[Battle Through The Heaven]

[Episode 4]

- Elder Hao. - Excuse me, excuse me. Excuse me.

- This is yours. - Thank you.

Thank you, Elder Hao.

Excuse me, excuse me. Excuse me.

I, Xiao Yan, apply for Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit.

You want Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit?

Please approve, Elder Hao.

Three thousand fire energy points.

- What... - Three thousand?

Are you kidding?

It's okay, I'll go back and get it.

We don't have any fire energy points.

Then stop causing trouble here. Step aside.

I don't understand.

Why do we have to pay extra fire energy points

when we've already paid our tuition? Am I right?

- Yeah, why? - That makes sense.

Where do these fire energy points flow to?

Elder Hao, please tell us.

So you are not here for the herbs, you are here to settle accounts.

Okay, let's settle accounts then.

The annual fee for each student is 5,000 fire energy points.

Deducting living expenses and maintenance costs leaves a balance

of 2,000 fire energy points.

Adding the consumption of materials for cultivation,

which is 1,500 fire energy points at least,

and plus heating in winter, cooling in summer,

mountain forest maintenance,

and the monthly payment for caretakers,

it adds up to 2,000 fire energy points owed by you to the academy.

- Elder Hao, I think... - Let me finish.

And you, Xiao Yan, are different from others.

During my class, you destroyed my jade pill furnace.

I'll give you a discount, 500 fire energy points.

Also, for the items you destroyed during the Grand Competition,

let me calculate.

Hey, how can you steal Elder Hao's medicinal ingredients?

Who's that?

It's easy if you want to enter the Medicine Forest.

I'll use the name of the Gu Clan to negotiate with the elders.

And then I can take you there.

We cannot let the elders know about this.

Why?

Why? Because this matter is...

You are doing this for Xiao Yan?

Anyway, can you help me get Elder Hu Qian's token?

You want to sneak into the Medicine Forest? Got you!

Will you surrender obediently or come with me to find the elders and explain?

Miss, I don't think you are my opponent.

Of course, I'm not your opponent.

I'm your accomplice.

Accomplice?

You see, now that I know your secret,

and I'm going to help you steal that token.

So, aren't we accomplices?

Miss, are you willing to help me?

Think about it. On a dark night,

you and I fly over rooftops, and fight side by side.

Doesn't it sound exciting?

- Since it's the case, then... - Shh...

Keep it down.

Since we can use the main gate, why this disguise?

If we want to be thieves, we should look like them,

and besides, don't you like the feeling of us fighting in a unified uniform?

Elder Hu Qian is sleeping pretty soundly.

He usually wakes up every hour.

How do you know?

He's my grandfather. I know him well.

Now, let's get to work.

You go search, and I'll keep watch here. Go.

Which one is it?

I haven't seen it.

Do you know what the token looks like?

I have never seen it.

Such an important item wouldn't be left out in the open.

It should be carried on the person.

That makes sense.

I got nothing.

Have you found it?

Hu Jia.

There's a token.

Elder Hu.

Elder Hu?

Elder Hu, have you gone to bed?

Tonight, we should guard the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower together.

Elder Hu?

That was close. He had to go there at that critical moment.

Luckily, we got out in time.

Miss Hu Jia, please give me the token.

I forgot to bring it out.

What?

I've never seen you like this.

Miss Hu Jia, please don't joke about this.

I did that on purpose.

I don't think even Xun'er has ever seen you like that.

If I give you the token,

I'll become useless to you. Right?

You helped me a lot today, and I'm very grateful.

I don't need your gratitude.

Just remember, you owe me a favor.

Miss Hu Jia,

aren't you going to ask me what I want to do with it?

That's your business. I've done what I needed to do.

It's getting late. Be careful.

I will be careful.

Thank you for today.

Give me the token, and you can go back now.

I'm also going in.

More people means a bigger target.

You better leave now.

Just do what you need to do.

This token can only be used for an hour.

You must come out in an hour. Understand?

Of course, I understand.

It was stolen by you, so you are the boss.

- What do you mean by "stolen"? - Stop talking.

It will close in an hour. Hurry and go in.

Your Highness.

A decisive man like him is quite charming.

Are you surprised?

What...

How can you act on your own?

You brat, you are in no place to command me.

What if your identity is exposed?

Lower your voice.

It's just past midnight, maybe many people are still awake.

Should I call them over to see who is doing something sneaky here?

What benefit do you get from doing this?

None.

I just want you to learn a lesson because you didn't

take my matter seriously.

I never said I wouldn't refine the Thawing Spirit Pill for you.

But I need to save my brother first.

