens
the lines of communication

and this is when things

start to get
a little bizarre.

My ribs hurt.

- Your ribs hurt?
- Yeah.

Like, something is
just pushing your ribs?

My ribs hurt.

It felt like
I was gonna faint,

so I sat down and then, uh,
I held out the doll, I think.

And then that's
when it all happened.

Bex suddenly
seems to shut down...

...startling Sean.

Bex is
completely unresponsive.

Then, she appears
to become...

...a completely different... -

...and apparently
much younger person.

The team is freaked out

and call for the assistance
of another team member.

Enough. I said enough.

I feel like the majority of paranormal investigators

have been in this state before
where they get overcome

by an energy and lose
touch of themselves.

In a case like this, it could
be a very scary scenario

when you're not prepared

to share your human vessel
with another energy.

So, watching Bex
go under is just...

It's just very familiar
to me because it's a kind

of something that happens
to me a lot on investigations.

- What's the matter?
- Mommy.

It's not Bex.

Their colleague, Paul,

has now arrived to assist.

I feel like the fact

that this may be
a child spirit

is very relevant.

Just as we have children
who might play with an animal

and play too rough,
play too hard

because it doesn't know
its own strength.

Maybe that's the case here

and that when this
particular person died,

they are now in a state
of confusion.

I didn't know
who I was back then.

I didn't know Bex anymore.

Bex is gone.

At this point,
Shawn and Paul believed

that Bex may be possessed

by the spirit
of the little girl

who's been seen
around the theater.

And they fear they are
in danger of losing Bex.

So, they take
a more assertive approach.

There we go.
Hear me.

Push this person
away from you.

We need you back.

Come forward, Bex.

Push this little girl out.

Push this little girl out.

Come forward.
Come on, Bex.

Okay. Oh, oh, oh.

Are you okay?
Yeah, we got it.

- All right.
- It's over.

- Are you all right?
- What happened?

Don't know, but we need
to get you out of this room.

Yeah, let's get you out.

When she's sort
of being helped out

of this state of possession
towards the end...

- Hear me.
- ...the person who was talking to her is saying,

"You need to do it.
You need to push this child out,"

and all I could think was
like giving birth?

Like, get this child
out of your body,

only in this spiritual sense
rather than the, you know,

much more common
physical sense.

Come on, Bex.

Okay. Oh, oh, oh.

I felt tired.

I felt really drained,

and I felt like I needed
to sleep for a week,

that's the best
that I can put it.

So, was Bex possessed

by the spirit
of the young girl?

And if so, how?

When we hear
the word possessed,

you know, we all know
where our mind goes to.

We start thinking religious
and possessed by the devil,

but it seems that people
who have an ability...

Uh, a medium shift ability,

it seems that sometimes
they can allow themselves

to be taken over
by the spirit

of somebody who has
passed over.

It's unclear exactly who the little girl is.

Bex believes she knows why
she was the one...

...the little girl chose to possess.

I do believe
the little girl

came to me
because I'm a mother

and I think she could sense
that she wants to feel safe.

I think that's
what she was looking for.

Mummy?

Perhaps it is just
trying to reach out for help.

And when you look at it
that way,

it's quite sad
and very tragic.

Come on, Bex.

Whatever the reason for the sudden possession,

Shawn and Bex are totally
wiped out by the experience.

They leave the theater
soon after.

All I wanted to do that night
was just sit still

and just contemplate at what
had just happened to me?

It was a...
it was a bizarre feeling, definitely it was.

in Chile

spot what they
believe to be...

...a witch
flying on a broomstick.

It is perhaps
the most common trope

of the Halloween season.

A witch, dressed in all black

flying through the moonlit sky

on a broomstick.

But even for those who
believe

that real witches possessed
some kind of magical power,

the idea of them getting
around on a broomstick

is frankly absurd,
right?

Right?

September 2019,
in Santiago, Chile.

It's dusk,
and a man named Angel

is in his apartment
with his daughter

when they see something
out the window

that freaks them both out.

It's a figure,
all black,

floating through
the evening sky

on what looks like
a stick.

Angel's daughter
takes a guess

as to what or who
it could be.

