With Joanna and Babis

we were doing a session
on the beautiful island of Santorini

We went to their favorite place
on this island

(I don't remember the name)

with their favorite son: their dog.

In this image we look for...

The legend says there was a tiny cave

(Babis had not gone there)

So, we surround this area,
this small island,

we found that cave.

The idea was that they were
romancing and having a good time,

and shoot through these cracks,

and take advantage of these two diagonals
that will take you to them.

The background is clean,

because we have the ocean under them,

no distraction lines,

just them, romancing.

We tried several times
that their dog went to them,

and we were lucky
and it worked in one photo,

and this was the image.

In this second image

the sun was going down

I was shooting through a backlight,

I really liked the effect,

manual lens, manual focus,
everything was a little slower than usual,

but I liked that connection with them.

It was with a 35mm lens,

designed for Leica
but I used it in this session,

just to feel each other,
to speak kind to one another...

It's awkward to have
a photographer one arm away,

but little by little they flowed,

I overexposed this image
and then recovered the information

and this is the image.
