In July, 1863, the Union
and Confederate armies

converged in
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

to fight the bloodiest battle
of the American Civil War,

killing thousands.

The field where the soldiers
fought has been left preserved

for generations since.

Many who have visited
this hallowed ground

have reported seeing specters of
those still haunting the site,

but now there may
finally be video proof.

The Battle of Gettysburg
was a three-day bloodbath

where there were more
than 51,000 casualties.

You've got battlefield
amputations

and all the agony
of this ghastly, ghastly battle.

Jay Parker and his
friend Rob traveled to this

Civil War battlefield
to investigate firsthand

whether long-time reports
of ghosts in the area

were really true.

We've always had a fascination
for the paranormal,

and with all
those tragic deaths,

we figured there's plenty of
paranormal activity in the area.

The area where
Jay and Rob stopped

is the location
of Pickett's Charge,

an unsuccessful assault
by the South

that cost them the battle.

All right, so let's sit here
for a while

and just kind of film
the camera.

It said there's
activity here before.

There is a lot of reported
paranormal activity

in Gettysburg,
and that's not a surprise

because places with
a lot of emotion attached to it,

those are the places that tend
to have a lot of activity.

A lot of these people
who were killed were just buried

haphazardly,
some were not buried at all,

so you could see where
there is restless spirits.

Colleagues of mine
have reported hearing cannons,

and horses galloping by,
people are constantly

seeing apparitions
in the fields.

I was told by a ranger
there's been some activity,

they've heard some rumors
about seeing some sightings

of something
that they can't explain.

We pulled over on the side
of the road,

and, you know, didn't want
to wander around at night,

so we were just sitting there,
waiting probably 30 minutes,

and that's when it popped up.

Holy -- Holy crap.

Down by the cannon.
Do you see that?

What is that?

Wait, shh.

Oh, my God.

Is it -- No way.

What is that?

You see what looks like
a figure of a soldier.

It seems that you can even
see the uniform and the cap.

And he sort of meanders
through the cannons,

and then walks away,
and disappears.

Holy -- Holy crap.

Down by the cannon.
Do you see that?

What is that?

It appeared along the cannons
are Pickett's Charge,

a clear, translucent look
came up,

and it looked
like a solider.

No way.
What is that?

I have
no freaking idea.

Oh, my gosh!

Maybe it was one
of the casualties of the war

still looking for his troops,
or still looking for the home,

or to leave,
and is just stuck there.

To actually get a full-body
apparition is extremely rare.

It's just kind of
going about its business,

doesn't seem to recognize
that the people are there,

nor does it really seem to care.

Perhaps this is an entity

that feels it has unfinished
business on the battlefield.

We've been there before, you see
glimpses of light and flashes.

But we've never seen anything

this evident
of paranormal activity.

I told Rob, I said, "If you
hadn't been sitting here

recording what was going on,

I wouldn't have believed
we'd caught anything."

Gettysburg is considered to be

one of the most haunted locales
in the United States.

All that pain, and death,

and fear all concentrated
on one event leaves a mark,

and that continues
to perpetuate even today.

The Loch Ness Monster is perhaps

the most famous
sea monster in the world,

attracting upwards
of 1 million visitors a year

to the small body of water
it calls home.

But just across the
North Channel from Scotland

lies Ireland's Lough Foyle,
where a newly spotted creature

may soon put this small estuary
on the cryptid-hunting map.

This lough, like many
loughs in Ireland and Scotland,

have long been
the source of stories

of the mysterious creatures
that live in them.

Obviously,
most people's mind turns

immediately to
the Loch Ness Monster.

But almost
all these bodies of water

have stories of creatures
that live in them

that are not
necessarily your standard,

run-of-the-mill fish.

In the fall of 2013,
college student Conall Melarkey

and fellow classmates set out
on two boats on Lough Foyle

to film a class project,
but what these students captured

was more than
just a passing grade.

Hello, my name
is Conall Melarkey.

We sailed a boat
out into the lake

for about 15 minutes or so,
I'd say,

and my friend Matthew
in the boat

across from us screams over,
"Guys, look over there!

