I was scared out of my mind.
I mean, am I going crazy?

A terrifying
woodland creature...

...creeps around a forest
in Poland.

You see something
that's pure nightmare fuel.

A Long Island watering hole that serves the living

and the dead.

I saw something
that almost looked like

classic devil-type creature.

A man in Europe reckons with a ghostly roommate.

There is a lot of, like,
intense energy

going on in this apartment.

And even more
paranormal footage you have to see...

...to believe.

Ideally,
moving into a new home is exciting.

Maybe you're
upgrading your space.

Establishing new roots.

Or even planning
to start a new family.

But be careful.

Because sometimes,

there are things
that can get in your way.

Specifically,
paranormal things.

That's what
one woman in Kentucky has been dealing with.

Because her new home

seems to have uninvited guests

who won't leave.

What the.

July, 2020,
in Louisville, Kentucky,

Ashley State
and her husband Kevin

have just moved
into a new town house.

And almost immediately,

Ashley feels there is
something about the place

that seems off.

My name is Ashley State,
and I was the one that captured the footage.

We moved in in July,

and it only took me
maybe two or three days

to really notice that there
was activity in the house.

It really just started with,

well, the cabinets
are left open,

and we didn't
leave those open.

Ashley starts
to record the activity on her cell phone

and home security cameras.

And what she captures is...

disturbing.

There are strange noises

constantly.

Cabinets opening and closing
on their own.

Random items inexplicably
falling to the floor.

And as it continues,

Ashley is getting
more and more freaked out.

And then I would hear
footsteps at night

and my dogs would bark.

So we took
two old cell phones.

I set one on the back
of a couch and just left it,

and we caught what looks like
an apparition or a person

going up the stairs.

Look closely...

at what indeed
appears to be a figure

walking up the staircase.

We set up more cameras.

The more we set them,
the more we caught.

And the more
evidence they catch,

the more convinced they are

that what they are
dealing with

is paranormal.

These series of clips
have some pretty incredible evidence in them.

Now, you see moving objects,

you see things
sliding across tables,

cabinets begin to open up.

If that happens once or twice,
that's really not enough

to assume that
there is a haunting.

But when you have this happen
over and over again

in ways that can't be
explained with simply gravity,

that's when you know
there might be something going on here.

Then, one night,
something happens

that nearly sends Ashley
over the edge.

She hears loud noises
coming from downstairs.

And when she goes
to check it out...

What the.

...finds her kitchen
in total disarray.

When we captured
the cabinets opened

and, you know, like,
the faucet on,

I was scared out of my mind.

I mean, am I going crazy?

What the.

It's just a crazy amount
of activity

to sort of
all happen simultaneously.

What the.

It's just got to be
a very disorienting

and terrifying experience.

It felt like
it was kind of spiraling out of control.

I literally would be in tears
some nights

and just sit there and cry,

and think about, you know,
how do I get myself out of this situation.

There's got to be something,
you know,

I'm searching for answers
the whole way through.

In hopes
of getting some clarity,

Ashley has an empath
come to her house

to assess the situation.

This is where
I hear things running back and forth.

But the biggest clue comes from someone

much closer to home.

A former manager
of the community they live in.

She sent me
a message and said,

"Hey, just so you know
you're not crazy,

there's several units,
hotspots in the community

where people will move in,

they notice the activity,
and they move out."

Apparently,
I'm not the only unit.

I'm not really sure why
there is activity here,

because it's not like
an old property.

I mean,
these were built in 2014.

There's a misconception
that a place has to be old in order to be haunted.

However, that's not the case.

New locations can likewise
have paranormal activity.

Whether we're talking
about psychokinetic energy

or whether we're talking about

a manifested presence
of some kind...

...people can draw that energy
or bring it with them,

or it can be something
that exists in what used to be the open space

where these town houses
now are built.

I've tried to
rationalize that, you know,

my sister is telling me,

maybe you live, you know,
in another dimension,

and it's just
the walls are thin.

Maybe you live on a hill
and things just fall open and fall out.

I just don't know,
and I've had so many opinions thrown at me

that it's just kind of
like a garbled mess.

Give us this day
our daily bread

and forgive us
our trespasses...

