I think I was
mostly in disbelief

because I thought someone
was in the building.

A haunted brewery
terrifies some ghost hunters.

The Halloween
season brings out

the supernatural
in Northern Ireland.

Is this some
kind of living UFO?

It almost looks like some
sort of portable portal

being pulled through the sky.

And even more
paranormal footage

you have to see...

...to believe.

911,
the three numbers you dial

during the worst moments
of your life.

Moments that often
toe the line

between life and death.

And 24 hours a day,
seven days a week,

all of that scared
and stressed out energy

flows through the lines
of communication

to exactly on place...

...a 911 call center.

And when that kind of energy

gathers within a small,
confined space,

strange things
are bound to occur...

...which may be why
one call center operator...

...is dealing with this.

June, 2020,
near Savannah, Georgia.

For seven years Brandi Kight

has worked
at a 911 call center

that has creeped her out.

My name is Brandi Kight,

and I'm the one that
filmed these videos.

We've always
had weird things happening

at the office.

Sounds like someone's
in the attic, things falling.

You go up there,
no one's there.

There was a vase of flowers
sitting on a filing cabinet.

Nothing was touching it.

I was sitting there,
and it just fell like that.

There was a Coke can
on the counter.

It slid across the counter.
There was no water under it.

Don't know how that happened.

And
according to Brandi,

the strange activity
has recently escalated.

So much so that she
has begun to document it

starting on June 16th

when some lights
start acting strangely.

Four days later,
there are phantom knocks.

And four days
after that,

apparent attempts
at communication.

I was terrified
because I didn't know

from day to day,
whenever I got there,

what was gonna happen.

What we're seeing here

is really sort of classic
haunting poltergeist things.

So, lights suddenly
turning on,

suddenly turning off,
knocking noises.

This is absolutely terrifying

but absolutely classic.

But
as terrifying as it is,

it was about to get
a whole lot worse

just one week later.

I got up,

walked to the thermostat
which was on the other side of the room,

came back
by the sliding glass window

that looks out into the hall

and I saw what
appeared to be a shoulder

in the doorway
to our break room.

And I knew that I was
in the building by myself.

Brandi's
in-the-moment narration

takes over from here.

Am I crazy or is that
somebody standing there?

Um, I don't...
Do y'all see that?

Watch again.
Zoomed in.

As a dark figure stands
in an adjacent doorway

before seemingly ducking
into the break room.

Do y'all see that?

I got on the radio
and I called an officer

to come to the center
to clear the building.

I shut the door to the break
room and I locked it

just to be sure if it was
someone in the building.

He got there. There was
no one in the building.

No doors opened

because we have alarms that
sound when a door's opened.

Nothing was opened.

I was mostly scared
and shocked and in disbelief

because I thought
someone was in the building,

and then to find out
that no one's there,

then I was even more
scared than anything.

There is
so unambiguously

someone standing
in that doorway,

and we get such a good creepy
view of it along with her

looking from her door
down the hallway.

To know that there was not

another person
found in that building,

that there was no way
a person could have left,

before the police arrived,

that's truly terrifying.

Do y'all see that?

I do believe that
this is a shadow figure

that's going to actually

trip off the lights
at this place,

and I do feel like
it is a negative energy

that is using her fear

to kind of create
it's existence.

Am I crazy or is that
somebody standing there?

When she addresses it,
it quickly retreats.

And that's often
the way we see

these "shadow
figures" in videos.

They always seem to be
almost spying on the living.

But why
would a shadow figure

be hanging around
a 911 call center?

This is a place that
a lot of people don't consider

when it comes to hauntings.

You think asylums,
hospitals, nursing homes.

But here, daily their job
is to take care of people

who are in dire situations.

As a 911
dispatch operator,

you are, at this point,
some stranger's lifeline

between life or death,

and that could be
really stressful.

That could be a lot
to bear on your shoulders.

So I think that maybe
this could be a manifestation

of that type
of stress or energy.

Fortunately,
for Brandi since she spotted the shadow figure,

the activity has died down,

and she is still working
at the call center.

I have definitely
thought about finding

a different job
in a different building,

but at the same time,
we can co-exist.

As long as it doesn't hurt me,
I'll leave it alone.

This shadow figure
moving into the break room

could it be somebody that
worked there previously and has passed on

and is just visiting and
walking into the break room to see what's up.

