I'm really nervous now, but I'm really happy

that you are all here, where people come

from really far away.

I begin with a small video that I've

done only to come in the mood.

And after we begin.

So how we begin?

How I think we would like many of

you for trying to find something to get

money like a hobby.

It was really a hobby for us.

We begin for it was like an accident,

I got to say, because we were in

a wedding invite for a friend from Anna

in 2011.

And I had a small camera.

And she had a small camera.

Also, we done picture and video, but like

Uncle Bob.

And we've done a small product, but it

was only because I had fun to edit

a little bit.

She had fun to make the pictures and

we give to the bride and she was

really happy.

The feedback, it was so nice if the

product wasn't nice, but the feedback, it was

nice.

And I said, I tried to think, actually,

it was the bride that she told us

try to make it as a business.

And so we begin, we try, okay, maybe

we could earn some money with this.

Let's try.

And 2012, we've done two weddings of friends.

And with that, we begin to put a

small website and she done all the design

and everything.

And with that, we begin to have really

many requests, maybe because we were really cheap,

really, really cheap.

And also because I think that we were

one of the first company in Germany that

we offer both, so photo and video together.

And yeah, thanks for this.

We begin slowly to go inside to this

world of, we know nothing.

We really, we offer our first package.

It was something like, how much it was?

1800 euro, I think, for 14 hours, photo

and video and photo booth.

It was really a disaster.

We were really, really bad with the business.

But it was good for us to start

like this, because we learn really, really a

lot.

We know, we begin to understand our limits.

And we understand, we begin to understand what

we wanted to go to do, what we

wanted to build.

And we had that 2014, we had something

like 69 weddings.

And I say, wow, good, wow, 69 weddings,

strong.

No, it wasn't good.

At the end of the year, we wanted

to quit.

We wanted really to stop it.

It was horrible.

We said we couldn't go on like this.

We've got to change.

We've got to ask more money.

We've got to make less weddings.

And slowly we are going in the right

direction.

But it wasn't an easy way.

Now I show you one of my first

wedding, guys.

So this was the wedding that I shot

for a friend of mine in 2012.

And only to show you a little bit

from where I begin.

This is really, I know nothing about color

grading.

I know nothing about right of music.

I only take the music what I find

in internet.

But there's a little bit of something.

Obsession.

But with this wedding, we had 35 weddings

the year after.

I don't know if it was for this

or for the price really cheap.

I don't know.

But yeah.

But you see, there's a little bit of

curiosity in trying to build something that brings

curiosity.

You watch it and say, ah, what could

happen?

There's this music.

I every time like it to play with

this thing.

Now we watched one of my lastest videos

from last year.

It was a wedding in Toscana.

This is really a dramatic video, but I

really like this.

It really represents me.

German, but I think that it doesn't matter

if you don't understand really what they say.

I think that the feeling it's there.

So I wrote, what means today to be

a wedding videographer?

When I began, my dream, it was to

become a videographer, to become a video maker.

When I began to make wedding videos, I

had the feeling that the wedding videographer, it

wasn't considered a wedding videographer, a videographer, because

it's something, ah, wedding videographer, okay, okay, okay.

Something that it doesn't matter.

It's something too easy.

But I think that this thing is going

to change.

It's changing because the wedding videography, you can

say it also, that it's a long time

that you are playing.

The wedding videography is changing.

In the past, the wedding videography, it was

really a boring, long film, or it was

like this, or I don't know.

I have my uncle or aunt or parents

that they have a videocassette or DVD, three,

four, five DVDs that they watch at one

time and never more.

I'm trying to think and try to think

if you've got a video like this or

more artistic from your parents, how it could

be nice to watch that day in this

way.

I'm thinking that it could be amazing.

I think that in these years that the

things are changing in the wedding videography industry

because the equipment, it's cheaper, it's cheaper, and

we can begin to make something that looks

really amazing, that looks really cinematic and cool.

