=Episode 25=

General,

the woman in the painting is that lady.

She...

How could she put herself in danger?

Impossible.

Impossible.

How sure are you?

About 70 to 80 percent.

General, I heard someone say

this lady's surname is Luo.

A descendant of the Luo Clan in Jingyang.

They can gather grain at a high price

because she brought out the property

accumulated over 100 years.

Jingyang...

Lingyu,

you even used your property to help him,

didn't you?

All soldiers, listen up!

- Here. - Here.

The battle plan for Yi Pass has changed.

Retrieve all gunpowder devices

and place them at the front line.

Once ready,

we shall confront Nanyue.

Commander, gunpowder in the gorge

is most effective there.

If we face Nanyue head-on now,

we'll surely be at a disadvantage.

Pull out all his teeth.

Yes, sir.

- Commander... - Move.

Commander!

Commander!

This is the price for loose talk.

Does anyone else have objections?

If not, get out of my sight.

Yes, sir.

Lingyu,

since you've come,

then don't leave.

I'll fight this battle for you.

(Yi Pass)

We march tonight.

Remember,

this is the closest point to Yi Pass.

You and Your Highness feign an attack,

while Mr. Huo and I cut off their rear,

try to make them use their gunpowder.

(He usually seems unreliable.)

- (But he looks commanding now.) - Advisor,

- (A true advisor.) - I can lead a team

to block them here.

What do you think?

No, let's stick to our original plan.

Proceed with caution.

Miss Luo is here.

Let's pause for now.

Everyone, go prepare quickly.

Yes, sir.

Miss Luo, we can finally eat our fill.

We even have meat.

It's all thanks to Advisor Lu.

Isn't it so?

Anyway, you can't stop the gossip.

Let's go.

- Go. - Let's go.

Why are you here?

Follow me.

What are you doing?

Shaving my beard

or killing me?

If you say one more word,

I might not hold back with this blade.

When I woke up this morning,

I saw you busy as a bee.

It's been a while since you tidied up, huh?

Look up.

♪Bright moonlight, with lanterns still burning♪

♪Deep night's hue, your face softly blurring♪

What a nice face,

but it looks so messy now.

In the military camp,

it's filled with rugged men,

who aren't too particular.

Sometimes I forget to shave for days.

So,

do you dislike me?

Don't move later.

Swords and knives are blind.

No wonder.

It's entirely your scent.

Report.

Beichu uses gunpowder to provoke.

His Highness wants to discuss with you.

I see.

You have serious matters to discuss.

Go quickly.

Wait a moment.

Be cautious in all things.

After I return,

I have something to tell you.

Today, we will reclaim lost lands

to avenge past humiliations.

Winning this battle will ensure

that the border is secure in the future.

Everyone,

do you have confidence?

Yes, we do!

Beichu has harbored ambitions

and occupies our land for a long time.

Everyone, follow Prince Hengyang

to guard the Northern Border

and defeat foes.

Defend the Northern Border, defeat foes!

To horse.

Wait for my return.

Start off.

We set off. Let's go.

You will like it

that I prepared for you, right?

I will surely make Lu Yun

disappear from your world forever.

Remember,

the purpose of this battle

is to provoke the Beichu to use gunpowder.

Charge!

Kill!

The enemy!

Miss, let me check first.

Okay.

Lingxi!

Miss! Miss!

Miss...

(They didn't use gunpowder.)

(Could it be we guessed wrong?)

Clean the battlefield.

(Lu Yun,)

(we once fought our own battles.)

(Yet you insist on coming to my battlefield.)

(Then I shall grant your wish)

(and let you witness it personally.)

(She ultimately belongs to me.)

Sir, bad news.

Someone reported

Miss Luo has been caught.

Move aside.

Huo Dao.

Lingyu.

It's been a long time.

I wonder

if you miss me.

I've traveled far to find my bride.

Go back with me.

When others ask in the future,

how will you introduce yourself?

(Mrs. Fan) Mrs. Fan.

I only ask you to stay by my side.

Is even that too much?

Let go of me.

Why are you here?

And why...

Why am I still alive?

You seem quite disappointed.

Then let me show you

the hardships I've faced.

Look closely at this scar.

Look at these.

Can you see how hard it was to survive?

You are crazy.

You madman.

As long as I can see you,

what does it matter if I'm crazy?

I sought refuge with the Beichu Third Prince,

helping him ascend the throne.

I stayed by his side, seeking favor,

and doing all sorts of degrading things.

I can hold your hand again.

I know

it was all worth it.

Report. General, battle update.

Yi Pass has fallen.

- The gunpowder... - Go away!