But to Angel,
this isn't Santa Claus.

This is something
far more unsettling.

A witch
on a broomstick.

Unquestionably,
this looks like a figure

flying across the sky
on a broom.

It takes me right back
to childhood

with an image
off of the front of a Halloween card.

We could not ask
for a more classic depiction

of witch flying
through the sky

than sort of a clothed
figure hunched over

sitting on a broomstick.

This is one of those ones
that's almost so obvious

that you a little bit
forget that that's like

an incredibly weird,
rare thing to see

because it's just
so clearly what it is.

Chile is very mountainous,

and we're probably
already seeing people

viewing this witch
at a high altitude,

and then to see it
even higher than that,

this could be
at the same altitude

that some aircraft
would fly at.

And to see this
in the sky

is very unusual.

As I'm watching
this footage,

I can't help but think
that this, uh, figure

looks really similar
to another clip

that we featured
here on the show

several seasons back.

And that was the witch
in Monterrey, Mexico.

Now, if you remember,
this was another

humanoid creature
that appeared to be

possibly sitting on
a broomstick

floating over a set
of, uh, cliffs and canyons

silhouetted by the sun.

It's called
the flying witch phenomena.

People see these things
that looked like

your typical Halloween
witch on a broom

flying across the sky.

But nobody can really
explain why they're there.

And for whatever reason,

the sighting seemed
to be centralized

in one particular area
of the world.

Witches are
a phenomena worldwide.

I mean, almost
every culture has some,

sort of, incarnation
of the witch.

But one place
that really seems to be,

uh, really entrenched
in that, sort of, legend

is Central and South
America.

Now, these legends of witches

are, uh, pretty engrained
in the culture down there.

And they're said to have
powers, abilities,

some can fly,
uh, some kill people,

uh, some are
extremely violent.

It's almost as if they're
a super human

or a human with
exceptional powers.

Still, flying broomsticks?

Really?

No, it's not
traditional

across the world
that witches fly on brooms,

but one thing that is
unexpectedly traditional

is that witches usurp
domestic tools

to be used toward
unnatural ends.

So yes, in a lot
of traditions,

we have a broom
or a broomstick,

normally used
to clean out a house,

being used as a tool
to fly with.

But Baba Yaga,
the famous Russian witch,

she flew around
in a mortar and pestle.

So again, they see
a domestic household tool

being re-appropriated
for some unnatural purpose.

And that's really

the traditional element
of witchcraft is this,

I'm gonna use a thing
that usually a woman

would normally use
in one context

and I'm gonna really freak
you out by how I use it.

If that's the intention,

mission accomplished,

at least in this case.

But that doesn't
mean there's any reason

to be truly afraid,

just wary.

Witches reside on both
the light and dark spectrum of magic,

so witches, depending
on what their intentions are

and the types of magic
they practice,

can be something
to truly fear.

But at the same time,

I believe the majority
of the people

that practice
magic and witchcraft

do it on a level to make
their lives

and the lives
of other people better.

So, yes, just like
there's good people,

there are bad people,
same with witches.

heard of the drekavac?

It's a hideous,
terrifying figure

originally
from South Slavic Folklore.

And though exact physical
description of the creature

vary depending on
who you talk to,

there is one defining feature

that everyone agrees on,

it's chilling screams.

So, when one
Russian man heard this

coming from his barn...

...he couldn't help

but be just
a little bit concerned.

December 2020

in Ufa, Bashkortostan,
Russia,

it's night time
and a man named Alexey

hear a strange
animalistic sounds...

...that appeared to be

coming from his barn.

But the closer he gets,

the clearer it becomes

that whatever
is making these noises...

is not just any animal.

Hey.

Watch again.

As whatever is in the barn,

throws a pot towards Alexey.

Hey.

Whatever this thing is,

one thing seems certain...

Whoo.

...it wants to be left alone.

Whoo.

The sounds that
are coming from this barn

are unlike anything
I personally heard before.

It doesn't sound
like an animal,

doesn't sound like a human.

Uh, it is just really weird
sounding.

They are high pitched
and shrill,

and they sound like
something between

a growl and a shriek.

