[Battle Through The Heaven]

[Episode 28]

Thanks for your permission.

Although I failed today,

my request last night is unchanged.

Are you tired?

What's this?

The intelligence system is exclusive to the Eight Clans.

Green stands for the Ling Clan.

Maybe the intelligence has reached the Gu Realm.

The Ling Clan has been attacked. The patriarch died in battle.

The life of the Clan Lady is in danger.

What's going on?

Black Submerged Army found Ling Xi when gathering info on the Ling Clan.

Patriarch Yao, there's something fishy about her wound.

I stopped the bleeding with Fighting Energy.

Have a closer look.

It looks like a scar,

but in fact, something in her blood is burning her Fighting Energy.

It's almost burned out.

That's why she's unconscious now.

It's a skill of the Hall of Souls.

If you had the power of the bloodline,

your strength and achievements llwould be higher than those of Gu Yao.

But you don't. You've been counting on yourself.

You're already powerful enough.

Master, I'm not bothered by the result.

I know where my own strength lies.

I won’t deny myself just because of a word or a fight.

Brat, you've really matured.

I'm just wondering whether the disaster in the Ling Clan

has something to do with the Hall of Souls.

Soul Destroyer came to Starfall Hall

and snatched the map of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

After all, I still can’t rest assured.

I wonder, are these two things related?

How about we take a look around Light Hall?

Master, before I came here,

I made a copy of the incomplete map.

I'd like to take this chance to give it out as our gesture

and show that we want to work with the Gu Clan to fight the Hall of Souls

and stop Soul Destroyer from getting the flame.

Don't be impulsive.

The patriarchs of the seven clans are all here.

Let's go and listen to what they say first.

Patriarch Gu, I'm Ling Xi, Clan Lady of the Ling Clan.

Black Submerged Army found you in the teleportation formation that links to the Ling Clan.

Where's my mother?

Child, your mother sacrificed herself...

to protect you.

When we were about to leave for the Gu Clan,

a sudden darkness shrouded us.

A Heavenly Flame came from the sky.

Its center was pitch dark,

while there was light all around it.

My mother said it was the Nihility Devouring Flame.

The one controlling the flame

was a man in black and covered by a dark mist.

He claimed to be Soul Destroyer.

He tried to rob our map of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

My mother and the elders fought desperately.

According to the Black Submerged Army, the elders of the Ling Clan have regained control.

Soul Destroyer is no longer causing trouble.

The Gu Clan only said Soul Destroyer was unsealed

and that Mu Gu of the Hall of Souls was killed.

But Soul Destroyer even has the Nihility Devouring Flame.

The Hall of Souls bounces back with ferocious momentum.

Compared to what Master Yao said,

Soul Destroyer grows more powerful rapidly

with better control of the Nihility Devouring Flame.

Worse still, he wants the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

Starfall Hall was attacked.

His target back then was also the incomplete map of the flame.

Now, he has gained the whole map

and knows the location of the flame.

I guess he will use the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame

to fully activate the Nihility Devouring Flame.

If he succeeds, he will become the next Soul Heaven Emperor.

After that, he will manage to reach the Fighting God level

just like Soul Heaven Emperor did.

By then, no one will be able to stop the Hall of Souls.

Our top priority is to join hands to stop Soul Destroyer

and obtain the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

Xiao Yan should be the best candidate

for obtaining the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

Everybody, have you ever fought Soul Destroyer head-on?

It's Xiao Yan who has the Fallen Heart Flame and Three Thousand Burning Flame, who wiped out Mu Gu,

and foiled the plot of the Soul Destroyer.

But I heard when conquering Three Thousand Burning Flame,

he was almost burned to death.

The one we're going to conquer

is a third-ranked Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

He has no power of the bloodline.

How could he succeed?

So, because of the power of the bloodline,

are the Central Plains and Xiao Yan excluded?

Master Yao, it's not that we seven clans are arrogant.