Yi Pass has fallen.

Beichu can't win.

Do you think I really care if Beichu wins?

My only goal now

is to trap you in this cage.

My wish is fulfilled now.

Even if you ask me to die with you,

I would still do it willingly.

But I don't understand.

You always avoid trouble.

Who are you here for this time?

For Nanyue.

To kill a traitor like you.

Fine.

If you want to kill me,

it means you still care.

I only hope that you can cling to me alone,

like this flower, for all generations.

We will never part.

Lingyu, rest well.

Lingxi.

- Young Master Lu. - Any news of Lingyu?

I took this from the person

who kidnapped Miss Luo.

A powerful figure of Beichu.

He's from Nanyue.

Internal unrest could lead to changes.

It is said there was a Nanyue hermit,

who made contributions to the throne.

Nanyue hermit?

In recent years, Beichu

has indeed smuggled a lot of saltpeter.

Skilled in the art of saltpeter

and kidnapped Lingyu...

Sir, who could this person be?

Fan Qingchen.

He's not dead.

Zhao Yuan, watch over the military camp.

Yes, sir.

I'm going to save Lingyu.

Sir...

(Fan Qingchen?)

Lingyu,

according to custom,

the groom should comb the bride's hair.

Before we depart,

let me comb your hair.

Depart?

Where are you taking me?

To a place you'll surely like.

With such despicable means,

even if you gain my body,

you will never win my heart.

If I can't, then who can?

Lu Yun?

Lingyu,

I can easily

take you away from him time and again.

You still believe he can protect you.

Who is truly humiliating themselves?

He will surely find me.

Go away!

This is the first time you've touched me.

But,

I prefer you when you're obedient.

Fan Qingchen, why?

Why must it be me?

Why?

Don't rush.

The show is just starting.

Your Highness,

they are at the snow mountain ahead.

Let's hurry and rescue them.

Wait.

(Wedding Invitation)

Funiu Mountain is close to Beichu.

The terrain is remote.

Its territory is unclear.

It's a place our Nanyue people can't reach.

Moreover, too many horses

can cause the snow to shift.

This could lead to an avalanche.

Get off. Proceed on foot.

Yes, sir.

Hurry.

You finally woke up.

Xuechen.

Fan Qingchen, what are you doing?

Let him go.

I just use a rack

to break his right arm's bones.

Lingyu, don't worry.

Is this all you've got?

Only using such crude tools.

Fan Qingchen,

I overestimated you.

For today,

I specially prepared

powerful gunpowder.

Half is here,

half is over there.

The fuse is right in front of you.

(Gunpowder?)

(So the gunpowder is here.)

Ignite it and your lives will be spared.

Lingyu, the trouble you caused

must be resolved by yourself.

Today, I want you to kill him yourself.

What if I refuse?

Refuse?

Xuechen!

Don't look.

Close your eyes.

Don't look.

You are truly ruthless to yourself.

How can you stay silent?

His hand will break soon.

Lingyu, think about it,

how much longer can he endure?

Xuechen!

Stop this. I'll go with you

to anywhere you want.

Leave him here

to fend for himself.

From this day on,

wherever I am,

I shall never see him again.

Lingyu, haven't you realized yet?

He wants me dead.

He won't spare me today.

You are too noisy.

Xuechen!

Stop.

Lingyu,

if you can't bear to kill him,

it's alright.

Do you know why I leave him a hand?

This fuse is connected

to the gunpowder on Lingyu's cage.

Ignite it

to kill both Lingyu and me.

It all ends.

I doubt your love is deeper than mine.

Fan Qingchen, you must be joking.

I'm tied up right now.

Even if I ignite the fuse,

how can there be hope for me

in this freezing weather?

Why not untie me first

and let me think it over?

Shut up!

Stop playing tricks.

I hate your conceited look.

What are you doing?

Let go of me! Let go!

What do you want to do?

I'm doing what a husband should do.

Fan Qingchen.

Let her go.

Lu Yun, watch carefully.

You don't want to see him in pain, right?

Why not give him relief?

Fan Qingchen,

this will only make me hate you more.

Besides that,

you can't get anything at all.

Isn't hatred good?

Love fades away,

but hatred lasts long.

I want you to never forget,

unable to avoid or escape.

I want us entangled forever.

Being entangled forever

is truly laughable.

I'm the one she truly loves.

She will remember me forever.

All your efforts

are in vain.

Have you ever thought

if you don't ignite this fuse today,

I will keep her by my side forever.

One day,

she will completely belong to me.

Everything you've done

is just to make me suffer.

But now that it's come to this,