I'm impressed with how long

this guy stayed there filming.

I would have been back
in the safety of my home

calling the police
in a heartbeat.

But Alexey is too
intrigued

to run away just yet.

He wants to get a look at it,

so he heads over
to a small window

and peeks in.

Did you catch it?

Watch again.

Zoomed in,

as a face darts away

after a split second.

And it apparently
doesn't like

that it was caught on camera.

But still,
Alexey is undeterred

and goes back
to get another look.

There it is again.

What on earth
are we seeing here?

The eyes tell me
that this is probably

some sort of
nocturnal creatures,

seems to be reflecting
with the light

suggesting that it's has
some sort of night vision.

To me, the first thing
that came to mind

is the moth man

with the descriptions
that we got of the moth man

from, uh, Eastern Ohio

is of this, sort of,
the bird like creature

with these glowing eyes.

Possibly,
or could it be something

a little more indigenous
to this part of the world?

Hearing these sounds
and seeing what's going on,

seeing that things
are being thrown here locally

in this part of Russia,

he might be dealing
with a drekavac.

The drekavac
is a creature

with long spindly legs

and sometimes narrowed horns,

and they're typically
associated

with the souls of the dead
or sinners

that have been transformed
into these creatures.

Its name means, the screecher,

the one who screeches.

So, that's certainly
fits here.

And the time
of year this is happening

certainly fits as well.

It's believes that

for a portion of December,

there is some sort of portal

for the drekavac to come

into our dimensional
existence

and wreak havoc.

Because a lot of these...

non-human corporeal creatures

that might have come through

dimensional time slips

or have come through
forms of portals

that we have yet
to discover or understand

from other dimensions,

it's like being
thrown unequipped

into our atmosphere.

And in fact,
there have been other

similar creatures spotted
recently

that seem to behave
in the same way

like this one
in a barn in Poland.

And this one

spotted in a factory

in Birobidzhan, Russia.

One of the most
common characteristics

of all things supernatural

is the idea of liminality,

the idea that supernatural
creatures exist

in very in-between ways,

say, between life and death,

between presence
and non-presence,

between this world
and another world.

So, the fact that
we so often encounter them,

not in the middle of our
homes,

in the living room
or the kitchen,

and not even necessarily

way out in the center
of the wilderness,

but on the outbuildings.

In our barns.

In our sheds,

at the edge of our property,

on the edge of the forest.

That's really the place
where these creatures

fit the best.

Thankfully for Alexey,

the drekavac
or whatever it is,

eventually disappears
from his barn

without a trace,

at least for the time being.

Imagine looking out
your airplane window

and seeing this UFO
flying below.

While the
experience of seeing a UFO

varies from person to person,

the story, for the most part,

remains the same.

Someone looks
to the skies above

and sees something strange.

But the story
from a man in Mexico

is significantly different
than that.

Because in his case,

he didn't look up

and see a bizarre
flying object.

He looked down.

November 2020,

in the sky over Mexico,

Luis Cabrera
is on a commercial flight

travelling from Tijuana
to Morelia when...

out his window,
he sees something unusual.

So, he takes out his phone
and captures this,

a white object floating
beneath his plane.

Luis zooms in,
hoping for a better look.

But despite the clearer view,

he isn't any closer

to figuring out
what this thing is.

For the next 30 seconds,

the object drifts
underneath the clouds below,

passing in and out of view
from Luis' plane.

Before finally,
disappearing for good.

and I recorded the video
from the plane.

We can all relate to being
on that window seat

feeling pretty cramped

and just looking out
at the clouds.

But then seeing something

that is not supposed
to be there,

now that is a head-scratcher.

And it catches
your attention.

This craft looks strange,

it looks beetle-shaped,

it looks like
it's just hovering there.

It looks metallic,

it almost looks
like a crumpled up

piece of tin foil.

And it seems to be below
the plane a little bit,

but, uh, it's moving... It...

What seems like
the same speed as the plane.

If you notice in this video,

sometimes this thing

goes in-between the clouds
where you can't see it.

I mean,
is it kind of hiding itself

from the airplane
or is it just observing?

This is not shaped like
anything...

I've ever seen.

