colleague, I coincided with him very recently in

Portugal, a few months ago, in a workshop

that I taught for DreamWorks Pro, so we

are going to take a look at them

and what Nuno says is that this selection

is dedicated or he created it on the

day of the photography and what is a

selection of 10 images in which his girlfriends

appear all crazy, right?

Or girlfriends with a lot of energy or

what he wants to show, right?

So it is a selection, as I tell

you, of the state of mind, of strength,

of emotion, of intensity, of how his girlfriends

have lived their wedding, okay?

The way I'm going to criticize his selection

or his gallery is purely aesthetic, okay?

I'm not going to go into any other

detail.

To begin with, I think this photo is

the best of all for me, it is

my favorite because, as you well know, the

light is perfect for me, the background is

so clean, it works perfectly, come on, I

mean, I like everything, right?

And in fact I think it is a

success that this image is the first, right?

Of course, if we take a look at

the rest of the images, this one works

perfectly, this one no longer works, in my

opinion, it is not that the photo does

not work, I say in this gallery, why?

Because the two previous images have a completely

different light, and the two previous ones, I

mean, and the first two with this one

work perfectly, but nevertheless, for my taste, it

does not work because, as I say, although

it is a good moment, but the light

is not so attractive, right?

And it breaks a lot, okay?

Like this one, the light does not work,

maybe I would have taken a step further,

maybe.

This is the photo that disconcerts me the

most, I have not just seen the meaning,

because I follow the work of Nuno, Nuno

has great photos and this photo, I don't

know how to understand it, right?

It's like, the rest of the photos have

a special energy point and this one is

lacking energy, a different perspective, this light is

not one of my favorites, it does not

mean that it is not good, but it

does not end up fitting me because it

has better images, with better light, in this

gallery, okay?

This photo, I already know, I already know,

I just miss this point that there was

a little bird flying, so that it was

perfectly balanced, right?

And a good photo to finish, I see

it very well.

black and white, because they could work the

same, but we could divide, right?

Even in black and white and color, that

but there are a couple of images for

my liking, this one, and especially this one,

that do not end up working because of

the light, right?

Because of the light they have, and especially,

maybe I would not put this image after

this one, why?

Because it is the same, I already know,

one is yellow and one is red, we

can still see her face and the other

not, but this photo is the same, the

same action, or the same pattern, right?

I think I'm explaining myself a little better

the best for the last ones, or I

would save it for the end, to go

a little bit interspersing that black and white,

and that color, and those color photos that

you have so powerful, okay?

But of course, it is complicated to criticize

a gallery in which almost everything works, right?

absolutely right, and in fact it is consistent

already a little mania, it is noticeable, or

I think there is a photographer, a colleague

For couples it may be beautiful, but for

First of all, what I should tell you

is that this is my favorite photo, why?

Because it breaks with everything previous, it is

the shot for my taste, with more, with

more look, with more intention of the whole

series, and it breaks with everything, aesthetically, compositively,

and with the risks taken.

risks, and I would like to extrapolate it,

Because this photograph works, perfect, it is also

it could be said that it is my

second favorite, but the rest, although they are

good, they are too common, I mean, in

addition to the fact that the light does

not end up catching me, it is a

very monotonous light, both outdoors and indoors, there

is no ...

there is no photo, I mean, there are,

I have already told you, this one and

this one, for my taste, especially this one,

but the rest of the images, which are

good, but they do not come out of

what is normally seen as wedding photography, you

understand?

There is no photo, yes, this one, that

surprises me more, you understand?

I mean, I would like to see more,

I would like to see more photos like

this, not an entire gallery of images like

this, but yes, some more photos, or a

photo with more intention, I mean, I would

like to see more photos like these, in

which the bride is captured from behind, here

the veil is floating, I really think, the

faces of both the girl on the right

and the one on the left work perfectly,

that glass that gives it that touch of

party, that touch of celebration, I would like

you to explore more photos like this, more

moments, or more off moments, I mean, and

without ceasing to capture these photos, obviously, you

have to do it, without ceasing to capture

them, but something more than these photographs so

many times seen.

I try not to be very hard on

Mario, okay?

But I think that Mario is a photographer

with a lot of baggage, with a lot

of education, with a lot of visual education,

and I would like it to be allowed,

because he deserves it, and he must do

it, the luxury of allowing himself the luxury,

In photographs, as always, there are some of

them, for example, this one, they are well

resolved, this one too, a different perspective, there

the photographer was attentive, and this one too.

Why?

