I know you guys have seen a lot of magic today,

but we're gonna go to the life hack portion of the show.

I'm sure everybody has a set of these

somewhere on them at some point.

I'm not exactly sure, these are called keys.

I don't really have much of this.

Everybody knows how to take keys off a ring, right?

Or has AI fixed that yet or no?

All right, so usually it takes a long time like that.

That's usually how this kind of stuff goes.

But now to get it back on is obviously equally as bad.

So what you wanna do is you wanna line that up,

you put it on there, it looks like it's on there,

but, you know, it's not on there yet

so make sure you put it on like so.

But if you hold it tight enough,

it'll actually end up on the ring itself.

Exactly, it goes right through the middle of it.

I know, isn't it crazy?

No, but the problem is you gotta reseal it

'cause it gets it once.

If you hit like this,

it'll actually come directly back off again.

I know, I'm not sure how that works.

Of course, if you catch it like that,

it'll catch it right back onto the ring,

I'm not exactly sure how that works either

but you gotta make sure you hit that one spot.

Exactly, make sure you hit that one spot

'cause it looks like it might come off equally as fast.

Now this is getting redundant but by 45 minutes, you'll see.

However, we just melt that right back in there,

you can actually see that it will

end up right back on the ring.

so there's no questions in the end.

I'm gonna cover two of these cards with the coins

these are 1964 pure silver half dollars.

The only year they made 1964 silver half dollars.

The coins will vanish one at a time and they

will reappear underneath the card with this coin.

It's so amazing to be here,

my name's Chris Korn

and I'm a magician.

At a young age of 14,

my best friend, Sidrod, got a magic kit for Christmas

and we stayed up all night

and did probably the worst show

for his mother in the morning

trying to learn those things.

But eventually I joined a magic club

and I met one of the best closeup magicians

in the history of magic

and his name is Harry Monty

and he was so kind to take me under his wing and help me.

And he said, "Chris, you can travel the world

"with just a deck of cards."

Which I found a little absurd at the time,

not knowing that by the age of 19

I would be in Japan lecturing and performing.

So my favorite thing is trading ideas with magicians, right?

You come up with a new idea

or you have an idea,

say, "Oh I like what you're doing

"and I like what you're doing

"maybe we'll trade ideas secretly."

And then hopefully you take that piece, that idea

and you make it your own.

So I met these magicians that were also 19 in Japan

and they showed me something,

so I'm gonna share that with you tonight

and it's so good I'm gonna sit down and watch it myself.

(audience laughing)

So it uses a deck of cards and,

ah, spring these out just a little bit,

take a second.

All right, so when traveling.

I got on the plane,

it was my first overseas flight

and they gave these out.

A blindfolds, right?

To help you sleep,

I have blue eyes to they're sensitive.

And you put 'em on.

When you put these on,

(audience laughing)

you fall asleep.

I mean I really just fell asleep right then it happens.

So I'm not gonna use these,

I just thought I'd show them to you.

(audience laughing)

And you can stay in your seat.

What is your name?

- My name is Tina. - Tonight you'll be Lisa

and it'll make it easy.

And we are going to have you choose a card

right from your seat.

I'll just do this.

I'm gonna ruffle through the cards,

brand new deck and just say stop.

we'll mix them up for no reason.

We are gonna do a card trick.

Yes, the death defying card trick.

No, no, no, it's just a normal card trick.

But however, I didn't wanna do this

the complete and normal way,

which is why I had to bring up your phone.

These are very important things for card tricks

because you don't wanna do them

like every magician does them,

that's no good.

If you do them like every magician does them,

then it makes no sense.

So we're gonna do this just a little bit differently

with a well shuffled deck of cards.

I'm gonna go ahead and take the phone if you don't mind

and we are going to, great, if you don't mind.

Perfect, great opening that.

And I'm going to open the the stopwatch thing.

Have you ever done the stopwatch where like you stop it?

Have you ever tried to actually.

Oh. - Yes.

- I've never done that before.

That was an accident, that was super cool.

Oh my gosh, I literally never done that,

that was so cool.

Here you try it,

try to stop it exactly on one or two.

Yeah, see it still doesn't do it.

That would've been so cool.

I've never done that before,

but I always try to do that.

That was really amazing.

But we're gonna try this with just simply a card trick

and a shuffled deck of cards.

So here's what's gonna happen

is I need you to name any four of a kind that you'd like.

Now four of a kind,

there are four suits in a deck of cards.

Hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds.

And there are four cards,

one in each suit.

Like for instance the four aces.

There's an ace of spades, an ace of clubs,

an ace of diamonds, and an ace of hearts.

Now you don't have to name the aces,

you can name whatever you want.

What four of a kind would you like to name?

- Queens. - Queens.

Those are very good.

Now we are going to use that.

So what I'm gonna do is set up this timer

with our shuffled deck of cards.

- Okay.

- When you feel comfortable, not yet,

but when you feel comfortable,

you're just gonna press the stop button.

- Okay. - When you do,

it's going to stop-

- Okay. - On a number.

But you can control the amount of seconds,

but what you can't really control

is the amount of milliseconds which we established earlier.

So whatever it stops,

we're gonna use the milliseconds,

I'm gonna deal down that many cards

and we're gonna do this four times.

Go ahead and press stop whenever you wish.

- So here at "Masters of Illusion,"

when you think of illusions,

there are like some quintessential illusions

that pop into your head, right?

- So many.

You've got a sawing a lady in half.

- Yeah, yeah, the orange tree.

- You've got the the water torture cell.

- Buried alive.

- You know, heaps of cards.

- So we wanted to like do one of everything,

but we don't have that kind of time.

So instead you are gonna select

one of these quintessential classics

and we are going to perform that one for you all now.

So we just need somebody to pick number

one through, yeah you right here,

can you do me a favor?

Can you just pick any number one through five?

- Four. - Four, okay action.

So F-O-U-R.

Nope, that's the same one.

- We'll actually do number four.

- Yeah. - You wanna take that?

So you could have picked anyone that you wanted

and we didn't do any weird thing

- We're gonna be performing the bullet catch.

- That is actually the one trick I didn't want to do,

which is why I made sure that the rest of 'em

said card trick.

So I don't know how you managed

but it's fine, it's not your fault.

So tonight we're gonna do-

Now here is the thing,

so CW would not let us actually use a live firearm

on this stage. - It's dangerous.

- Yeah, so- - And tonight,

we are gonna level up,

we're gonna take it to a brand new level

and tonight we're gonna be using a cannon.

- Some of you are applauding

and some of you leaned back like,

"I don't know if this is gonna work."

No, no, no, it's not like a normal sort of canon,

this is a cannon you can find like at any kind of like

a party supply store.

This is a-

- [Together] Confetti cannon.

- So if we're gonna use a confetti cannon as a gun,

we're going to need a very unique kind of bullet.

- That's right, what I have here

are blank pieces of confetti

and who's helping us out?

Ah, tremendous.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Sophia.

Sophia, what I want you to do is reach in there

Fun fact, a single piece of confetti is called a confetto.

That's just how language works.

And now we are gonna load it into the-

Now, to make this exponentially more difficult,

because here's the thing,

a bullet catch is already wicked hard as it is.

You've got one projectile flying at you.

So it's "Masters Of Illusion,"

we gotta make this way harder by adding-

- Four confetti.

- A whole lot more confetti, yeah.

We're gonna just trim these.
