In this part we explain everything about our

equipment, what we work with, what we take

with us on our travels and which effect

the different focal lengths have.

We get started right away, especially since we

are on the road so much and always

travel with carry-on luggage.

The question has come up which camera backpack

is suitable and can withstand the many stresses

and strains.

For a long time we were looking for

a camera bag and backpacks that are of

high quality and still look cool.

In addition the backpack should be comfortable, waterproof,

safe, have plenty of space and still not

look too big.

It was also very important for us that

the bag opens on the back, so that

means on the inner side.

Because we often travel in countries that are

not 100% safe.

And as I said we were looking for

it for a long time and of course

we found the optimal backpack in Germany.

We want to briefly introduce it to you.

The backpack is from the brand Companion.

In addition to the backpack we also have

this little shoulder bag.

We always carry these shoulder bags on a

wedding day, because it allows us to quickly

access to the equipment.

And there's enough space for two to three

lenses and the camera or something like this.

As I said we had already tested several

different bag manufacturers.

For example Chris previously had another bag whose

name we do not want to mention now.

And at a shot where it rained continuously

the equipment in my Companion bag remained completely

dry.

And my bag had a compartment at the

back side.

And the water ran into that compartment and

entered the interior of the bag from below.

And thus my equipment was completely soaked.

And this Companion bag was perfect.

Everything was dry inside.

But now back to the backpack.

Of course the backpack fulfills everything that we

described earlier.

It is super comfortable.

And on the back side is the zipper.

In addition it extremely matches our style.

We love the color, we love the rustic

leather, the waxed waterproof canvas.

It's just perfect.

We show you what the backpack looks like

from the inside.

But first a little anecdote.

When we are on the road each of

us has such a backpack and a bag.

So as I said we always travel with

a carry-on luggage.

And usually this is not a problem.

With many airlines you can take two pieces

of luggage of this size.

However there are also some bad airlines such

as Transavia or EZ-10.

Maybe the European guys know these names.

I'm not sure if it's something the American

knows.

But with these airlines it is strictly forbidden

to have more than one piece of baggage

in your carry-on luggage.

When we were in Lisbon this year the

airline didn't want to take us home because

we had two carry-on items.

We had a lengthy discussion then and finally

this feature of the Companion Backpack saved our

day.

Yeah and you can thus enlarge the backpack.

In this space you can easily stick your

jackets, clothes or your pets or a baby

or something like this.

And we put inside our the bag.

Yeah the leather bag.

Yeah so the small carry-on bag fits

perfectly up there.

And that's what it looks like.

Yeah in principle one could also take out

the small partition wall in there so that

the bag slips even lower.

Yeah I'm not sure if Companion made it

especially for us in this case but it

was just perfect.

They saved our lives in Lisbon.

In the end it looked really professional packed.

So the airline finally let us fly.

It didn't matter which size or weight this

backpack ultimately had.

So yeah we take it out again and

show you what kind of equipment we carry

with us.

Yes these are a magnet there.

Yeah and then you can roll it down

and yeah just close it again.

So this is the Companion Backpack and this

is the little messenger from Companion.

So when we travel we actually have all

the equipment in one backpack and we usually

use the other one for our clothes.

Yeah here right on the back where you

can open it and there's a compartment where

you can do your laptop inside.

Yeah your MacBook and the size is made

for 15 inches and this is the 13

inches but the 15 also fits inside and

here in the backpack there are now all

our lenses.

Two cameras and two speedlights with it.

And here in the back there is the

third camera and so we just take it

out now.

The walls in the backpack are attached with

velcro and you can customize the compartment individually.

Theoretically the backpack would also provide space for

two more lenses over there.

Yeah also to the other backpack we usually

tear out all the walls and pack it

completely full of as it's flexible.

You realize we are overjoyed with this backpack

and could not imagine traveling without it.

So what's inside?

We have in this bag the two bodies

and 5D Mark III.

Yeah all in all we have three times

the 5D Mark III cameras and use only

fixed lenses and I'm holding the Canon 50

millimeter 1.2 in my hand right now

and in my shoulder bag I have the

second camera with the new 35 millimeter 1

.4. Also from Canon.

Yeah both from Canon and this is my

third lens.

This is a Sigma 85 millimeter 1.4

and yeah that is already everything I use

to take pictures.

So I have two cameras and three lenses.

Chris only has one camera.

Yeah also of course the Canon 5D Mark

III and yeah and I have four lenses.

Yeah so let's see let us see your

Here it is the 50 millimeter lens from

Sigma Art.

Yeah we yeah you can put it over

there.

So this is mine and here's Chris.

So also I use the Sigma Art 35

millimeter lens 1.4. Then I use the

24 millimeter lens from Canon and last but

not least the 85 1.8 millimeter lens

from Canon also.

Yeah yeah I think this like a really

small 85.

Some of you guys have for sure a

big one.

Yeah but I really like this one because

it works very fast and it focuses well.

Yeah especially by night it's like really fast.

And we also have two speed lights here

with us.

And yeah we will explain later in more

detail which model that is and how we

work with it.

So besides we still have this whole fast

with us.

Yeah at the beginning we always loved a

bit about it but now we find the

look with the bow really cool.

And if you're just as lazy as I

and don't like to change lenses you will

love it.

Yeah.

So you always have the 35 millimeter.

Only one thing yeah.

And on the other side I have the

other camera with the 50 or the 85

millimeter lens.

The third lens I have always in my

bag here.

So that's it.

Generally as a tip I always wear the

moneymaker with tied up here so it doesn't

get caught.

And the cool thing about the moneymaker is

that you can move the camera up and

down and or let it just hang.

Yeah.

So I also have a moneymaker which is

actually this one.

So here are mine and this one has

the D-rings and here you could theoretically

fix the third camera to make a three

camera setup.

Yeah.

You could do that for example if you

were filming at the same time then you

can nicely keep the camera on tension here.

Yeah.

But I have this strap because it looks

cool and you can you can let go.

The camera like this.

That's pretty cool.

That's like you can let it fall like

this.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Especially when we demonstrate a lot at the

couple shoot it's just cool when you have

your hands free to show something.

For example I only have the moneymaker with

me during the couple shoot and no bag

and then I can move very well and

always have both hands free when necessary.

In addition as a lady we always have

the DJI medic with us.

Yeah.

This is a drone and especially when we

travel to beautiful places it makes sense.

Yeah.

Besides we were also interested in taking some

nice aerial photos.

We had this drone at a wedding in

Mallorca and took some nice aerial shots of

the location and yeah you will see them

later.

And it looks amazing in the report.

So meanwhile we have already sold it as

an addition because more and more couples are

asking for it.

So they all love the aerial shots.

The drone is very easy to use.

That's why we can use it.

And because it is that small we can

easily take it with us.

We always think it is exciting to have

some nice pictures from the air.

case.

And in which we have memory cards from

SanDisk.

And we use the 32 gigabyte memory cards.

And we always turn over the full memory

card so that there is no confusion.

So they are empty and they are full.

So that's perfect if you work like this.

So besides we have a lance pan on

the back and some towels to clean.

And in addition of course enough batteries.

And it is also important if you travel

abroad to bring a suitable power adapter.

batteries for the speed lights as well.
