Original subtitles

- Hey, Barry! - Get him here.

- That's what that says? - Get. Him. Here.

That scene is bullshit, Sally.

Look, I'll change your name, okay?

How about you just grow up and don't do it?!

Do you think I'm a bad person, Mr. Cousineau?

You did a terrible thing,

but do I think that defines you?

No.

We're gonna work through this. Now, I bill my private classes,

so I'm just going to go and get that ledger.

I got you, Berkman.

Hey, Fuches, why don't you give us a moment?

That's Ronny Proxin, he's doing my wife.

If you get rid of him, all of this goes away.

What?!

- Synced & corrected by MementMori - -- www.addic7ed.com --

Don't freak out. Don't freak out.

I've been sent here

by Detective John Loach to kill you.

I'm not gonna do that.

Your name's Ronny Proxin, right?

- Uh-huh. - Oh, good.

That would've been weird. Um...

And you're dating Diana, Loach's ex-wife?

- Uh-huh. - Okay, well. Go Diana.

Um, do you have family out of state?

- Uh-huh. - Do you mind me asking where?

- Chicago. - Chicago. I love Chicago.

Okay, so I have a car out there.

I want you to drive to Chicago,

and I need you to stay there for about a year.

Now, I'm gonna send you money.

I'm gonna send you money.

It's just that the guy that controls my money...

We're in a really weird place right now, okay?

And, uh, he's actually...

He's actually, uh...

He's out there right now in the car.

And, um, he thinks I'm in here killing you.

I'm not. I'm calling an audible right now.

I'm just letting you know, when we get out there,

he might seem a little confused

and you might see us argue.

Just so you know, I got it under wraps, all right?

Do you have a suitcase?

Hey, whose taekwondo trophies are these?

Right on.

Right on. Well...

Good for you, man.

I'm sure they got taekwondo in Chicago, so you...

Whoa, look at that. You got medals, too. Shit.

Wow.

Trophies and medals for taekwondo.

Sweet.

Uh...

Could I get my stuff from the bathroom?

Yeah, oh, yeah. You'll need that.

Yeah. No worries.

Yeah, man, the, uh...

drive to Chicago from LA, that can be pretty long.

Sometimes I do Google Maps and Waze at the same time.

It's kind of a little fun game to see which one's...

Yeah, hello?

All right, man...

All right, we good?

Listen...

We good? No?

No, Ronny! Ronny! No!

Ronny, no!

Okay, dude...

No! No! Aah! Ronny!

No. No...

Listen, man...

Aw, fuck!

Aah!

Hmm.

All right, Ronny...

Ronny, you're hurt, man.

Your windpipe's broke.

Your windpipe's busted, man.

See?

See, your windpipe's busted.

No, no, no, no! Aah!

Aah! Aah! Aah!

Aah! Ronny! Aah!

Ronny?

Oh, fuck!

Fuck.

Dad?

Dad?

Little girl?

Little girl?

I know this looks bad.

Hey, um...

I'm gonna take you to Chicago.

To see your relatives?

Girl?

Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you.

Little gir...

Oh, no.

Oh, no. Shit.

Wh... wha... ?

I thought you were a dog.

Aah! Shit!

Get off me! Get... Get off me!

Get off!

Sorry. I'm sorry.

Honey? Honey, are you okay?

Hey, where are you? Ow!

Great. Come here.

Oww!

Okay, listen. How about this...

Oh!

Shit!

Okay. Okay.

Okay.

Aw, shit.

Shit.

Shit!

Aah, shit.

What the fuck?

Aiyee!

Okay.

Aah, shit.

Shit.

Aah.

Come on.

- Okay. You do it? - Yes!

- Is he dead? - Just drive.

Yeah.

- What the hell happened, huh? - I'm cut really bad, Fuches.

- I'm trying not to freak out. - Fine, fine. But he's dead, right?

- Barry, is Ronny dead? - Yes.