I don't know what it is,
it looks like a sea monster!"

You just see
this very large creatures

making its way through
the water very, very quickly.

What resulted from that was just
a mix of hysteria and confusion

because we didn't know
what it was.

In the case of this video,
you have a mass

moving through the water,

and you might be able to see
an eye or a brow ridge

just above the water.

It's kind of left
to your imagination

what's below the surface.

We can't really gauge the size,

but this one mass
is quite large,

and it's moving quite rapidly.

It seems longer
than the boat that it passes,

but yet it's ocean footprint,

or its water footprint
isn't that big.

I mean, it actually seems to be
moving through quite discretely.

The creatures
doesn't look like anything else

I've ever seen as far
as cryptids are concerned.

It's almost like an amorphous
blob, and it seems very rigid.

It just kind of looked like
"What the hell is that?

Why is it moving so quickly?

Where is it --
Where are you going?" You know?

And it's just kind of
cruising by,

and it didn't seem to fit
any sort of description

of any lake monster
I've heard of.

Looking at this footage, you can clearly tell that's not a whale.

I mean, it's got too much of a
sort of reptilian texture to it.

This is something that people
don't see on an everyday basis.

This is something
very, very unique,

and something that
probably hasn't been brought

to anyone's attention before.

But where could
this creature have come from?

And why hasn't anyone
seen it before?

In some parts, the lough
is about 50 feet deep,

but there are deeper portions,

and the lough itself opens up
into the Atlantic Ocean.

The oceans are vastly
unexplored, 95% unexplored.

We don't know what's down there.

Because of climate change

and the temperature change
in the water,

a lot of creatures are now

coming up to the surface
for food,

perhaps for warmth,
whatever it might be.

The creature
disappeared under the surface,

leaving in its wake
shock and disbelief.

As it happened, we were more
confused than anything,

but we made
a very quick decision

to turn the boat around
and sail away from the lough

because I don't think
it would've been a good idea

to risk the chance
of the boat being toppled over

by the creature
had we stayed there longer.

Though this footage
caught the world's attention

as possible proof of an
as-yet undiscovered cryptid,

there has been no explanation
for what the students saw,

and the creature
has not been seen since.

I'm very grateful to say

that I've captured
something so unbelievable

and so strange that it managed
to spark much conversation

and dialogue amongst
the world's population.

has been been spooked

by a legend
about a young mother

whose unborn child was violently
ripped from her womb,

and she was then left to die.

While some residents
may try to disregard

the gruesome story
as a work of fiction,

three recent visitors
to those woods learned

that the mother may be haunting
the site to this very day.

Late one night back
in December of 2017,

paranormal enthusiasts
Jon Turner, Tim Cunningham,

and Michael Richardson
turned on their camera

to investigate the supposedly
haunted woods near Kingston.

We are here at a really
freaking creepy place,

and this place
is super-haunted,

lots of Satanic rituals
have happened here,

so we got to be
real careful, guys.

Let me give you
a little bit of back story here.

This is called
the Witch's Circle.

There's been several bodies
found here,

- hasn't there, Michael?
- Yes, several bodies.

Deep within
these Kingston woods,

there is what is known
to some as a Witch's Circle.

A Witch's Circle, it technically is a sacred working space.

This is where spell casting
would take place,

or if people are
of a negative purpose,

it would be for hexing,
or sacrifice.

Now, what happened here
in the 1960s, a lady,

a pregnant lady was drug here
by Satanic worshippers,

and they actually
cut her baby from her,

and sacrificed it
by nailing it to the tree.

They forced her to watch this,
and she was murdered after

she watched her baby
be pulled from her and murdered.

This is dark.

It appears that these
people have gone to an area

where a lot of magical activity
is reported to have taken place,

and by alleged witches,

and that this has caused
a terrific haunting in the area,

and if you go there
at a certain time,

then you might have
something unusual happen.

We're gonna go
beyond this barrier here.