I don't know.

But I don't know if we
can jump to the conclusion

that there is any
kind of evil intent.

I don't see anything

that she needs
to be worried about.

Regardless,
Brandi's still a bit on edge.

I'm not as terrified
as I was in the beginning,

so it has kind
of toned down that fear.

But that fear's always there,

that it's just gonna
show up at any time.

paranormal investigators

is scared senseless
at a haunted brewery.

Some
believe that buildings

have lives of their own.

And there's one
particular building

in California

that might have something
to say about that.

It's been taken apart
and rebuilt again

in a completely
different location.

It's housed several
different businesses

through the years

and is now a popular brewery.

And some say

because of its long,
eventful life,

the building is haunted.

One paranormal
investigative team

was recently asked
to confirm those suspicions,

and what they found
terrified them.

September, 2020,
in Markleeville, California.

Ryan and River Rees
and two colleagues,

Nik and Wyatt,

have been invited
to investigate

the Cutthroat Brewing Company.

- Hi, I'm Ryan.
- I'm River.

And we filmed this video.

The building
was actually

one of the oldest buildings
in Markleeville.

I was actually taken board
by board and nail by nail

from another town,
moved over to Markleeville,

and it was originally a hotel
bed and breakfast.

I believe it came
from Silver City.

- Yeah, Silver City.
- California.

Before they turned it
into a brewing company,

back in the day,

it would snow in in that area
to where nobody could really

get out of town
or come into town,

and so during the winters,

they'd have doctors
come and stay in Markleeville,

and they'd use the basement,
the cellar, to store bodies,

as basically
a morgue in a way.

That long history

might explain why the brewing
company's employees

have experienced
the activity they have.

We had actually
gotten a phone call

from one of owners

of the Cutthroat
Brewing Company.

She was starting
to have employees

getting, basically, hurt

by some of the spirits
that are in that building.

One, in particular, is

an employee was going
downstairs in the basement...

...and the basement door
had slammed on her...

...and she had gotten
grabbed by her throat,

and so that was one
of the main things that

actually drew our attention
so that it would make us

basically come over there
and do our investigation.

- You guys excited?
- Yeah. I'm excited.

- Let's get it on.
- Let's go investigate.

The team begins

by setting up
stationary cameras,

and almost immediately,

the one facing
the back of the building

yields results.

Did you catch it?

Watch again. Zoomed in.

As what appears to be
a full-bodied apparition

walks past the doorway.

We first thought
that somebody had walked in from the back.

Upon further
reviewing the footage...

...we noticed that

you could see right through
that apparition, and I, I...

I was bouncing around,
you know, I was so excited

because we caught something
that was just super clear

and not a person.

If that wasn't
an actual person,

which it didn't look like
to me,

they might have caught
the Holy Grail

for paranormal investigators.

It's so clear that
at first you sort of think,

"Okay, where is the ghost
that I'm looking for? Is it behind that guy?

Or is it to the side
of that guy?" And then you realize,

"That's it. That's the guy.
That's the apparition."

I could instantly
tell it was a man.

I could see the outline
of his shoulders,

his neck, his head
and his facial hair.

But then he does
something even more curious.

He appears to step in
and take a look around

as if he's
checking out the place

before he walks away.

There is intent here.

And this apparition
has apparently

been here before.

That's originally
why we even put the camera facing that way

is because one of
the employees had mentioned that

they had seen someone
standing there at one point.

Um, they, too, thought
someone had, you know,

stayed after closing hours,

or broken through the back
because they've had that issue before.

Um... So, just... I don't know
how to explain it.

But for the team,
the most startling moments

during the investigation

occurred during a more
old-school method

of contact: A trigger object.

I had mentioned to Wyatt
that I wanted to put a ball

at the top of the stairs
just to see what would happen.

One of the owners of
Cutthroat Brewing Company,

Rachel, her two kids,

her daughter and son
were playing up in the attic.

They were laughing
and giggling, playing with a ball.

Rachel comes up the stairs
and talks to the kids,

and the kids were saying
that they were playing with another kid...

- ...which is pretty interesting.

Quite commonly
an investigation

will employ what we term
trigger objects

to try to induce
spirit interaction.

Now, it could be a toy,
it could be a ball,

it could be anything.