Yes! I know you're hurt,

but, fuck yeah, baby! We're off the hook.

- I'll call Loach, let him know. - No, I need to go to a hospital.

Okay, okay.

But, I mean, we're free baby!

- I was so worried about you! - Fuches, Fuches. I'm in bad shape.

I really need to go to a hospital.

Okay! Yeah, I'll take you to a hospital.

No, I won't take you to a hospital. Too many questions.

We'll go to this drugstore here.

- I need stitches, Fuches. - I can do stitches!

Yeah, right here. Here we go.

If you're gonna do stitches,

- I'm gonna need a needle and thread. - Uh-huh.

- And maybe, you know... - Yeah.

- ... something to disinfect it. - I got it! Yeah.

Yeah, yeah. Got it, got it, got it, got it. No worries.

No worries. Needle and thread.

- Right. - I'm gonna pull up right here.

Just a sec, and... there we go.

How's that?

- What'd you want me to get? - Needle and thread!

- Okay. I understand. - For stitches!

- Because I'm dying! - Yeah, needle and thread.

I'll get one of those little hotel ones, you know.

Already have the needle in it, right?

I'm gonna get a Red Bull, some, uh,

I don't know, some Corn Nuts. You want anything?

- No. - All right, all right.

All right, um, nope.

Um, yep, yeah. Yep, yep, yep.

- Hello? - Is it done?

Listen, Loach. I'm bleeding really bad man.

Is it done?

Fuck you.

There it is.

Ah, there you are.

Let's take a look. See what they did to you.

Here, scooch forward. There you go.

Pull it up, come on. There you go.

Oh, Jesus!

What'd he do? Hit you with a fucking cleaver?

It wasn't Ronny.

What do you mean it wasn't Ronny?

No, it was his daughter.

I think he... he trains her or something,

'cause she was like a... like a feral mongoose.

I get it.

I know you don't want to do this work anymore, Barry.

I mean, killing a man, I understand that.

That's kind of why we're put on this Earth.

We're the strong, the disposable.

But killing a child? Jesus.

Barry, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Well, if you weren't fucked up before, you are now.

I didn't kill her.

What?

She attacked me and ran away.

- We gotta go kill her. - What?

Yeah, we gotta kill her right now.

- Wait, what do you mean? - We gotta fucking...

- I need that! - She can identify you, fucker!

- Jesus Christ, we're going now. - What do you mean we're going now?

- We're going right now. - Go where?

We have to go find her! You can kill her!

We go find her, you fucking kill her.

She could be anywhere. What do you mean go find her?

- Here we go. - I'm dying, Fuches!

- I'm fucking dying! - You're fine!

- What do you mean I'm fine? - You're fine, you're fine!

- We gotta go right fucking now! - I gotta go to a hospital!

- Is that her? - It's a trash can!

- Not her! - You gotta chill out!

I'm gonna find her! Is that her?

I'm not a child.

There she is!

Go get her, Barry!

I'm not killing a kid, Fuches.

Plus, I don't...

I don't think she's of this world.

"Of this world?" Jesus. You don't wanna do it, fine.

I'll get her off the curb and I'll get her in the car.

No, don't go out there. Fuches, don't go out there.

- Fuches! - I got it.

I gotcha.

Hi there, girl.

Good girl!

Hey, I don't wanna sound like a creep,

but you wanna get in the car with me and my friend?

I got Corn Nuts. See, right here.

They look like they... No, no, no, no!

Don't go run away! Don't...

I'm a nice guy! Wha...

- Okay, she's not human. - That's what I said, man.

- She's something else. I don't know what. - That's what I told you, dude.

What do you... what do you want to do then, huh?

I mean, in an ideal world, we just burn down the house.

Oh, I know. You know what?

We had a skunk in the basement once.

What we did was, we took this fire extinguisher.

We were gonna hit it, obviously, on the head...

All right, that's good.

All right. Buddy. Buddy, wake up.

Wake up. Hey!

Hi.

