to see what exactly
we're working on militarily.

paranormal footage

Every day, countless people
witness something

they believe is paranormal,

and with more cameras out there
recording than ever,

it's becoming clear with each
new video,

they may be right.

For most parents who take their
kids to an outdoor playground,

the only real dangers
they have to worry about

are their little angels
getting some minor bruises

and skinned knees,

but one Rhode Island dad
was recently confronted

by an entirely
new playground fear --

ghosts.

Conimicut Point, Rhode Island,
is a quiet stretch of land

where the Providence River
meets the Narragansett Bay.

It has a picturesque beachfront
park with a small playground.

It's everything a child
could want,

but when Scott Denton arrived
with his kids in June of 2016,

it also seemed
to have something else.

- All right.
- This is scary.

We're at the playground,
and the kids

don't want to go anymore
because look at this

This is real.
Look at this.

One of the swings in
the entirely empty playground

was moving while everything else
remained completely still.

The family stayed
in the parking lot,

looking for some
logical explanation,

but couldn't find one.

There's no wind out here
right now.

There's no one
on it either.

Look, there's nobody on it.

- It's just moving.
- There's no wind.

Look at the other swings,
and look at this

There's nobody out there.

This has been going on
for about 2 minutes.

There's no wind right now,

and this thing is swinging
like crazy. I'm not...

Oh, my God,
it's going faster.

It's going faster.

- Look at it.
- I know.

What makes this footage
interesting is,

when the father pans,
you see the trees.

You see the leaves,
but nothing is shaking.

It's just this
one specific swing.

It's moving around as though

something invisible
is pushing it.

There's no wind right now,

and this thing is swinging
like crazy. I'm not...

Oh, my God,
it's going faster.

- Look at it.
- I know.

You want to go
to a different playground?

There's nobody out there.

It's hard to say what that was,

the largest swing just moving
violently and crazy.

Ghosts aren't real,

or wouldn't
the other swings be moving?

Every time the man pans back,

the swing seems to have lost no
momentum or none of its energy.

It's still just going
pretty consistently.

Playgrounds can have a
reputation for being haunted,

and it makes sense

because so many hauntings
are emotion-related,

and in a playground,
you have a lot of people

in heightened states
of emotion.

Usually, children
are having fun.

They get injured on playgrounds,

so there's some unhappiness
as well,

and that can create
an energetic residue

that can literally stick
to the landscape

and can contribute
to haunting phenomena.

Perhaps it's a residual
haunting of a kid

who maybe had an accident
around the playground.

Maybe they hit their head.

Maybe they passed on,
and this is where they reside.

What is the wind doing?

Legit...crazy.

I saw the swing.

Jenna, you can't go
on that today.

I really liked that it was more
of something interesting

and not scary.

The father was like,
"Well, maybe not today.

This is not your swing set,
so another time."

I liked that reaction
to spiritual phenomena

because I don't think
it's something we should fear.

I think it's something we should
accept in our day-to-day lives.

While the family was
curious enough

to stay and film
this eerie phenomenon,

they never left the car,

not wanting to find out
what might happen if they had.

I don't know if it was the right
decision to stay in the car.

I might get out, go try
to make a new friend,

try to talk to it
a little bit.

Be kind, and you never know.

Maybe the kid can have
its own little ghost buddy.

There's nobody out there.

The Pentagon --

the epicenter of America's
military operations.

Behind these steel,
reinforced concrete walls

are some of the most
powerful secrets in the world.

Governments around the globe
would love

to get a look
inside this modern-day fortress,

but a recent sighting
above the Pentagon

has many wondering if something
extraterrestrial has its sights

on those secrets as well.

In December 2018,
friends Richard and Nick

were driving through
Washington, D.C.,

when they noticed
something peculiar in the sky

across the Potomac River.

Oh, man, what is this?

This is a
alien invasion.

Off in the distance
above the Pentagon,

of all places, is a hovering,
slightly rotating pyramid shape.

What is this?
I mean...

What the]
is that?

Now, it seems to be large.

It seems to be semi-translucent.

It's hard to really
get a fix on.

There's no lights on it.

There's nothing
reflecting off of it.

Where is it?

