brings an entity

into a man's home.

I've seen the shadow
move across the couch

sent chills down my spine.

A colorful UFO
stuns a man in Connecticut.

I was in such awe.

I was like, "What is that?"

A woman
is accosted by spirits

as she sleeps.

It's kind of a nightmare.

It's kind of everybody's
worst nightmare,

really.

A mysterious monolith is discovered in Utah.

This is wild.

I don't know
what this is.

And I'm saying that
as a folklorist

and I'm saying that
as a Utahn.

And even more
paranormal footage

you have to see...

What the hell is this?

...to believe?

The spirit board.

Some believe
it's merely a children's game

meant to entertain.

Others however,

consider spirit boards
extremely dangerous.

Because once you open up
that door to the other side,

there's simply no telling

who or what
is going to walk through it.

A couple in California
know that firsthand.

Because they've been living
with the aftermath of a spirit board session

for years.

And have the footage
to prove it.

October 2017

in West Hollywood, California.

It's Halloween

and Harry McClarry
and his wife Paige

are having a party
at their home

to celebrate the occasion,

their friends
give them a gift.

A gift
that makes Harry uneasy.

My name is Harry McClarry
and I filmed the video.

A couple friends of ours,
as a joke,

got us a spirit board,

just because they know
how much I dislike them.

And then at what point
I walk down the hall

and I go into the bedroom

and my wife
and a couple of her friends

are actually using
the spirit board.

So, I got a little upset,
but didn't think anything of it.

And it was shortly after that

that some weird things
started happening around our home.

We started noticing the lights
just randomly turning on and off.

We both start waking up
at the same time in the middle of the night

with the sense that,
you know,

somebody was
outside our bedroom

in the hallway.

You know, footsteps,

doors opening
and closing randomly...

You hear this kind of story all the time.

Someone plays
with the spirit board

and then, inexplicably,
the next day or the next week

things start to happen.

What you've done

is open up your home

to the potential
of any spirit.

It's like a vampire.

They're always
at the edge of the door.

But the second
you buy that board

you are inviting
that vampire in.

And no matter what you do,
no matter how many times you say,

"Hey please leave,
I don't want to die today,"

they can come in because you
have invited it in.

Then, a couple of weeks after the party

the activity takes
a terrifying turn.

I had just recently bought
a handful of cameras

and put them up
all around our home.

And I'm at work one day

and I get
a notification on my phone

- that there was motion in our living room.

So Harry checked
the security camera footage.

And sees this.

Did you catch it?

Watch again.

As the bedroom door
in the background

swings open by itself.

Then, seconds later

a shadow appears
out of nowhere

and crosses directly
in front of Harry's couch.

My face have turned white
when I saw that.

The way
that the door opens...

It opens so matter-of-factly.

You know, it's not
like the door slowly opens

like it could've been a draft.

It just, it seems

as though the door
is opened with purpose.

And then seeing the shadow
move across the couch

sent chills down my spine.

I mean, if you look again

there's no shadow
that moves across the table.

It's only across the couch.

These two moments with the door opening

and then
what appears to be a shadow

moving across the sofa,

are quite disturbing.

Because whatever is
in the house,

it's making itself at home.

It's possible that what we're seeing here,

the shadow on the couch
literally just walked in through the door

and sat on the couch
like just as a person might.

The fact that this one was so clear, so distinct and bold

is an indication
that the spirit is very powerful

or just doesn't care
if it's seen.

Harry shows
the video to Paige.

And they're both
totally freaked out.

At that point I think
both of us were sort of scared

to come home from work.

Because now it was like, wow,

we actually have
footage of this thing.

Um...
And we, yeah, that's...

We weren't sure
what to do after that.

And while
this specific situation

was new and frightening
to the couple,

Harry has long joked

about his wife's relationship
to the supernatural.

My wife is
from a small town in Maine.

And as a kid, her father
joked around

that a ghost
would follow her around.

She lived
in like a really old house

and she would tell me
that lights would turn on and off

whenever she would be
around them.

And she just has
like this sense about her.

She has
like a weird connection

to maybe
some kind of spiritual thing.