This has been closed off
for a reason.

to find the exact spot
of the fabled Witch's Circle.

Dude, there's just
such an eerie feeling here

knowing what happened here.

To this day, the journey to the site of the ritual sacrifice

still gives them men shivers.

We get out,
and we start on this trail,

and already, you know,
you have this kind of vibe

that you feel like you
shouldn't be there.

We're in the middle of nowhere,
no cell signal.

We're going to go to the area

of where the baby
was nailed to the tree.

This place is just so eerie.

I just keep
hearing something.

It's almost like
we're being followed.

As we're walking along
this little trail,

it's very overgrown,
it's very thick.

It felt like something was
walking with us

the entire time,
watching from the tree lines.

I swear that's something
like right here beside us.

It was pretty unnerving.

Guys, we just found bones.

I don't know that they're human.

That's spooky, guys.

Let's head on back
this way and find that tree.

After an hour's journey,

Jon led the men to the exact
tree at the Witch's Circle

where the killing took place.

Guys, this is the tree

that the baby was nailed to.

This is so -- Just to think of
what happened here is so eerie.

But that's when things
got particularly scary.

in the woods.

There's something out here

What is it?

- Did y'all see that?
- Yeah.

I remember hearing
something move near me,

and as I turn,
I see a branch kind of moving,

but I see no signs
of animals.

And that kind of weirded me out,

and we were all hearing
what sounded like whispers

coming from the woods
near the tree.

What was that?

Hello?

I thought I heard
somebody say something.

I was scared, creeped out,
and I really --

I don't have an answer for what
we were hearing near the tree.

Oh, my gosh.

Okay.

I was standing next to the tree, and I had a really bad vibe,

because at that point,

I had feeling like there
was something there

that just didn't
want us there.

I think it's time to go, guys.

I'm legitimately getting
really nervous right now.

As they decided to
move on from the grisly site,

Tim suddenly
felt something.

Dude!
Oh, my God, dude.

As I walked away from the tree,

I felt this terrible
burning down my back.

It was like somebody
had placed a hot coal,

or poured like a liquid metal
down my shirt.

Oh, my God, guys,
look at his back.

As he's walking away
from the tree,

he starts complaining
of his back burning,

and that's when we lift up
his shirt

to reveal these four God-awful
scratch marks on this back.

I mean,
that's burning right now.

It feels like
it's on fire.

Look at that!
It goes all the way up his back!

This is reported quite often in paranormal investigations,

especially in areas
that are highly charged

with a lot of negative energy.

People will feel pushed,
shoved, scratched, even bitten,

and they will pull up
their clothing and discover

that it looks like something
has actually scratched them.

That's legit, like, welts, man.

Something has scratched
the hell out of you.

It's got a hold of you.

That's fingernail marks, man.

Man, it feels like
liquid fire right now.

Oh, my God.

When it comes to things
like scratches,

the first instinct is to panic.

"Oh, I'm being attacked.

It scratched us,
it's trying to hurt me,

it's demonic, it's witches,
it's something malevolent."

But that's not always the case.

That is something
that is very common.

It's always the same type
of scratch mark.

It doesn't break the skin,

it sort of just, like,
a raised kind of scratch.

A lot of people seem to believe that it's the mark of a demon.

Not trying to kill you,

but just kind of giving you
a little bit of a warning,

and I think that might be
what's happening here.

I felt like something was trying to protect itself.

Like, maybe it was the woman
trying to protect and fight off,

or she still thinks
she's fighting off

the people that abducted her.

decided to heed the warning

and get out of those woods
as soon as possible.

I feel that we weren't
supposed to be there,

but to be able to document

this and capture it
for other people to see,

and to show that evidence
that there is things out there

that we can't explain,

it was a good moment,

I'm happy that I caught that
so people can see this,

and it's out there

were walking through their
West Philadelphia neighborhood

when something in the sky
caught their attention.

While we coming up the street,

my cousin, he peeped it first.

Ernest pointed
his phone at the sky

and caught what appeared
to be a fleet of shiny UFOs

slowly moving overhead.

what the hell this is."