Give me the camera.

I got you, baby.

I see it.

Turn right. Turn right.
Turn right.

Do you see it?

This UFO looks to be possibly
two football fields long,

obviously triangular.

Triangular-shaped and
even pyramid-shaped UFOs

have been seen
in various locations.

Are they secret
terrestrial craft

or are they something
from another world?

Man, do you see it?

At first you think
reflection on the window,

but they drive around.

They look at it
from different angles.

They took the camera away from
the windshield

and move it to the side window,
and they still saw it.

The thing that struck me
about this video

is how consistent the shot is

and how incredibly difficult
it would have been to composite

something like that
into the frame.

The fact that they
changed directions,

and it didn't,
it stayed stationary,

means that it couldn't be
a reflection.

It was something out there.

Richard and Nick
weren't the only ones to witness

this striking sight
over the Pentagon.

Another witness also managed
to film the floating pyramid

while working on an art project
a bit further away.

I filmed a pyramid

hovering over the Pentagon.

What I found the most intriguing
was that as it slightly rotates,

you see one
very dark angle of it.

It would be hard to do that
if it were a reflection.

It would be hard to do
that given the light coming up

from the ground and the fact
that it was nighttime,

so there's no sunlight
coming from above.

I can't explain what this is.

Slow down, man.

Slow down.

So what was this
mysterious pyramid craft

hovering above perhaps the most
secretive building in the world?

The fact that it was huge
and just hovering

over the center
of our national security

leads to a lot of questions.

It's not a coincidence
that UFOs hover around

our most powerful places

and, of course, Washington,
D.C., and the Pentagon.

It doesn't get more powerful
than that

but seems as if this
UFO was on a mission

to see what exactly
we're working on militarily

and regarding
our weapons abilities.

Whatever it was,
it's very intriguing,

and I imagine that
the conspiracy theorists

are going nuts
over this video.

The belief
in the existence of fairies

has been around

in almost every culture
around the world.

Is there a reason that people
from opposite corners

of the globe
have such similar legends?

Could it be possible

that these things
may actually be out there?

One family in England
may have filmed proof

that the existence of these
creatures

is not
a fairy tale after all.

Throughout history, people have
long been enchanted

with the idea of small
winged creatures

fluttering around
causing mischief.

There have been legends
of fairies

going back
hundreds of years.

They call them
by various names --

fairies, sprites,
wood nymphs.

There's stories about
fairies in northern Europe,

in Ireland, in Scotland,
in England, into Scandinavia.

There's even folklore
about fairies in China

and Eastern Europe,
all throughout the world,

and there's different ideas
of what fairies are.

Some say that they're actually,
like, you know, deities.

Some say that they're
fallen angels.

In the paranormal, fairies
are just seen as other spirits,

so if you live in a house
that is built in fairy land,

you kind of have
to respect them.

If you piss them off,
they could be seen

as being mischievous
or even vengeful.

This video from a father

and his children
in Bournemouth, England,

picking apples has racked up
millions of views,

as people debated
whether it proved the existence

of actual fairy-like creatures.

The father was filming
throughout their journey

to the apple trees

when they accidentally
made an unusual discovery.

He brings us to a particular
branch where I think,

"Oh, it's a dragonfly.
Okay, what's going on?"

And you often see
dragonflies together,

two dragonflies
or mutated bodies,

and I figured, "Okay, this
is just a dragonfly."

As they looked closer
in the tree

at what appeared
to be an insect,

they got
an unexpected surprise.

Ugh!

It pops off the tree branch,

and you clearly see
two arms and two legs.

Oh, my God.

We're seeing what clearly
appears to be a human form

with wings,
pausing momentarily...

Oh, my God.

...right in front
of the camera,

and in that instant,

it certainly looked like
the typical description

of what we know as a fairy.

If it was just the two legs,

the dragonfly explanation

could probably
still hold some water,

but the two arms
and the head didn't seem

like anything
we know of except fairies.

Fairy or no, this
family wasn't taking any chances

with whatever they
just encountered.

Once he saw it, and it
flew towards the camera,

they took off as if
something was attacking them.

He saw something that he did not
want to mess with.

- Oh, my God.
- Ugh!

