This time, for this video we traveled far.

We took 6 planes, and 2 donkeys

and we arrived in the sister republic

of Saltillo, Coahuila. Yes, sir!.

We did a session for Marian y Checo,

I did this guys's weddings two years and a half ago

and it was amazing.

Checo is the Creative Director of an Advertising Agency

and Maryam is into fashion.

I don't know... We had a great connection

since the appointment we had.

To convince them to make their wedding (2 and a half years ago)

I told them: "Let's make a casual session,

it's on me. If we feel a connection, we go for it."

Because I got out of your budget

and... I felt like we were going to do a great match.

Sometimes the number can be complicated

for many people

and you can put yourself this barrier:

"You are not for me, I am more expensive."

Fuck that.

If I see potential in the couple, we talk,

(I normally do some photos)

and from there, if they like the result, they hire me.

In them it worked.

And we are still friends, so

please, don't be so hard on "this is what I cost, and that's it."

Many times, adjusting the price a bit

solidifies the benefits of our portfolio, so...

Well...

We went to Saltillo's downtown.

I previously asked Checo to find the location,

I like to get to a place where I do not know what I'll find.

And he took us to a graffiti area.

I honestly am anti-graffiti, as you can see in my photos,

and I liked that challenge.

I thought: Ok, what can we do with this?.

There were some amazing graffities

and some others looked like shit, to be honest.

So, in my head I thought:

How could we find those graffities that could gave is a clean photo?.

And, it was kind of difficult,

I started looking and could not find, and...

... I came back to my values.

The first photo was this shot that...

It was a completely horizontal wall,

a small wall, and...

I don't know, I have this thing with making "one" out of two

and not so much about hugging, but

to merge them in the same plane.

One of the rules in photography, is not to merge your subjects, but...

when you don't really care about that rule,

I think you can have interesting results.

So, for this one, I told Checo to get on top

and Maryam was placed very close to him.

So, we played with that.

He hugged her with his legs.

And, there was a flirt, and then I told Maryam to follow us

we made this sequence there while she walked towards us.

It was interesting.

We did this same picture from approach to the farthest angle I could.

Up there were some f*cking electric wires

and I already knew that I had to erase them, so...

you take the picture knowing you'll have some postproduction work to do.