Really, we have to have respect to the

people who are doing the wedding videography because

you are playing with an event that happened

mostly one time.

You've got to capture it in the best

way as possible and to give it in

a packet.

You couldn't miss a moment.

You couldn't forget to record the one audio

or to take a hug of the father

to the bride.

There are all moments that it will be

really difficult to have it again in the

future.

The couple, they will watch it.

Every time when we show the video and

you see the couple that they are crying,

it's so beautiful.

So, I think that really the wedding videography

industry is going to change.

In the last years, it's changed a lot

already.

We see on Facebook already how many great

videographers there are.

There are many great people who create really

great films.

The next thing that I wrote here is

where I get my inspiration.

My inspiration, when I go on a wedding

day, is to recreate something that I saw

in the cinema.

The feeling that I have in many films.

The difference between cinema and wedding videography are

two different worlds, two completely different worlds.

In the cinema, you try to recreate an

emotion with faking everything.

So, you take actors, really good actors, you

know everything about lighting, camera and everything, and

you try to recreate a moment.

A child, 10 times, it's not good.

This is the cinema.

You try to recreate an emotion.

In the wedding, it's totally opposite.

In the wedding, you've got to go there,

take everything, and after, when you are at

home, alone there, you've got to recreate this

moment.

It was one time, you had to take

it in the best way possible, and after,

at home, you've got to recreate it.

There are two different worlds, but there's something

common that is the way how you take

that moment.

So, I've got here a small video, but

it's a small video.

It's four minutes, something, and it's all small

shots of different kinds of films with nice

music.

You will see a tiger, you will see

brave hearts and something like this, nothing to

do with weddings, but you will see also

many shots of moments that you can find

in a wedding, and it could be an

expression, a movement, a reaction

that you can see or can find on

the wedding, and if you arrive to take

it in a good way, you can recreate

something so beautiful.

I show you this video like a part

of my inspiration because it's really like this.

I watch it really often because how many

shots do you think that it could be

in a wedding?

There were many, many shots that could happen

in a wedding, and when I'm in a

wedding, I know that now the father is

coming.

I remember that there's one shot of the

hands or something.

It could be nice to have this moment

in this way.

I'm trying to connect it a little bit

with what I saw, what gave me emotion

to watching different kind of films, and I

want to look for it when I'm in

the wedding.

I'm looking like a sniper.

I'm watching where it could happen, when it

could happen, and I'm looking at these things.

Your emotions make your film.

Your emotions make your film.

It's like this.

I think that if you want to make

the next step, next level of making videography,

wedding videography, wedding film, you've got to think

about your emotion, what you feel in a

wedding, what you want to show.

I find that I've done a big step

in the last two years because I began

to make the video, the film for the

couple, but it wasn't the video for the

couple.

The film, it was for me.

It sounds not nice, but it's like this.

Every time when I'm doing a film, I'm

doing for me.

I want to be the first one to

love my film, and this is the first

thing that gave me the opportunity to have

a little bit of success with the films.

It was because I put my power to

create something that I really like, and this

is what I offer to the couple who

come to us.

The couple who come to us, I say,

hey, guys, you watched my film.

This is my style.

This is my way to work.

I'm melancholic.

I'm dramatic, cinematic, and emotional.

I like to look at these things.

I look at these things.

You will not see a happy video.

You can't choose the music.

You can't choose what I show you in

the video.

The video, one video, it's this one, the

one that I give you, the first one.

It's my personal point of view of your

day, and I give really much power to

make the best what I can because, and

after I give another video.

Another video, it's 20 minutes, 30 minutes, but

it's really everything what happened in that day

from the getting ready to the end, all

the speeches that are inside, the cut of

the cake, the shot of the dress, there's

everything, but like this, but you got to

let me do the video how I want.

This film, it must be exactly how I

want.

I am choosing the part that give me

more emotion on the wedding.