And at this point,
Ashley has reached her limit.

I'm just tired
of dealing with it, and I want away from it.

What's this doing on?

It's my advice almost always
that if you don't feel comfortable,

the best thing to do
is get out.

Which is exactly
what they're doing.

We are
actually looking farther away from Louisville,

and just have a space
that we can call our own.

Of course, you know,
I'm leary about anything,

you know, I would hope
that I wouldn't run into anything like this again.

Terrifying sounds
in the darkness...

...that lead to this.

Whatever it is,
it's definitely not human.

so terrifying,

that it unsettled you

that horrific sound

to its source.

it would have taken you?

One man in Poland
knows the answer to that question.

Because he did follow
a terrifying sound...

...and found something
that will haunt him forever.

January, 2020,

near Lodz, Poland.

It's late at night,

and after hearing
strange sounds coming from their barn,

two men grab their flashlights
and check it out.

Hearts pounding, they slowly
open the barn door.

Listen carefully
as something inside

makes a strange
gurgling noise.

Still, they enter the barn.

Then...

Watch again, in slow motion,

as something seems to have
just fallen off

this stone structure

and scampered
around the back of it.

They point their camera
toward the top of the structure...

when...

Look closely,

as the head of someone,
or something,

pops up from the roof
of the stone structure

scaring the men senseless

and out of the barn.

This is another classic
horror movie setup.

There is an animalistic growl
coming from this barn,

and yet the man
continues to explore.

And then he sees something
that's pure nightmare fuel.

It looks like it must have
been feeding on something.

The sounds it was making,

maybe it had
some kind of a kill.

Which is really terrifying.

This just seemed to be
a head that raised up.

And I got the sensation
that you were only seeing

a minute portion of it.

The creature
is not seen again...

until two months later.

When the man who filmed
the first encounter

hears the same
horrifying sounds...

...this time coming
from nearby woods.

He turns on his flashlight
hoping to get a better look

at whatever is out there.

And suddenly...

...spots it.

But he has no idea
what he is seeing.

So he moves a little closer.

Take a look, zoomed in,

as a strange hairless
crouching creature,

perhaps the same one
that was in the barn,

shrieks at the man...

...sending him
running away again as fast as possible.

This appears to be

some sort of hairless,
pale creature,

bald, with glowing eyes,

almost goblin-esque.

Whatever it is,
it's definitely not human.

It's all bent over,

but you see
gangly arms and legs

kind of poking out
from this mass,

that to me suggest

that this is a sinewy,
skinnier creature.

The sounds are terrifying,

the visual is terrifying.

So, what is this thing?

There are so many creatures
of Polish folklore

that this could be.

My mind went to the Leshy,

a forest entity

that can serve as a protector
of woodland creatures

but also appear as demonic
to interlopers.

There is this one legend
in Poland called the Bebok,

which is kind of like
a bogeyman.

And it's supposed to be
the souls of dead children.

So this thing
is kinda terrifying.

To be honest, it kind of
ties into something

I've started uncovering
here in the States.

I've received
several reports lately

of these creatures
called the Pale Walkers.

Now, essentially,
they're skinny, humanoid,

they are white
or pink in color,

they seem to have big ears,
no clothes,

and they kind of
act the same way this does.

They show up at nights
and they stay in the distance.

This could be
an inter-dimensional creature

that's not supposed to be
within our space,

yet here it is.

And imagine
how terrifying it is

to be a creature on a planet
you don't know or understand

and you're being pursued by

what he would consider
would be an alien.

Like, what if
we're the aliens?

Unfortunately,
we'll likely never know what this thing was,

unless someone is able
to capture even more evidence.

But don't hold your breath.

...by a ghost.

Bars, by design,

are chock-full
of emotional energy.

Some people come to celebrate,
some to mourn,

some are there simply to be
in the presence of others.

But each person
leaves behind residual energy

that lingers forever,

and over time, that energy
can result in a haunting.

Some more intense than others.

Just consider the case
of one particular bar

on Long Island.

October, 2010,

in Smithtown, New York.

At Katie's Bar, a popular
watering hole on Long Island,

a bartender named Christine
is working her shift,

when suddenly...

Did you see it?

