[Love of Petals]

[Episode 24]

The Source of All Water...

The Top of the Dangerous Moon...

Everything is ready.

Now, I just need to wait for the morning bell.

Why isn't anything happening?

Did I do something wrong?

Qingcheng?

Qingcheng!

Father...

It's really you.

Qingcheng, you've grown up so much.

The Flower Goddess was right.

Qingcheng,

you're indeed the destined person.

Father.

How could it be you?

What's

going on here?

This goes

way back.

Do you remember a dream you had when you were little?

It was on a

very, very high mountain.

Back then,

I took you out to learn about flowers and plants,

but we encountered danger.

Your life was hanging by a thread.

At that moment,

an immortal dressed in white

appeared

among the flowers.

When he arrived,

all the flowers bloomed in abundance,

filling the air with their fragrance.

It was the Flower Goddess who saved your life

using the power of Flower Spirit.

From that day on, I vowed

to dedicate the rest of my life to flowers and plants

as a way of showing my gratitude.

So,

all these years,

those scenes that haunted my dreams

were real after all?

No wonder

Master's Flower Spirit can enter my body.

It turns out that, from that moment on,

my body had already changed.

After that,

I was fortunate enough

to meet the Flower Goddess once more.

My liuli grass.

Luckily, you're intact.

I've finally managed to save you.

Otherwise, all that effort would have been for nothing.

Sir, you truly keep your promises,

even guarding this small liuli grass

so well.

Flower Goddess?

Sir, we meet again.

Why are you here?

Looking for

the destined person.

The destined person?

Sir,

I have a favor to ask.

I wonder if you could help.

Qingcheng,

you are the destined person the Flower Goddess was looking for.

I now give you the scroll

that records all of Yuxiao's deeds.

The Flower Goddess truly had foresight about everything.

The Flower Goddess

had already sensed

Yuxiao's treachery at that time.

She secretly cast

the Flower and Moon Reflections Technique

at Mount Shouyang

and the Flower God's Mansion without anyone knowing.

All of Yuxiao's deeds

have been recorded in this scroll.

To keep this scroll

from falling into the wrong hands,

she entrusted me with this secret.

Yuxiao would never have imagined

that this secret

would be in the hands of a mere mortal like me.

Could it be that the Flower Goddess

guided me to meet my master in some mysterious way?

If so...

I can finally bring Yuxiao

to justice.

Qingcheng.

How have you been

all these years?

I've been very well,

Father.

Everyone

in the Sun Family

has been very kind to me.

It's just that...

every day,

I've missed you

terribly.

You must not,

Qingcheng!

The Flower and Moon Reflections Technique

gives one a sense of being present,

but it's just an illusion after all.

You must not get lost in it.

You still have many things to do.

Now, I have seen you this once.

I want nothing more

in this life.

Father.

Qingcheng,

you've all grown up!

Go do what you think is right!

After all these years...

I finally saw the person...

I've always longed to see.

So, that's how it is.

It's too late today.

Let's put it here for now.

Autumn breeze over moonlit waters.

Truly a perfect place to bury flowers.

I wondered who it might be.

It turns out to be the esteemed Immortal Yuxiao honoring us with his presence.

What brings you to Shouyang Mountain

at such a late hour?

You know very well why I'm here.

If you don't interfere,

you can still be the Mountain God of Shouyang.

If you insist on stopping me,

I don't mind

scattering your soul to the winds.

Then, let's see if you can.

Longque,

you really

picked up all of Jiang Li's bad habits.

Hundreds of years have passed,

yet you're still as annoying as ever.

I've lived for a thousand years.

I can't change.

You go away first.

Leave this to me.

Done catching up?

Then, let's do it.

I've never been hit by the Immortal Lord before.

It should hurt quite a bit.

At death's door

and still so chatty.

Let's attack!

I never intended to kill you,

but you all insist on standing

in my way, one after another.

Stop!

Immortal Yuxiao.

Qingcheng?

You've finally shown your true face.

Qingcheng.

Look.