There are many medicinal materials here.

Some can save your brother, and some can refine the Thawing Spirit Pill.

Now go, find them for me.

Is this how you ask for help?

Cut the nonsense.

This is the academy's elixir room.

There's a strange Fighting Energy aura.

That way...

The Medicine Forest!

Here, take this. Sprinkle it along the way.

Am I your servant?

What's the point of sprinkling this?

This pill will make the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit react.

Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit?

There's really something wrong.

Halt!

What a strange Fighting Energy.

Who are you?

Be careful.

- Quickly, go after them! - Watch out for ambushes.

Xiao Yan is still inside!

What beautiful eyes.

You're not human either?

Of course, I'm not human.

I'm the Queen of the Serpent Kingdom.

Sister Queen.

- Sister, Sister, Sister! - Stop.

Who's your sister?

She's a dragon.

She probably took the morphing herb

and can change her form at will.

Little friend, are you staying here alone?

Old man Hao is letting me stay here.

He said I could eat whatever I wanted.

So you're the monster in the Medicine Forest that everyone talked about.

I'm not a monster.

I'm the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

The big three Magic Beast families.

No!

Let me.

Little friend, this doesn't taste good. Put it down.

No way. How can I grow up if I don't eat?

I'll give you something in exchange.

Old man Hao doesn't allow me to eat anything from strangers.

I'm not a bad person.

Ask her.

I doubt it.

Little girl, you are really strong.

You've got to do it harder. It's fun.

I lost.

You don't want to play anymore?

Since I've lost, you can have the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit.

I was going to trade you for the world's most delicious elixir.

I don't think we'll get the chance. Maybe next time.

Give it to me.

Shame on you!

Give me the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit first.

Give me the elixir first.

All for you.

So many.

What about the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit?

It tastes good.

Easy.

You'll have problems if you eat that much.

I don't care.

My father told me I had to grow up fast to see him.

So I have to eat more and grow up faster.

Who's your father?

My father is just my father.

But my father doesn't like you humans as much as I do.

You are always screaming when you see us.

It's annoying.

But you're not like them.

What's your name?

Just call me Xiao Yan.

Xiao Yan?

I've memorized it.

My name is Zi Yan.

I'll come back for you when I'm hungry.

Zi Yan?

I think I've heard that name somewhere before.

The first place in the Strong Ranking Grand Competition.

Your Highness, wait for me.

Zi Yan is in first place in the Strong Ranking Grand Competition.

The first place is a dragon, not a human,

and even an Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

Xun'er.

Why are you together?

Why are you together?

Was there anyone suspicious in the Medicine Forest?

Does it have anything to do with you?

This is not the time for such nonsense.

There's something wrong with the Medicine Forest. You'd better leave and never come back.

- I... - Gu Yao is right.

The boundary's been breached. The elders will know soon.

Xun'er, why are you always defending him?

Come on.

Let's split up.

Xiao Yan, you should go back to your dormitory.

What a perfect match.

Right?

It's because you messed up.

You ungrateful person.

You don't realize I'm trying to help you.

You call that helping me?

Let me ask you. Was that girl angry when she left?

Of course, she was.

It's a good thing she's angry.

If she isn't, you're done.

There's not that much going on between Xun'er and me.

You're pretty confident.

Whatever.

Leave, don't look back.

This kid looks like Xiao Yan.

He must be Xiao Yan.

He asked me for the Ice and Fire Dragon Beard Fruit during the day

and came to the Medicine Forest at night.

There's something wrong with him.

Yes.

I...

It dropped.

We'll have to take a closer look later.

Old man Yao, something is wrong with you today.

Things are getting more and more complicated.

If I'm right, Jianan Academy is being targeted.

What do you mean?

I didn't realize the filth was back.

Filth? What filth?

It's a bunch of ghosts in human skin.

On Douqi Continent,

only they would use the cruelest of means to make themselves stronger.

They suck the Fighting Energy of the living for their own cultivation.

They kill and suck blood and do everything evil.

Who are you talking about?

The Hall of Souls.

Gu Yao, go back first. I am already here.

Are you afraid Xiao Yan will see the injury on your hand?

I brought medicine from the Gu Clan.

At least it will help you get better faster.

Tell me if it hurts.

Did you want to go into the Medicine Forest before

to find out about the weirdness tonight?

Yes.

What's your mission here at Jianan Academy?

To bring you back.

What else?

So you stay at Jianan Academy because of some mission of the Gu Clan?

The Xiao Family has an ancestral ancient jade related to the Gu Clan.

My father told me to use the power of my bloodline

to guard the ancient jade of the Xiao Family from being coveted by outsiders.