Watch again, zoomed in,

as a glass flies off the shelf
behind Christine on its own,

hitting her on the backside.

Two months later,
again at Katie's,

as a man in a baseball cap

awaits the attention
of a bartender...

Did you catch that one?

Watch again,

as a soda gun lifts itself
out of its holster,

suspends itself in mid-air,

and finally,
falls to the ground.

January, 2012,
at Katie's yet again.

As a bartender chats
with a patron...

Watch, as another glass
flies off the shelf,

hitting the bartender directly
on the backside.

But this time,
it's much creepier.

Watch to the right
of the frame

as a phantom face
seems to be observing

as the glass
flies off the shelf.

This is just a sampling

of the strange
supernatural phenomena

that has been captured
at Katie's.

And owner Brian Karppinen...

has seen it all.

My name is Brian Karppinen,

and the videos are from my bar
Katie's at Smithtown.

It takes a lot to shock me,

but a lot of people
who come in,

they feel things,
or they sense things.

There is movement
where it sets off all these alarms and stuff,

so much where the police come

and I owe $2,000 in fines

for the police showing up.

And I have to go to court
and explain to the judge,

you know, it's a haunted bar,

you know,
what do you want me to do?

So, like, there's a lot of
, dude.

And it's really crazy,
and, you know, just really spooky.

We're seeing
sort of a classic attention-grabbing

type of activity.

Glasses are being
smashed on the ground,

objects are moving,

the drink dispensers

are clearly being
lifted up out of place,

to the point where patrons
are sort of jumping up

and pointing, and noticing.

I think the fact that we're
seeing a light anomaly

come out of the soda gun

as it lifts off the holder
and falls,

there is more than just
the objects moving on its own.

You're seeing the culprit.

You're seeing
this light anomaly

interact with that object.

The activity looks like it's connected to the idea

of serving a drink.

On one hand, these glasses
are being slid from the shelf.

And on another,
we see the soda gun.

Maybe there's a ghost

that just wants to lend a hand
behind the bar,

and serve up some drinks.

It's not like the same thing
happens all the time,

other than the glasses.
That's constant.

And then,
there's the face.

The face, a lot of people were seeing that

on reflective surfaces
for about a two, three-month period,

and then
it never happened again.

I saw something
that almost looked like

classic devil-type creature,

like, almost a horse-ish
or goat-ish face.

We see a mouth with
sort of a prominent muzzle.

It did not look human to me.

It's twirling,
it's undulating.

Some people say it's a face,

some people say it's a little
animal of some sort.

It's really difficult
to see what it is,

but there's something
there moving.

And I just can't tell you
what it is.

Perhaps the bar's
unfortunate history

can give us some clues.

This bar was built
on the same foundation

as a hotel that was called
the Trainor's Hotel.

It burnt down
December 5th, 1909.

So, a lot of feelings are that

the darker element
might have something to do

with that hotel fire.

And then,
there's an even darker element

having to do with someone
named Charlie Klein,

who owned a bar that was
near this same site

almost a century ago.

Charlie Klein was arrested
for serving during prohibition

to G-men,

and he was having
some financial difficulties

and he, unfortunately,
took his own life

just a few months before
prohibition ended.

It's kind of
hard to say who is haunting your place,

but when you have this sort of

multi-faceted and sometimes
tragic history,

that'd be
the first place I'd look.

A burnt-down hotel,

a speakeasy owner
who commits suicide,

there's more than one thing
happening in this space.

If the activity really is
being caused by a former employee,

that actually makes
a lot of sense.

It feels like his spirit

is still trying to
do his night shift.

And because he is a spirit,
he isn't able to actually

perform his duties properly,

which results in
a bunch of glasses falling on the ground.

The history
of a place like this,

one that has some tragedy,
maybe even a suicide,

can contribute
to the initial haunting,

but I feel it's the patrons
that keep it going.

Brian agrees,

which is why Katie's
and its patrons

welcome
the supernatural reputation.

We do embrace it
because I'd say nine out of ten of them

really enjoy the folklore
or whatever

A lot of people
are fascinated with the other side,

with the spirit world.

We still don't know
where we come from

and where we go when we pass.