It's not a disk,

it's not a sphere,

so what is this?

Hard to say.

But according to Luis,

it's becoming more
and more common

to see UFOs in Mexico.

And maybe the
reason for all these sightings

is based
in Mexico's storied history.

Since Mayan civilization,

they have been seeing UFOs.

We're talking more
about UFOs now

because there's less
of a stigma around it.

That whole area of Mexico,

I argue
all of Central America,

from the Aztec
and Mayan cultures,

all recognized
extraterrestrials and UFOs

from thousands of years ago.

You can even include
Texas, and Arizona,

and New Mexico into that,
as well.

If there is any hotbed
of UFO activity,

um, that is the hottest bed.

And it's not just
this specific area

of the world that is seeing
increasing UFO activity.

It's also this particular
vantage point.

Only a month later, this
object

was also spotted from a plane.

This time, flying over
the southern United States.

We are getting
a lot of videos coming in

from non-military bystanders
on commercial aircrafts.

And that might have
something to do with the fact

that now we're able to use

our phones in cabin,
you know.

Before, as a civilian
going on an airplane,

they make you put
your phone away

and they scold you
if it's even out for a second.

So, now we have the ability

to use our phones and have
internet on the airplanes.

Now that they're permitted

and we're allowed to use
these cameras,

we're gonna see a lot of more
of these videos

in years to come.

As for Luis,
after this sighting,

his thinking on the subject
has evolved.

start this fire?

What is it about black cats

that freak some people out?

It could be their association
with bad luck.

Or their longstanding
and somewhat say unfair

connection to Satan,

the mystical arts,

and of course witchcraft.

In fact,
during the middle ages,

many believed that black cats
were not just

the frequent companions
of witches,

but perhaps even the witches
themselves in disguise.

But these days,
most people realize

that black cats are just like
any other cat.

They purr.

Cuddle, and...

in very, very rare cases,

start fires

with their black magic
witch powers.

April, 2021, Egypt,

a security camera captures
a seemingly normal day

on a narrow stretch of road,

but keep an eye
on this black cat.

Did you see that?

Watch it again in slow motion.

As the cat approaches a pile
of rubbish in the corner,

the pile suddenly...

bursts into flames.

The cat then somehow manages
to quickly slip away

before anyone seems
to notice it or the fire.

What on earth did we just see?

Holy cat, this is thing
is crazy to see.

This black cat start a fire.

This seems
so supernaturally crazy

to witness on video,

but this
was astounding to see.

I've never seen anything
like this before

and at first glance,

it certainly looks like
this cat had something to do

with this fire
that was started.

And it's so clear

that the fire doesn't start

until the cat
has gone over to it.

If there were
a fire already beginning,

cats are smart enough
to not stick their face

in the middle of it.

So, it very definitely seems

that the cat walks over,

checks out this pile of stuff,

somehow lights it on fire,

and then walks off.

But if this fire
was started by the black cat,

how?

Black cats
throughout history have had

a very uneven relationship
with mankind.

Back in ancient Egypt,
they were worshipped,

they were revered.

Then, in the 1500 and 1600s,
we turned on them.

They were seen
as companions to witches.

They're

they're agents of mischief
and chaos.

Some people fear black cats

because they believe
that witches have the ability

to transform into one,

so maybe what we're seeing
here is actually

a witch in disguise
roaming around.

Maybe.

Or could we be witnessing
something else entirely,

though, equally mind-blowing?

If there is anything unusual

happening in the environment

when it comes to, like,
spiritual energy, cats

notice it first.

So, I believe that this cat
was observing an entity

that was doing something,

that was manifesting
something there.

And just as it was starting
to pique this cat's interest

to the point where
it was about to crescendo

into some form of energy,

the cat comes to intervene.

I don't think
the cat started the fire.

I think the cat saw who did.

Whether the cat
started the fire on its own,

was a witch in disguise,

or simply observed another
supernatural entity

engaging in mischief,

the evidence suggest
that one thing is for sure,

black cats are special.

We certainly can't say
if black cats have,

uh, particular power, but...

uh, given what I've seen
in this video...

I certainly wouldn't
question it if I saw it again.