I've helped remove the persistent obstacle in your heart.

What did you do to it?

Without the shackles binding your heart,

you will surely make rapid progress.

With your talent,

you will be another immortal in the Flower Goddess Realm.

You're crazy.

I'm crazy?

You're wasting your excellent talent

by indulging in love all day long.

You're the one who's crazy!

Qingcheng.

Forget everything here

and return to the Heavenly Realm with me.

I'll help you

become an immortal in the Flower Goddess Realm.

I'm going to the Heavenly Realm.

I want all the immortals in the Heavenly Realm

to see your true face, Yuxiao.

In that case,

don't blame me for attacking you.

Immortal Yuheng,

you've heard everything, haven't you?

Yuxiao.

Stop this now.

You've been planning this together

to deal with me for a long time, right?

Gu Qingcheng.

Lyu Gengyun has already turned to ash.

Why are you still so obstinate?

You have your clever schemes,

and I have my own countermeasures.

Wait a moment.

What's wrong?

Yuxiao is the most cunning of all.

If he can't find Master's true form,

he won't give up easily.

We're just moving to another place now,

but it won't solve the fundamental problem.

What should we do then?

Ye You.

Could you please use your shadow

to create a fake peony?

I can.

Then hide my master's true form in the Sun's Mansion in Pingcheng.

Here's a bottle of Weak Water.

Do you remember Zisu?

I do.

That chubby little girl, right?

Ask Zisu

to water it daily

to take good care of Master.

Yuxiao

looks down on mortals the most.

He would never have expected

that we would hide it in the mortal world.

Here.

Oh, right.

Give me the plum blossom pendant.

Just in case.

Girl.

You're considering things

much more thoroughly than before.

Master is not here with me now.

I can't speak and act

as I did before anymore.

By the way,

did you find any information about

that bottle of mud I brought back last time?

There's an unexpected person involved in this.

Who?

You'll find out when the time comes.

Alright.

Thank you both for your generous help.

I, Qingcheng,

have no way to repay you.

Repay me?

What relationship do I have with Lyu Gengyun?

You think I could simply stand by and watch Yuxiao murder him?

Yuxiao.

Come back to the Heavenly Realm with me for the trial.

Flower God Yuxiao,

you conveyed a fake decree from the Heavenly Emperor,

cultivated the malevolent inner demon,

and drove Jiang Li and Bai Yu to their deaths.

Do you admit it?

Immortal Qin Shan,

I thought

this case had already been concluded.

That's because you deceived everyone.

Everyone,

this is the Flower and Moon Reflections Technique of Flower Goddess Jiang Li.

Yuxiao,

considering you're Jiang Li's junior,

I won't make things difficult for you.

But if you set foot on Shouyang Mountain again,

there will be consequences.

Is that so, Bai Yu?

You seduced the Flower Goddess of the Heavenly Realm,

leading Flower Goddess Jiang Li to violate Heavenly Law.

She was executed on the Immortal-Slaying Platform two days ago.

Yet you still refuse to admit your guilt?

What?

Jiang Li is...

Jiang Li is dead.

Jiang Li is dead.

Jiang Li is dead.

Jiang Li is dead.

Avenge her.

Avenge her.

Kill everyone.

Kill everyone.

Kill everyone!

Father!

Mother!

You've heard about

Bai Yu massacring the creatures of Shouyang Mountain

and being executed by the Heavenly Realm, right?

I know my husband

better than anyone.

There must be more to this story.

I'm afraid you, my junior,

are not entirely uninvolved in this matter.

As the Flower Goddess,

you dared to consort with the Demon King.

By law, your immortal soul shall be shattered.

But the Heavenly Emperor is merciful

and has granted you the Soul-Exempting Water

to spare you from suffering.

After I die,

I'm afraid that the position of Flower God

will undoubtedly fall to you.

But, Junior,

I'll never hand over the hereditary Luowei Flower Seed of the Flower God

to you.

Dear,

wait for me.

I'm coming.