And again,
the results are almost immediate.

Oh!

Thank you.

And as soon as we
put it up there

while we were getting ready
and setting up,

the ball had fallen
the first time,

and so we kept
putting it up there.

But not without
trying to debunk it first.

No movement.

They tried to see if
they can make the ball move by vibrating.

They were up
on the top of the stairs.

They're jumping up and down,
and the ball's not moving.

Now, almost
completely certain

that a spirit moved the ball
the first time,

they try to provoke it again.

Use your energy,
kick that ball.

The ball
is pushed again,

scaring the daylights
out of Ryan.

It was just...
It was unbelievable.

It worked. It got pushed down,

and, I mean, his reaction
when he got frightened from it...

I was... I was scared.

That's as genuine
as you can get with a reaction.

I'm sorry. It just
really scared me because it caught me off guard.

It really did.

There's this
predilection in the paranormal

to be all tough,
and nobody smiles,

and they fold their arms,
and don't react.

But this was
a genuine human reaction,

and it's happened to me,
it's happened to all of us.

Sorry.

So the fact that he
felt a little sheepish about it after,

endears me
to this investigation.

Dude, what's wrong
with your hand?

The experience
allowed the group to report back to Rachel

with one conclusion.

It's haunted.

She actually
showed the video at the bar

and had everyone
that sat there view the video,

and everyone was shocked.

Capturing
this phenomenon on camera,

for people who
experience it everyday, it's very validating.

And at the end of the day,
a true investigator

goes into a location
to help their clients,

to capture phenomenon,

and I think that they
did all of those things,

and they ended up getting
some pretty good results.

And I do think that
the brewery is haunted.

a ghostly figure

makes a special
Halloween appearance in Northern Ireland.

Did you know
that long before Halloween

was celebrated
around the world,

it was part of
an ancient Celtic harvest festival

that originated in Ireland.

I was called Samhain,

and it was believed that
at this time of year,

the veil separating
the living and the dead was at its thinnest,

increasing the likelihood
of ghostly sightings,

whether it's spirits, orbs
or even fairies.

And for many,
those Celtic beliefs continue even today.

Just as a woman
in Northern Ireland

who pointed
her surveillance camera

at the Halloween decorations
in her backyard

and caught this.

October 2020, in Ballycastle,
Northern Ireland.

Halloween is just
around the corner.

And Nicole McNicholl
has decorated her yard

with gravestones,
skeletons and ghouls

for her sons
Cormick and Bobby.

And this year, because of
some stolen merchandise

during last year's season,

Nicole has set up
a security camera

to monitor the yard.

But instead of thieves,
it captures this...

...a vertical string of orbs

moving briskly
through the garden.

At first, it seems to hover
around the slide

and then begins
to move around the yard

as if observing
the various decorations.

Finally, it heads back
toward the house

and disappears into the night.

Nicole is dumbfounded.

What we
have here is another example of these floating orbs.

These ones seem to be
vaguely connected in some way,

but they seem to
float throughout the screen,

almost as if they're
lighter than air.

It's like this figure
dancing around on the frame.

It's easy to see this
as a repetition

or a residual energy

of someone who came
to this garden space on a regular basis,

and now is still doing that
in the afterlife.

It really felt like something
was visiting the garden,

and it was
smelling all the plants

you know, just sort of,
behaving like you would

if you were
walking through a garden.

If this is
some kind of a spirit,

who or what could it be?

It seems like it's moving
in a way that's playful,

that almost would
indicate to me that

we're looking at
some sort of youthful spirit,

not only because of the size
of what we're seeing,

but it goes over
by the playpen, and then it runs over into the yard,

and then it's kind of
turning around, like...

You can see
that its movement

is fragmented and quick.

And something about that
is very whimsical.

Like, something about it
is very playful to me.

And if
not a spirit?

I think that
what we're seeing here

could possibly be a fairy.

I think in western culture,

our idea of fairies
is very different

from what people in Ireland
believe them to be.

In Ireland, they're basically
small magical people.

They're not really ghosts,
they're not really humans.

They're sort of
somewhere in between.

But they have
supernatural powers,

and they usually reside
in areas that are very green.

If you have
a really beautiful, lush, green garden,

then you are going to attract
the presence of fairies.