This is our of respect for the Xiao Clan, and our love for Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan acquired the Flame Mantra and Three Mysterious Transformations of Heavenly Flame.

He was born for Heavenly Flames.

If there's one person responsible for fighting the Hall of Souls,

Xiao Yan must be the predestinated one.

What you seven clans should do is support these youngsters to the largest extent

and work with the Central Plains in solidarity.

That's how we can win over the Hall of Souls.

Dad, Brother Xiao Yan is able to...

Master Yao, 50 years ago, it was you

who led the Starfall Hall to fight the Hall of Souls.

Xiao Xuan, the ancestor of the Xiao Clan

sacrificed all the power of the bloodline

to seal the Soul Heaven Emperor.

What you did and sacrificed

will always be remembered on Douqi Continent.

But it is the time

for us seven clans to take responsibility

and complete the mission.

No matter how you put it,

you seven clans still hold discrimination regarding the power of the bloodline.

I originally thought, after the fight with the Hall of Souls 50 years ago

and seeing the growth of the young generation like Xiao Yan,

you might change your minds and understand, to fight the Hall of Souls,

we must cooperate with each other.

It was the Gu Clan's Black Submerged Army

that sealed Soul Destroyer 50 years ago.

Master.

This is an incomplete map of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame I got from the Fighting Saint's remnants.

Soul Destroyer took away the original one.

I made a new copy from my memory.

I hope it can help the Gu Clan.

Xiao Yan, it...

Master Yao is right.

The Hall of Souls is our common enemy.

To fight the Hall of Souls, we must cooperate with each other.

Uncle Gu, be there the power of the bloodline or not,

I'll keep fighting all the way until the Hall of Souls is eradicated.

Let's not get excited.

We share the same goal.

We are all fighting against the Hall of Souls.

How about this?

Everyone, go back and rest first.

As for this matter, let's make a long-term plan.

Master, don't be angry.

They're not targeting me deliberately.

The power of the bloodline is supreme in their minds.

- I understand him. - You...

They insist on judging people's strength based on the power of the bloodline.

It's understandable. I won't blame them,

but I will prove to them with my strength that my Heavenly Flames and Fighting Energy

are not inferior to the power of the bloodline.

Being able to think so

proves that you have matured.

Good. Now that you're confident,

as your master, I will help you fight the Hall of Souls in our way.

The Ling Clan previously made a copy of the incomplete map of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

Collecting the Pure Demonic Lotus Fire is a top priority,

but there is one fundamental matter to fight against the Hall of Souls

that needs to be discussed with all clans.

Tuoshe Ancient Emperor Jade?

Yes.

Tuoshe Ancient Emperor Jade is the remnant of theTuoshe Ancient Emperor,

the last Fighting God on Douqi Continent.

Before his death,

he broke the jade into eight pieces protected by the Eight Ancient Clans.

It's said the eight jade pieces are the keys

to the strongest power left by the Fighting God.

Soul Heaven Emperor started the Hall of Souls.

His talent and evil skills in the Hall of Souls helped him to reach the Demi Fighting God level.

In order to become a Dou God, he attacked the Eight Clans

with the intention of seizing the ancient jade.

He took away the Hun Clan's jade piece

and kept it in the Hall of Souls for centuries.

If Soul Destroyer chooses the same path,

he will definitely come forour jade pieces someday.

To prevent the recurrence of such a tragedy,

I suggest that we should keep all the pieces in the safest place.

As for the safest one, except for the Gu Clan, there are no other places.

We'll send the pieces to lthe Gu Clan soon.

Thank you to all the clan leaders for your trust in our Gu Clan.

Besides the jade pieces, please send a powerful person as well

so that we can protect them together.

The only thing missing is the Xiao Clan's.

Dad, you've been reading it for so long.

Have a cup of tea.

Dad, I have something unclear and want to ask you to explain it.

As the Clan Lady, I often take a rest here.

It's sacred in the minds of the Gu people.

Every once in a while, some people will bring their children here,

hoping to see a person with a strong power of the bloodline among them.