Because it has been captured from a different

perspective, from a completely unusual perspective, it is

not the typical wedding photo, the confetti is

thrown, the rice is thrown, the photographer is

in front of the grooms, they capture the

same photo so many times, no, we are

talking about another story, that is, what I

would have put as the first one has

been saved for the last one, okay?

with the high lights, you go to the

limit, here it works, okay?

is touching the limit, and in digital that

is wonderful for the fact that it has

been captured from a perspective in which the

photographer is behind the couple or the boyfriends

and, consequently, most of the colleagues do it

have passed when publishing photos from the back,

I mean, this is perfect, but here we

have another one, here we have another one,

publish, I do not say take, I say

publish photos like this, of not so little

connection, or little, yes, because the photographer, no,

no, no, I don't know how to explain

it, maybe it's too impersonal, this is because

you, Pepe, you know that they are Pepita

and Pepito, but I, for me, could be

nothing special, I mean, it could be anyone,

careful when we have a publication of ten

photos that three or four are from behind,

best that we would like it to be,

with what I think, of course, in this

opinion, okay?

in 4K format does not end up working

for me, okay?

Why?

Because the photos are like this, they are,

I mean, in addition to the fact that

the previous photo was a good photo, it

is not well appreciated because of the fact

that it is, I mean, cut, therefore you

are constantly mutilating, in my case, what I

would do is simply download it, that is,

download it for, when I say download it,

I mean, I would put a format for

two thirds, for example, so that photos like

this would have their cavity, they would have

their, I mean, they would have all the

elements that you have been worried about capturing,

because of course, this is not a square

format, nor is it a format, as I

tell you, I think four fifths, and that

Also seeing a black background, sorry, does not

end up pleasing me at all.

Yes, I like that there is music, that

the photos have their time so that they

can be observed, the selection, well, I would

have published some less, less than last, but

hey, it can work.

I would have also controlled the light a

little more, in many of the cases it

is artificial, too much, I would have liked

something more natural like these moments, but of

course, as I tell you, this photo worked,

but the rest are already starting to go

a little, they make water, because of course,

making a format like this is complicated, that

everything is maintained or everything is perfect, okay?

So it will be my opinion on this,

but possibly for future customers, this publication format

may be liked, it may.

Ok friends, let's go for the last gallery,

that of our colleague JJ Palacios, and first

of all we are going to take a

look, we are going to take a look

at the gallery that he has sent us

and later on, well, I give my opinion,

As you can see, it seems good, it

is a pre-wedding session, so fucking mother,

let's take a look at it until the

end of everything, perfect.

Of course, sometimes it is difficult to criticize

the work or highlight things that a priori

are correct, right?

In this case, in the case of the

JJ Palacios gallery, I can only highlight some

technical aspect, as I tell you, because of

course, photographs like this work perfectly, perhaps the

chair on the left is not enough for

the composition to be better, but of course,

it is complicated to remove it, well, complicated,

well, more or less, and the only but,

the only but that I can draw is

this one, in which, as we can see

here, JJ Palacios perfectly controls the light, I

love how he has managed to direct, for

example, the couple depending on the light, but

what I wanted to get to is not

this, maybe, right?

And it is sometimes difficult to criticize things

that are complicated, right?

In this case, the light, as you are

seeing, works perfectly on her body, on part

of his body, but not on the face,

right?

In my case, perhaps I would have worked

a little more on the boyfriend so that

he would have looked the other way, right?

I mean, to the right, so that the

light would have worked better for him, right?

But, as I tell you, it is difficult

to criticize the uncritical, things that I love

or things that I see that JJ Palacios

has known how to work very well is,

for example, this one, right?

As we are seeing, despite the fact that

the light is not my favorite, but the

pose is not perfect, what I mean, sorry,

that the pose is perfect, okay?

I mean, how he has played with his

hands, both here and here, notice that the

composition is perfect because the head does not

even touch the horizon line and even the

girl's legs work perfectly there.

Of course, the issue that I tell you

all the time, right?

Negative points, in my opinion, is that I

would not have worked more on this totally

burned part, right?

But the aesthetics of this pre-wedding, in

quotes, it seems that, well, nothing happens for

it, right?

But simply, right?

Points, to call it negative, is that way

of directing the light, right?

That the girl works well there, but the

boy does not, okay?

So very well, JJ Palacios, thank you very

is a very beautiful pre-wedding and only

Perhaps this photograph in black and white does

not end up working due to the mere

fact that all photographs are in color, perhaps

this is the one that has less strength