This is not uncommon that an individual person

has some receptiveness
or a connection maybe

with either
a specific spiritual presence

or maybe an individual
psychic capability that they have

that generates the energy

that brings about
these experiences.

And this long history with the spiritual realm

has helped them come
to terms with whatever

or whoever is now
in their home.

They even have an idea
of who would might be.

My wife thinks it could be
her grandfather

who died before she was born.

Her mother tells her,
you know,

"Your grandfather
was always fond of you."

And so, when we told her mom

about the stuff
that was happening,

she immediately had the sense

that it could be
her grandfather.

Once we sort of,
in our head,

decided that,
that's who it could be,

things kind of started feeling
a little bit more at ease for us.

Since spirits so often

want just to get
their story told,

to be understood,

to be recognized,
as do we all,

that alone may have been
the entire purpose of the haunting.

To say, "Hello, I love you,
and I'm here."

Knowing that it could be
her grandfather,

making noise
in the middle of the night,

maybe he's looking out
for her.

Maybe he doesn't like me.

A bright object in the sky

inspired
some intriguing possibilities.

Maybe it's a dimension, maybe it's a portal,

maybe it's a rip
in the space-time continuum.

The chances
of spotting a UFO,

no matter how often
you look up at the stars,

are slim.

But every once in a while

a seemingly random occurrence

puts you in the right place,
at the exact right time.

Which is what happened
to one man in Connecticut.

When a mishap
with his home security system

caused him to glance upwards

and see this...
incredible object.

August 2020,
in Bozrah, Connecticut.

- It's 1:00 AM.

And a man named Eddie
and his husband are awoken

by the alarms of their
home security system.

Eddie
immediately investigates,

only to discover that a spider
has crawled

onto the lens
of their driveway camera,

triggering the alarm.

But this was
a fortuitous accident,

because once outside,
Eddie looks up in the sky

and sees this.

A hovering object
shining in the sky,

radiating vivid colors

in a rapid,
spectacular fashion.

And Eddie is astonished.

Hey, my name is Eddie
and I filmed the video.

Out of the corner of my eye
I look and I see this...

multicolored sparkly thing
in the sky

and I'm like, maybe I had
too much drink tonight.

You know, I'm seeing things.

So, I ended up pulling out
my P900 camera

and I'd taken
some great pictures of the moon with it,

so I knew it would get
a good zoom on that.

And when I did,

I was just amazed
at what I saw.

I have never seen anything
like that before.

And then I had to take
a step back.

And you think
it's a trick of the camera.

I'm like, no,
you look at the camera,

then you look up
and you look at the camera

and you look at that
and you're like, uh...

No, that's what I'm seeing.

Not quite believing his eyes,

Eddie calls for his husband.

I was like,
"Come look at this,

because I want to make sure
that I'm not seeing things."

And it was verified
by two human beings

that this was there.

I was in such awe,
I was like, "What is that?"

You know, it's spinning
and doing all these things

and making up these colors

and looks like a disco ball
or something like that.

And I'm like,
"This cannot be natural."

This is definitely unusual

and if I saw this in the sky
I would certainly take note.

Because I haven't seen
anything like this before.

Whatever
we're looking at here

You can see
there's this plasma,

there's something going on.

And it looks like
there's circular motion

going on in such a way,
almost like a gyroscope.

Unlike most lights that we see in the sky,

this one
does not seem to have

that bright solid core to it.

This one seems to have
these angelite rings of light,

which almost rotate
around each other,

pulsating in and out

and changing colors
as they do.

A self-proclaimed stargazer himself,

Eddie is no stranger
to the sky above his home.

But this defies
all explanation.

This is not a star.

If it is, it's a dying star.

And if it's a dying star,

it's a supernova
that's falling towards the earth

and I don't know
how much longer we have.

Now, if this was
a star that was dying,

I would think you're going
to see a few different things.

One, you would see
whether it's an explosion

or some kind
of breaking apart of the star,

or you would see

this slow diminishing light
of this thing

slowly fading away.

And we're not seeing
either of those things.

