[Battle Through The Heaven]

[Episode 3]

Bai Shan. Bai Shan!

Bai Shan.

What's this?

This is the Bai Clan Fighting Technique that my brother, Bai Cheng, left for me.

It's called "Great Rift Rock," and it counters Xiao Yan's fire attribute Fighting Techniques.

I originally planned to use it to fight against Xiao Yan in the Grand Competition,

but I won't have the chance.

Wu Hao, your Fighting Techniques can't completely counter Xiao Yan,

but with this, it can definitely give you an advantage.

What do you mean?

You are targeting Xiao Yan?

Bai Shan, you just can't enter the tower this year,

but if you focus on training and continue to work hard,

Elder Hao will certainly strive for another chance

for you to enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower.

You don't have to be so discouraged.

Wu Hao.

What's going on?

Where's your Fighting Energy?

It's disabled.

Xiao Yan did it.

Elder Hao said...

I could never recover it.

Only you, I, and Elder Hao know about it.

I hate Xiao Yan,

but I can't defeat him anymore.

I can't participate in the Grand Competition.

I can't enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower.

My ten-year dream is shattered,

and my future is ruined.

I don't have any other friends.

Only you can carry on my wish.

If you take this Fighting Technique,

I'll know that someone can defeat Xiao Yan for me honorably.

If you don't take it,

I can only take it and leave the academy with regret.

What are you talking about?

Will you take it...

or not?

I'll keep it for you for now. [Great Rift Rock]

Xiao Yan!

Xiao Yan! Xiao Yan!

I've been looking for you.

Why are you at the door of Xun'er's room?

Your big brother is here.

My big brother is here?

He must be here to watch me in the competition.

No, your big brother was carried in.

When he entered the academy, he was covered in blood and barely alive.

Misty Cloud Sect!

Do you want to exterminate our Xiao Family?

Xiao Yan!

I want to return to the Jiama Empire.

I want to bury everyone in the Misty Cloud Sect.

What's the use of being so impulsive?

You don't even know what happened.

Even if you go back without any regard,

with your current abilities, what can you do?

Your big brother is hardly alive and needs immediate treatment.

The most important thing now is to save your big brother's life before finding out the reasons.

Moreover, you still need to win the Grand Competition and enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower.

How can we save his life?

His life is definitely savable, as long as you stay calm and listen to me.

Okay, I'll listen to you.

In my current situation, I can't personally get out of the Storage Ring to treat him,

but I can give you pills to temporarily stabilize his condition.

We can find a way to cure him after you finish the Grand Competition.

Your older brother will survive.

I promise you.

Old man Yao, thanks for your pill.

I can only temporarily stabilize his vital signs,

but I can't tell you how serious his injuries are.

Otherwise, you won't be able to focus on the competition.

Rather than saying I stabilized his body,

it's more accurate to say that I temporarily stabilized your emotions.

Forget about that.

It's too early for you to read that.

Read this one. This one is suitable for you.

- Captain. - What is it?

Take this one. This is good.

Why are you being so mysterious?

Xiao Yan's big brother was carried into the academy, and it seems like he's quite injured.

You're not even as good as you were at the beginning.

Tomorrow is the Strong Ranking Grand Competition.

How can you compete like this?

This "Lion and Tiger Shattering Gold" is not working!

Steady your mind if you want to become stronger.

That's easy for you to say.

Every time I close my eyes, I see my big brother unconscious.

I don't know how my father and other clan members are doing now.

How can I calm down?

If you can't control your emotions now, what will you do when you face bigger challenges,

greater pressure, and more dire situations in the future?

I don't know. I don't know!

Xun'er.

I've seen your big brother.

It's because I defeated Nalan Yanran for the three-year agreement.

Misty Cloud Sect is truly shameless.

Misty Cloud Sect did such a shameless thing.

I know you're anxious, but for the sake of revenge, you have to endure.

But it shouldn't make the entire clan pay the price for me.

My feelings are the same as yours,

but no matter what lies ahead, I will always be by your side.

I know,

the Gu Clan has sent people to take you back.

Who said that?

They just came to check on me.

Gu Yao stayed because he had another task at hand.

It has nothing to do with me.

Really?

I've finally seen you,

and so much has happened to the Xiao Family,

how can I leave now?

I'm sorry, Xun'er.

Queen She Cailin you saw that day was someone I met during my travels.

I obtained my Green Lotus Core Flame from her.

She regressed into the Heaven Swallowing Python after she failed to collect the heavenly flame.

I kept her with me and fed her since then.

At Misty Cloud Sect, she saved me once from Yun Shan's hands,

so I owe her a medicinal pill.

We just have a contractual relationship.

Don't be angry.

You don't need to explain to me.

But last time...

Xiao Yan,

sometimes, you are truly insensitive.

In fact, I know.

We grew up together.

No matter what happens, we are each other's closest family.

The most important thing for me now

is to win the Grand Competition and qualify for entry into the tower.

But my mind wanders, and I can't focus on anything.

