So guys, I'm here in a bedroom and
what I like to do is actually turn
off all lights, shut the blinds, close the
shadows and we're ready to rock because I
want to create the light where I want
it and one by one I'll open up
everything and see what I find.
In this case, this is my bedroom, I
actually know the lighting here pretty well.
I love this because I've got this beautiful
light that I can open up and as
you can see, it works really well.
So I'm going to get Lisa right here
and take some really cool portraits using window
light which is one of the easiest lights
to use because it's big, it's broad, you
can shape it just simply by changing your
angle and it's a great place to start
because you can get so many photographs under
your belt without changing a single thing.
So let's do that, let's come back a
few little shuffles, a few little shuffles this
way and turn your body this way a
bit more and I want this toe point
towards me, right out, slide the heel back
in, bend the shoulders back and lean the
chest forward and now turn your face right
in there, that's stunning.
Gorgeous and I'm going to shoot three-quarter
here so this is not as important per
se to make perfect on the bottom but
we certainly will have some fun.
I quite like the way you're doing that
with your hands, that's gorgeous.
Yeah, the lighting is perfect and turn your
body slightly, touch in, gorgeous.
Okay, so we take our time, yeah, she
looks stunning there.
All right, so now we are going to
shoot with the daylight white balance, the image
area, I'm pretty much fine with that.
I'm going to raise my ISO here probably
to about maybe a thousand at this stage,
let's just sort of see where we get
to.
Yeah, that's looking stunning, that's beautiful and okay,
250 speed, 3.5, 1000 ISO, the lighting
is really, really beautiful.
Turning the body away from the light source,
face back in, arms off the body, shoulders
back there a little bit there for me,
Lisa.
Okay, eyes at me, gorgeous, hold it, beautiful,
little hint of a smile there for me,
that's gorgeous and eyes just here, beautiful.
Now, it's really important too that you can
remember, lock yourself into a stare, Lisa, so
just stare, that's it, stare.
Now, breathe through your mouth, that'll make the
lips look more sensual and then a hint
of a squint, beautiful and don't forget you
can just go right in, don't waste that
shot, you've already done some hosing and lighting
and you've done all that stuff already but
now just simply get right in there, nice
and close, eyes at me, gorgeous, hint of
a squint beautiful, let's have a look at
that shot, just stunning and eyes over here
again, you can see the shot, can't you,
that's beautiful, that's good, you're looking at yourself,
it's like, oh my god, that's awesome, stay
where you are, all right, Dylan, gonna get
you right in there, mate, so don't waste
this opportunity, right, you're right here, you might
as well get him in, come right behind
and bring your face on this side there,
mate, if you can, so right behind, shuffle
your feet right in, that's it and then
chin forward, right like this, good, now Lisa,
turn your face profile to me, yep and
then you're going to bring your face in,
mate, yeah, that's beautiful, that's perfect, see we've
got split lighting on the groom, we've got
beautiful light on the bride, I feel like
I want her ear in shade, so I
might just turn your face this way a
little bit more, more, more, there we go,
this time, mate, I want you to turn
your face in this way, there you go
and chin up, more, good, love that and
then chin up for me too, Lisa, it's
gorgeous, yeah, that's beautiful, love that, man, you
guys really should procreate, that's all I'm saying,
beautiful, love that and now Lisa, eyes at
me, gorgeous, you see how we've got that
beautiful short lighting on the bride and we've
got split lighting on the groom, that really
works, now both of you this time, I
want you to turn and looking out the
window, both of you pick a spot just
over here where you can see, so this
time I am going to get a profile
of Lisa, so actually turn your body, actually
turn your body completely towards him, all the
way and then rest your forehead right on
his cheek there, yeah, that's beautiful, that's good
and eyes down and you're looking about over
here, actually I've changed my mind here, so
eyes down, tilt his face this way, yeah,
that's good, just there, turn your face a
bit more this way, Dylan, perfect, eyes there,
really cool, all right, love that, Dylan, eyes
at me, all right and just think we've
already got your wedding photographs in the can,
here we go, awesome and now I love
the fact that we can just crop in
close and we get a different mood altogether,
so Lisa, I want you looking up out
the window and a bit to the right,
can you face to the left a bit
more, actually that's nice too, get that again,
face a bit more towards me, gorgeous, just
there, oh, that's gorgeous, just your eyes a
little bit to your left, perfect, hold it,
hold it there, hold it, I don't want
to get his eyes in and I want
to get there, just lips together for me,
Dylan, good, hold it, this time I am
going to crop square, yeah, that's beautiful, love
that, awesome guys, hold it, can you face
a touch towards me, Lisa, stop, just there,
stunning, hold it, beautiful, stunning, check that out,
now we're going to do one with a
veil over you, so Dylan, you can relax,
let's bring the veil right over, so what
I want you to do, I want to
have that feeling in the motion that you're
sort of adjusting it, so I want to
bring this hand up high and this hand
a bit lower, that's perfect, yeah, you know
exactly what I want, turn your face this
way, chin down and lean forward with your
chest, good, don't move, beautiful, stunning, hold it
there, bring your arms into your body a
little bit more, good, just there and I'm
going to shoot now two by three ratio,
bring your hand up a little bit higher,
this one, that's gorgeous, yep, yeah, that's beautiful,
eyes down, perfect, all right, let's get Dylan
in for one shot, so you can relax
totally and now we're going to get you
on the fringe of the light, this is
just going to show the audience here watching
quite a few ways that we can use
window light, turn your face that way now,
that's good, come closer to me, oh, too
much, come back, lean forward towards the light
and then chin down, turn your face towards
me, good, you're going to look right here,
awesome man, really cool, hint of a squint,
awesome, hold it, perfect, yeah, it looks really
good, turn your shoulders towards the window and
then chin down and turn your face to
the right a bit more, just there, turn
your whole body that way again, good and
your face to the right again, that's awesome,
now your eyes just here, that's it man,
hold it there, awesome and how beautiful is
that.