We're seeing
a lot of activity.

We're seeing something
that looks alive,

a lot of lights
and a lot of movement

inside of this thing.

It seems to be giving
our friend a show.

Even more compelling than the light show itself

is how long it lasts.

I saw it
at least three, four, five consecutive nights

and then I think I came back
the following week

and I think
it was still at the same spot.

It was very consistent
in that same location in the sky.

That is not common
in UFO sightings.

Normally, we're lucky to get
a 30 second clip

of something moving
through the night sky that's unexplained.

To be able
to observe repeatedly

the same object in the sky,

that's incredibly rare.

And almost speaks
to a wholly different class of objects.

It almost suggests
there is a purpose or intent

behind that location.

And what
might that purpose be?

Maybe it's a dimension. Maybe it's portal.

Maybe it's like a rip
in the space-time continuum.

You know,
maybe another technology has figured out

how to skip
between universes and galaxies like that,

you know,
and it's just an open door.

Eddie didn't hear
of any official reports about the object.

And he and his husband were,
as far as they know,

the only witnesses.

Which to Eddie
just makes his video even more remarkable.

I've always believed

that there are other things
in the universe besides us.

And I know there's
some interesting, weird things that go on

that science can't explain

and I was just like so excited

that I was able to capture
something that's rare

and I did it.

by an incubus.

I didn't think
I was getting touched that much.

average of seven to nine hours of sleep every night

for peak health
and functionality.

But sleeping is also

when we are
at our most vulnerable

to whoever or whatever
might be out there

waiting for the right moment
to pounce.

One woman in Maryland
knows this all too well.

And she has the footage
to prove it.

August 2020
in Uniontown, Maryland.

A paranormal investigator
who goes by the name LilRed

is sleeping overnight
at a friend's house,

pet-sitting
while they're away.

Everything seems fine.

Until about an hour
into her stay.

When she hears
something strange

and her paranormal
sixth sense

is immediately triggered.

Hi, my name is LilRed
and I filmed the video.

I went to the house
doing my normal runs

where I'm going around
with the dogs

and then
I was hearing coughing

and the cough
wasn't from the animals or me.

So, that was bringing me
to where I knew it was paranormal.

People who have
a lot of experience with hauntings

tend to trust their instincts
a lot better.

So, someone who is familiar
with the differences

between a voice outside

echoing or being carried
into an inside space

and something that's
actually some form of paranormal communication

might be more prepared
to recognize it more quickly.

In order to confirm
her suspicions,

LilRed decides to try
something unorthodox

for a live Internet audience.

I wasn't capturing it
while I was awake,

so I thought if I'm asleep
and recording,

it will happen more.

And I wanted other people
to experience it live,

so I was recording myself
sleeping

and everybody was watching
and helping capture clips

of what I could not capture
while I was asleep.

And that night I caught
a lot of stuff happening.

And it begins

almost immediately
after she falls asleep.

Watch LilRed's hair.

Watch again as a few strains
of LilRed's hair

seem to be lifted
and played with

by someone or something.

There was no fan on.

So, I knew it wasn't a fan,
or a breeze,

or anything in my hair
just being lifted

and I'm like,
it has that much energy to mess my hair,

what else?

It was touching me,
it was touching my hair.

It could've done worse.

Paranormal activity

that's captured
while you're sleeping

is definitely

the creepiest type
of footage to capture,

because you're so vulnerable.

And it looks like
as she's sleeping,

something is pulling
her hair up.

You know, like hair could fall
from gravity or wind,

but this isn't
what's going on here.

The hair is moving upward.

So, to me
that's really terrifying.

But that was
only the beginning.

Over the course of the night
various unsettling phenomena

happened to
and around LilRed.

First, whatever is
in the room with LilRed

seems to jerk her on upwards.

Again.

And again.

Eventually, it goes back
to manipulating her hair.

And then finally,
her entire body.

Reviewing the footage
the following morning,

LilRed
was a little freaked out.

I was kind of blown away,
shocked,

kind of jaw-dropping
or anything

that I was getting touched
that much.