It damn sure wasn't planes,
it damn sure wasn't balloons,

it damn sure wasn't gas.

It wasn't none of that.

That was an unidentified flying
object floating in the sky.

we're looking at hundreds

of individually,
perhaps, piloted ships.

They do seem to have
some intelligence

regarding their movements.

Typically, when it comes
to UFO sightings and stories,

you usually hear
about one craft,

or maybe a small squadron,
maybe three to four.

As far as fleets go,
we're beginning to see videos

that detail dozens of ships,
either flying in formation

or just seemingly randomly
in the sky.

It's interesting that they were
over a more populated place,

like Philadelphia.

Obviously, if there was
an intelligent mission

going on here,

they knew they were
going to be seen.

It was during the day.

It's footage like this,

with so many people,

that I think is really starting
to give people

a little bit more confidence

when it comes to
their belief in UFOs.

Philadelphia
isn't the only place

where this phenomenon
has occurred.

Just a month before,
in October 2018,

a squadron of small UFOs
escorting a larger ship

was filmed over The Hague
in the Netherlands.

They seem to be flying
in some coordinated pattern

which is different
from a pattern

that an Earth-based craft
would fly in.

Our formations are usually
pretty rigid.

Theirs seem to be
a lot more fluid,

where they seem to have
some sort of propulsion system

other than ours

where they can
nimbly go up and down

and side to side
in coordinated efforts.

in what might be out there.

It got me to a point
where I'm looking up UFOs.

that seem to attract spirits,

but maybe it's something
that they can easily move

a dead alien found in Siberia.

The cold,
unforgiving wasteland of Siberia

covers almost twice as much land
as the contiguous United States,

yet has a population smaller
than California,

probably due to temperatures

that usually fall
well below zero.

It's not the kind of place

most people want
to move to willingly,

but recently,
two teenagers discovered that

some extraterrestrial neighbors
may have taken up residence.

In March of 2011, there were
numerous reports of UFOs

in the Irkutsk region
of Siberia.

A UFO hotspot
really is a place

where you have a lot
of sightings, and I can imagine

if it's a cold,
isolated part of the world,

as Siberia is,

there's probably not
a lot going on.

I would say
it's a very similar reason

to why you tend to see cryptids
in more wooded areas

that don't have
a lot of people in them.

UFOs or aliens may not want
to be seen by people,

so they go to places
that have less people in them.

A month after that
rash of Siberian UFO sightings,

two friends fed the frenzy

by capturing one of the most
talked-about paranormal images

ever caught on camera.

In April 2011,
Ivan Baturin and Artem Fedotov

were walking through
the wintry Siberian countryside

when they came upon the site
of an unbelievable discovery.

They approached what appeared
to be a body lying in the snow.

Two people on a handheld
camera walking through snow,

and as we get closer
to this tree and this brush,

you're not exactly sure
what you're expecting.

They took a closer
look at the lifeless figure.

The first thing
I was surprised to see --

that this creature was small.

Maybe a foot,
foot-and-a-half at most.

Its leg had been severed
or cut off,

or something had happened to it.

Completely naked,
seemed gaunt, emaciated,

just lying there, frozen.

When he got closer
and zoomed in,

it seemed fleshy, it seemed like
it could have veins,

it seemed like it had
some sort of damage to it.

After filming the video,

Ivan and Artem uploaded it
to the Internet

to show the world
their discovery.

The dead alien quickly became
an overnight sensation,

raking in millions of views
and sparking debates worldwide.

Amidst all the attention,
Russian government officials

quickly stepped in
and called the video a hoax.

But their hope
to quell speculation

that aliens had landed
in Siberia

had the opposite effect.

The Kremlin
had got involved,

and here's where
the conspiracy theorists

are going to have a field day,

because so many people
are saying,

"Oh, this is alien life.
What's going on?

What's the government hiding?
What are they doing?"

People didn't buy
the denials,

and accusations of a cover-up
naturally came next.

Why would the government even take time to talk about this

if it is so outlandish,
if it is so ridiculous?

