In today's video, and it's worth the redundancy,

I would like to share with you one

of the experiences, or the last experience we

had with Erika, photographing one of our last

weddings, specifically the last wedding we photographed in

Barcelona, which was last weekend.

I would like to do a little analysis

of the whole wedding, I would like to

show you some of the best images, I

would like to stop in some of those

points that I think are important, I would

like to give you some advice, or simply

on the march, you will hear them, and

I think this video can be interesting because

some of the things I'm going to tell

you, many of you will feel reflected and

you will connect with some of the things

that I'm going to share with you.

So, what I'm going to do, so as

not to entertain myself more, is to go

a little, analyzing or summarizing a little how

the wedding was and what things we did,

and you're going to see how I'm going

to move forward.

First of all, I have to say that

it was a wedding of a couple, really,

which, from here, I don't think they see

me, but I want to thank them, because

they were brave to get married in these

times when everything is still a little uncertain.

In fact, it was the couple who hired

antigens for all their guests, so that they

could celebrate a wedding with guarantees, or with

more guarantees than there are at the moment.

We must also thank them for hiring us

and for giving us the opportunity to work

and, after all, to let us work many

times as we like to work.

It is also true that there were times

when it was quite difficult for us, but

it is also true that you have to

understand a young couple who get married for

the first time and that sometimes the nerves

accumulate and everything goes very fast, but I

think that is part of all weddings and

I'm sure many of you already know what

I'm talking about.

So we had that incredible couple from Barcelona

and, like all weddings, the day before we

wanted to take a look at the church

and the hacienda where they were going to

celebrate the wedding.

Although, as I say, we had several meetings

with the grooms and the grooms told us

that the church was very beautiful, they also

told us that there was a second floor

where we could go up because they already

knew us by our style and they knew

that type of photos that we like, and

they also told us that the farm was

very beautiful and that we should visit it

and meet the organizer of the farm and

all this.

So we went there on Friday to take

a look and luckily we went because, although

the farm was correct, we could say that

sometimes it was a little humble, a little

basic and why not say it?

For us it was not that favorite farm.

Why?

Because it did not have those creative resources

that we, photographic resources, sorry, that we usually

like.

I'm talking about, you know, places where there

are clean backgrounds, where the light shines in

an incredible way, where we can develop those

little things or those photographic elements that we

like so much.

But weddings are like that, we had to

adapt, of course.

So on Friday we saw that the farm

was not to our liking, even though we

analyzed a little all the nearby areas, I

mean, to see if there was something nearby,

I mean, a few meters away, where there

was, for example, an old abandoned house, an

abandoned wall, something interesting to be able to

photograph near the farm.

Because, although the groom had told us with

all the love in the world that next

to the farm there was a very interesting

vineyard, the truth is that, when the groom

said that there was an incredible vineyard, I

thought, or I imagined, that the vineyard was

the typical one, like the vineyards of, for

example, California, which are on a hill, which

are lost on the horizon at sunset.

Yes, like that, I have that imagination.

Well, no, the vineyard was this one, so

you see that things were not as I

had imagined and that is why it is

so important that on Friday, well, we took

a look at everything, so we quickly saw

or understood with Erika that that farm was

not going to photographically facilitate the things of

being able to easily create an incredible photograph,

so we were going to have to work

hard and use creative resources, now yes, creative

resources that we have been acquiring over the

years, I mean, the experience of a photographer

gives him to have that sufficient baggage to

be able to create images in places that

do not accommodate their interests or tastes, I

mean, although we like to play with master

lines, with hard lights, if we do not

have them, we have to know that we

can play with other resources such as a

flash, in fact, in this case it was

that, because the farm did not attract me,

you understand me, so vineyards either, so I

had to create an atmosphere, I had to

create a underworld in my head or abstract

myself from all that and create this, that

is, create an image that, as you are

seeing, well, you don't see a vineyard, you

don't see the farm, but I like it

and it is the most important thing, I

also think that the couple will also like

it, or I hope so, but you see

a little of what it is about, if

that does not work for me, I will

find another formula to get ahead and it

is not my style to play with flashes,

but I know how to use them perfectly

and I can get ahead, you understand me,

that's why I think that 1.

Expectations, 2.

Independently, whether you like to use the flash

or not, I think it is very good

that you know how to use it because

you never know what is going to happen,

in situations like this, you see that it

helped a lot, and 3.

You have to learn from all this type

of experiences so that they don't make you

come down, you understand me, that is, the

expectation usually leads if it is not conducted

you have to master it enough, okay?

Something similar happened in the church, in principle,

we could not see it from the inside,

but from the outside we checked it a

little, we checked all the streets and the

thing is that there was nothing interesting, there

was nothing that we liked, so everything was

on standby and the day before at night,

having dinner with Erika, I told her, Erika,

at today's wedding, at tomorrow's wedding, things may

not be as easy as they seemed to

be, because we are going to have to

get oil from where there is not, and

Erika told me, well, like so many times,

how many times have we had an incredible

couple or a good couple, but the farm

has not accompanied and the church has not

accompanied either, but what have we delved into?

