[Battle Through The Heaven]

[Episode 1]

Young Xiao Yan from the Xiao Family in Wutan City, Douqi Continent

was once the family's youngest Fighting Practitioner in a century.

[Xiao Yan] But overnight, he lost all of his Fighting Energy. (Douqi means "fighting energy")

[Young Xiao Yan]

Xiao Yan, Fighting Energy Stage Three.

Rank: Low-level.

The former genius became a waste.

Nalan Yanran, Xiao Yan's fiancee, and Misty Cloud Sect's young chief, publicly annulled their engagement.

To wash away the family's shame, Xiao Yan made a pact with her

for a battle at Misty Cloud Sect three years later.

A mysterious figure appeared from the Storage Ring Xiao Yan was wearing.

He is the number one alchemist on the Douqi Continent, Yao Chen.

[Yao Chen] Under Yao Chen's guidance, Xiao Yan traveled around,

not only taming the 19th-ranked Heavenly Flame, Green Lotus Core Flame,

but also defeating Nalan Yanran easily three years later.

The only constant in the world is change.

[Hall of Misty Cloud Sect] Don't underestimate anybody!

Nalan Yanran, I, Xiao Yan, am back!

Now, with greater power, Xiao Yan

is targeting his new goal, Jianan Academy.

[Jianan Academy]

Great moving technique.

Halt!

[Hu Jia, student of Jianan Academy] - What happened?

Someone's trying to intrude on the tower.

Go and find Wu Hao.

- All right. - Okay.

What a bold thief.

[Xiao Xun'er, student of Jianan Academy] Who are you? How dare you intrude on the tower!

Wait! Wait!

Xun'er, I should have come earlier.

Xun... Xun'er, don't cry. I've come back, haven't I?

Xiao Yan, you really kept your promise and came back.

It's been two years. How have you been?

I went to the Magic Beast Mountain Range, attended the Alchemist's Grand Meeting,

then defeated Nalan Yanran at Misty Cloud Sect.

You fought against the entire sect alone,

and managed to escape from the hands of a Fighting Ancestor strongman in the end, surprising everyone.

You... You already knew?

Brother Xiao Yan, I'm truly proud of you.

Xun'er, is it you over there?

You came stealthily at night. It's not easy to explain.

I'll go distract them. Let's meet again tomorrow.

Xun—

- Xun'er, where is that thief? - Where is he?

The thief? I didn't see him.

I chased him all the way here, but found nothing.

He must have been scared off by the bell just now.

Hu Jia, let's go back and rest. I'm so tired.

Let's go. Come on.

Let's go.

Young man, be focused.

Let's get down to business.

This Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower is indeed tricky.

It has strong barriers on all three layers.

Do you know how long it's been since I last saw Xun'er?

One year and 363 days.

This Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower must have treasures inside.

It's not a wasted trip. You're not wasting your time.

I was telling you that seeing Xun'er again is not easy.

And I promised her to come back within two years.

Didn't you just come back? Didn't you already meet?

Old man Yao, do you still have any emotions?

Do you know why Jianan Academy is called the number one academy in the Jiama Empire

and even the world?

Of course, it's because it has top-notch Fighting Practitioners from the Jiama Empire.

The reason it can cultivate such Fighting Practitioners lies in this tower.

By obtaining the treasures inside, when you go back to the Xiao Family,

even the Misty Cloud Sect won't be able to do anything to you.

With that Xun'er, are you still using your brain to consider what I said?

- Old man Yao, you... - Bear with it.

If you're in a hurry, find a way to get in yourself.

Old man Yao! Wait for me, Old man Yao.

Old man Yao!

Old man Yao! What's so hard about entering the tower?

[Storage Ring Space] Winning the Grand Competition should do the trick.

Xun'er.

I've been looking for you everywhere. What? Do you have something on your mind?

I'm thinking about the person who came for the tower.

Who do you think it would be?

I told you before.

When those few stars align,

Xiao Yan will come to Jianan Academy.

After two years, I want him to see a better Xun'er than before.

Do you think it might be Xiao Yan

who tried to intrude on the tower?

Let me ask you. What exactly is the relationship between you and Xiao Yan?

In childhood, I was arranged by my father to grow up in the Xiao Family in Wutan City.

Although the Xiao Family treated me well,

they were polite and distant.

Only Brother Xiao Yan never treated me as an outsider,

always making me feel safe and happy.