This is the task of the Gu Clan for me.

This is the Gu Jade Order.

When I first got to the Xiao Family, my father told me to perceive the ancient jade with it.

Now this ancient jade is most likely in Xiao Yan's possession.

So I will not leave him.

An ancient jade related to the Gu Clan...

I've said all I have to say.

What about you?

Do you know about the Hall of Souls?

The Hall of Souls?

I guess those two black-robed men are related to the Hall of Souls.

The Hall of Souls...

The Hall of Souls...

I heard about it in the clan when I was young.

But no way. Wasn't the Hall of Souls wiped out a long time ago?

Right. They've been out of sight for years.

But the Black Submerged Army has been investigating their movements.

We've received intelligence that they've appeared in the Jiama Empire.

So they've infiltrated Jianan Academy?

Yes.

The tower opening ceremony is in the next few days.

The Hall of Souls is targeting the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower?

The Heavenly Flames, Fallen Heart Flame, of Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower.

To get the Heavenly Flames?

If they took action at this moment,

Jianan Academy would be in for a great calamity.

Firmament Fruit, Syrup of Longevity, Evergreen Vine.

It's now time for the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit.

The control of the fire is the key to refining the elixir.

A little too much fire will turn the whole pot into ashes, and all the work will be wasted.

A little less fire will spoil the herbs and you won't get anything.

To control the fire,

you need strong spiritual perception.

Refine.

You're running low on Fighting Energy.

The Firmament Longevity Pill is a grade 6 elixir.

It's too much for you to make it alone.

If you continue to refine it, it will be too much of a drain on you.

As long as I can save my brother,

no matter what the cost is, I will refine this elixir.

The yin and yang of the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit are mutually exclusive.

The Green Lotus Core Flame is neutral and peaceful.

Your Fighting Energy is the most yang fire. It lacks a cold fire.

That's why you can't digest the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit.

Cold fire?

The only cold fire I know of is the Bone Spirit Cold Flame.

You don't have to do anything.

Just lend me the Bone Spirit Cold Flame.

Bone Spirit Cold Flame doesn't belong to you.

It's not always obedient when you're at the controls.

If you can't hold out, your meridians will be in danger of being melted by Bone Spirit Cold Flame.

I can make it.

Bone Spirit Cold Flame is extreme yin and yang.

You have to endure the endless roasting of fire in the Land of Eternal Day,

which is interchanged with the drilling pain of immutable metaphysical ice in the Land of Extreme Cold.

I don't know when it will end.

Refining elixir is refining the heavens and the earth, the mountains and the sea.

Grade 1 elixir for external injuries.

Grade 2 elixir for internal injuries.

Grade 3 elixir for transformation.

Grade 4 elixir for reveling ability.

Grade 5 elixir for a new level.

Grade 6 elixir for Fighting Emperor.

Grade 7 elixir for Fighting Venerate.

Grade 8 elixir for heavenly calamity.

Grade 9 elixir for watershed.

The Grade Emperor takes human form.

An elixir is not only used

to raise the level of Fighting Practitioners,

but also a nameless object that saves people from danger.

The key to making an elixir...

is sincerity.

No!

Old man Yao, the Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit is gone.

You made it?

You did it!

That's it!

Wake up.

- Brother. - Big brother.

He woke up.

Xun'er.

Brat.

I thought I'd never see you again.

Brother, what happened?

After the three-year appointment,

you won over Nalan Yanran fair and square.

But Yun Shan became enraged...

and hunted down the Xiao Family.

In the end, in order to cover the retreat of our second brother with the clan,

Father was captured by them.

- Father was captured? - I am sorry.

It's all my fault. I...

Misty Cloud Sect is trying to wipe out the Xiao Family.

Brother.

Water.

This is the ancient jade of the Xiao Family.

[Xiao Zhan, Xiao Yan's father] It is linked to the bloodline of all our patriarchs.

The flickering light proves that I am safe.

If I'm gone,

this jade will make you the patriarch of the Xiao Family.

This is the ancient jade from Father.

The life of the current patriarch can be sensed on the ancient jade.

The flickering of the light point indicates that Father is still alive.

Brother Xiao Yan,

this jade is not an ordinary one.

This is Tuoshe Ancient Emperor Jade.

Tuoshe Ancient Emperor Jade?

When Father gave me the jade,

he said it was a legacy of the Xiao Family and only the patriarchs could have it.

Since it is a legacy of the Xiao Family's patriarchs,

it might have a more important meaning and function.

Brother Xiao Yan, guard it well.

Don't show it to anyone.

Father,

I will definitely get you out.