I say, yes, of course, in couples, in

people, in the moment that everything that surrounds

the couple does not end up being as

beautiful as we would like it to be,

we have to delve into the couple, in

what?

In feelings, it is what is going to

be differentiated for example by weddings, because at

the end of the day we all get

married in the same places, what is different

or what makes a wedding different from another

is that, it is always the couple, what

we capture from her, those real moments are

the ones that are going to be totally

different and in those real moments were what

we were going to focus on or what

we planned on Friday, to say, okay, let's

focus on them, they are going to show

us who they are and who is their

wedding and how they are going to prepare

or organize them, so that's how it was.

The first mission was to always capture real

moments, for us the fundamental thing was to

capture feelings, that is something that Nika and

I know at all times and the truth

is that although there were not as many

personal moments as we would have liked, but

we were working, we were doing little things

and the truth is that we are happy

with some of the photos captured, especially the

photos that we capture, for example, of the

groom and at his house, because in fact

there were also things that, although I have

a lot of affection for the groom, at

that moment it was to kill him.

Why do I say this?

Because look what we warn you, hey Joan,

until Erika arrives, don't be dressed, don't dress

up, no, no, no, calm down, Erika arrived

and she was dressed, completely.

What happened?

That Erika continued working, of course, at first

you say, fuck man, look what we warn

you, but you say, you can't do anything,

you're going to get angry, it's the worst

thing you can do, not only for the

couple, but also for you, and Erika started

working and for me her gallery of what

is the getting ready of the groom, for

my taste, is much better than my own

gallery, because in my case it was not

easy either, in my case it was not

easy, it was not difficult either, but it

was not the typical house that I love,

but why do I say this?

Because there were too many elements, on the

floor there were sometimes some little things, and

well, and the make-up artist, I think

she was a little slow, I hope the

bride doesn't hear me, she was a little

slow and she didn't leave me as much

time as I would have liked to have,

I mean, everything was getting complicated and the

place where the bride ended up dressing was

a room not very big, in which she

dressed between the window and the bed that

was 0.70 cm or a maximum meter,

so it was like quite complicated for me

to do a job that for my taste

seemed exquisite to me, obviously I worked everything

I could at all times, but these were

some of the photos that I have been

showing you.

I have been talking about feelings all the

time and Erika, I think she did her

job, but for my taste yes, I also

did my job, be careful, but like her,

in the cocktail she told me, look Victor

I have these photos, I think they are

well captured boom boom boom, I mean, her

part of the boyfriend with his family she

had it very well, covered, however I, with

the bride, had it in half, why do

I say this?

because I knew that behind the bride was

hiding a beautiful story, or depending on how

you say it, sad maybe, or beautiful, in

which the bride lost her mother and with

which I imagined that there could be a

special bond with her father, I mean the

bride with her father, right?

and my job, among many others was to

try to capture those feelings between the father

or that connection, sorry, between the father and

his daughter the story is that I think

the bride was a little nervous and that

prevented the best that from the first moment

to exteriorize, but both her and him but

my job was to be there close, close,

there were moments that she lacked very little

to get excited, for example I remember perfectly

in what was the car, for example, on

the way to the church and such, but

they did not finish letting go, in the

cocktail there were also moments, but neither this

and they had already danced, for example the

boyfriends, and I told her Erika, girl, I

mean I still don't have a hug between

the father and the bride and Erika tells

me, well, let's stay a little longer and

I say, yes, let's see if with a

little alcohol people get a little more and

we have that luck that suddenly the father

dances with the bride and there is a

little more connection, father and daughter and as

it was, in fact, we stayed an hour

and a half more just waiting for something

to happen and finally it happened finally the

father and the daughter danced, there was a

hug there was a connection, there were those

sharp looks, that's what we were looking for

at all times, or what I thought that

my reportage was great.

After all, as I told you a few

minutes ago all weddings are the same it

is obvious that a very beautiful farm or

an incredible farm can help us, an amazing

church can help us but what matters is

the couple although we were lucky and in

the part in the second floor of the

church we could make a portrait after the

ceremony, a beautiful portrait that I like but

what I really like are the moments those

are what that couple is going to take

forever from us and it is what they

are going to make unique, because beautiful photos

everyone is going to have them, but unique

moments not everyone is going to have them

and that was one of the points that

I also wanted to share with all of

you and especially what I wanted to share

or in summary of all this was 1.

Expectations, 0 always friends, that is, do not

come up with things that maybe you have

to see them the day before to be

Respect I can tell you that the farm

was not to my liking that the bride's

house sometimes there were things on the floor

or it was complicated because there were things

everywhere that is, paintings, elements and such but

we have to respect them we are working,

it is our job like so many other

weddings, friends and that they get excited, that

the wedding that we would have wanted or

that we would have done so it is

their wedding and we are their photographers respect

finish with everything, feelings real moments, it is

what is going to make us unique who