Later...

What happened later?

Later, he encountered unexpected changes, lost his Fighting Energy,

and was called a waste.

But I always believed that Brother Xiao Yan would definitely rise again,

and he indeed did.

What a moving story.

In fact, Brother Xiao Yan originally had the qualifications to enter Jianan Academy.

The delayed enrollment was to fulfill his

three-year agreement with Nalan Yanran.

Now that it's done, he should come back.

I, Xiao Yan from Wutan City, want to participate in the Strong Ranking Grand Competition.

First, you're not a student of Jianan Academy.

Second, even if you become one,

there are many experts in Jianan Academy.

Do you think you can make it to the rankings?

I doubt you can even stay alive.

First, I'm not here to study,

and I don't need to be a student of Jianan Academy.

Second, bring those experts you talked about.

- But... - Who dares to talk so arrogantly?

Senior Brother Bai Shan is here.

- Senior Brother Bai Shan. - Senior Brother Bai Shan.

Talking big might cost you.

Senior Brother Bai Shan, this is Xiao Yan who insists in

participating in the Grand Competition.

Isn't this a provocation?

You are Bai Shan?

Since you know who I am, get out of here now.

I never heard of this name.

Why don't we have a spar outside?

Xiao Yan, right? Want to join the academy?

I'll teach you a lesson first.

Stop it.

Bai Shan,

the academy strictly prohibits private fights.

What are you doing?

Headmaster. Elders.

This guy, Xiao Yan, lied that he was a student of Jianan Academy,

and arrogantly talked about participating in the Grand Competition.

He disturbed the academy's rules.

I was about to teach him a lesson.

[Elder Hao, teacher of Jianan Academy] You are Xiao Yan?

Yes, sir. I have no other requests. Just let me participate in the Grand Competition.

This is simply outrageous.

So many people racked their brains but couldn't get into the Jianan Academy.

And you just see this as a game?

Sir, it's true that Xiao Yan was late,

but it's because there were family matters. It was unavoidable.

Moreover, hasn't Jianan Academy always claimed

to be open-minded and value strength?

Xun'er, why do you keep defending someone like him?

He's my brother. Of course, I'll defend him.

[Su Qian, headmaster of Jianan Academy] Since he's an exception,

we need a special exam.

Let's give him three tests.

Three tests?

All right! No matter what the tests are, I'll accept them.

Xiao Yan!

Xun'er, I think he's embarrassing you.

Is that all?

Now, it's my turn.

Baji Collapse.

For the last test, it's quite simple.

No need for a match. Throw a punch at me.

I want to see how much strength is in that fist.

Wait! If I throw a punch, won't it be offensive

regardless of its force?

Does that mean I lose anyway?

[Elder Hu Qian, teacher of Jianan Academy]

You are so young, how much strength can you have?

Don't worry.

This time, if you satisfy me with your punch,

I'll give you a fair judgment.

Come on, punch me.

Ouch, it hurts. Sir, you...

You are so powerful.

Sir, are you okay?

Well, you asked me to do this.

You can't go back on your word.

So, did I pass the final test?

Can I attend the Grand Competition?

Yes, you can.

Now, I announce that from today onwards,

Xiao Yan is officially a student of Jianan Academy,

qualified to compete with other students for a spot on the Strong Ranking.

How could he?

Yeah.

Headmaster. Elders.

Xiao Yan has only passed the additional tests.

Why is he allowed to attend the Grand Competition?

- That's right. - He's right.

- Why does he have the right? - That's unfair.

And according to the rules,

he shouldn't even become a formal student of our academy.

Blocking everyone else outside

is not what Jianan Academy would do.

In this Grand Competition,

if Xiao Yan defeats the students we've trained,

what will you say?

Listen carefully.

Competition leads to improvement.

Congratulations, Classmate Xiao Yan.

From now on, like me,

you're a student of Jianan Academy.

Oh, yeah!

What should I pay attention to in the Grand Competition?

I need to be fully prepared.

You got me. Don't worry about that.

You finally made it into the academy.

Shouldn't you take a look around first?

Xun'er, you're right.

Jianan Academy is the most famous academy on the Douqi Continent.

I can't come here for nothing.

The top ten students who win the Strong Ranking Grand Competition

get to enter the Blazing Sky Qi Refining Tower for refining.

Those who have potential can swiftly raise their strength.

The competition consists of two rounds, lasting for ten days.