I might stick around
because fairies also,

in theory,
have the power to heal,

so maybe I'd stick around,
see if it was a good fairy.

So are real fairies
out there after all?

Most myths do have
some element of truth in them.

We can't say for sure,

but sometimes you see
these videos

that appear to have
fairies in them.

- What is that?
- I don't know.

So it might very well be exactly
what it looks like.

It might be a fairy.

stalking the California night.

Native American
folklore is full of strange

and frightening tales
of spirits, demons

and monsters.

Accounts of these
horrifying creatures

have been passed
on for generations.

While many will dismiss
these as mere stories,

one such legend may have
been proven all too real

by security footage
in a California neighborhood.

In Fresno, California,
a homeowner named Jose

set up a security camera

after hearing his dogs bark
throughout the night,

but it wasn't an intruder or
animal that had their attention.

It was something
much more bizarre.

The unsettling footage
he captured soon attracted

the attention of
local paranormal expert

Victor Camacho.

My name is Victor Camacho.

Victor examined
the footage seen here

filmed off
of Jose's security monitor.

He watched silently as a small,
strange creature

slowly moved across Jose's lawn.

A few minutes later
into the footage,

he observed another creature
enter the frame,

this one moving faster
with a wider stride

of its two long legs.

I wasn't prepared
for what I saw,

at first puppetlike
but moving with a grace

and a fluidity
that didn't seem possible

for someone to fake with
a mannequin or an apparatus,

just walking,
just walking across a path.

Is it a ghost?
Is it a cryptid?

Is it an alien?

What is it?

The legs are quite long,

but the physical body itself
seems quite small in comparison.

That's why you see this very
strange stride that they have.

I don't know.

There's something about the way
they move that just, like,

I don't like it.

After the video became public,

the creatures became known
as the Fresno Nightcrawlers.

These newly named cryptids
soon caught the eye

of followers
of Native American folklore.

There are many legends
of sticklike figures

that have vaguely
human attributes to them,

and many people believe them
to be guardians of landscape.

So according to some
Native American lore,

these entities have really
small heads and long legs,

and they've been around
for a long time,

since perhaps before man
was even,

you know,
really what we are today,

so that looks to be possibly

what we're seeing
in this footage.

There's been some sort
of lore that they are good

and actually want to help humans
sort of reconnect with nature,

and then there's also
the ones that have,

you know, malevolent sort
of intentions to hurt humans

and, you know,
sort of cause harm.

While the creatures'
intentions remain a mystery,

a clearer view of them may
have been captured years later

by a security camera
at Yosemite National Park.

Park officials set up the camera
to catch a group of vandals

that had been
damaging park property

but instead spotted
these otherworldly beings.

This footage, it's only
60 miles away

from the original
Fresno nightcrawler sighting.

It seems to depict
the exact same creatures.

It seems to have no head,

doesn't seem to have a body.

It's just a pair of legs,
and it's moving in a very slow,

methodical sort of way
that was creepier than, almost,

if it was walking quicker.

I think the fact that
these were captured

in two completely different
geographical locations

lends credence to the fact that,
all right, they are legit.

They are something.

I've actually had
my own encounter

with what is considered
to be a nightcrawler.

I saw this nightcrawlers
standing, pacing back and forth

on a boulder in the middle
of the Merced River in Yosemite.

It almost looked like
a gray alien but without arms.

It was kind of crazy.

It blew my mind.

Victor Camacho has
also remained

steady in his belief

that what he saw in Fresno was
an authentic cryptid sighting.

They were unable to replicate
the strange movements.

Coming up...scary encounters
on the streets

and a new cryptid is born.

Americans spend, on average,

almost 300 hours a year driving,

and while we often fear ghosts

haunting our homes
and buildings,

we seldom think
about the apparitions

we might encounter out
on the open road,

but now with so many cameras
monitoring the streets we drive,

we are starting to learn there
is much more to worry about

while behind the wheel than
traffic and speeding tickets.

On a dark night in 2016,
security cameras were monitoring

an empty intersection
in Mexico City.

As a lone car approached,

the image of a young woman
materialized in the crosswalk.

But while the camera saw her,
the drivers did not.

