[Love of Petals]

[Episode 18]

It's raining.

Qingcheng?

Why isn't she using an umbrella?

Immortal Lord,

what brings you here?

-Let me. -Let me.

You go about your business.

Thank you.

Your Excellency.

I will surely repay

your great kindness in the future.

These are snacks I made myself.

No need to be so formal.

My name is Yuxiao.

You can just call me Yuxiao.

Yuxiao, meaning Jade Heaven?

From the clouds descends a celestial being from the Jade Heaven,

exuding an ethereal grace, delicate and beautiful like a true fairy.

That's a lovely name.

Please, try some.

Thank you.

Are you

the Flowers Immortal Lord?

What did you say?

Your Excellency,

please accept my bow.

My name is Gu Qingcheng.

I am a florist from Pingcheng.

Lyu Gengyun.

Why are you feeling uncomfortable?

He is the real Flowers Immortal Lord.

If one day,

you're not by Qingcheng's side,

wouldn't it be good if someone else takes care of her?

Is it delicious?

It's delicious.

I've searched through all the ancient texts recently.

I've also conducted experiments.

Transplanting roots of flowers from the same family

can be successful.

However,

it's difficult to disperse the spiritual energy from the roots

throughout the entire flower.

You've been researching lately

how to make the Moonlight Peony bloom without withering.

It's still for the purpose of using its roots

to exchange for Lyu Gengyun's life.

The Moonlight Peony

is a unique treasure in this world.

Once it's destroyed,

your dream of ascending to immortality

will also be ruined.

If

using the roots of the Moonlight Peony

to save my master

would cause it to wither,

I'll find a way to revive it again.

Why must it be an either-or choice?

I once knew a woman

who went through countless hardships

to cultivate and become an immortal.

Step by step, she ascended to the position of Flower Goddess.

But because she developed delusional thoughts,

her cultivation was completely destroyed.

In the end, she gained nothing.

I don't want you to end up like her.

Don't worry, Your Excellency.

I know what I'm doing.

I won't give up on immortal cultivation easily either.

Since you're so determined,

why don't you cultivate the Flower-Mending Stone with me?

Flower-Mending Stone?

I think I've heard of it before.

Is it about transforming the patterns cultivated on stones

into flower stems?

That's correct.

This way,

it can solve the problem of

spiritual energy not being able to reach all parts of the flower after grafting.

Forgive my directness, Your Excellency,

but if your immortal technique is so advanced,

why can't you directly save my master yourself?

Wouldn't that be faster than teaching me?

This technique

requires the balance of yin and yang,

a man and a woman,

to be successfully cultivated.

With just one person's effort,

it's difficult to master.

I see.

Thank you, Your Excellency,

for offering your help again.

No need to thank me.

I can teach you this immortal magic,

but you must promise me

that no matter what happens in the future,

you will not give up on your bright future.

I understand.

Thank you for your reminder, Your Excellency.

Remember,

don't have any distracting thoughts,

and don't be influenced by any external disturbances.

Rest assured, Your Excellency.

Coming to this secluded place

is to avoid disturbances from the outside world.

How is it?

Do you feel

your internal organs

being cleansed by spiritual power?

Yes.

This woman

has excellent innate qualities,

exceptional talent,

and a passionate love for flowers and plants.

She is truly a rare find.

If unencumbered by love and affection,

she would surely become an excellent flower fairy.

Immortal Yuxiao,

I feel my palm burning.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

No,

this is a normal phenomenon.

Now, channel the spiritual power cultivated in your palm

and transfer it to the Flower-Mending Stone,

forming meridians.

Why can't I calm down today?

She hasn't come all day.

Master.

Master.

I went to see the Flowers Immortal Lord today

to cultivate the Flower-Mending Stone.

She went to cultivate Flower-Mending Stone with Yuxiao?

I want to become more powerful,

stronger.

Then,

maybe I'll be able to protect you.

You've always been protecting me.

Are you alright?

You've just acquired immortal power.

Your use of spiritual energy is

not yet effortless enough.

But look,

there's already a circle of meridians on the Flower-Mending Stone.

Your Excellency.

Is it done?

It's not quite done yet.

Only when the meridians

cover the entire Flower-Mending Stone in circles,

can it be considered complete.

So it will get more difficult as you progress.

Qingcheng is like me,

without parents,

living under someone else's roof.

I must help her sever her emotional attachments,

and protect her on the path of immortality.

I can't let her go through

the same struggles and hardships I did.

Immortal Yuxiao,

I will work twice as hard.

As long as you're humble and willing to learn,

not just about the Flower-Mending Stone,

I'll also teach you

I will teach you other things I know. I know.

Thank you for your guidance, Your Excellency.

This is good news.

I must quickly tell my master.

Qingcheng,

I teach you immortal magic

to help you ascend to immortality.

Will you then also call me master?

Master,

today I have already

cultivated a meridian on the Flower-Mending Stone.

Impressive.

Little gardener.

Are you complimenting me?

Master,

tomorrow is the Floral Competition.

Will you

cheer for me?

I believe

you will definitely win first place.

Tomorrow is the Floral Competition.

Inject this into the Moonlight Peony.

Don't leave any traces.

Yes.

Contestants of the final round of the Floral Competition,

Pingcheng,

blessed by the Flower God,

enjoys spring-like weather all year round,

with flowers blooming throughout the city.

Therefore, the winner of this final round

will directly receive the spirit pill

to reach the Mystic Branch Stage.

Only three flowers have been selected for the final round.