I've seen many people these years

who were so overwhelmed by their children's zero power of the bloodline

that they killed themselves immediately.

So, Dad, does the power of the bloodline

really hold such importance?

But without the power of the bloodline,

Xiao Xuan couldn't have suppressed the Soul Heaven Emperor

or save the whole world.

The power of the bloodline is not a sign of social status,

but a guarantee of reliable strength.

If Xiao Yan really wants to conquer the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame,

but with no protection of the power of bloodline,

I'm really afraid he might suffer the backfire of the Heavenly Flame.

Once that happens, we will lose not only Xiao Yan,

but the chance to defeat the Hall of Souls.

I'm the patriarch of our clan.

Xun'er, can you understand my position?

Yes.

Protecting the ancient jade of the Xiao Family is the first task given to you by the Gu Clan.

It's time to finish it.

Now you should know

we're not against the Xiao Family or Xiao Yan.

It's because we're fighting the Hall of Souls for the whole Douqi Continent.

I understand.

Xun'er.

Xun'er.

This time, Xiao Yan asked me for your hand.

He's a good boy.

On ordinary days and in a peaceful world,

I would grant permission for your marriage.

But now, I can't nod in approval.

Now is the time for the Gu Clan to use all of its strength.

That's exactly why I can't comply with his request.

I can't let you leave with him, either.

How I wish you were not the Clan Lady.

In that case, you could live in freedom

and live the life you want to live.

Dad.

But...

you are the Clan Lady born with a divine bloodline.

You have to take on heavier responsibilities...

and sacrifice yourself against the Hall of Souls.

I got it.

Xun'er.

Brother Xiao Yan.

Brother Xiao Yan, please trust me.

At whatever time, I'm always on your side.

I also hope you won't blame my father

for disallowing you to conquer the flame

and fight against the Hall of Souls because of the power of the bloodline.

Xun'er, don't worry. I'm no longer as reckless as I used to be.

All patriarchs agreed yesterday that the Gu Clan should keep the jade

in case of the Hall of Souls' robbery.

I know the jade of the Xiao Clan was left to you by your father.

I want the ancient jade because I want you

to have no fears when you fight the Hall of Souls.

Don't worry. The jade of the Xiao Clan will be protected by me personally.

The jade was given to me by my father before he died.

He asked me to protect the jade,

but actually, what I need to protect

is the honor of the Xiao Family and Xiao Clan.

For me, it's just the last tie between me and my father.

I've thought it through.

Though I have no power of the bloodline,

and the jade is not mine, you won't give me up.

At the end of the day, it's not me protecting the jade.

It's you protecting me.

Brother Xiao Yan, how I wish

we could reunite after this departure.

Our next reunion should be near the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame.

Do you have to go there?

Xun'er, do you also believe that I can't go there because I have no power of the bloodline?

No. In my eyes, you're the strongest.

In the earlier fight with Soul Destroyer,

I could still feel his limitations.

But if he gains the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame,

the situation will take a dangerous turn.

Soul Destroyer has the ambition to become the second Soul Heaven Emperor.

50 years ago, it was Starfall Hall that fought alone.

In the worst case, we can do that again.

50 years ago, it was because Starfall Hall fought against the Hall of Souls alone,

to the Hall of Souls took advantage of it.

We must call on the Central Plains to join hands

and start an alliance.

An alliance?

Let's establish an alliance of all sects

and defend ourselves.

All sects?

Didn't you see their disdain and hostility when you were saving Yao Chen?

The Central Plains has been divided for so long.

Each sect has its own mind.

If you want them to unite, it will be even harder than reaching the sky.

They didn't know the strength of Soul Destroyer,

or how powerful we were.

After the fight with the Subsidiary Hall, they got to know my plan.

They will try their best.

Besides, the whole Central Plains has heard you defeated Soul Destroyer.

Pill Tower will join the alliance for sure.

By then, they have to fight the Hall of Souls alone or join our alliance.