Just a mere flower seed,

and you think it'd block my path to becoming the Flower God?

Ridiculous.

Yuxiao,

do you have anything else to say?

Jiang Li violated the heavenly laws and rules.

Should she not have been punished?

Your Majesty,

I was merely

an ordinary gardener in Pingcheng originally.

Every time Immortal Yuxiao descended upon Pingcheng,

the flowers and plants there suffered!

For his own selfish desires,

he disregarded the safety of Pingcheng's people,

persecuted mortals,

and damaged flora!

His crimes cannot go unpunished!

Do you have any evidence?

I have found an important witness on Lotus Island

in the southern Wetlands.

Earlier, I

found some mud

in Immortal Yuxiao's room.

It struck me as strange,

so I investigated further.

Longque,

can you take a look at this?

What's this thing?

What is it?

This smell...

It's like the mud from the Wetlands.

You mean

the Wetlands that specialize in

reconstructing physical bodies?

When we arrived at the Wetlands,

we discovered

Yuxiao's former celestial attendant, Tiandong.

Tiandong.

You killed countless mortals

and destroyed their flowers and plants.

How dare you show up here?

Immortal Yuxiao, are you scared?

Are you not allowing Tiandong to tell the truth?

Your Majesty,

it was Immortal Yuxiao who ordered me to poison the Moonlight Peony!

Inject this into the Moonlight Peony.

Leave no trace.

Yes.

He also ordered me to

harm Lyu Gengyun,

trapping him in the desires of the Moon-Gazing Well.

Your Excellency, are you really going to use

the Jade Hairpin

to lure them into

the Moon-Gazing Well?

If so...

won't you be in danger too?

It doesn't matter.

Your Excellency,

why don't

I go in your place?

I have already promised.

How could I break my word to her?

Your Excellency,

ever since you descended to the mortal world,

you've repeatedly put yourself in danger.

It's all for Gu Qingcheng.

I don't understand

why you do this.

Who do you think you are?

How dare you meddle in my affairs?

To seize the Luowei Flower Seed,

he committed all sorts of evil deeds.

Then why did you confess

in Pingcheng?

It was Yuxiao who ordered me to take the blame.

If the Heavenly Realm punishes both of us,

it'll be difficult to redeem ourselves.

Don't worry.

I won't let your sacrifice be in vain.

Later,

I will go to Lotus Island

and use the lotus...

to reconstruct your body.

But after it was done,

he threw me into the southern mud,

turning me into this state—

neither human

nor ghost.

Yuxiao.

Back then, you pretended to be a good person to save Lyu Gengyun,

but now we can see how despicable you truly are.

Was the Sun Family's suffering

your doing?

And Wushuang...

did you kill her?

Yuxiao personally

killed Wushuang.

And Ya Zi's parents.

They were also killed

because they accidentally witnessed him

implanting the inner demon within Bai Yu.

Then he framed Bai Yu for it.

When Yuxiao uses his inner demon planting technique,

red clouds appear in the sky,

dyeing the moon red.

It happened when Bai Yu went mad

and with Ya Zi.

All the immortals present can testify to this.

I implore Your Majesty to investigate thoroughly.

Gu Qingcheng,

you've done so much for Lyu Gengyun,

but have you ever thought about doing something

for yourself?

I originally thought...

that only you understood me,

but I never expected you to be so mundane as well.

The love in your heart

will only become an obstacle for you,

just like my foolish Senior.

With your talents,

you could have achieved so much as immortals!

I'm just clearing the obstacles for you!

Yuxiao,

as the Flower God,

you have lost all conscience!

Today,

I will make you

perish, body and soul!

Fairy Cailu,

you have done well by exposing Yuxiao.

I hear you love and protect flowers

and have a destiny with immortals.

After Yuxiao's death,

you shall be

the new Flower Goddess.

Qingcheng,

congratulations.

You've finally got what you wanted.

You know it.

What I wanted

was never this position of Flower Goddess.

Ridiculous.

How ridiculous!

You will never see each other again.