This footage is crazy

because
it's clearly right there.

You would think that
all these drivers

would see this entity
as they're driving through.

Either they're not
paying attention,

or it's simply not visible.

Traffic cams probably pick up
more ghost activity

than other cameras would because
they're on constantly,

so the likelihood of them
catching something is higher.

Imagine not knowing
that you've passed on,

and you find yourself
in the middle of the road,

and it just seems endless
because your consciousness

as a ghost or a spirit
is stuck in this warp.

This CCTV footage from
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,

starts similarly.

A lone car was driving
when, suddenly,

a figure materialized
out of nowhere.

The driver did see it but
too late to avoid a collision.

The driver got out but could
find no evidence

of the impact
or the pedestrian.

They get out.
They look around.

There's nobody, no person, no
animal, nothing under the car.

Everything is vanished.

This is a very common
experience,

and if someone
can research it,

then they usually find out
that there's a haunting story

for that area,
that something happened,

an accident happened
at that particular spot.

My best guess would be some
kind of place-memory type

of haunting where it's not
an intelligent haunting.

It's not an apparitional
haunting.

It's not a consciousness
that survived bodily death

and is aware
of its surroundings.

There might be a lot
of emotional energy

expended in this location,
and you get a replay,

like a shadow
of what has happened before.

But these encounters

aren't always passive
apparitions

drifting into a car's path.

This taxi in Hong Kong
encountered a much different,

and more dynamic,
paranormal force.

Driver is driving along.

There's a car in front of them,
but then all of a sudden...

...a flash of light comes from
the driver's side off the road.

I don't even know
whether that is a ghost or not,

but that is just something that
is super freaky that happened.

I mean, I think that's more
than a ghost.

That's, like, kind of like a...
more than a demon.

I mean, something
happened there.

I watched that video a lot

because I was just trying
to catch it.

I was like, "What the heck
was that?"

Like, I don't have
a perfect explanation.

I don't know if I ever will.

So why are ghosts
attracted to cars?

Perhaps it's something with
the technology within the car,

such as the radio.

There's a lot of energy
that the car has

that could prove to be a gateway
or a bridge to the other side.

Could there be some
reason that this force,

whatever it might be,
was targeting the car?

Intent is very hard to determine
in videos like this.

It's hard to assign a motive
to the spirit,

if that's what it was.

Was it trying to harm
the driver?

Was it trying
to warn the driver?

Or could these
paranormal manifestations

be as oblivious
to the presence of us drivers

as we often are to them?

Just because a deer runs
into the side of your car

doesn't mean the deer
is angry at you necessarily.

Sometimes things just, you know,
bump into each other.

You're going your way.

It's going its way,
and the two meet.

Cryptozoology
is the study

of monsters or creatures

whose existence has yet to be
proven by scientific evidence.

Almost every country
in every corner of the globe

has its own cryptid,

and stories of these
fabled creatures

have been passed
from one generation to the next

with few ever actually
witnessing them firsthand,

but in the Philippines,
after a farmer's pregnant goat

went into labor,
a camera was there to capture

what may have been
the birth of a new cryptid

and a new story
for generations to come.

Cryptids have long
tracks of folklore

attached to them, stories,

but they have never been
actually studied scientifically.

There's no actual data
that they exist.

There are creatures
of this Earth

that have not been
discovered yet.

There are others
that are extinct

or we think are extinct
that might not be.

In November of 2018,

a small community
in southern Philippines

was shocked after
a local farmer's goat

gave birth
to a bizarre creature.

This baby animal is horrifying.

You can see the cloven hooves,
and the snout is very goat-like,

but the flesh around it
is so swollen,

it almost completely engulfs
that snout.

Both the creature
and its baby-goat sibling died

shortly after leaving the womb,
and when laid side by side,

they looked like two
completely different species.

What makes this interesting
is its shiny skin.

It has no fur,
has a humanlike navel.

This creature kind of
had, like, pig's feet.

It had, like, a human face,

and it just looked like
a big blob of skin or something.

This appeared to be
a goat-pig-human hybrid.

It had very human features,
yet its appendages

ended in pig
or goatlike endings,

and I felt like
some of the explanations

were that there was some kind
of mutation

that caused this swelling.