Whatever
this thing is, the fact that

it was spotted during
this time of year

in this particular setting
certainly makes sense.

We can't really
overlook the fact

that it's Halloween
and we're in Ireland,

and Ireland, of course,
is the birthplace

of the original tradition
that has given us Halloween.

If you've ever
visited Ireland,

there are literally
bridges that are adorned with

little trinkets and jewelry
and shiny things and gifts

because they're offerings
for the fae.

And when you add the fact

that we're getting close
to Samhain,

when the veil between
the other world and our world is at its thinnest,

which mean that the fae
are getting stronger within our realm,

and then, you have
a garden of knick-knacks and decorations

to celebrate the occasion,
which are things that fairies love,

I think that's the reason
why she's getting all this activity.

Though she
still has no idea

exactly what she caught,

Nicole is just grateful
to have gotten

a glimpse of something

that's probably been present
in the area for centuries.

sees this bizarre UFO
near his home.

As we all
know by now,

UFOs come in all kinds
of shapes and sizes.

From small balls of light...

Okay, so,
I don't know what this is.

...to dazzling orbs

to massive triangular crafts
moving slowly overhead.

Can you see?

But none are
quite as confusing

as the ones that are shaped
like a biological entity.

It seems to be alive,
you guys.

And though
we've seen quite a few of these recently,

we are no closer
to figuring out what they are.

Just ask the man in England
who captured this.

What is this?

November 14, 2020.

In county Norfolk,
on the eastern side of England.

It's late in the evening,

and Kevin Folan is driving
along the countryside,

a short distance
from his home,

when suddenly,
something catches his eye.

So he pulls over
and starts to record.

What is this?

It's a strange,
oddly shaped object

floating in the sky.

It looks huge,
makes no sound

and is moving at an
almost an impossibly slow speed.

Kevin watches it
for 15 minutes

as it slowly makes its way
toward the horizon.

And he has no idea
what this thing is.

My name is Kevin Folan.

I'm the person
who shot the video.

Later, when Kevin
looks for an answer

as to what this thing
could be...

...he only ends up
with more questions.

So, the usual
go-tos when ruling out things

that we see in the sky are

weather balloons,
Chinese lanterns,

flares, drones, planes.

I don't think that this falls
in any of those categories.

When we see
UFOs, we tend to see things

that look mechanical.

But something that this
that looks so organic,

so amorphous...

It almost looks like
some sort of portable portal

being pulled through he sky.

This strikes me
as biological in nature.

And who is to say
that if we had visitors

from another planet
or even dimension,

that their form of travel
might not be organic,

or perhaps we are looking at
a biological entity itself.

Biological UFOs are something

that's becoming
a little bit more popular.

Those are the ones that
don't really feel like

the typical spacecrafts
that we're used to seeing.

They look more like
real organisms

that are floating in the sky.

And in fact...

...there have been
quite a few of these

odd biological UFOs
spotted recently.

That is weird.

All of them
equally perplexing.

Looks like
a jellyfish.

It seems to be alive,
you guys.

This is why

folklorists has to always
pay attention to context.

A singular story
never exists in a vacuum.

When we take a step back

and we look
at a particular region

or a particular time period
or a particular culture

in which something
is consistently happening

and consistently
being reported,

that's when we start to say,

"Okay, this population
is accurately describing

something that's truly
taking place."

I cannot emphasize
enough

two things about this footage.

One is that sightings overall
are increasing.

And secondly,
the shapes reported

are increasingly weird
and unusual.

Perhaps these things
are presenting themselves

in new shapes
to challenge our perceptions

or maybe even prepare us
for something bigger.

Whatever
this thing is,

spacecraft, living creature
or something else entirely,

we'll have to wait and see.

that one woman in Montana
was forced to confront.

from the experience.

2018
in Bozeman, Montana,

Caitlyn Haden
has experienced strange bouts

of paranormal activity
in her home

for quite some time.

But tonight,

that activity is about
to reach a new level.

Her roommate is out
for the night,

and Caitlyn is alone
lying in bed...

...when she hears something
downstairs.

She gets up,

and makes her way
toward the staircase

to the first floor.

And as she gets closer...

...it becomes more
and more clear

that she is not alone.

Oh, God.

.

Someone
or something

is trying to get in...

...through both doors.

But no one is there.