I'm looking every time when there's a speech,

when there's a moment, I'm there, and I'm

thinking, wow, this could be the main part

of the film.

This could be the part that it would

be in the best moment in the film.

I find that there are two different kind

of way to create a product.

There's a creative way, and there's an artist,

creativity and artist.

What is the difference between a creative and

an artist?

The creative, I find that the creative guy,

the guy who make the things in a

creative way, he gives a product that is

beautiful, perfect, and the client is for sure

satisfied because he can put everything in the

nice way, in the most beautiful way to

make happy the client.

The artist is the one who put his

emotion in the product and could be that

not everybody like it.

When you see a product, you feel emotion,

you feel the character of the person, and

this is what I'm thinking that is the

best to do, to try to make something

artistic, not creative.

Yes, sure, make something creative to get more

money, but make something artistic for you.

Because like this, you can be happy with

what are you doing.

You are not somebody who do something, you

are something who do something for you.

Because when I show one video, when I

public one video, I feel like that you

are in love, you are really happy, you've

got to be happy.

You don't have to send a video only

because they ask you to pay money.

I've done so many videos for free, for

free, only because I'm happy to do it.

I'm lucky that after they offer me, now

I ask much money and they pay me.

I'm happy about this for sure, but my

first goal is that I'm doing something that

I'm happy, I'm doing something to earn money.

I'm lucky that now I'm earning money with

this, but it wasn't my first goal.

It wasn't for sure my first goal to

earn money with this.

Find your style and do your own rules.

It's counterproductive on the workshop to say it

now, but I will show you everything what

I'm doing.

But guys, believe me, there are no rules.

You make your rules and find your own

style.

How to find my own style?

I don't know.

I like your video.

I want to make the video.

It takes time.

It takes time to get your style.

I didn't get my style in one month,

but it's your character, your emotion, your sensibility,

your way to look at the things will

describe your style.

If you are a guy that you are

really happy, you like the happy things, you

will care about happy things.

If you are more emotional, you will care

about the emotional stuff.

And after you look how you dress, how

everything, it makes your style.

And this, everything of you, you've got to

put it in your product.

Now I will show you three of my

favorite artists of wedding videography.

These are three videos.

One is probably many of you know it.

There's Sharon for Fiori film.

There's the Cost sister and Alejandro Calore.

There are three guys, one is a girl,

one are two girls, and one is a

guy that I find that make a product

like an artist.

You will see three different, completely different kind

of weddings and three completely different kind of

style.

One, the first one, she use only monopod

or tripod, but beautiful.

The second one, there are two sister that

they are on the wedding with the camera

in the hand.

Something that I will say, never use the

camera in the hand.

They make a wedding with the camera in

the hand.

Two girls like this dress good, but it's

good.

You will see how it's cut and everything.

And the third one is amazing.

It's Anesh.

This is really a kind of artist because

all you love him, all you hate him.

And this is an artist that not everybody

like an artist who love Picasso.

I know he has so big success, but

come on.

It's an artist.

This is the Fiori, the Fiori film.

When I wrote the song, I could only

think about how we have been together for

so long.

I met Sarah seven years ago, which we

actually went to college together.

First date, she said, Hey, you know, I'm

going to be a lawyer in New York.

Well, I'm going to be a rock star

in LA.

So we pray you don't stop singing, but

rather that you sing better since you will

be singing with Sarah every note of your

life.

You know, the way I think of Sarah

and the way I think of Adam, they're

just together, but Sarah being my only daughter

special.

I'm so proud of you and what you

two do in the future.

and downs and twists and turns and all

those things.

And one thing that I know that Adam

and Sarah have for each other is love,

true, deep, special love.

I really wanted to show in the lyrics

So I named the song I do to

And the story of this, and she sent

me this video because she liked the story,

the groom that he wrote for the bride.

It didn't fit her style, but she found

her.

She takes this music and she gives it

to another artist to mix it, to make

that it fits to her style.