It seems as if the government
wouldn't waste their time

to talk about this or
to debunk this as real or fake.

But if you're looking at it from a governmental perspective,

this could be very destabilizing
for people to know

that alien visitors who have
probably superior technology

and may be superior to us
in many ways

are here on the planet.

I think that governments
all over the planet

are aware of this,
monitor it,

and probably marshal
and manipulate

what we are allowed to know.

So, if this was,
in fact, not a hoax,

the extraterrestrials
may already be here,

and they find Siberia
just as unforgiving as humans.

is one of America's oldest
and most haunted cities.

From Crescent Park
and University Hall

to the Providence Anthenaeum
and Thomas Street,

ghosts have been reported
all over

this nearly-400-year-old city.

But many in Providence say

if you want to truly experience
some paranormal activity,

head over to the infamous
Biltmore Hotel.

Open since 1922,

the Biltmore was a famous
speakeasy during Prohibition

and has been the site
of Satanic rituals

and several murders.

The Biltmore Hotel
has got such a rich history.

A lot of nefarious things
went on in the Biltmore Hotel,

and a lot of energy,
a lot of emotion left over

here at the Biltmore Hotel.

It could easily be haunted.

There are stories
of people sleeping there

and literally hearing
things go bump in the night.

Its ghostly past

has even inspired
the fictional horror hotels

from "The Shining" and "Psycho,"

but there's plenty of frights
to be had in the real world.

In October 2018,

when Jack Stephens
visited the Biltmore for work,

he soon found out
why it earned a reputation

as one of the most haunted
hotels in America,

and, thankfully,
had his camera ready.

This is my hotel room
in the Providence Biltmore.

This is Room 1102,

and they say that this hotel
is a little bit haunted.

The overhead light in my room

has been flicking on and off
by itself,

so I thought that
I'd better get it on video.

My name is Jack Stephens.

I was there for work
in Providence for about a week.

I know that the Biltmore Hotel

has had a long
and storied history.

I was in my room watching TV,

and I had seen
the flickering lights,

and I seemed to notice

that they were coming on and off
every so often.

It seemed like they would
begin flickering

any time there was
a woman's voice on the TV.

As you can see, that's the lamp.
It's hanging.

There it goes.

Did you see that?

Spirits, because they
are composed of purely energy,

it's often thought
that they can interact

with electrical things
that we have,

so when lights go off,
when power goes down,

when our equipment doesn't work,

we assume that it's a spirit
trying to manifest.

There it goes.

Energy cannot be created, nor destroyed.

What happens after death?
Where does the energy go?

There's a lot
of speculation that,

indeed, it would reside
in electrical currents.

I'm the only one
in this room,

and this is the light switch
over here.

That, as you can see,

it is clearly in
the off position right now.

Thomas Edison, the father
of our modern electric age,

tried to invent a device

by which he could communicate
with the dead.

He was not successful,

but just the fact that
he believed that he could do it

through electronic means
is good evidence

that there's probably
some rational theories

that ghosts have an effect
on electricity.

how it is doing this.

As the light
started swaying,

it became clear

that Jack may not be alone
in the room after all.

The fact that we had more

than just the flickering
of the lights,

and we have the entity

actually seeming to swing
the light fixture

tells me there's a lot of energy
and a lot of life left,

for lack of a better term,
within this entity.

in the face of what
very well may have been

a truly haunting experience.

Maybe a spirit from the hotel's
more colorful times

was hanging out there with me
in my room that night.

Maybe it was just
a friendly hello,

or maybe there was
no message at all.

Something is going on here.
I don't know what.

I think I might
get out of here now.

This is very freaky.

Whatever it was
messing with the lights,

Jack seems thankful
he was one of the lucky few

to encounter
something paranormal

and live to tell about it.

I was rather delighted
to capture it on camera.

You know, I think
that modern science leads us

towards more reasonable
explanations,

but the kid inside all of us

hopes that maybe this is
a rare encounter

with some exciting,
unseen dimension.
