[Battle Through The Heaven]

[Episode 22]

You're finally awake.

It was Elder Xuan Kongzi who found you in that abandoned secret passage

and brought you back here.

Where's that disciple of Deep Black Sect?

What disciple of Deep Black Sect?

Qiu Ling discovered that you strayed into a secret passage.

When I rushed to rescue you,

I found your Fighting Energy severely hurt.

You seemed to have been attacked.

It must be the disciple of the Deep Black Sect who attacked you.

This guy is really vicious.

Elder, based on your words,

do you think that there is something wrong with the Deep Black Sect disciples?

Back then, the disciple had secretly hidden prohibited medicine.

Now it has been detected again.

He has been dismissed and expelled from the Pill Realm.

What had you found before you were attacked?

Is there anything else you can think of now?

At that time, Little Fairy Doctor, Brother Mu, and I

were chasing after a suspicious man.

The minute we reached the stone tunnel gate, I was ambushed.

I remember nothing now.

I see.

Feng Xian, please take Xiao Yan back to have a rest tonight.

I'll add manpower to the game tomorrow and sift out suspects.

In my Pill Tower,

I'll never let those with ulterior motives take advantage.

- Are you okay? - Yeah.

Wind Sage, I met Mu Gu.

Where?

In the tunnel. It was Mu Gu who attacked me.

What's more, the three of us found the secret passage by following Qiu Ling.

Yes, Master. Xiao Yan noticed something odd about Qiu Ling, so we followed him.

The body of that Deep Black disciple was found in his own room with a fatal injury.

His cause of death was Qiu Ling's Taixuan Void Qi.

Did the First Disciple of Pill Tower kill the disciple of Deep Black Sect?

Qiu Ling was present as well, so we didn't tell the truth.

I suspect he is in collusion with Hall of Souls.

When in the secret passage, I heard very clearly another voice besides Mu Gu.

They seemed to be discussing a deal.

Qiu Ling said at that time,

the disciple of the Deep Black Sect had been expelled from the Pill Realm.

If he is the killer,

he should have moved the corpse elsewhere.

Their target is the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

It's a serious matter.

Whether there's evidence or not, we'd better get Xuan Kongzi informed.

Wind Sage,

let's catch him in the act.

Nourishing Powder will give his show away.

Qiu Ling is a high-ranking alchemist.

Even if he took that disciple's powder away,

he doesn't have to use it.

Unless he has no other choices.

Xiao Yan, you're just a Tier 4 alchemist,

while Qiu Ling is at Tier 8.

Isn't it a little too risky for you to do this?

Has Old man Yao been defeated once?

As for pill refining, your master was always the winner.

Thanks to the phantom butterfly, we can find these Core Soul Essences in Myriad Medicine Mountain.

They should be of great help.

I've got some, too.

Mu Qingluan, you liar!

You said you would come to see me tonight. What are you doing now?

- We have things to discuss. - I knew it.

You must have been stopped by Xiao Yan.

Well, well.

How dare you, Starfall Hall, bring in private goods?

No.

Miss, have you figured it out?

These medicine materials were collected by Brother Mu.

Okay, it's better to resolve this enemy than to end it. Here, sit down, please.

-What're you doing? - Have a seat.

- Listen, Qing'er. - I didn't mean to offend you.

These medicinal materials were collected by Brother Mu on his way to save you.

You can have them all as a witness's fee.

Let's forget about our past. What do you think?

Am I the kind of person who is short-sighted?

Did I say I wanted them?

Miss Qing'er, please accept these materials.

In the competition, please give us a hand.

Now, you're talking.

I'll consider it.

As for these medicinal materials,

it would be disrespectful to reject them.

Qing'er, let me walk you out.

Slow down. Qing'er.

Everybody, please start the refining with the materials that you collected before.

Those who complete the elixir within one hour are deemed to have passed the test.

Those who complete the elixir within one hour are deemed to have passed the test.

Now I declare the start

of the Pill-refining Competition.

Feng Xian, in the Central Plains,

the one with two Heavenly Flames

must have the Flame Mantra.

The so-called Xiao Yan's background refers to Yao Chen. Right?

Do you still remember

that you lost to Yao Chen back then at the Pill Meeting?

You said, if possible, you'd like to compete with him again.

How about we see your competition

as the one between Xiao Yan and Qiu Ling?

Although Xiao Yan has two Flames,

he's still at the same level as Qiu Ling.

Why are you so confident?

What makes you think they're at the same level?

Among younger generations,

Xiao Yan is the only capable one.

Mu Qingluan, from Starfall Hall, Grade 7.

Little Fairy Doctor from Starfall Hall, Grade 6.

Feng Qing'er from Wind Thunder Hall, Grade 7.