Watch again

as one of the bedroom
doors slams shut,

causing Caitlyn
to stop recording.

But it's not over yet.

Moments later,
she starts recording again.

She grabs a golf club
for protection.

But if this is a ghost,

it won't do her much good.

Caitlyn says
the activity stopped at this point,

and she is sure
that whatever this was,

it was not of this world.

This is really scary.

This is one of those videos

that literally makes
my heart race.

It feels like
this poor woman

is being tormented,
pursued and stalked.

Oh, God.

What caught me off-guard

that I thought
was interesting

is how both doors open
at the same time.

And that that gives you
anxiety even more

because now you have
two points of entry

where something
could come at you.

Either A,
whatever it was

looked into the room,
decided,

"I don't need
to come in here,"

and then slammed
and moved on.

Or, "I'm in here now,"

- ...slam.

"We're in here together."

Terrifying,
but could Caitlyn's fear

be making it
even more powerful?

When she runs
to her room

and closes the door,

she's thinking, "Oh, my God.

I hope this thing
doesn't come upstairs",

signaling the thing
to come upstairs.

Then, "Oh, my God.
I hope this thing doesn't come in my room",

signaling this thing
to come in her room.

She's giving them
the play-by-play

of what her anxiety
and fears are,

and they're acting
upon it.

And what makes
this situation

even more bizarre

is that Caitlyn says
all the paranormal activity

that happened while
she was living in the house

was only witnessed
by her.

Her roommate saw
none of it.

Seems like
ghosts pick people out

when it comes to hauntings.

You will often
hear about cases

where one particular
person living in a house

seems to be the brunt
of most of the activity

and some of the other people

don't even believe
it's taking place

let alone have it
happen to them.

After this event,
Caitlyn had had enough.

She left the house
for good

a couple of months later.

And the activity,
whatever it was,

didn't follow.

She could've been
in a different state of mind

when she moved.

She might have
subconsciously

felt like
she had a new start.

And then,
feeling that confidence,

feeling that freshness,

that in a way
released the attachment.

Oh, God.

Let's hope
for her sake,

it stays that way.

Why are spirits
so often attracted to dolls?

One reason perhaps

is that some dolls
are so lifelike...

...that all a spirit has to do
is move right in...

...and with a little bit
of energy

become almost alive again.

might be happening

with one doll in Mexico.

And she is causing
quite a stir.

For decades,

Rosa Elva Valdes
Alvarado

has owned a doll
that some find

peculiar.

My name is Rosa Elva
Valdes Alvarado,

and the doll is called Rosita,
like me.

One day,
she finally decided

to take Rosita
out of her box

and started to dress her
in her daughter's clothing.

Then, something strange
happened.

And ever since,
for the last 60 years,

Rosa has been dressing Rosita

and somehow...

...walking with her.

And if you think
it's just some kind of parlor trick

or a result of the doll
having loose leg joints,

consider this.

With rare exception,

Rosita walked with Rosa...

...and no one else.

This isn't a doll

maybe moving

or showing up
in a different spot

than where it was left
the night before.

This is a doll
that appears to be

just straight-up walking,

moving its legs,

ambulating
while a woman holds its hand.

And it just won't do it
for anyone else.

It looks
almost convincing

that, that this thing
is moving its legs,

and to the point

where you're almost
expecting it

to turn its head

or blink its eyes
or start talking to her.

I found myself
thinking that

it could simply be

that this one woman knows

how to manipulate
or how to move this doll

so that whatever mechanism
is in its legs

is, is activated

or, or is made usable
or visible.

But it doesn't make sense

that no one else
would be able to replicate that.

Clearly, other people
have tried

to walk this doll

and, clearly, they are
not able to make it happen.

And there's more.

Around Saltillo,

people have claimed
that the doll

does other bizarre things.

If in fact
there are spirits

that are drawn to dolls,
it might just be because

they look so much
like the human form.

Another reason
might be because

entities do not have
a lot of energy to move things.

Yet if they could inhabit
the form of a person

and really move it around
without a lot of effort,

it's almost like

they're reembodying
themselves

into the human form.

But despite
Rosita's abilities,

Rosa insists

that she's not something
to fear.

Regardless of how
or why the doll moves,

Rosa believes
she has been given

a lifelong gift.

What should you do
in the event

you witnessed something
paranormal?

Here are some tips
