This is Lanny.

Guys, thank you so much for trusting us

on this journey.

We know the sacrifices that you've made to

be here.

So you are getting everything we've got.

Some of you that signed up for this

probably had no hesitation at all.

Some of you, on the other hand, probably

had to think long and hard.

But I just want you guys to know

whatever you're feeling right now, whether it's excitement,

nervousness, terror, maybe even a little bit of

regret, it's all okay because you're here and

we're here.

And really that's all that matters right now.

You're taking a step.

You're taking a whole bunch of steps towards

being a better photographer.

And you might not realize this yet, but

being a better photographer usually means being a

better person.

And how lucky are we to be in

that position?

To be in a profession, or maybe it's

just a hobby for some of you, but

to be in a pursuit that allows for

constant betterment and innovation, constant questioning, and constant

struggle.

And it doesn't matter if you are a

fledgling beginner or a masterful photography wizard.

You are at the beginning of a new

era.

And it begins right now.

Right now.

By taking all your expectations about what you

think this course is or what this course

is not and throwing them all out the

window.

We want you to open your mind to

receive the unexpected.

Open your heart to receive the undefinable.

Give yourself a blank canvas to paint something

much more interesting than whatever you can envision

right now.

Because this whole journey that we're going to

go on together, it's going to come with

a lot of uncertainty.

And that uncertainty is going to be uncomfortable.

It just is.

But that's okay because uncertainty is opportunity and

possibility.

If you think about it, when you have

certainty around something, it usually means one option.

Uncertainty is like unlimitless options.

Uncertainty is the essence of adventure, and it's

the essence of art, and it's the essence

of photography.

Yeah, and photography is art.

Life is art.

Guys, we have so much to explain, but

for now, thank you.

You've trusted us on something that would never

have been possible without you.

You've asked for everything.

We're giving you everything.

It's going to be fun.

It's going to be challenging.

Probably going to be deep.

It's going to be very honest.

I can promise you that.

It's going to be everything we've got and

everything you make of it.

But those are all expectations.

That's right.

So forget all that shit, okay, and just

strap in.