You're not that powerful.

Want to win over Xiao Yan?

I don't see that happening.

Don't stimulate me.

A loser is a loser.

Don't blame others.

Xiao Yan must win! Xiao Yan must win!

Must win! Must win!

Qing'er, be quiet.

Keep your voice down. Everyone is staring at us.

I'm helping him. Don't you understand?

The more arrogant Qiu Ling is, the more unwilling he is to lose.

Aren't you trying to force him into action?

Use your brain!

Admit your failure, Qiu Ling. You can't win over Xiao Yan.

Stop embarrassing yourself in public. Come off the stage!

Must win! Xiao Yan must win!

Xiao Yan must win! Must win!

Oh, no. It's exploding.

No. This just shows that it was Xiao Yan who refined the second Pill Thunder faster.

Qiu Ling's going to act.

Let me end this.

Grade 8 elixir of five-color Pill Thunder.

He did it.

Really?

Look.

He's so powerful.

Grade 8.

Xiao Yan from Starfall Hall

makes the five-color Pill Thunder, a Grade 8 elixir.

He ranks first.

Grade 8 elixir?

Now let's see if Qiu Ling is still that arrogant.

Finally said something nice.

I'm sorry.

I disgrace our faction. I'm ashamed as your student.

Qiu Ling, the result doesn't matter in the competition today.

Don't be sorry as you've tried your best.

Brother Qiu, do you really have a clear conscience?

What do you mean by that?

That disciple of Deep Black Sect

was killed by you, wasn't he?

What are you talking about?

Feng Xian,

although your disciple wins,

it doesn't mean he can lander my disciple at will.

If you want to protect your beloved disciple, then let everyone take a look

if there's Nourishing Powder in his furnace.

If there is, Qiu Ling should explain where he got it.

Master, I promise I didn't use prohibited medicine.

Please trust me.

Junior, inspect his alchemy furnace.

What's the result?

- It... - Junior,

today, elders and disciples of the Central Plains are here.

I asked you to inspect in public to provide a proper response.

We Pill Tower harbor no criminals,

nor do we connive evil.

Inside his furnace, there is indeed something wrong.

Qiu Ling, the competition tomorrow matters a lot to our honor.

You're my only inner disciple.

Take this item.

It will give you a hand and help you win honor for us.

What's wrong?

Flame of three colors. Reddish flame core.

Can't you Xuan Kongzi see that this is the trace of Nourishing Powder?

Impossible! Impossible!

Do you think that if you kill people and silence them,

no one will testify against what you did?

Elder Xuan Kongzi, I found the corpse of that disciple in his own room.

Later, I followed Qiu Ling into the secret passage.

Inside the secret passage,

I heard in the secret passage that someone was conspiring with Soul Palace Mu Gu.

He happened upon me and suddenly attacked me in the dark.

It's a prohibited medicine of the Deep Black Sect.

How did Qiu Ling get it?

Why was the disciple of Deep Black Sect murdered?

Elders, please investigate the incident fairly.

Master, I never betrayed Pill Tower.

Enough!

Qiu Ling, you're my only inner disciple.

I didn't expect you to commit such a crime.

Junior, put him under tight surveillance.

Hold on.

Since Hall of Souls is involved, it's not your internal affair anymore.

Feng Xian,

I'll investigate how Hall of Souls is involved and give you an explanation.

It is an indisputable fact that Qiuling uses prohibited medicine privately.

This matter violates the rules.

I have the right to punish him.

Xuan Kongzi.

You wanna make fun of me?

I didn't expect to see such a traitor in my Pill Tower.

Has Qiu Ling confessed?

I questioned him myself.

He has admitted that the Hall of Souls promised

to help him conquer Three Thousand Burning Flame.

The disciple of the Deep Black Sect

saw their collusion.

So, he was killed.

The Hall of Souls wants Three Thousand Burning Flame.

How would they help Qiu Ling?

I guess Mu Gu was just utilizing him.

Fortunately, Xiao Yan discovered it.

The conspiracy of Hall of Souls is finally being revealed.

Till now, no disciples of Pill Tower can conquer the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

Maybe it's time to be honest with me.

Feng Xian, I have always been aboveboard in doing things in my life.

I didn't try to hide what Qiu Ling did.

I've already told you everything.

What else do you want from me?

I want to know if the Three Thousand Burning Flame can be conquered

only by the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

The Three Thousand Burning Flame has been suppressed under Pill Tower for centuries.

Legends have it that the Ancient Dragon of Taixu was once its owner.

It's then rumored that the person who gets the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu

can obtain Three Thousand Burning Flame.

Even though it is true,

has anyone in the Central Plains seen the Ancient Dragon of Taixu?