I stitched you up. You're all good.

It hurts.

I know, I know, but you should be good to go up on the roof.

She's still up there.

Oh, that's freaky.

Yeah. Looks like a little gargoyle up there.

Ow! My God, what'd you do?

Huh? All right. I'll take a look. Hang on, hang on, hang on.

Okay.

Just pull it up real slow.

- Ow! - Real slow.

Oh. That... looks good to me.

Oh, that's... that looks really good, yeah.

Oh, shit. You broke the stitches!

- What? - I got something here that will...

- Aah! - Oh, okay.

- Hang on, I got something right here. - Fuck.

Yep, yep. It's gonna help you, it's gonna feel really good.

It's gonna be a little cold, but there you go.

- Oh! Aah! What is that? - Yeah. Yeah, it's superglue.

- Superglue?! - There you go.

I'm filling up the hole. There it is.

- It's perfect! - Shit!

That's nice. Okay, here we go.

- Here we go. - Oh.

That's it.

- Don't touch me there. - Okay, okay. I'm good.

- Fuck! - Good. Okay?

- You good? - No!

Okay. Now...

Up you go.

Fuck you! I'm not killing her, man!

What do you want me to do about it?

I could call Hank. He could send over one of the Chechens

with a scope rifle or something.

We could plink her right off the roof.

- That's all I can do. - Oh, no, man. Those guys can't hit shit.

I've been training them for weeks.

I'm sorry, what? You...

You've been training... Wait a minute.

Wait a minute.

You've been doing contract work without me?

- You're fucking cutting me out? - Oh, will you fucking relax, man?

It was a one-time deal, all right?

Hank has a heroin shipment going through a monastery.

He needs an army. I'm training his guys.

I do that and then I'm done, okay?

You're gonna walk away from an army and heroin?

I don't think so! Uh-uh. I'm gonna call Hank,

we're gonna set the whole thing up.

- It's her! - Wait.

- Hold on! - Wait, wait, wait!

- You heard that, right? - You sure you heard something?

- I didn't hear anything. - I heard something, I swear to God.

I didn't see anything fall off the roof.

I didn't either.

There had to be something there.

Maybe it was an acorn.

I heard something. I'm not a moron.

Aah!

Oh!

Barry.

Kill her.

Just take her off your face.

- I can't. - Why?

Because I superglued my hands to the steering wheel.

Oh, shit.

Listen, how about just very slowly shake your head?

You know, just kind of...

I don't feel comfortable doing that.

Oh, oh! Easy, girl, easy!

Ooh, who's a good girl? Who's a good girl?

Easy, girl, easy. That's good, that's good.

Barry, get your gun

and shoot her off my face.

I'm telling you, man, I can't do that.

Now is not the time to grow a heart, dipshit!

Shit!

What are you?!

I don't care. Just anything.

Paint thinner, nail polish remover. I don't give a fuck!

- Did you hear me? - Yes, I'll see what they have.

- Fucking go! - All right.

I can't get stuck in this shit all night. Go!

- All right, just relax. - Go!

Jesus!

Ronny?

Hey, man!

Hey, I'm... I'm the guy that was in your house.

Listen, I think we got off on the wrong foot, okay?

Your daughter's fine, and...

Ronny, come on, man. Don't be an asshole.

What, am I gonna fight you in the fucking store?

Hey! Ronny.

Just relax, okay?

- Chill. Calm down. - Hey, hey, hey! Come on, guys!

Hiyah!

Fucking hell.

Listen, Ronny. People are running out of the store.

You're causing a scene.

Listen to me, man.

They're calling the cops.

Chill the fuck out, all right?

Listen, the Chicago deal is still on the table.

I got a guy out there, he's literally glued to the car.

He... Ronny.

Ronny!

Ronny, clearly you're not...

You're not at a hundred percent, all right? Just...

Your throat's broken, you're stoned.

What the fuck is that?

- What? - Hurry, hurry!

Barry, you fucking idiot!