We will showcase them one by one,

and the one with the most votes will win.

Great!

Everyone has a flower in their hand.

After the three flowers are displayed,

everyone will put their flower

into the corresponding basket.

The one with the most flowers wins.

Great!

Let the display begin.

The first one,

Starlight Rose.

I heard that

this Starlight Rose was

the first one cultivated by the Plum Blossom Fairy.

Is that so?

It's indeed a divine creation.

Beautiful, beautiful.

The second one,

Jade Begonia.

Let me tell you about the Jade Begonia,

it's a divine creation from the Begonia Fairy's heart and soul.

It's a once-in-a-century sight.

The third plant.

Moonlight Peony.

It truly lives up to its name as the Moonlight Peony.

I've heard it's a masterpiece.

The last one who grew it was the Flower Goddess.

Could it be that this Gu Qingcheng is

the reincarnation of the Flower Goddess?

Everyone, you can start voting now.

What's that?

Look quickly!

What's going on here?

Guards!

You two,

go check what's happening.

It's a demon!

It's a demon!

It's a demon!

Qingcheng.

My Lady!

Qingcheng

My Lady!

My Lady!

What's going on?

My Lady!

Qingcheng!

Qingcheng!

My Lady!

Qingcheng!

My Lady!

Lyu Gengyun.

Tiandong?

Why are you here?

Something happened to Gu Qingcheng.

Qingcheng.

What happened to her?

Gu Qingcheng's Moonlight Peony emits toxins,

causing people to faint.

Everyone thinks she's a demon.

That she planted poisonous flowers

to absorb the spiritual power of Pingcheng's flora.

How could she possibly be a demon?

Immortal Yuxiao,

as the Flower God,

cannot interfere in mortal affairs.

I had no choice but to come here

to inform you.

Let me out!

What you dare not handle,

I will take care of it.

You heard everything, didn't you?

As immortals,

we cannot make an exception for Gu Qingcheng,

nor can we stand by and watch Gu Qingcheng

be wrongly accused.

I

can help you

escape from this Red Spider Lily barrier,

and I can guarantee

that these Red Spider Lilies will not wither

within the next two hours.

You

go and save her.

Kill her!

Demon!

Kill her.

I'm not.

Kill her.

I'm not.

My lady is not a demon.

Kill her.

I'm not.

Kill her.

Let her go.

She's not a demon.

She's not.

My lady is not a demon.

Kill her. Kill the demon.

I'm not.

Let her go.

She's not a demon,

Let her go.

My Lady.

Father.

Kill the demon.

Everyone, everyone.

Please calm down, please calm down.

Qingcheng is my daughter.

She grew up in Pingcheng.

She can't possibly be a demon.

Nonsense, Master Sun.

Your surname is Sun.

Your daughter's surname is Gu.

She's not your daughter at all.

That's right.

Maybe

she really is a demon.

Kill the demon!

My lady is not a demon,

Many of you have watched her grow up.

How could she possibly be a demon?

She can't be a demon.

This demon, isn't she about to reveal her true form?

My Lady.

We humbly request Your Highness to make a decision.

Kill this demon woman.

To restore peace for the people of Pingcheng.

Your Highness, please investigate carefully.

You must investigate thoroughly.

Please investigate carefully, Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Please investigate carefully.

Please have mercy, Your Highness.

Guards.

Execute Gu Qingcheng

on the spot.

This...

Execute her! Execute her! Execute her!

Your Highness, please show mercy.

Execute her! Execute her! Execute her!

Execute her! Execute her! Execute her!

No!

Your Highness.

My Lady!

Your Highness.

Please have mercy, Your Highness!

Please release my lady, Your Highness.

You're here.

Qingcheng.

Wait.

Can you hand Qingcheng over to me?

I think she probably wants to go home now.

You're finally back.

On the way back

to Qingcheng Flower Nursery, the Red Spider Lily

has already suffered significant damage.

I tried my best,

but couldn't make it last even for two hours.

I'm sorry.

You're back at last.

You all talk amongst yourselves.

I'll take my leave first.

Where's the Gu girl?

She's in the safest place.

This...

Master.

This...

The demonic aura has started to consume Master's heart meridian.

Master.

-Let me share your demonic aura with you. -No.

If you absorb the demonic aura,

and can't control it,

you'll become a demon yourself.

I'm sorry, Master.

Ye You,

help me.

I...

I can try.

No.

You're a celestial attendant.

Only demons can help other demons share demonic aura.

Assist me.

Wushuang.

Rise.

No, Wushuang.

Wushuang.

Wushuang.

He's the son of the Demon King,

the one with the most potent demonic aura in the world.

On your own,

not only can you not help him,

but you'll also destroy yourself.

-Let’s try again. -Wushuang.

Wushuang.

Wushuang, listen to me.

I know.

For five hundred years,

these five hundred years, it's only been

the three of us together.

I want to save him, I want to save him.

I'm sorry.

Wushuang.

You can't do it alone.

I can.

Wushuang.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

Master.

Master.

You have me too.

You have me too.

That's right.

You have us too.

Master,

even though I'm old,

these old bones of mine

can still bear some demonic aura.

Let's work together.

We'll definitely help you overcome this crisis, Master.

Master,

you brought us from the ends of the earth,

gave us a home.

You must live, you must!

I don't want to live without a home anymore.

Without you,

we wouldn't have the life we have now.

Yes.

Together, we can surely overcome any difficulties.

Master,

if you live,

we can live too.