Bai Shan!

Hu Jia?

Hu Jia.

Are you changing careers to become a gatekeeper?

Speak up! What do you want from me?

Hu Jia, do you want to defeat Xiao Yan?

Of course, otherwise, I wouldn't practice until late at night every day.

I have a Fighting Technique here that can perfectly counter Xiao Yan's Fighting Techniques.

- As long as you use it, I guarantee... - No need.

I know how to defeat Xiao Yan.

I can tell you that I have already obtained some pills from my grandfather.

I am now a Fighting Spirit.

Hu Jia,

I heard that Xiao Yan has a close relationship

with the Gu Clan.

What if Xun'er also gave him some medicinal pills

to boost his strength?

And there's that Gu Yao.

- He... - What about him?

Give it to me.

If this does not work so well as you said, you'll be in big trouble.

These ten jade plaques

serve as the vouchers to enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower.

The twenty students selected from the previous round

will draw lots and pair up.

Those who win within the designated time and seize the jade plaque

will have their names recorded on the new Strong Ranking.

Now, those who have qualified for the Grand Competition come forward.

- Number seven. - Number eleven.

Get ready.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

This is...

We'll meet in the arena later.

Number eleven will compete with number fifteen.

Xiao Xun'er won.

Number seven, enter the stage.

Number 7 is Xiao Yan!

Good luck.

You'll fight number three.

- Number three? - Who is number three?

- Number three is Hu Jia. - It's actually her.

Why is it Hu Jia?

It's going to be interesting.

Why are you here?

If Xiao Yan wants to have his name on the Strong Ranking, it won't be that easy.

Why?

According to my observations, Hu Jia has already broken through to the Fighting Spirit.

That's not good.

But for Xiao Yan, this match is not about winning or losing.

I think it's only about winning or losing.

I don't think you are number three.

Doesn't matter. Your opponent is me now.

Stop, stop, stop.

What? Surrendered already?

Don't play tricks.

You are a big bully!

You beat me so hard.

Then you surrender.

That way, I won't hit you.

Then you put down your big ruler first.

Happy now?

Hu Jia, we are fellow students.

There's no need to go so hard.

Great Rift Rock!

Xiao Yan, don't make excuses.

If you can't break my Fighting Technique, surrender obediently.

Fire-splitting Wave-gnawing Ruler!

Break!

What?

What Fighting Technique is it?

What Fighting Technique is Hu Jia using?

Interesting.

It seems like a defensive technique,

but if you don't break the stone formation, you will be trapped for good.

But Xiao Yan doesn't seem to intend to use his full strength now.

Hu Jia's Fighting Technique perfectly counters Xiao Yan's techniques.

It's impossible for him to obtain the plaque without going all out.

It looks like Hu Jia might win.

That's amazing.

Xiao Yan.

You'll never set foot where I, Bai Shan, can't.

What Fighting Technique is this?

Twelve Extreme Changes.

The Great Sundering Rock, the Infinity Change.

You can't break this formation.

Xiao Yan, don't blame me for tricking you.

Fighting Practitioners only care about victory and defeat.

Either you walk out of here with a win,

or you fall in the ring with a loss.

There is no third outcome.

Xiao Yan, what are you doing?

If you can't enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower, you won't be able to subdue Fallen Heart Flame.

Are you willing to be the Xiao Family's trash?

The Xiao Family's genius?

You're just a loser.

The Xiao Family really has no one left.

Xiao Yan. Shout it out!

Are you afraid of losing in front of others,

or that Xiao Xun'er will see you lose pathetically?

Xiao Yan.

Shout it out if you are angry!

Otherwise, how do people know how powerful you are?

No mountain is taller than a man.

You are right.

There is no third outcome.

Lion and Tiger Shattering Gold.

Xiao Yan is awesome.

I've never seen that before.

What a trick is this?

Is this loud enough now?

Xiao Yan, you won.

Does it still hurt?

It's okay.

Xun'er.

Xiao Yan, it was my fault.

- You finally realized it. You almost got Xiao Yan killed. - Exactly.

Xiao Yan, I'll never go against you again.

- What if you do it again? - Enough.

Playing tricks in the game means you're smart.

I forgive you.

Everyone,

the Strong Ranking Grand Competition of today was better than ever.

Based on your performance on the arena, as judged by the elders,

I would like to announce the Strong Ranking next.

The third place. Xiao Xun'er.

Applause.

The second place. Hu Jia.

Thank you.

Tied for second place.

Xiao Yan.

Tied?

Tied? Wait.

Headmaster, are you mistaken?

Who's the first place winner?

As for the first place...

It's over there.

[First Place Zi Yan]

[Jianan Academy, Medicine Forest]

The first place should have been mine.

It should have been mine.

Who is that?

Who are you?

This is the Medicine Forest of Jianan Academy. How did you break in?

[Han Feng, Medicine Emperor in Feng City] We had a deal before.

Have you forgotten?

It was you.

You're the one who hurt me with the fake pill, right?