Sadly, the mother goat
also died after giving birth

to this grotesque offspring,

sparking fears among locals
that the creature

was a cursed mutant devil
that brought bad luck.

It's common in some
of these villages

to view deformities like this
to be a bad omen

or a sign of negative things
to come in the future,

so these people probably think

that it's some
sort of hell spawn, perhaps.

There are a variety
of other theories

as to what else
this creature could be.

This reminds me of a creature
from Ilonggo folklore.

It's called a lolid or lulid,

and basically, it's kind of like
a giant earthworm-looking thing.

It's white, kind of has, like,
a pig head,

and they live in the ground
in little, like, mounds of dirt,

and if you disturb their homes,
they will make you sick.

Whether it was a cryptid

or just a physical abnormality,

we may have just witnessed

the beginning
of a new, strange tale.

Filipinos are so superstitious.

We have so many different,

like, mythological creatures
and cryptids,

so I wouldn't be surprised
if the Philippines suddenly had

a new mythological creature
based after this.

I feel like whatever this is,

the legend of this creature
will expand and grow

and take on a life of its own,
and now with the Internet,

pictures and alleged reported
sightings of this thing,

even though you may
never see it again,

I'm sure we're gonna hear
about whatever this is called

down the line sometime.

most haunted house.

30 East Drive
in Pontefract, England,

may be picturesque
on the outside,

but inside is home
to one of Britain's

most violent hauntings ever.

It all began in 1966 when
a family moved into the house

and were immediately terrorized

by a mysterious figure
dressed in a black robe.

The evil spirit became known
as the Black Monk of Pontefract,

and to this day,

something may still be
lurking inside that house.

You heard that?

The haunting at 30 East Drive
is decades old.

It began in the 1960s
when an entity

began to terrorize
the residents of the home.

The site that the house
is located on

has an interesting history.

There are some records
that indicate

that a monk from earlier times

had been convicted of raping
someone and executed,

and usually,
where violent events take place,

that often leaves a dark residue
on the landscape.

It didn't take long
for the Pritchard family,

who lived at the house,
to take note of this residue.

They started noticing puddles
of water in the kitchen.

They were hearing footsteps
in the floors above the kitchen.

Doors open and close.
Objects move around.

There are thuds and all kinds

of mysterious goings-on
in the house.

And it sort of isolated itself
around one of the daughters,

and she was experiencing
what she believed

to be an entity in her room,

and she would hear
heavy breathing,

and then she started seeing
a black hooded figure

with long flowing robes,

and they actually
gave it a name -- Fred.

And this entity known as Fred

was reported to kick, scratch

and even push her downstairs.

It's been decades
since the Pritchard family

moved from 30 East Drive,

but several recent complaints
from neighbors of activity

within the empty house

prompted paranormal investigator
Sean Reynolds and Bex Palmer

to examine
the residence in 2017.

We are paranormal
investigators,

and we're investigating
30 East Drive

because people have been
capturing strange things

on camera --
objects moving, black shadows

and real strong
paranormal activity.

The team set up a
special device to help determine

if what they were sensing
could be the entity

once known as "Fred."

Yeah.

Now what you're gonna
listen for

are voices
that are just above

or just below
the broadcast that you hear,

so you will hear little snippets
of radio commercials,

DJs, songs.

That's not what
we're listening for.

We're listening for the voices

that ride out across
multiple frequencies.

When I initially heard my name,

I was filled
with dread and fear,

and I wanted to
get out of there,

and so already I was in a state
of fight-or-flight, if you like.

What is this dark energy
that said "Bex"?

Is it Fred the poltergeist
wanting to attach himself

or come near to Bex
because she's female,

and, you know, maybe
he was reminded of Diane,

the Pritchards' daughter?

Was you trying to scare Bex?

Whoa.

What the hell
happened there?

Why would it
have done that?

That sounds
a bit dark, doesn't it?

That was a bit demonic.

- Yes.
- I heard that.

Yep.

The woman lets out a yell,
and that, you know,

if she was faking,
she deserved an Oscar, you know?

That was a legit...
She was scared.

and he actually looks up,

and there was nothing
there behind the door.