It's not hard to make a choice.

I don't want to see them anymore.

If you want to do it, just take care of it yourself.

We must visit and invite them personally.

Personally?

Starfall Hall has to show some sincerity if we want to call for solidarity.

We can't simply sit here and keep waiting.

Yao Chen, don't tell me you like his idea.

The world is for the younger generation.

The things I couldn’t do fifty years ago,

let the young people do it this time.

- You two, please. - Starfall Hall invites us here.

What's the purpose?

I have no idea. Let's wait and see.

So, we are invited by the Starfall Hall to the Pill Tower.

Could it be that you two want us to come directly to your door?

I'm just afraid that it will be more difficult for you two.

If Pill Tower didn't invite us, we have no reason to stay here.

Masters, listen to me for one second.

Myriad Sword Hall and Shadow Domain Hall have been suppressed

due to the pressure of Wind Thunder Hall for many years.

Joining the alliance could be a chance to start anew.

Shadow Domain Hall and Myriad Sword Hall are the second members we invited.

If you refuse to join in,

we have to consider Wind Thunder Hall.

We knew Starfall Hall would start an alliance

and cooperate with Pill Tower.

But among we three Halls,

Wind Thunder Hall is dominant.

The Ling Clan was wiped away by Soul Destroyer's attack.

It means Starfall Hall has told the truth.

Soul Destroyer has been reborn and revived the Hall of Souls.

Though it's the Ling Clan that was struck,

the Central Plains is by no means safe.

The Hall of Souls might be waiting for a chance

to land a fatal blow on the Central Plains.

The Hall of Souls' return brings danger to every one of us.

Given the usual style of the Hall of Souls, once they become strong,

they will never allow the other sects to remain.

The newly-rising Starfall Hall

is indeed more powerful than we three Halls.

But...

Wind Thunder Hall and Starfall Hall

have long been in severe conflict.

If... If we agree to join the alliance,

we will stand against Wind Thunder Hall.

Old man Yao is a Fighting Saint now

and has repelled Soul Destroyer. He's ranked #1 in the Central Plains in terms of strength.

Old man Yao contributed the most 50 years ago.

The current fight against the Hall of Souls

should be led by Starfall Hall as well.

The alliance, though with some risks,

has more merits than demerits for both of us.

In the Central Plains, there are four Halls and one Tower,

not three Halls and one Tower.

Starfall Hall has been neglected by us for a surprisingly long time.

Starfall Hall has regained power

and talks with us sincerely despite the past.

If we can swim the storms together,

the Central Plains will rise from declination.

So, Myriad Sword Hall and Shadow Domain Hall have reached a consensus. Right?

Good.

Ten days later, we'll announce its creation in Starfall Hall.

On that day, we'll be expecting you there.

Shadow Domain Sage and Sword Sage, those two stupid old men!

They used to be at my service,

but now they dare to follow Starfall Hall!

Those two rotten cabbages are easily swayed!

Master, it's time to take your medicine.

You two are smart.

In the past, Feng...

That girl would prepare these for me.

Master, in fact, these two medicines were prepared by Senior Sister.

You can't even tell a whole story. She made the medicines by herself.

She knows that the weather has changed a lot these days.

So, she went to the small kitchen to cook it for Master.

It's not that I can't tell the whole story.

Senior Sister specially told us not to mention her name to Master.

She's afraid Master might become unhappy.

All right, all right.

Stop your acting.

Let her in.

Okay.

- Senior Sister. - Senior Sister.

- Hurry up. - Come.

Let's go.

Master.

Qing'er, I have a word for you.

Bear it in mind Only when you become powerful

can you not be despised by others

or be given up by others easily.

Starfall Hall performs a good play by alienating we three Halls.

Those two stupid men are eager to become its weapons!

Our Hall thrives under your leadership

and we are dominant in the Central Plains.

No one knows this kind of feat, and no one dares to disapprove of it.

The alliance created by Starfall Hall should have Wind Thunder Hall as a member!