What... Aah!

God, I gotta go!

Aah!

Shit!

Fuck!

Come on!

Hey!

All right, all right. You want this?

Fuck you!

Come on, man.

Fuck.

Get the f...

Get off me!

Ronny, listen, man.

Listen, let me just go out the back.

Loach...

- Sir, drop your weapon! - What are you doing?

I said drop your weapon!

- Shit. - Stop!

- I said stop! - Shit, what the fuck are you doing?

Loach! Jesus Christ!

Okay, okay.

Shots fired! Shots fired!

Go in.

- That was him? - Yeah. Clear.

He's dead.

Got two down.

Shit.

Fuck me. Fuck.

Barry, what the fuck are you doing? Get in the car!

Barry, buddy, we have to go!

- Synced & corrected by MementMori - -- www.addic7ed.com --

- Hank. - Akhmal, I'm getting your stuff, okay?

Esther and her men are moving back to monastery.

They're leaving us?

Oh, no.

I can barely talk about this stuff with you.

How am I supposed to get up there

and just say all of this in front of them?

I mean, what if they judge me?

I think if you can tell the truth... you should.

I can't work with you anymore, man.

Oh, Jesus Christ! Not this thing again.

Why?! Why? What have I done?

Name me one thing I've done.

You wore a wire.

I wore a what?

Barry.

Kill her.

Just take her off your face.

- I can't. - Why?

Because I superglued my hands to the steering wheel.

Oh, shit.

Yeah, it's a weird one.

I remember before this season started,

we had talked about

it'd be nice to just have an episode,

if we can afford it, that's kind of in real time,

a hit that goes wrong.

So he's dead, right?

In season one, Wade Allen,

our stunt coordinator, said,

"I'm friends with this family and they have this little girl

who's really good at stunts, and she's good at karate.

If you ever need a little girl,

let me know.

Then when the Ronny Proxin thing was kinda happening,

those two things started to line up together

and went, "Oh, what if that's his daughter?"

She was like a... like a feral mongoose.

I mean, it was really fun...

getting to work with Jessie and Daniel.

Jessie plays Lily, and Daniel plays Ronny.

Those actors are just phenomenal.

Ronny. Come on, man. Don't be an asshole.

There's a scene where Lily runs away from Fuches

and scrambles up a tree,

and what you probably don't know watching it

is that that tree is CG,

and then what we actually had

was this greenscreen pole

with a greenscreen branch going over to the house.

That was a thing where Aida Rodgers, our producer,

was like, "So, we'll find a house with a tree."

And we found one, and it was not great,

and then we were walking by a house and Aida went,

"You'd want it to be something like this house,

but the tree's there, right?

Yeah, I think we need to build a tree."

And it was just that awful, like, dead silence.

Well, the people in production

have to make a decision at that point, right?

- Yeah. - Like, is it gonna be less work for me

- to talk this idiot out of this? - Yes.

Or is it gonna be less work to just

- do what this idiot wants? - Yes.

Okay, she's not human.

I also directed this episode, and I was just

completely, totally

a shell of a human being by the end of it.

I was so tired.

Well, you... you wrote it, also.

This was like, your solo album in the middle of it.

What'd you want me to get?

- Needle and thread! - Okay.

- For stitches! - I understand.

- Because I'm dying! - Yeah.

The toughest thing about this episode writing-wise,

was trying to find, well, what's the emotional thread

that's gonna get us through? And it was like,

well, this should be about Barry and Fuches.

You know, Barry again realizing Fuches has always been

the person in his life.

He was there when he got back from Afghanistan.

I love the way Stephen looks in that dream,

how he looks all like, in dark.

- I mean, he looks like a... - Yeah.

... like a demon or something.

But Barry, at the end of this episode,

kinda realizes, like, "Oh, that was...

that was going into the arms of the devil."

You know what I mean?

It's just kind of like a different episode.

You know, some people might like it,

and some people might be like,

"What the fuck?"