All Inner Academy students can participate.

Winners of the first round will receive rewards of methods and techniques

and enter the finals after ten days.

Old man Yao, I can enter the Strong Ranking Grand Competition.

Now you can tell me about the treasure at the bottom of the tower.

Just go in there and see for yourself.

Why don't you come out with me to take a look?

Me going out? Do you how much Fighting Energy

it will cost me to leave the Storage Ring?

If I perish by then, who's there to take a look?

I ask you to come out, you won't come out. I ask you to tell me, you won't tell me.

I'm not going to join the Grand Competition.

For the three-year agreement, you gave the Misty Cloud Sect a hard time,

and Yun Shan threatened to wipe out the entire Xiao Family.

Are you planning to wait for death and do nothing?

- You... - All right.

Let's just hide in the Storage Ring for the rest of our lives.

How is that?

I've never been a coward.

Although Yun Shan is stronger than me now, I'll still go to the Misty Cloud Sect.

Kiddo, your time here is not in vain.

After you get what's at the bottom of the tower, you'll have confidence when you go to Misty Could Sect.

What's at the bottom of the tower?

The Fallen Heart Flame, ranked fourteenth on the Heavenly Flames Ranking.

Do you know now what your mission is at the Jianan Academy?

To subdue the Fallen Heart Flame?

Old man Yao! I remember you told me that the Heavenly Flame

is the rarest power on the Douqi Continent.

It's already a blessing for ordinary people to have one.

Because of its violent nature, if not used carefully, it can lead to disaster.

But I already have the Green Lotus Core Flame.

Can I still have the Fallen Heart Flame?

Why do you think I taught you the Flame Mantra?

Does the Flame Mantra allow me to possess two kinds of flames?

Three?

Legend has it that since the beginning of time,

there are 23 different Heavenly Flames across the Douqi Continent.

The so-called Flame Mantra can burn the sky, devour the earth,

and subdue all Heavenly Flames in the world.

Subdue all Heavenly Flames in the world?

Do you want to become stronger?

The Fallen Heart Flame. I'll have it.

There are only two people you need to be wary of in the academy.

The first one is Hu Jia, a mid-level Fighting Grandmaster.

She excels in using a whip, and her agility is unmatched.

If her whip gets you, you'll die or be seriously injured.

The second person is Bai Shan, a high-level Fighting Grandmaster.

As a prominent figure in the academy in recent years,

he has more than just a flashy appearance.

His strength is also formidable.

Are you listening to what I'm saying?

They're strong.

However, you missed one person.

There's no one else.

She's right in front of me.

How can you forget about yourself?

You have an exceptional talent in cultivation.

I know it better than anyone.

Now you're doing good at the Jianan Academy,

your strength is surely no less than that of a high-level Fighting Grandmaster.

I think you're the most outstanding Fighting Practitioner in Jianan Academy.

Heavenly Flames are destructive. And rarely seen.

Even if you encounter one, there's no guarantee you can successfully subdue it.

Therefore, choosing this path of the Heavenly Flames

is choosing a more difficult path.

I've always been able to endure hardship.

It's true that you can endure it, but you're more like a gambler.

You're betting that you'll encounter a Heavenly Flame.

Only by enduring hardship can one become a master!

What's more, after I subdued the Green Lotus Core Flame,

I felt that my Flame Mantra had evolved as well.

Don't try to control it;

instead, sense it and follow it.

No, the Green Lotus Core Flame is disobedient.

It's not the Green Lotus Core Flame that's disobedient.

It's your Fighting Energy.

Fighting Energy?

You've reached the critical moment of breaking through to the Fighting Spirit.

Really?

Of course.

However, the breakthrough might happen tomorrow or next month.

But the Strong Ranking Grand Competition won't wait for me.

Old man Yao, do you have any other way?

Yes.

Practice hard.

Xun'er, what's the matter?

I'll take you to eat something delicious.

Let's go.

You still remember I loved eating this when I was little.

Of course.

I also know how you went to the Misty Could Sect

and ended the three-year agreement with Nalan Yanran.

I just wanted her to know that she shouldn't have humiliated the Xiao Family like that.

Now the feud is over. I have nothing to do with her anymore.

But will the Misty Cloud Sect let it go?

If the Misty Cloud Sect won't let it go, I'll fight them to the end.

Don't be afraid.

If anyone dares to challenge you, they have to beat me first.

