THE ROGUE'S TRIAL

This story, undoubtedly true,

was composed in poetic rhymes
by Chicó Furiba,

the one speaking to you.

It was right in front of the church
"Our Lady of Mercy",

that the so-called João Grilo,

with suicidal tendencies,
stirred trouble with the gunslingers.

He ended up losing his own life.

Oh my God,
my poor João Grilo is going to die!