In this world, every gain

comes with a sacrifice.

Your Majesty,

I don't want this position of Flower Goddess.

I only ask for two things.

First,

I hope you can clear the names of Jiang Li and Bai Yu,

announce it to the world,

and restore their innocence.

Granted.

As for the second matter...

I hope you will allow me to enter

the Three Thousand Flowers World.

If you enter the Three Thousand Flowers World,

all of your memories will be erased.

No one can guarantee

that you'll be able to find Lyu Gengyun.

If I can't find him in 100 years,

I'll search for 500 years.

If I still can't find him after 500 years,

I'll search for another 1,000 years.

My master once told me.

As long as

there's longing in one's heart,

lovers

will meet in every lifetime.

Are you really willing to

give up the revered position

of immortal

for such a slim hope?

My mind is made up.

Your Majesty, I hope you will grant my wish.

So be it.

She never loved the Flowers Immortal Lord,

but Lyu Gengyun.

The one and only Lyu Gengyun in this world.

While I

foolishly attempted to become that one and only.

I was wrong from the very beginning.

You're clearly weak and ordinary,

yet why are you willing to risk your life for others?

One day,

if you meet someone you love, Your Excellency,

you will surely come to understand this feeling.

Your Majesty.

I am

willing to offer my immortal root and physical body

in exchange for Gu Qingcheng's

peaceful and prosperous life

for the rest of her days.

Yuxiao,

you are naturally gifted and intelligent.

Why

have you fallen so far, step by step?

Once the thought has arisen,

there's no turning back.

I failed to take good care of Grandmother,

nor did I win Gu Qingcheng's heart for myself.

Everything...

was wrong from the very beginning.

Master,

within the Three Thousand Flowers World,

amidst all living beings of heaven and earth,

we will always

♫Evergreen like the bond we share♫

reunite

on days

blessed with warm sunshine, glistening dewdrops,

and gentle spring breezes.

♫Liuli grass sways, carrying my longing♫

♫Fate turns, time flows like a waterwheel♫

♫Peonies bloom, stars shine deep in the clouds♫

[Qingcheng Flower Nursery]

Why is there no one in such a beautiful flower garden?

I'll go ask for some water to drink.

Hello,

is anyone here?

Is anyone here?

Excuse me,

is anyone here?

I'm just passing by

and would like to ask for some water.

Hello.

Could I have some water here?

You're here.

I've been waiting for you for a very...

♫For you♫

very long time.

♫I'm willing to keep searching with joy and sorrow♫

♫With you♫

Do you know...

♫It's never too late as long as we are together♫

between the two of us,

I was actually

♫In dreams, fleeting as flowers, may we turn and look back♫

the first to fall in love?

♫Spring returns, and our reunion shining bright at last♫

If we must part ways...

♫A path home, paved with petals so grand♫

♫I know you're waiting on the other end♫

I will wait in a place where flowers bloom like the sea...

♫Just as I have wished♫

for...

our reunion.

♫Just as I have wished♫

Lyu Gengyun!

You can't leave me!

♫How do you see through the means of fate?♫

♫The mortal world is our chess board and we have some regrets♫

I also wish that Qingcheng and I

could go back to the day we first met.

♫Longings are blooming all over the lake again♫

♫Time can solve all problems♫

♫But it just stands by♫

♫I'm willing to use all my courage♫

It's been a long time.

♫For the happiness of the next life♫

It's been a long time.

♫For you♫

♫I'm willing to keep searching with joy and sorrow♫

♫With you♫

♫It's never too late as long as we are together♫

My name is Gu Qingcheng,

♫In dreams, fleeting as flowers, may we turn and look back♫

a flower gardener in Pingcheng.

And this is

♫Spring returns, and our reunion shining bright at last♫

the story of me growing peonies—

no,

♫A path home, paved with petals so grand♫

the story of

me and my most respected,

most beautiful

♫I know you're waiting on the other end♫

master.

♫Just as I have wished♫

[If life were only as it was at first sight, I would wait for you at the end]

[The End]
