mess, because just three days ago a wedding

planner contacted us and told us if we

were free on June 5th.

We told him that he was busy, and

just when we said that he was busy,

we received the call from the couple who

was getting married on June 5th, who was

actually getting married for next year, and he

tells us that he postpones the wedding for

December of next year.

I mean, he postpones it for like six

months, right?

We quickly called the wedding planner saying, hey,

we are free again, right?

So that's why the mess, right?

Let's see if we are lucky that the

wedding that was postponed to December is free

on June 5th.

Let's see if we can put a new

date there, right?

Well, in this video I would like to

talk to you a little bit about photographic

technique or about one of the creative resources

that we usually use, or that we use

the most, or that we use in the

largest number of weddings, whether it's for, for

example, posing or portraits, or whether it's to

capture moments, right?

The truth is that we call it the

3x3 technique, and well, although it seems a

little, a little filmy, a little strange, it

doesn't come, I mean, it's still what we

always say, right?

I mean, three photos, three steps.

It's still so strange, right?

The story is that, as you already know,

as you already know, I usually explain myself

quite badly, but, thank God, I don't talk

about math, or I don't talk about science

or medicine, but about photography.

And the luck I have is that, as

I usually express myself, or I don't usually

speak very well, the luck I have is

that, thank God, I'm a photographer, and when

I show images, I think you understand me

better, right?

So then, what I have prepared is like

a series, well, it's four different series of

four, I mean, four different images to explain

myself better, right?

To explain what this 3x3 consists of, okay?

or a much richer file, much more visual

and much more interesting, right?

And it's still forcing us, unconsciously, to work

non-stop until we get an image as

interesting as possible.

To get a wedding in good conditions, or

to get interesting images, sometimes you can have

a stroke of luck, and then magic appears,

and suddenly an incredible image jumps out of

nowhere.

But, as you know, or you can imagine,

to get a little interesting images, you need

to work hard, right?

So, what I'm going to do first of

all is to show you the first series

to explain what the damn 3x3 is and

I'm sure you'll understand, okay?

Look, first of all, what I want to

show you is this image that you are

seeing now, which is still a normal image,

in which I asked the couple to stand

there, face to face.

You see that the starting point is something

very simple.

You say, well, the couple kissing, the couple

about to kiss, more or less, with the

environment, and that's it.

Of course, this is the starting point, right?

But I had already told you that it's

something about 3x3, right?

It's three steps, three photos.

So, we're going to take three more steps

forward and we're going to take a completely

different image.

I mean, unconsciously, we're going to force ourselves,

both Erika and I, all the time to

say, okay, first photo, which is like the

basics, right?

And it's like the starting point.

But we're going to take three more steps

and we're going to try to change everything.

We're going to force ourselves to try to

get something completely different, okay?

And once we get three more steps closer,

we're going to see how we shrug our

heads again to try to get something completely

different, as is the case of what you

are seeing now, right?

Of the hands that were playing with each

other, right?

And now we're going to shrug our heads

a little more, okay?

And we're going to see what we can...

Of course, remember that I told you a

while ago, like several months ago, about a

chapter, and in fact I recommend that you

Photographer or one of the points, or one

of the elements that I usually like the

most are always the hands, but there are,

for example, elements such as lips, as could

be eyes, and such, right?

That is still more about talking about body

language.

So then we're going to change to another

image so you can take a look at

it too, right?

And you see that, in this case, we

start with something super basic, with something that

is, well, when the guests were having dinner,

they were celebrating it, well, a super testimonial

photo, right?

In which, well, you can...

It's a photo that doesn't have any tricks,

it's very simple, very simple, but it's the

starting point, as always, right?

Once we have the starting point, we're going

to complicate everything more, we're going to take

a few more steps forward, or back, as

was the case, and include the couple there.

Once we have, for example, the couple there

with the environment and all this, we're going

to complicate ourselves again a little bit more,

okay?

And we're going to get closer until we

get this image, okay?

I mean, notice that I always follow, or

we follow, sorry, the same pattern with Erika.

First super simple photo, we're going to think,

okay, I have this, I'm going to get

closer, I'm going to get away, but I'm

going to do something completely different.

It was the case of including someone, right?

The couple, in this case.

But think that we could have included any

guest that was talking to each other, a

couple of guests that were very, very sweet,

almost about to kiss, and then we're going

to look at elements that we like, that

are part of our project.

Hands, eyes, or whatever you want, okay?

Okay.

I mean, we're going to go now for

another series to explain it even better, and

I'm going to stop at a series, for

example, by Erika, and it was from the

last wedding we had in Italy, sorry, not

last, the last wedding we had in Italy

in September.

It was Pascale and Daniela's wedding.

You see that, for example, Erika was photographing

something, well, more or less, it's not simple,

but well, she was photographing an environment, right?

I mean, where you can see the dress

on one side and the bride making up

on the other side.

You know, Erika, just like me, we're going

to go around the subjects to photograph, right?

To think, okay, I have this photograph made,

which is the starting point.

I mean, my head has to move to

the maximum to create something, to think, okay,

I've already done this, I'm not going to

be doing the same thing all the time,

I'm going to get closer, I'm going to

see how I can scratch, and you see

that, well, Erika had this one that comes

out just Daniela with the mirror, there, I

mean, putting lipstick on and all these things,

but so far, the two images we've seen

were correct, they were beautiful, but they were

still wedding photos, something else, I mean, it

hadn't been contributed, or Erika, until this moment,

she wasn't adding anything new, okay?

Notice how suddenly the pattern changes, oh, sorry,

the movement changes, she puts herself right on

her back and takes out this image.

You see that for me, this is the

image that I needed, or that we wanted,

so that when we have the final report,

this type of image gives it that added

value, that extra value to the report, and

consequently, it gives it strength.

Of course, you see that, I mean, many

times there are, for example, colleagues who ask

us, fuck, how did you get this idea?

And where did this come from?

In many cases, it doesn't occur to us,

it doesn't occur to us, in particular, like

this, but, sorry, but it's about working, working

and working, okay?

And we're going to go to the last

series, which I already did, and we're going

to start with a very simple photo, which

is this one.

It's a photo in which the priest comes

out, or the parish priest, with the two

grooms, with Pascal and Daniela as well, right?

Notice how simple it is.

I had just mounted the 20mm, because it

was time to take family photos, and, well,

they were very, very large families, so I

used the 20mm to cover everything.

Of course, I had the 20mm, he approaches,

I mean, all the group photos had already

been taken, the priest approaches and says he

wants a photo with the couple, right?

I still have the 20mm, but of course,

my surprise, when the priest grabs with his

hands, hands, both Daniela and Pascal, both Daniela

and Pascal, running forward three steps, until I

had this one.

is to start from a starting point, super

simple, in which we have to be aware

that we are not contributing much, but we