I refuse even if they invite me to join.

Starfall Hall does this simply to regain its old status

as the head of the Central Plains.

None of our disciples are allowed to join it.

Whoever dares to will be expelled from our sect.

Qing'er, a special warning for you.

Master, you can't be reasoned with.

You came back not long ago, and yet you want to leave.

It must be for that kid, Mu Qingluan.

You're growing up.

Master, it's not for Mu Qingluan,

but for Wind Thunder Hall.

This alliance was initiated by the Master Yao and Xiao Yan.

Brother Mu said that Master Yao respects you a lot.

Master Yao said, after his departure,

you led Wind Thunder Hall to protect the Central Plains for 50 years.

Without Wind Thunder Hall, the alliance would be incomplete.

Is that really what the Master Yao said?

Really!

There should have been cooperation long ago.

They always say Wind Thunder Hall is arrogant and pompous.

They don't have any idea about my kind purpose.

I've been trying

to get the Central Plains to work in solidarity.

But it's just not that easy.

Master, why don't you take this opportunity

to have a talk with Master Yao?

Do you mean...

If you take the initiative to visit them,

you will show the generosity of our Hall.

Let me think.

Okay, think about it again.

Golden coins have arrived downstairs.

There was an anonymous bidder at the auction.

He left ten boxes of golden coins.

Mighty Huang Pill.

Earth Core Flame Seed.

Eight Directions Open-fire Cauldron.

Is there something wrong?

Auction House has always allowed customers to bid anonymously.

Some guests want the treasure but hate to reveal their names or faces.

It's just common.

But these goods are far less than the price of ten boxes of gold coins.

There's something here. For sure.

No. It... What do you mean by this?

Miss wants to know what you mean

by leaving the coins in Auction House.

Well. How do you know these are mine?

The Fighting Energy on these coins.

Across the Central Plains, is there anyone else in the Central Plains

exposed to the aura of unthawed ice except for Master of Ice River Valley?

The coins are here. Please excuse me now.

Wait a second.

Is your Auction House selling stuff or not?

I bought some goods. How can you reject my transaction?

No way.

You pay us much more than the true value. It's against the market price.

That's why we have canceled the transaction and returned your coins.

No, no. Don't leave.

Hold on. Hold on.

Hey, hold on. Hold on. What's the hurry?

Let me finish, okay?

I... I know well about your Auction House.

I know all your rules.

The auctioned goods are for the highest bidder.

I did follow your rules.

You can't cancel it without reason, can you?

The last principle of Auction House

is that the final decision rests with us.

Valley Master, your premium puts the Auction House at risk.

So, we can’t make this money.

To tell you the truth, I've lived to this age,

but it's the first time I've heard

that money can't be accepted.

Well. If you think the money is in excess, you can donate it.

What do you think?

Miss Ya Fei is extremely generous.

She must have many friends, right?

For instance, if you get to know

there are some new alliances or some... some...

some new organizations, or some new institutions,

you can just donate the money.

Auction House has no delivery services.

If you want to make some donations,

why don't you do it yourself?

Fine, fine.

You're forcing me to tell the truth.

I just want to contribute a bit

to the fight against the Hall of Souls.

But certainly, they don't have to know where the coins come from.

Anyway, I don't care.

You must accept these coins whether you like it or not.

You have no choice.

Please excuse me.

You... You... You...

Xiao Yan, don't walk back and forth there.

You're blurring my eyesight.

It's the establishment day today.

Master, do you think they will come or not?

Just focus on our end.

You'll fight the Hall of Souls if they come.

Will you not fight it if they don't come?

So it doesn't make any difference whether they come or not.

Another disturbed one.

I'm sorry.

Qingluan, don't worry. Master Fei will come.

I... I'm not worried.

Sword Sage and Shadow Domain Sage are here,

but they ran into Master Fei.

- I'll go check it out. - Masters, so will I.

- Greet them well. - Okay.

Invite them in.