No way.

You're a girl, and I'm a boy.

Boys should protect girls.

Though you're a Fighting Spirit, I still want to protect you.

How do you know that?

I sensed your strength as a Fighting Spirit when we first met.

Xun'er! Xun'er!

Why did it take you so long to open the door?

You're not hiding someone in your room, are you?

What are you talking about?

Don't you want to eat? Go ahead.

Why is there only one left?

It's not right. I smelled something different outside.

How could it be? It's the same smell, no mistake.

Xiao Yan!

Tell me. What's your relationship?

- He's my brother. - She's my sister.

This… This was for me!

- Who do you think will win, Bai or Xiao? - I think...

- Of course, Bai Shan will win. - We have to teach him a lesson.

- His Thunderbolt Fighting Technique... - Am I right?

Everything can be ended with one strike.

That was before.

Think about how Xiao Yan passed three tests and entered the academy.

You all saw it with your own eyes.

Bai Shan only represents the past.

I think Xiao Yan has a better chance of winning.

Is that so?

Stop.

Who do you think will win now?

- Bai Shan will win. - Bai Shan will win.

Come here.

Xiao Yan got enrolled in the academy late and has become a rising star in Jianan Academy.

Bai Shan, you've been overshadowed.

Xiao Yan just got enrolled by luck.

Just see how he will lose to me in the first round of the Grand Competition.

A genius?

That guy is weird.

He's also a Fighting Master like us.

If we want him to lose in the first round,

I think we should make full use of the rules and team up.

Count me out.

Why do you...

Xiao Yan has some strength.

I want to fight him one-on-one and win him on my own.

- Fine. - Count me out, too.

- Bai Shan. - Because this time I must defeat him myself.

No, no, no.

If we don't team up, are you sure you can win?

No matter how powerful Xiao Yan is, he's still a Fighting Grandmaster.

As long as we break through to Fighting Spirit, we're sure to win.

He has a shot.

Is it so funny?

No.

Cultivation can't be done so quickly.

Take your time.

This place is not good.

I'll go somewhere else.

- What to do? - Yeah.

- Well... - Are you done?

Brother Shan, there's nothing we can do this time.

You've been murmuring for so long. Now you're telling me you can't do it?

Brother Shan, the Purple Heart...

The Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill is a forbidden medicine.

I know you well.

All those elixirs, monster cores, Fighting Techniques, and secret skills

that can't be bought in many academies come from you. Right?

Well, why can't you get me the Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill?

Brother Shan, it's clearly written on the list of forbidden medicines.

Once discovered, we'll all be expelled.

Are you finished?

Go. Go.

Don't expect me to help you again.

Why are you still here?

I...

I might have a way.

What can you do?

The Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill is indeed forbidden, and I dare not touch it.

Brother Shan, if you really want it, I can find someone outside.

It's not impossible.

It's just that you have to meet them yourself...

Filled with Fighting Energy.

The waning moonis in the middle of the sky.

Six gold stripes.

The elixir is made.

Filled with Fighting Energy.

The waning moon is in the middle of the sky.

Six gold stripes.

The elixir is made.

Filled with Fighting Energy.

One Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill, requested by Bai Shan of the Jianan Academy.

All right.

Don't call my name.

This is the Purple Heart Barrier-Breaking Pill.

Isn't it interesting?

Since Xun'er came here, she has been with me every day.

- But after this guy came... - Of course not.

They all came prepared.

The first round of Strong Ranking Grand Competition begins now.

Most of them are low-level Fighting Grandmasters.

There are no more than five high-level Fighting Grandmasters.

Everyone probably wants to avoid the strong ones and save their strength.

Do you think I'm easy to defeat?

Today, I'll show you what I'm capable of.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

You're finally willing to fight in person.

Xiao Yan, the match today is only about you and me.

I want to ruin your chance to enter the tower in front of everyone.

No matter what your purpose is,

today is the end.

You're talking with your Fighting Energy on. How long can you last?

Sister Jia, what's wrong with Bai Shan today?

He's consuming his Fighting Energy quickly. Can he hold on?

He's been practicing hard for this day.

Xiao Yan will have to admit defeat.

No, something's wrong.

I'll go check it out. Take care of yourself.

Xun'er, we've never had a one-on-one match.

Don't mess around. You're no match for me.

Let's try.

Don't cry out in pain if you lose.

Do you still want to fight?

Yes!