So, it was exciting
to get it for proof,

but it was kind of scary.

Watching this clip
I got chills

and I couldn't believe
what was happening.

And we see this activity
starts to intensify

as the clip moves forward.

It's one thing where you kind of see an apparition

on the other side
of a hallway,

but when you start getting
like interacted

in one of your
most vulnerable states,

like when you are asleep,
that could be a little scary.

It's kind of a nightmare,

it's kind of everybody's
worst, worst nightmare, really.

You're sleeping,
you're most vulnerable,

you're literally unconscious

and something
is toying with you.

Seems like it's playing
with her.

This woman's body
appears to be manipulated

as if something is trying
to lift her arm

or move her hips
to put her on her back.

And that idea itself
is quite disturbing.

But who or what
would do such a thing?

For LilRed, one thing
comes to mind.

I think it was an incubus.

The incubus is a male

that will pry
on sleeping females

and try to do
kind of demonic stuff more in their sleep.

When it comes
to entities

known as succubus or incubus,

both female and male,
respectively,

they often choose targets

and attach themselves,
attack them,

feed off of them almost
in a sexual nature.

So, because this is

one of the more taboos
of hauntings,

because it is so personal

and it's more of a violation
than your average poltergeist

or shadow person.

This means
that left unchecked,

she could be
in increasing danger.

Thankfully,
LilRed emerged from the situation unharmed.

If also, unsettled.

She never showed
the homeowners the video of what happened that night

and they have since sold
the house.

But if they're ever
curious...

I knew I had recordings of it

so if they ever ask for it,
I'll have proof of it.

in Halletsville, Texas.

Paranormal investigators
Corinna Helton and Robbie Cantu

are exploring
the Lavaca County Jail.

I'm Corinna.

I'm Robbie
and I filmed the video.

This jail was built in 1885 and closed down in 2005.

It had several hangings.

There's a lot of activity in this place.

They don't even call it
the Lavaca County Jail any more.

It's the Haunted Old
Lavaca County Jail.

People are coming
from all over to investigate this place.

As part
of their investigation

the duo stays overnight
in a cell

leaving four cameras running

to pick up any activity
they might miss

as they sleep.

When they get home
the next morning

they review the footage
that cameras captured.

For hours, there's nothing.

But then, out of nowhere...

What the hell
is this going on?

A cavalcade of orbs
streams down the hall

on two of the cameras

shocking Corinna
as she watches and narrates.

Everybody was asleep.

There was nobody
in the building.

We would have seen
y'all coming through.

Corinna can't help
but speculate

about what it is
that she's seeing.

Is this a bunch of prisoners coming in one day?

Finally,
after about a minute,

the parade of orbs
disappears.

And as fast as it comes it stops.

It was mind blowing.

We've never seen anything
like that before.

- At all.
- At all.

Corinna's reaction to that

was just like,
"Oh my God, oh my God,

look at this, look at this."

The jail has
no air-conditioning,

no heating,
no windows were open.

We were in a lockdown,
nobody was in there with us.

So, needless to say
we were a little bit alarmed.

Usually
when people capture orbs on camera,

it's one or a handful.

But in this video
there's so many of them

and they're all traveling
down this hallway

from side to side

and it really feels
like they're traveling in unison together.

It definitely seems
like the orbs were moving intentionally.

It seems like they knew
the way around the hallway

as much as an orb can turn...

It almost seemed like they
were turning the hall.

That looks
like they're coming in from lunch.

Hundreds of prisoners
are coming back into the cells

walking in the hallway.

I've never seen
anything like this.

And the amount
of these orbs that are coming in

is quite significant.

It's almost as if a door
has been opened

and all of these
past prisoners are coming back

for a tour of a place
where they learned their lesson here on earth.

And if you think
it's just dust, think again.

I understand
anything going downwards.

It can be dust.

But these things are moving
in slow motion.

Even if you're
a little skeptical about orbs

and their connection
to the paranormal as I am,

I think you have to be curious
about this video

in the sense that you have

the sheer volume
of these things.

It's sort of moving en masse.

And moving at a speed

that really is unusual
for this sort of a capture.