Could this have been Fred,

the Black Monk of Pontefract,
returned?

The fact that
this activity took place

at this infamous location

tells me that the chances
are pretty good

that they actually did run
into the entity

known as the Black Monk
of Pontefract.

I never experienced anything like I did at 30 East Drive.

This was a black, dark,
very dark experience,

and I did fear for my life
when I was there.

We concluded that the
recent activity of people

entering this house has stirred
up the poltergeistal activity

back at 30 East Drive,

and if Fred was sleeping,
he's not sleeping now.

astonishing lights
over the Atlantic.

Oh, they're back.

In 1903,
on one of North Carolina's

Outer Banks
coastal barrier islands,

the Wright brothers
broke the shackles of gravity

and took the first steps
toward air travel,

but Orville and Wilbur probably
couldn't imagine the advances

in aviation made
since that fateful first flight.

Now just over a century
later in November of 2018,

another visitor to the Outer
Banks captured video evidence

that humans may have
some otherworldly competition

when it comes to conquering
the skies on Earth.

While on a family fishing trip
on the southern Outer Banks,

Chris Larkin saw something that
puzzles him still to this day.

Okay.

I'm Chris, and I filmed the UFOs
off of Cape Lookout.

I wanted to get some fishing
in after dark,

see if I could, you know,
pull anything in.

I went out to the beach,
had a couple of lines in

and was just kind of
sitting and waiting,

and at that point,

the lights just kind of
appeared in the sky.

The UFOs were just
very bright orange lights.

They were just completely
stationary,

and they were very silent.

There was no noise whatsoever.

Off in the distance
towards the Cape,

who knows exactly how high,

but there are two lights
pulsating, pulsating.

Is it a UFO?

What am I looking at?

As Chris watched the lights,

the mystery grew even deeper.

Not sure what's going on
with the little ones.

There's two lights
in the distance.

They're stable.

They're not moving, and then
eventually two more appear.

I think I was out there
about an hour total,

and over that time, you know,
sometimes there was one light.

Sometimes there were two.

Sometimes there were up to four,
and there was a period of time

where they were gone
for about 15 or 20 minutes,

and then when they reappeared,

it was in a different location
a little bit closer to shore.

Now, this is very common
when you see UFO videos

in that it will start
with a certain number.

That number will branch off
into others,

and I don't know
of anything here

in our technology
that does that,

so that's when it starts
to get very curious

and possibly unexplained.

So I initially thought
helicopters because, you know,

they were lights, which makes
sense, and they weren't moving.

They were definitely hovering,

but then as I watched further,
you know,

I realized that there was no
noise coming from them at all.

They were completely silent,
and I had seen helicopters

out there during the daytime,
you know,

in that relative position,
and there was plenty of noise.

You could definitely hear them
above the surf.

Chris also ruled out flares,

another common source
of light off the coast.

Yeah, I'm not a flare expert,
but I've seen them before,

and, you know, they go up,
and they come down.

You know, there's some movement.

Usually if they're fired
from the ocean,

you see them go up
into the sky.

If they're dropped from a plane,
you're gonna see them drop,

and this didn't happen,
you know?

They were just completely
stationary.

Oh, two are back, not sure
what's going on

with the little ones,
but they're gone.

Eventually, the original
two disappear,

and we're left
with those last two.

We're left wondering,
"What could be causing that?"

We don't really know
what we're looking at here.

We don't know if these are UFOs
or something else.

They are mystery lights.

Phenomenon of mystery lights,
or ghost lights,

as they're also called,
exists around the world,

and these are locations
where people see light anomalies

over and over again
in certain geographic areas.

The entire Eastern seaboard

is actually a hotbed
for UFO activity,

from Florida all the way north
to New England,

so the fact that
these were sighted

off the coast of North Carolina
is no surprise to me.

Whether it's a UFO
or something unexplained,

at least Chris didn't go home
completely empty-handed.

I've never seen anything
like this before,

and I haven't seen
anything like this since.

I mean, it's just kind of
a cool experience.

I just kind of felt like I was

in the right time
at the right place

and, you know, got to see
something interesting

that you definitely
don't see every day.

Okay.
