but we're gonna go to the

I'm sure everybody
has a set of these

somewhere on them at some point.

I'm not exactly sure,
these are called keys.

I don't really
have much of this.

Everybody knows how to take
keys off a ring, right?

Or has AI fixed that yet or no?

All right, so usually it
takes a long time like that.

That's usually how this
kind of stuff goes.

But now to get it back on
is obviously equally as bad.

So what you wanna do is
you wanna line that up,

you put it on there, it
looks like it's on there,

but, you know, it's
not on there yet

so make sure you
put it on like so.

But if you hold it tight enough,

it'll actually end up
on the ring itself.

Exactly, it goes right
through the middle of it.

I know, isn't it crazy?

No, but the problem
is you gotta reseal it

'cause it gets it once.

If you hit like this,

it'll actually come
directly back off again.

I know, I'm not
sure how that works.

Of course, if you
catch it like that,

it'll catch it right
back onto the ring,

I'm not exactly sure
how that works either

but you gotta make sure
you hit that one spot.

Exactly, make sure

'cause it looks like it might
come off equally as fast.

Now this is getting redundant

It's so amazing to be here,

my name's Chris Korn

and I'm a magician.

At a young age of 14,

my best friend, Sidrod,
got a magic kit for Christmas

and we stayed up all night

and did probably the worst show

for his mother in the morning

trying to learn those things.

But eventually I
joined a magic club

and I met one of the
best closeup magicians

in the history of magic

and his name is Harry Monty

and he was so kind to take me
under his wing and help me.

And he said, "Chris,
you can travel the world

"with just a deck of cards."

Which I found a little
absurd at the time,

not knowing that
by the age of 19

I would be in Japan
lecturing and performing.

So my favorite thing is trading
ideas with magicians, right?

You come up with a new idea

or you have an idea,

say, "Oh I like
what you're doing

"and I like what you're doing

"maybe we'll trade
ideas secretly."

And then hopefully you
take that piece, that idea

and you make it your own.

So I met these magicians
that were also 19 in Japan

and they showed me something,

so I'm gonna share
that with you tonight

and it's so good I'm gonna
sit down and watch it myself.

(audience laughing)

So it uses a deck of cards and,

ah, spring these out
just a little bit,

take a second.

All right, so when traveling.

I got on the plane,

it was my first overseas flight

and they gave these out.

A blindfolds, right?

To help you sleep,

I have blue eyes to
they're sensitive.

And you put 'em on.

When you put these on,

(audience laughing)

you fall asleep.

I mean I really just fell
asleep right then it happens.

So I'm not gonna use these,

I just thought I'd
show them to you.

And you can stay in your seat.

the complete and normal way,

These are very important
things for card tricks

because you don't wanna do them

like every magician does them,

that's no good.

If you do them like
every magician does them,

then it makes no sense.

So we're gonna do this just
a little bit differently

with a well shuffled
deck of cards.

I'm gonna go ahead and take
the phone if you don't mind

and we are going to,
great, if you don't mind.

And I'm going to open
the the stopwatch thing.

Have you ever done the stopwatch
where like you stop it?

Have you ever tried to actually.

But we're gonna try this
with just simply a card trick

and a shuffled deck of cards.

So here's what's gonna happen

is I need you to name any four
of a kind that you'd like.

Now four of a kind,

there are four suits
in a deck of cards.

Hearts, spades,
clubs, and diamonds.

And there are four cards,

one in each suit.

Like for instance the four aces.

There's an ace of
spades, an ace of clubs,

an ace of diamonds,
and an ace of hearts.

Now you don't have
to name the aces,

you can name whatever you want.

What four of a kind
would you like to name?

- Queens.
- Queens.

Those are very good.

Now we are going to use that.

So what I'm gonna do
is set up this timer

with our shuffled deck of cards.

- Okay.

- When you feel
comfortable, not yet,

but when you feel comfortable,

you're just gonna
press the stop button.

- Okay.
- When you do,

it's going to stop-

- Okay.
- On a number.

But you can control
the amount of seconds,

but what you can't
really control

is the amount of milliseconds
which we established earlier.

So whatever it stops,

we're gonna use
the milliseconds,

I'm gonna deal down

and we're gonna do

quintessential illusions

that pop into your head, right?

You've got a sawing
a lady in half.

- Yeah, yeah, the orange tree.

- You've got the the
water torture cell.

- Buried alive.

- You know, heaps of cards.

- So we wanted to like
do one of everything,

but we don't have
that kind of time.

So instead you are gonna select

one of these
quintessential classics

and we are going to perform
that one for you all now.

So we just need
somebody to pick number

one through, yeah

wicked hard as it is.

projectile flying at you.

So it's "Masters Of Illusion,"

we gotta make this
way harder by adding-

- Four confetti.

- A whole lot more
confetti, yeah.

We're gonna just trim these.

Oh yeah, no, we're going.

No, we're going for it tonight.

That's a lot more
than rehearsal.

Definitely four
pieces on the floor.

the floor, definitely.

get all of that in there.

- We should probably do safety.

that this, the safety

this particular confetti cannon

does not use any
gunpowder or pyrotechnics,

it simply uses compressed air.

However, before the
show I did replace it

with Axe body spray, so.

- They're gonna smell us
all the way in New Jersey.

- Enjoy.

- Now this is gonna be a
little loud so here we go.

I'm gonna arm the cannon.
