How are things going?

As always, I hope that everything goes as

best as possible because the truth is that

it seemed that the virus had gone and

is still calling the door and is still

kicking my ass.

I don't know, as Erika says, let's go

week by week and may God take us

confessed.

Well, having said all this, and as always,

we are going to forget about the virus

because, as I say so many times, I

am neither a doctor nor a scientist, but

I am an autonomous young man who would

like to work.

We'll see what happens.

Well, having said that, I would like to

share with you a couple of things in

this video, or a couple of things, several

images specifically, because I would like to review

with you the challenge in which we were

all invited, not only me, but also you

and all of us, in which to remember

that conversation that we had with Víctor Martí

and Iñaki Luncarán in which there was a

debate about vertical photography or horizontal photography.

The truth is that nobody has to convince

me of what my criteria are when it

comes to photographing an image vertically or getting

to horizontal photography.

You already know that my arguments are quite

solid, they are complicated to move.

In addition, as many of you know, I

am an Aragon guy and those of Aragon

are famous for being clumsy, clumsy and difficult

to convince.

I am one of them, clearly, but as

a good Aragonese, I also like all the

challenges or proposals or those challenges.

And I remember that, well, what Víctor said,

for me, Víctor, as you all know, is

a great photographer whom I admire a lot.

And I was left in the subconscious of

saying, hey, why don't I do that, why

don't I consider that, to play, to add

it as a new challenge, a new experience

of getting to compose vertical images in the

next weddings or in the next sessions.

So I came up with a good idea,

to collect some of the latest photos that

I have taken vertically to share them with

you and share the result with you.

I must say, I have not shot so

little vertically in the last two months, but

from time to time I have shot some

that I actually like and I find in

a way interesting and that is why I

am going to share them with all of

you.

The first of all is this image and

if I shot it vertically it was because

of the simple thing is that I like

that game in which from the head down,

towards the middle body, the back specifically, that

curve works, it gives me a rhythm, it

gives me strength and everything directs me to

the same being or to the same element,

which is the back or the back of

the bride, and that's it.

I must say that when Erika was shown,

she was not so surprised by this image

either, she told me, well, but personally the

truth is that I like it, it seems

to me in a certain way attractive and

for that reason I shot it vertically, for

the meaning, everything is one thing, everything is

an element and that was the reason.

The next image that I want to show

you is this, in which Erika appears.

It was taken last week, it was taken

specifically in a small town in Portugal that

I highly recommend that you visit, it is

called Aveiro and next to Aveiro there is

a little town also smaller, it is like

a neighborhood called I think Costa Nova and

it is amazing, they are all almost three

colors and we were playing.

Why did I shoot it vertically?

For the simple reason that it is a

game of, how would I say, of lines,

of geometry, of composition, it is a game

to have fun with the squares in the

square that Erika was in, the door has

the same size as the square in which

Erika was and the upper part, the upper

part is perfectly connected to the lower one,

it is a game like, as I say,

of lines and it seems really good to

me, at least it seems interesting to me.

The second image that I want to show

you is this, in which I had already

spoken, with which I am not going to

stop much in it, in how I took

it, because there is a video that is

dedicated to that, but as I already told

you, the upper part with the lower part

are completely connected, especially that shape that it

has, that shadow, sorry, in the shape of

a flower, it seems very interesting to me

and as I tell you, the lower part

is connected to the upper one, the colors

are complementary both in one place and in

another, it seems to me that it is

fine, well, or I like it.

The next image that I want to talk

to you about vertically is also this, in

which again, as you are seeing, the lower

part with the upper part is completely connected,

that hand from above that is pouring the

salt on the octopus that is at the

bottom, it seemed interesting to me, you see

that I am trying to show you different

parts of a wedding or sessions, that is

to say, the photo that I am showing

you now belongs specifically to the moment of

the cocktail or the reception in which one

of the chefs was putting salt on top

of a skewer, just like the others I

had shown you through different parts.

One of the parts or one of the

most attractive photos that I think, mainly because

the ceremony is usually quite bad for me

and I do not usually take the photos

that I would like to take and I

am talking about this image in which, well,

personally it seems really attractive to me and

the connection of the circle, well, of the

body of Christ, of the little circle, so

that you understand me, in which the priest

holds, for example, is the same, that is,

it has a repetition with the upper circle,

with which it really seemed to me, that

is, attractive, to join those two circles, the

body of Christ with the great circular window

also above the photo and that makes it

connected, both the lower part, the earthly part,

with the upper part that would come to

be God.

I haven't gone crazy yet, don't worry, but

I think that's why.

You see that when I shoot vertically or

when I propose that it has been because

there is a meaning, there is a value

behind it, there is a connection both in

the different parts of the image, both upper

and vertical, I mean, I am not going

to shoot vertically because, yes, as I have

told you, I have my values well established,

my arguments well established as a photographer and

it is difficult to change my mind, especially

in the values that I have been trusting

for so many years and that is how

I think about horizontal and vertical photography, we

already talked about that, as I told you

in the talk I had with Iñaki and

with Víctor.

As a last image I wanted to show

you this portrait in which I captured it

at the precise moment in which the bride

sat in the car, she was shooting just

horizontally and I remembered the phrase, Víctor Martí's

challenge to shoot vertically and I quickly said,

here it can work because it is a

perfectly closed portrait, it also redirects you perfectly

at the moment, that sweet moment of the

bride in which she covers herself with the

veil, her father is about to arrive, I

mean, that moment that seemed really beautiful to

me, really interesting and it seemed to me

that in black and white, in addition to

vertical, it could work perfectly because black and

white, it is true that the color could

work and some photos of this series are

in color but this one in black and

white I placed it like this because it

seemed much easier to me to get to

the meaning or that the image had more

strength and a much simpler reading than what

could have been a color.

Vertically, honestly, because it worked well, I did

not want to add anything to the right

and nothing to the left because the car

was empty at that moment, there was no

father next to her, so if I did

it, if the photograph was taken horizontally on

the left and on the right, there was

plenty of information and it seemed that the

bride was alone, not at all, she did

not have that meaning that I wanted her

to have, that was the meaning or the

reason, sorry, for which I shot vertically and

for which, as I tell you, I close

the plane to the maximum so that all

the weight of the image was held by

her, that is, specifically the moment in which

the veil is being touched and all these

things, so these were the six images that

I wanted to share with you, believe me,

believe me that there are some more but

not many more that really caught my attention

and even more when I was creating, for

example, this post, I was convinced that there

were more images and the truth is that

when I was just looking and I have

reviewed the last five weddings to see if

I found something and I have not found

anything, that is, it has been like hell,

I do not say that there are only

these and it is that I am like

that, I am more horizontal and less vertical

but I do not know what your challenge

will be and if you have fulfilled it

or you have gone through everything like shit