So, to have
something like Katie's

be almost this magnet
for people to come

and have their own
personal experiences there,

have a paranormal experience
at Katie's

is something that people
will like to knock off their bucket list.

is haunted

by the spirit
of a former tenant.

Of course.

Home...

There really is
no place like it.

It's where you feel
comfortable, safe,

and hopefully,

free from any terrifying
paranormal activity.

But be warned...

Under the right circumstances,

all it takes is one
small seemingly insignificant incident

to unleash a monster.

That's what happened
to one man in the Netherlands,

when a small leak
in the unit above him

brought something
into his home...

...that terrified him.

October, 2020, in Haarlem,
the Netherlands.

Hedde Amama
has lived comfortably in his apartment

for 15 years.

And then, something happened.

My name is Hedde Amama.

Hedde suspects
that Binky's odd behavior

is connected to the work
that was done upstairs.

If this building
needed renovation,

someone's coming in
and ripping out old material

and putting in new material,

that sort of activity
that really

alters the bones of a place,

changes the foundation of it,

really shakes up the energy.

And that can be
a positive experience,

and that can be
a negative experience.

For Hedde,
it's been decidedly negative,

and absolutely paranormal.

And then,
late one night,

Hedde captures this...

Yeah. Oh, no.

Huh?

Hedde is freaked out.

And unfortunately for him,
it's not over yet.

Later that night,
whatever opened that door

returns.

Huh?

Whoa. What?

Whoa. What?

There is a lot of,
like, intense energy

going on in this apartment.

I don't know whether
I would want to even stay in there or not

after seeing this video
of the door opening and closing.

Whatever presence is here,

it seems incredibly corporeal.

It doesn't seem
like an apparition

or a residual presence.

It seems like a person...

or a creature.

Something is rattling
that door handle.

Something
or someone.

Hedde has an idea

and it has to do with
the sudden unexpected death

of the apartment's
previous tenant.

A lot of times when
you have people die like an untimely death,

they don't really know
they're dead

and maybe this guy is,

you know,
just in this apartment

because he doesn't know
where to go,

or doesn't know
how to move on.

But Hedde isn't
waiting for the ghost to figure it out.

He's looking for a new place
to live and until then...

Whoa. What?

A cosmonaut spots this UFO

from the International
Space Station.

We know there's
a lot of stuff floating around in the cosmos,

but none of it flies
like what we see here.

The International
Space Station

has been occupied
by astronauts since the year 2000.

Orbiting roughly 250 miles
above the Earth,

circling our planet
about 16 times a day.

Those onboard,

not only have
an incomparable view of the planets and stars,

but are extremely familiar
with any and all objects

within our immediate
atmosphere.

Right?

Well, maybe not.

Because one Russian cosmonaut
aboard the vessel,

captured something
so mysterious,

it's left both he
and his colleagues completely baffled.

August 19, 2020,

on board the
International Space Station,

orbiting the Earth,

Ivan Vogner,
is a Russian cosmonaut,

researching new techniques

to improve photography
of the Earth from space.

One of these techniques
involves programming his camera

to shoot a time-lapse sequence
of the aurora australis,

also known as
the southern lights.

But when the space station
is in orbit above Antarctica,

Ivan's camera captures,

something a little
more startling than the southern lights.

Watch closely.

Did you catch that?

Watch again, in slow motion,

as a string of what
looks to be four or five synchronized lights,

moves along the glowing curve
of the Earth...

then quickly disappears.

So, what are we seeing here?

We know there's a lot of stuff
floating around in the cosmos.

There are asteroids,
and meteorites,

and space debris,
and satellites,

but none of it flies
like what we see here.

The fact that
they move in such unison

and you don't see
the lights separate,

or going at different speed,
leads me to believe that

we're looking at
one solid object.

This craft is
hundreds of miles,

if not thousands
of miles long.

I don't know what this is,
but there's obviously something there.

When Ivan converged
the time-lapse to real time,

he discovers that
the strange light formation

is visible
for nearly one full minute.

But even then, he has no idea
what he's seeing.

Stunned, he submits the video
to Russian officials,

hoping for an explanation.

It is one thing
when an intelligent

and rational everyday person

looks up at the sky and says,
"What the heck is that?"

