Ok guys...
For this picture
they are placed with a soft light.
"Tunnel light", from left to right.
That's why their faces are turning
towards the light source.
If they turned to the other side
their faces will be completely shadowed.
And I just was evoking them.
They have been together for many years.
Their story is romantic and very funny.
My idea is always to
make my couples feel uncomfortable.
I try to get a reaction from them
by making noises,
baby noises, or robot...
Any unexpected noise
to get true smiles.
And in this case,
a friend that was there with us
-and helped me with the video-
I asked him to throw the skateboard,
we throw it four or five times.
The skateboard is part of his life,
this guy was a skater.
He started doing photo and video
because of skateboarding, so...
that unexpected element
that might be like:
"WTF? what is that doing there?"
But for them, it has an emotional value.
That's why I like to add those elements.
Get to know the couples
and add things about them into the picture.
Maybe not all the time, but
when the idea comes, go for it.