The camera had been running for almost 12 hours

and it never did that.

Imagine
how unusual it is

when you're going
through like 12 hours of DVR footage

not seeing
a speck of dust anywhere,

knowing that there's no AC,
there's no heat,

all the windows
and doors were shut,

and as you're reviewing
your night footage

you get this huge influx
of all these orb-like anomalies

coming into frame.

If it hasn't happened

the entire 12 hours
you're there,

so what made this happen?

The fact that they
only show up this once

it feels very deliberate.

Like what we're seeing
truly is spirits of a lot of prisoners.

The jail
has been there for so long

that we have no idea

if there's every spirit
walking on the land...

What it could be? So...

We got a lot of people
looking at it,

giving us different ideas.

But they don't know,
everybody has different theories.

But while it might be difficult to figure out

what exactly the orbs
were doing that night,

the location
where they were spotted

is no surprise.

It's a home of circumstances.

People are there
because of the worst moment of their life.

And then they're trapped
in this box.

And then generally
sometimes, you know,

they die there.

And so, basically,
all you have

is the energy
of these mistakes

permeating the walls forever.

And while Corinna
and Robbie

have been back
to the prison since for further investigations,

nothing has ever topped
the night of the orbs.

The normal bangings

and, you know,
no individual orbs,

but we've not gotten
anything...

- No.
- ...really big like that.

So, that was really
the biggest thing

we've ever gotten
at the jail. - Yeah.

What the hell is this?

in a remote area
of San Juan County, Utah.

A group of biologists

from the Utah Division
of Wildlife Resources

is surveying bighorn sheep
from a helicopter

when suddenly...

one of biologists notices
something on the ground

that is decidedly
not a bighorn sheep.

Baffled, the group
quickly lands nearby

to investigate.

When they arrive on the scene

they discover
a 10 foot metal structure

planted deep
in the hard stone.

The mysterious structure
is quickly dubbed...

"The Monolith."

News of the discovery

travels around the world
almost instantly

captivating everyone.

What is this thing?

How was it perfectly planted
into the hard rock surface?

And perhaps most importantly,

who put it there?

This mysterious
monolith

presents a lot of questions.

Is it an art project or a hoax
or did it fall out of the sky?

I don't know what this is,

and I'm saying that
as a folklorist

and I'm seeing that
as a Utahn.

It looks
like a futuristic Stonehenge.

It's silver, it's shiny,

it looks to be made
out of aluminum or steel

or some kind of metal.

When we've seen
this type of structure before

it's usually been in movies

and it's thought to be
a device

that aliens
or extraterrestrial beings

would use to communicate
with us humans.

We do know that metal is a conductor for energy,

so is that what this is?

Is this a form of battery
for extraterrestrials?

Is it a listening device?

Is it perhaps
a radio transmission device?

It's just one node

in a network
of transmission devices?

It certainly seems
that this thing was placed in a spot

where it wouldn't be seen.

And chances are
it could've stood there for a long time

had it not been
randomly found

on a happenstance of a flyby.

And relatively speaking,

it already had been there
completely undetected

for a surprising amount
of time.

This monolith has been in the Red Rock desert

since 2016.

People discovered it there
via Google Earth

and backdated it

to somewhere
between the summer and the fall of 2016

where it remained
undiscovered

until November 2020.

That on its own
is fascinating.

Perhaps that's why
this specific location

was chosen
in the first place.

The fact that it ended up

in such a remote location
like Utah...

Utah is a very energetically
high resonating place.

And it hasn't been touched
and cemented over by man

and it's still a place
that people go and hike to

to have, you know,
close connections with nature.

I mean, we're talking
about the region of our country

where if you want to make
a movie about an alien planet,

this is
where you're going to film it.

Utah is the site

where alien planets
get filmed.

Then, just 10 days
after it was discovered,

the mysterious object
disappears.

Whatever the origin is
of this monolith,

we know for a fact
that a human removed it.

And whether he's a prankster
or a concerned citizen,

what if he's merely a pawn
in a much larger game?

I'm not saying it's aliens,
but it's aliens.