It is a whole other ballgame

when a cosmonaut,
living on the ISS,

looks into space
and sees something that he can't explain.

This is a man who is

pretty well aware
of the types of crafts

that are in outer space,

especially the ones
that are manmade.

We have seen videos taken
from the International Space Station

that appear to be UFOs

entering and exiting
our atmosphere

from vectors that
don't make sense.

They're not manmade crafts.

And these have been earmarked
as mysteries.

And as of
the end of 2020,

there's been no conclusive
statement released

from Russian officials or NASA

regarding the mysterious
string of lights.

This is not a game or a prank

played by some
random YouTuber.

Due to the seriousness of the
International Space Program

and the Russian Space Program,

if this could be easily
dismissed or explained,

it would have been.

The fact
that they haven't

drawn attention to what
this thing is, tells me

they probably don't know
what this thing is either,

which kinda scares me a bit.

Scary or not,

it's almost certainly

not the last time
we'll see something like it.

Mankind is still
in its infancy as a space-faring race.

There's an entire galaxy
around us

and a universe beyond that,

so we're just scratching
the surface

of what we're seeing
in our own atmosphere.

These lights,

these might be
part of a puzzle that spans light years,

that reach to other worlds

that we're only getting
a taste of now.

Imagine what
we'll find out tomorrow.

The jinn...

Shapeshifting, invisible
creatures that have occupied

Ahab Khwazime
is a paranormal investigator,

exploring an abandoned home
with a dark past.

According to legend,

a young girl
who once lived there

was tormented and possessed

by an entity known as a jinn.

As Ahab walks
through the house,

he recounts
parts of the story.

Jinn are
elemental spirits

that are somewhere in-between
angels and demons.

These are
very powerful beings,

much more powerful
than us humans

and they're highly respected
in the Middle East for good reason.

Ahab is determined
to make contact with whatever is here...

Jinn or otherwise...

After a few minutes
of looking around,

he asks a simple question.

Did you catch that?

Listen again, carefully,

as a young female voice
responds, "I'm here",

just before a door slams.

We do hear
a female voice

and it sounds much closer

than the other noise
that we're hearing,

as if somebody has
come wandered in

and is trying to
interact with him.

Was that leftover energy

from a possessed girl
that once lived there?

Is that an intelligent

or an aberrational
haunting happening,

you know, in real time
as he's recording?

I don't know. I can't answer
either of those questions.

What I can say is I believe

he genuinely captured
a disembodied voice.

Or this could be
a little bit more malevolent in nature.

It could be this entity,
the jinn,

luring him, bringing
him forward by saying,

"Oh, I'm just a girl.
I'm a victim. I was possessed,"

to get him to drop his guard

to be able to do something
more nefarious to him.

Either way, Ahab is
starting to get some bad vibes

as he walks into
what he believes to be the young girl's bedroom.

There's a lot of
different researchers,

some are more sensitive
than others.

They follow their gut

and they can feel the presence
of somebody else there.

Ahab's gut
tells him to stand in front of a mirror.

Then...

Watch again
as a shadowy figure with long hair

emerges right behind him.

I don't know
what we're looking at,

but it's scary as hell.

Haunts are
always like this

layer upon layer upon
layer of energy

until it gets to the ultimate
point of manifestation.

And I think that's what
you're seeing here.

If a young girl truly was possessed in that room,

then, maybe, all of that

negative energy is still
lingering inside there.

Ahab is
totally freaked out

and makes his way back
down the hallway,

but it's not over yet.

Watch closely.

Watch again as
a small childlike figure

appears to poke it's head out
from a doorway.

Then, quickly retreats.

If you're investigating
a house

and you see a small child
peer at you

from down a hallway,

chances are you're
absolutely not alone.

You have no idea
what else is around you.

Regardless,
Ahab rushes to confront the apparition.

And finds...

nothing.

But at this point,
Ahab has had enough.

He ends his
investigation for the night.

One might ask
the question,

"Was he in any
real danger here?"

I'd say, "Yes."

Anytime you put yourself out
into these unknown spaces,

you are taking a risk.

What should you do
in the event

you witness
something paranormal?

Here are some tips
