They were diagnosed with limb
girdle muscular dystrophy.

It's a muscle-wasting disease.

So they both have
a genetic mutation

and...

they'll be in a wheelchair
by teenage years.

You know, Peter came home
from the hospital,

he walked at a normal age.

He came out on the boat
as a little kid

and he would climb the tower
of a harpoon boat

at the age of six.

And right around
eight years old

is when we kind of noticed

he wasn't keeping up
with his friends.

Um, he couldn't climb
the, you know,

ladder of the boat
very well anymore.

Finding out my kids were...

diagnosed
with muscular dystrophy

was definitely
the worst day of my life.

I pledge allegiance

We're praying
that we can find a cure.

do it ourselves.

That's the harsh reality
because it's so ultra-rare.

So I think we can fund
a clinical trial,

and bluefin tunas
can make you good money

if you know how to stick them.
