In today's video, in the first of the

year, I don't want to give lessons or

anything like that, I just want to share

with you a little something that crossed my

mind and that I shared with Erika and

I started looking at the profile of many

Instagram colleagues to see what they were doing,

to see what they stopped doing and in

the end I did not solve the problem

that I had.

What was the problem?

Very simple, put a frame or not put

a frame in my Instagram photos.

So simple and so complicated at the same

time as that, right?

Why do I say that?

Because throughout all this time, if I say

all this time, I mean throughout the last

few months or even a couple of years

ago, I have been in contact with a

multitude of colleagues, some of them very good

in everything related to Instagram and many of

them came to me to say why I

was still keeping the frame in my Instagram

photos.

The story is that I told them why

not and their answer was because without a

frame you get more engaged with future clients

or future partners.

I always told them that for me, ok,

they may be right, I was not doing

badly with the frame either.

In fact, I have always done quite well

in what is engaged or in what is

followers or likes or all those things as

we want to understand them.

Of course, my friends or people who are

a bit in the sector of Instagram recognized

that I was not doing badly, but I

would do better if I did not include

a frame.

The story is that if I have not

placed the frame, if I have not done

it until now, it is because I have

always thought that I am a photographer with

a work.

I mean, I would like my photos not

to be simple photos, I mean, photos only

created for Instagram or only created to have

a mere commercial fruit with a future partner.

I mean, it is obvious that my photos

are created to get an engage and get

my clients or future clients to keep going.

But I, that of seeing in my interface

or as we want to call it feed,

all square photos, it does not end up

working for me.

But why mainly?

Because the weight of my images sometimes falls

in the center, but many more on the

sides, at the ends.

Therefore, if I do not put a frame,

if I do not use a frame, then

what happens?

That there are photos that are totally dead,

I mean, dead that have no content, that

have no meaning.

And all this came because a couple of

weeks ago I was about to publish this

publication.

This was the first photo and of course,

the weight of the image is completely on

the left, which is where the guys are.

And then I thought, damn, and then what

do I do, right?

Of course, and then I started looking at

the great photographers that I follow.

And I started first thinking, let's see, let's

start with Mario Testino, let's see what Mario

Testino does.

And Mario Testino surprised me, because he has

a bit of a collage, well, not a

collage, but he has a bit of everything,

right?

It has frames, it has some photos without

frames, it has videos, it has stories, and

well, it's not that I got rid of

my doubts, right?

So it occurred to me to think, well,

let's go for James Natchewy.

And James Natchewy broke me in half, I

saw that, yes, he uses frames, but they

are black.

How many times have I told you here,

on Instagram is going to help you position

yourself, and there is a study in which

having a frame in your photos works better.

I'm not going to change, but I assure

you that the other day, if it wasn't

for this photo in which the weight was

on the left, I assure you that I

would have started to change, and make the

format, I mean, even if in the feed

the feed, it's also true.

you publish it doesn't look square.

same doubts.