Junior Brother,

why is your Fighting Energy so deficient?

Stop pretending to be compassionate. Isn't it all because of your fake pill?

Let's go.

Come with me to see the elders and make it clear. Go.

Looks like you were in a hurry.

The pill I gave you needs time to be digested.

You just took a fierce medicine,

and you were rushing to forcefully raise your Fighting Energy level,

and even fought with someone.

Think about it.

How can your body withstand this kind of torture?

Don't think I'll ever trust you again.

My medicine has never gone wrong.

Otherwise, I wouldn't call myself the Medicine Emperor

of the Blackhorn Domain.

Blackhorn Domain?

Medicine Emperor in Feng City? So you are Medicine Emperor in Feng City?

Think about it.

Who in the entire Jiama Empire besides Jianan Academy

can give you a Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill?

Since you are the Medicine Emperor, why did you hide your identity?

You...

You're coveting something from Jianan Academy, aren't you?

It's not coveting.

I came to your academy because I heard

that a treasure is inside the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower,

so I would like to have a look.

You want to enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower?

No way. Absolutely impossible.

You're an outsider. You'll never get into the tower.

- No way. - No worries.

It's not that hard to restore your Fighting Energy.

Just do me a little favor.

His pulse is still weak.

Xiao Yan, why don't we go find Headmaster Su Qian

and ask him to get everyone together to diagnose him?

Other than old man Yao, no one can cure him.

Old man Yao?

Xun'er, you've never pressed me about my past.

I know you trust me.

But it's time to tell you about this.

In fact, I have a very powerful teacher, the Medicine Sage of the Central Plains.

He taught me all my Fighting Techniques.

He's also the one who stabilized my brother's injury.

The Medicine Sage of the Central Plains?

It turned out that your teacher is such a powerful figure.

Then where is he now? Let's go find him together.

He's here.

He's inside the Storage Ring?

It's a long story.

Anyway, old man Yao can only stay in my Storage Ring for now.

This is a secret.

Never tell anyone.

So, I'm going into the Storage Ring now and ask my teacher to save my brother.

It turns out that every time you were in meditation before, you went to see your teacher.

Don't worry. I'll be out there keeping watch.

Okay.

Old man Yao, what happened to my brother?

Didn't you say you've stabilized his condition?

How could you fight in peace if I hadn't said so?

I have indeed stabilized his condition.

But too much tainted blood and turbid qi have been deposited inside his meridians.

It's necessary to comb through all his meridians.

Only after the tainted blood is discharged can he truly wake up.

What kind of medicine should we use then?

There's no medicine available.

The only way is to use Fighting Energy to directly break his necrotic meridians

and renew them after discharging the tainted blood. The process is extremely dangerous,

and he could bleed to death at any time.

Yet I can't go out of the Storage Ring right now.

On the one hand, if I go out, I will consume too much Fighting Energy.

On the other hand, even if I go out,

I still won't be able to save him without enough Fighting Energy to support me.

Then I'll do as you say.

This has never been done before.

Once you've made your decision, you can't go back on it.

By then, you'll do whatever I say.

You'll be my hands, my eyes and only listen to me.

My brother's life depends on you.

Let's begin.

Mobilize your Fighting Energy between your two hands...

and focus it on the "Wind Gate" on the back. (Fengmen acupuncture point, either side of 2nd thoracic vertebrae)

Open the meridians.

God, please keep Brother safe.

Medicine Sage, please save him.

Xun'er.

- How is it going? - Water.

Okay.

Here comes the water.

Here.

He drank it.

Thanks to old man Yao.

Xiao Yan, I would like...

I would like to thank the Medicine Sage.

Old man Yao, how are you?

Your brother's life has been saved.

Old man Yao, this is...

I'm Xun'er.

You brat.

Why did you bring a girl in while I am like this?

Master Yao, don't blame Xiao Yan.

It's my own fault.

I just realized that it was you who helped Xiao Yan

in the Storage Ring during those previous days.

You are his benefactor, as well as mine.

So I have to come to say thank you in person.

No wonder he kept talking about you all the way.

It makes sense.

Really?

Why do you always expose me?

It's okay. We have already met each other.

Don't take this lightly. Go and find Fire and Ice Dragon Beard Fruit.

Another medicine is needed for your brother to recover.

I'll go for it right away. You should stay to look after Master Yao.

Okay. You should go together.

Or you will miss each other. And I can't be at ease.

Old man Yao...

Go!

The Ice and Fire Dragon Beard Fruit is a superb medicinal herb.

It should only be stocked in the academy's elixir room right now.

- Doesn't the academy have a Medicine Forest?

Medicine Forest?

Students are not allowed to enter there without authorization.

Seems like it's because there's a monster.

I've heard that this monster is neither animal nor fowl, and it's very fierce.

A student was injured by it when he entered the Medicine Forest by mistake.

The Medicine Forest has since been banned.

Now all of the academy's medicinal herbs have to go through Elder Hao.

Is there really a monster in the Medicine Forest?