Has anyone seen the seal with their own eyes?

Even though it’s hard to tell whether this is true or not,

you kept it a secret because you didn’t want Three Thousand Burning Flame to be owned by others.

Just because it was what Xuan Yi protected during his lifetime?

Feng Xian!

I forbid you to mention her name again.

Why can't I mention her?

Don't forget she died in the fight against the Hall of Souls.

She was a friend of both of us 50 years ago.

Now darkness is coming to the Central Plains again.

Let me ask you. What if Three Thousand Burning Flame fall into the hands of the Hall of Souls,

what can we do?

Xiao Yan should obtain the flame.

He's the one able to fight the Hall of Souls.

Feng Xian,

what I said about the seal is true.

Legends can't be proven.

The Star Region will be torn open tomorrow.

At that time, Xiao Yan can only rely on his own ability to conquer the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

At that time, Xiao Yan can only rely on his own ability to conquer the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

Master, we've put Brother Qiu Ling into the dungeon.

Keep an eye on him.

Spread the word that no one is allowed to visit him without my permission.

Send a team to have Xiao Yan under surveillance.

Yes.

Elder Xuan Kongzi insists

the Dragon Seal is just a legend unable to be proven.

Master has said we shouldn't overthink it.

When entering Star Region tomorrow,

we will have to rely on our own abilities.

Everyone should go to bed early tonight.

Actually, I'm not worried about the Dragon Seal at all.

You, what are you trying to do?

Do you believe the Dragon Seal will be mine for the taking?

Don't be kidding me. Of course, I don't believe it.

She will deliver it to your door herself.

I almost forgot. It's her!

I'm going to start.

Xiao Yan, can you do it?

Are you toying with us?

- What're you looking at? - Don't talk.

- I'm not talking. - Neither am I.

Who's talking then?

Zi Yan, you did come!

What does she, this young lady,

have to do with the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu?

She's from the Dragon Tribe.

Zi Yan, show them your Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

What seal?

The Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

I have no idea.

So, you called me here to help you find the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu?

I thought you refined some tasty elixirs.

When we get through this, I'll give you whatever elixirs you want.

Look for it quickly. Where did you put the Dragon Seal?

I really don't know.

Don't you have the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu?

Why would I have the Seal of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu?

Back at Jianan Academy, you said you were a descendant of the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

My dad told me I'm related to something like Taixu Dragon or Ancient Dragon.

Not a big deal.

It's a big deal.

Are you from the Dragon Tribe or not?

Is it important?

The Ancient Dragon of Taixu is the strongest. It impresses others the most.

I told those guys in Jianan Academy that I was the Ancient Dragon of Taixu.

so that they would be afraid of me.

I said that I was the Ancient Dragon of Taixu. So what?

Wanna eat more?

Xiao Yan defeated our eldest brother.

We can't simply let it go.

He must have used some tricks.

Brother Qiu Ling is not like that.

He's not likely to work with Hall of Souls.

Pooh!

Let's go. Let's settle accounts with Xiao Yan.

He wants to enter Star Region? Not a chance!

Let's go.

Have some, too. Don't be polite.

Slow down. There's more.

No hurry. No one's going to compete with you.

Don't be so pessimistic.

Think of the silver lining. Her background hasn't been proven.

Perhaps, I mean just in case,

she might be the Ancient Dragon of Taixu. Right?

What difference does it make?

She doesn't know what the seal is.

Is it that shiny thing in your hand?

Have you seen it?

Never seen it.

But I heard others talking about it.

I don't remember.

Zi Yan, can you think before you speak next time?

Is Xiao Yan in?

What brings you around so late?

Wind Sage asks to see him.

Master?

Wind Sage and Elder Xuan Kongzi want to discuss something important with you.

Please follow us to the side room of the Pill Tower.

Me alone?

Your master only mentioned you.

Where are they?

Wherever I take you, you will go.

Don't ask questions.

Is it true that Wind Sage asked you to come?

Do you have evidence?

- Illusionary Body. - Who on earth are you?

What's the purpose of bringing me here?

Let's go!

It's you.

There are restrictions here. They won't come for the time being.

Weren't you imprisoned by Elder Xuan Kongzi?

It's not difficult for me to get rid of some guards based on my skills.

What secrets does this Pill Tower hide?

Why did Elder Xuan Kongzi attack me?

Why are you pretending to help me after having joined the Hall of Souls?

I've already said

I didn't collude with the Hall of Souls.

Nor did I kill the disciple of Deep Black Sect. I'm innocent.

Innocent? Then why did you admit your guilt?

Rather than bringing shame to Pill Tower,

I would like to bear all the guilt myself.

Who are you covering for?

There was a night before the Pill Meeting started,

I saw the disciple of the Deep Black Sect acting inappropriately again.