If it was the aliens
that put it there,

maybe they put it there

as a human experiment
of some sort.

They want to see
what we do with it.

If that's the case,

that human experiment
is currently expanding.

These monoliths
are very much the new crop circles.

They're popping up
in different places around the world.

Utah desert,

a Romanian forest,

the Isle of Wight in England,

a couple of locations
in California.

What is the origin
of these monoliths

and why are they appearing
where they are?

Not surprisingly,

some of the monoliths
that have popped up since

are merely copycats.

But no one has yet claimed
responsibility

for the original.

At least,
no one here on Earth.

This is a big issue
with the collective man

is that everybody
just kind of brushes things off.

Just like, I live
within this box of reality,

therefore other things
outside that box

is not important
or I won't entertain.

And I think
that's the whole purpose of the monolith.

The whole purpose of this

is for people to think
outside of that box a little bit

to kind of stretch
and wrap their brain

around the possibilities,

which are really endless
on this planet, in this universe.

This is just wild.

A waitress in England gets
a little help from a ghost.

We've all had that moment.

You're completely alone,

but suddenly you feel

the unmistakable presence
of someone else in the room with you.

- Only to turn around...

and find...

nothing.

And yet even then
you're absolutely certain

there was someone
or something there.

A waitress in the UK
recently experienced this phenomenon.

Only this time,

because of a nearby
security camera

she discovered
she really wasn't alone.

October 2019 in York, UK.

While preparing
for the busy day ahead,

Lee David Smith,
an assistant manager

at the Lamb & Lion pub

notices something
on the closed circuit security camera

in the dining room

where his coworker Molly
is cleaning off some tables.

When he rewinds the video
to take a closer look,

what he finds is so shocking

he actually jumps away
from the screen.

Watch the doorway.

Do you see it?

Look closely as the faint
outline of what appears to be

some sort
of ghostly childlike figure

holding a broom-like object
comes into view.

And somehow
Molly doesn't seem to notice.

This appears to have
a humanlike form.

And it actually seems
like it is sweeping

or performing
some sort of task.

It's light,
it's wispy, it's short.

And it almost seems
like it's not entirely complete

as if it's something
that's reaching into the room

almost as if someone
is sticking a broom into the room.

That broom doesn't have
any coherence.

I think I see a broom,

I think I see
some white tufts

and maybe a collar.

I'm looking at
this and I'm pinning it

as like maybe six
or seven-year-old girl

wearing late 1700s,
early 1800s attire

and if you kind of look
at her closely

you can make out
her shoulder and her arms.

She looks like she might have
longer hair

and you can see

like where her dress
kind of flows out.

It's like kind of like
a wire-brimmed skirt.

Not a contemporary look.

But for a pub and inn

that dates back
to the mid-18th century

it might just add up.

Pubs are so frequently

an epicenter
of paranormal activity

because
they are gathering places for the entire community.

Additionally,
they are locations

where immense
human emotion is expressed

from tragedy,
to joy, to sorrow.

All in the same spot
and at the same time.

So, if a spirit
is looking for energy

that they can share in,

that they can utilize
to make themselves more present,

somewhere like a bar or a pub
is really the perfect choice.

But why would
the ghost of what appears to be a young child

be sweeping
the floor of a bar?

Anything that is
over 200 years old

is going to have
an incredible spiritual imprint on it.

And it's super possible

that this child was
residual energy left over

from a family
that may have lived upstairs

and that child came down
and, you know, helped out.

It might have been
her family's bar.

Maybe this energy
sees Molly working

or feels the energy of her

being in a headspace

of like, "Oh,
I got to tidy these up,

I got to bust these tables."

Maybe sparks
the memory of that little girl

who had to tidy things up.

And while Molly is stunned when she sees the footage,

she does recall feeling
the presence of something in the room

even though
it appeared empty at the time.

All of us have experienced

that little tingling sensation
on the back of on our neck,

or felt a chill and maybe
we just dismissed it.

But what is actually
happening right next to us,

that we didn't see?

What should you do

in the event you witnessed
something paranormal?