Do you know what this is?

It's the treasure of Deep Black Sect,

Nourishing Powder.

It's not available anywhere.

Stop.

Nourishing Powder? It's the second time!

I'm no threat to you.

I've never dreamed of being in the top ten.

I just want to go to Myriad Medicine Mountain to get some top-grade medicinal materials.

and sell them to make some money.

Then, my trip will be worthwhile.

How about this?

Let's make a deal.

If you make it convenient for me, it will naturally be beneficial to you.

What would you give me in exchange for it?

This Nourishing Powder.

When you refine pills, it helps to lift the pill to the next grade

no matter what the current grade is.

As long as you're careful, no one will find out.

I don't need it.

Let's see Elder Xuan Kongzi now.

You are really upright.

What a pity.

Your Master, Xuan Kongzi, is a sheer hypocrite;

a villain.

How dare you insult my master's honor?

See it yourself in the secret passage beside the east side gate,

then you will understand what kind of person he really is.

To be honest, I was shocked by what I saw.

The chief of alchemists in the Central Plains

turns out to be a lackey of the Hall of Souls.

At that time, I thought the disciple of the Deep Black Sect was deliberately slandering my master.

I didn't take his nonsense seriously.

So, I reported his behavior to Master.

You didn't take his Nourishing Powder?

That's right!

At the Pill-refining Competition,

what I put inside the furnace was ordinary Qi-gathering Powder.

When Elder Tian Leizi inspected the furnace,

there was Nourishing Powder in it.

The furnace was given to me by Master.

It struck me at that moment that there was no other person,

except my master, able to do that to my furnace.

But in public, I couldn't expose him.

That's why I was willing to plead guilty.

Why should I believe your words?

On the eve of the Pill-refining Competition,

I saw it was my master who pushed you out from behind the stone door.

I originally going to ask Master for the medicine cauldron

but I found you following me on the way.

After getting rid of you, I kept observing secretly.

As a result, I discovered that scene.

Master.

Qiu Ling, you came at the right time.

Xiao Yan was injured in the secret passage.

Take him back. I'm going to find Wind Sage.

Qiu Ling,

the disciple of the Deep Black Sect

has been disqualified and expelled for hiding prohibited medicine.

Qiu Ling, remember you've been with me

for the whole night tonight.

That's the only answer, should anyone ask.

Besides, we two found Xiao Yan together.

Other than that, you saw nothing else.

Got it?

I understand.

I thought of what that disciple had said.

I wanted to push open the door to see what was hiding behind it.

But I didn't do that in the end.

There is a voice in my heart telling me to believe in Master.

I can only believe him.

Then, why don't you open that door and see clearly for yourself?

If you were me, and the one in front of you was Wind Sage

or the Master Yao Chen, would you push open the door?

- I would. - No, you wouldn't.

Once the door is open,

the fame of Starfall Hall might be destroyed.

The people you trusted and respected

would be destroyed as well.

I believe in what I see with my eyes.

If everything I believe is false,

I would uncover it even if it was Medicine Sage.

Okay.

I'd like you to open the door for me.

Let me see clearly what kind of person my master is.

Brother Mu. Little Fairy Doctor.

This is...

It's the Knock-out Powder of Pill Tower.

Little Fairy Doctor.

Zi Yan. Zi Yan...

Xiao Yan, we were attacked just now.

Sister Zi Yan was captured by them.

Darn it! There must be a Dragon Seal on her body.

The Hall of Souls succeeded. How could I be so careless?

It's not the time for these words.

It'll be daylight soon.

They are about to enter the tower to assemble. You must enter the tower.

It's the last chance to stop the Hall of Souls from getting Three Thousand Burning Flame.

Qiu Ling, you traitor who colluded with the Hall of Souls.

Why's he here?

Qiu Ling is innocent.

We were wrong about him.

Now, let's split up.

Brother Mu, we two find Zi Yan together and go to Star Region later.

Little Fairy Doctor, you go find Wind Sage with Qiu Ling.

No matter what it takes, we must check up on Xuan Kongzi.

Elder Xuan Kongzi?

What's going on here?

Are the ten children prepared?

No need for those ten children.

I've got the Dragon Seal.

This is not what you promised me.

I want both Heavenly Flame and Xiao Yan even more.

With the Dragon Seal,

I can conquer the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

With the flame,

are you still afraid that you won't be able to defeat Xiao Yan?

The Hall of Souls can not be ordered by others.

Around this world, no one but me can use the Dragon Seal.

When the time comes, you trigger the spell,

and I will take the Dragon Seal into the Star Region

to help you conquer the flame.

This is your last chance.

Whether you can get the person you want back depends on you.
